Been eating here for over 15 years back when it was under different management/owners. They have both North/South Indian cuisine. Favorites are the Bitter melon, Aloo Ghobi, and Okra. And the garlic naan is the best garlic naan I’ve ever had. I’ve taken over 10 people here and they all love it.

Wow! Went here for first time today, the lady at the front was so sweet, even let me get a sample of a curry sauce 🍛 The chicken biryani was so delicious and the garlic naan buttery and golden brown- such good prices and homey atmosphere. Nice little place which is Mainly known for the daily currys and chats they offer. Food is tasty at a very reasonable price.We tried Samosa chat and Bhel puri. Samosa felt very fresh and the outer layer crispy. Chutneys used were yummy. They also serve Indian breads with curry either to-go or here. Also carry some sweets.They also have basic grocery stuff. A little expensive on the packaged stuff but still works out during crisis.If you need something as a lunch or dinner combo veg/non-veg then this is the place to visit daily.

Prices are great as compared to other Indian spots. Interestingly, I ordered ahead, and noticed that the chicken biryani was 11 dollars on caviar, as compared to 12 on grubhub. If you’re ordering ahead online, do it on caviar. If you’re ordering for yourself, definitely call the order in.Interior is very crowded as it’s both a store and a restaurant. Service is good from the young man and woman working.The food: wow. AMAZING. I’m coming back to try everything on the menu. I don’t really know how to describe the chicken biryani besides tons of spice and flavor, and great portion size. Already planning when to come back.

This is not the first time I ordered food here. The first time I ordered here was online during the pandemic. I got the aloo gobhi, garlic naan, and samosas with chutneys. The food was delivered to me hot and fresh. The aloo gobhi was very filling and perfectly spicy. The food was so delicious and I had enough to store in the fridge and reheat for 2 more meals. The samosas were still crisp and steaming on the inside. They were also filled generously.I went here the other day to get lunch. I was able to come and try the food for myself. The chapati was so delicious. It was flaky and melted in my mouth, it was thin and held the biryani and curries well! The samosas were as delicious as I remembered. The chutneys were savory, tart, and a little spicy, they complimented the samosas and chapati so well. The curries were fresh, rich, and smooth in flavor. The vegetables and chickpeas were tender. The vendors also made and sold Indian desserts. I will go here again to get lunch and try more Indian cuisine.

I am a Jamaican and I have something to say what this owner one day did to me. I always support these people and their business. My children and I live in Torrance, and buy Indian food since part of my culture as a Jamaican we eat curry. One say I passed twi peole sitting outside, a man and woman. I passed by to enter the restaurant and politely said hi, good evening to an Indian woman and man. I was passing between them so I didnt want to be rude. I entered the restaurant and I noticed an oversized Indian man that was ordering. That man became very nervous when he saw me and became very violent in his attitude for no reason, I figure because I am black wearing a mask. He doubled his fist as if he 8nstamtky wanted to attack me. I realized that the woman I Said hi to was his wife and child. I didnt do anything wrong just being polite. It was such a tension that I became nervous. I always come to this place and support. The owner sees me on many occasions and I even know his sons. They see me all the time coming to the Zebra bar. I drink there and eat at their restaurant. This man didnt try to make his customer comfortable, I asked him dont toy know me? He denied me that he never see me before as if he was disregarding me. Its such a shame to see a fight could have happened between me and the big guy. Your God is ashamed of you. I always support you and I felt so belittled by him when he should have stood up for me. Its my people that fought to make you be here 8n America and can be able to have a business to help.yout children. Its the 1965 immigration act Drm Martin Luther King have congress signed so you people can come here and be successful. All asians whether from India or China etc. Its appalling to see your behaviour and how you people think you can treat African american in such derogatory way. The owner and his son are really great people. The food is great (their samosa, being the only exception, is really badly cooked) service is great in the sense that they try and they care.Will continue going there(especially for catering) as long as they are around.Do be prepared for bit of delay and need for follow up. They just dont have the best of the processes in place. Still overall 5* food and generous big hearted people.

What a treat for Indian visitors and residents living in the neighborhood. Good variety of Indian food. Mostly take away. Little seating outdoor. It has a buffet of Indian dishes for take away. Also ala carte made to order fresh. Reasonable prices. It also has a grocery store indoors. Owner is very friendly and greets with a smile. Dont miss the karak chai.

Good food, terrible service. I ordered the lunch special and they forgot the dessert. But the guy working the counter was such a jerk I just wanted to get out of there.He looked and behaved super annoyed the entire time I was ordering.I had the goat curry and cant deny it was pretty good, flavorful and spicy. The chapati was also freshly made. I found another Indian eatery close by so unless That place is closed I probably wont be coming back here anytime soon.If I have a craving for Indian food that includes meat Im going to try and yelp another spot before this returning to this one.

I came with a friend to spend the vacation in LA and was introduced to this place by him as it was near to his house. Its a good shop with authentic north Indian food at a very reasonable price. I really like how they welcome their customers with complimentary Indian chai. The chicken tikka I took from there was good too. It is also a one stop shop for all the Indian spices and snacks you need. The owner is a Punjabi guy who greets you with a smile. A nice cozy place for Indian food lovers.

I only go there as a last resort to buy my British favourites like tea and biscuits. It’s the only store close to home that has these items available at comparatively reasonable prices. Otherwise I give it a miss.The restaurant food is way too spicy for me. But my biggest complaint is with them selling items (eg. canned garbanzos, bhel puri) which are well past their shelf life. Many items don’t even have “sell-by dates” on them.Also many items aren’t priced at all, it all depends on who’s behind the till that day.

Sometimes get lunch here when Im taking a break from meat, I like the combo plate you get plenty of food and its definately no frills. You can choose 2 curries with rice. The samosas are always really fresh and well spiced - I like the samosa chana (samosa topped with onions, spicy sauce, cilantro). Very affordable so good if your on a budget.

This a great little and authentic Indian sweets market and restaurant. It is cozy and quaint, but the food, snacks, and desserts are excellent. They have a quick food to go selection with affordable combos of premade food but you can also get food to order. Much of the food is authentic on the spicy side, perhaps Southern Indian influence at its best. We frequent the malai kofta and it is spicy even when ordered mild but a mango lassie or raita can help quell the burn. The malai kofta is hand made and authentic. The vindaloo is also excellent, also spicy. The tikka masala is pretty tame and good for those who cannot handle spice.The fish tikka.... it is one of the best I have ever had and I am not easy to impress. The perfectly fried pieces of fish and the spices make it one of a kind. It is one of the pricier items but would recommend. I was blown away.I also like their homemade desserts and all the snacks and confections they have for purchase. Soan papdi is one of my favorites and so are the cashew cookies. Would recommend. Ive tried their Masala Dosa, Samosa & Aloo Gobi (potato & cauliflower) dish with garlic naan. They really know how to use their spices and liked that it was not overly salty, yet still seasoned.The Aloo Gobi seemed just a bit oily, only a bit... but still very tasty. They can make it mild, medium, or spicy!Masala Dosa & samosa were both crisp with plenty of filing & sauce, and came with a really spicy samber style soup - I used to drizzle on my dosa. The sauces seemed fresh & homemade.Prices are great for the quality, quantity, and staff are always friendly. One did not understand me fully & not sure if that was a language thing, but he was still very nice & we figured it out.Its a really small establishment, but they do have 5 or 6 seating tables. Food is very cheap here. But you get what you paid for. When people are not lining up, flies landed on food and take off as they wished. Once I saw a fly landed on the curry tray and I told the storekeeper that there is a fly. The keeper was not bothered and stirred the curry several times and continue to pour me my chicken curry. I never touched that curry.The charge on the bill is also not honest. The price of 2 meat and 1 vege is $6.5 but when I pay, the owner said I should pay $9. He then changed his mind and asked for $7.Im a big fan of indian food but it saddens me to see a store serves good tasting indian food is infested with flies and has such dishonest act. i will not visit it again.

I use to go alot there.. adding comment after few months... this was my favorite one stop for food. I have tasted almost everything there in menu. But i liked most is Onion prontha, Samosa and Gulab-jamun . Staff is really friendly and uncle ji is know how to make customer happy. Food was always tasty and reasonable price. Very poor hospitality. I my self saw that some people were treated very nicely and some in the worst way. The food doesnt taste good at all. one day I ordered Masala Dosa. It arrived after 30 mins. Dosa was not done properly and I still can see the batter inside the Dosa when it was served to me. I told that the dosa was not fried or made properly (you might get stomach pain if you eat that), i requested to re fry my dosa. they said that Dosa is fried like that only . I said that I am a south indian and dosa is our frequently made food and i know how dosa is fried). They took it inside and came after 10 mins and said that No dosa any more as the batter is over. i was about to leave the place and I saw they took an order for dosa from an another customer!!DONOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL!!! BEAWARE !!!The groceries you find here are very very old stock and alomost 95% of the groceries are out dated!

We bought couple of extra items, they were expensive and the boy over chatged mixed bhujia and when I asked him he looked uncomfortable and changed the price. They change one vegetable everyday, everything else remain sameVegeterarian - Yellow Daal, Sambhar, Chana Masala,Depending on day you might get aloo baigan, aloo karela, aloo Gobi, okra (bhindi) fry,etc.Meat - chicken Tika masala, chicken curry, goat curry, chicken tandoorWe typically prefer chicken curry and day special vegetable with kadhi. We had dinner 2 days back. Although its a tiny place, we didnt mind to sit & eat. The behaviour of the people managing was very annoying. We stood in the line for long but he continously took orders from those who came later & standing at end of line. Very unprofessional behaviour. When we asked if ala carte curries can be made without onion garlic, he bluntly said no. We were forced to eat the ready curries which tasted just okay. Prices of other foods like milk cans, lassi, etc are too inflated.

I mistakenly found this tucked away in a strip mall and Im soooo happy I did! The coffee urn is always full of REAL chai tea (no sugar and spicy) and the aloo gobi, saag paneer, etc. are authentic and not americanized. Wrote this to counter Mr. Nics review where he said they had chicken curry, and wanted to say to all, have known about this place for twenty years they have NEVER, EVER had meat in the buffet (though it does have a few dishes with either yogurt or cheese or butter (dal) just ask which one if you are a vegan. (Hard at these prices to put meat in the dishes.)It is not dirty per se, but there is no table service and since they also ring up the groceries, they do not often clean up the tables, so you would have to wipe it up yourself. It is very, very simply furnished, with rickety chairs and and wobbly tables in the back of the store, so if you do not want to have any of their wonderful lassies to drink, and you eat there, they will give you a pitcher of water.
