First time visiting this restaurant, and surely won’t be the last.Great food, and good service.Party of five we had the chance to share several dishes, like the poke, chicken salad, Kona pork cabbage, and the Kirby short ribs. Every dish was extremely satisfying and delicious.And also the guava cake yummy!We will definitely be back to try different dishes.

The waitress was very kind, even though I was waiting in line at the cashier to order 2go, she took my order instead of having me wait. I waited my time for the food, as its made to order it took a few minutes but it did not matter because what I got in return made my day! Definitely EXCEPTIONAL HAWAIIAN EATS! highly recommend giving it a try if youre in the area.

I found this place when I was moving stuff into the storage place next door. The food was absolutely delicious, the highlight being the amazing poke. The Kahlua pork was also extremely good. Great rice and mac salad as well.

First time here and must say very welcoming & nice. The Furikake Chicken was by far the highlight of the meal... Ive never had chicken so perfectly done. The crushed Nori with the teriyaki marinate was perfectly executed. The portion size you get is well worth the price as well. This is a must go, but for me this has replaced all Hawaiian BBQ restaurants, Aunty Maile is my standard for quality 👌✨

Absolutely love these guys, totally authentic with made fresh to order recipes. love the Mini gift shop with super unique freeze dried candy classics like jolly ranchers and Skittles that were freeze-dried! We got lucky as they had a Hawaiian concert happening the Saturday we were there, totally added to the atmosphere. Parking is a bear, but luckily you can park on the street.

Aunty Mailes is a little food spot I come to occasionally after my afternoon classes. While its a smaller restaurant, it still has ample seating, both inside and outside, for a family to sit down for dinner. Starting, the friendly atmosphere and hospitality were above and beyond what I expected. The roast pork was delicious and tender, plus it was prepared in a timely manner. If you want to try a new Hawaiian place, youll have difficulty finding a better one.

As a first timer at this restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by the lively ambiance created by the live band outside on a Saturday morning. The music added to the already welcoming atmosphere, making our visit all the more enjoyable.I ordered the combo with furikake chicken and garlic shrimp with white rice, and while I should have chosen the pork fried rice, I was still thoroughly impressed with the crispy, flavorful chicken and buttery garlic shrimp. My boyfriend ordered the chicken katsu with pork fried rice, which was elevated by the bits of charsiu-like pork pieces in the fried rice. Both dishes were under $15 each, which is a great value considering the generous portions - we had enough for leftovers.To satisfy my sweet tooth, I also ordered the lilikoi cake slice, which I savored at home. The cake was moist and fluffy, with a subtle hint of passion fruit flavor. They also offer other flavors like Ube, which I cant wait to try.The staff were friendly and helpful, and we felt welcomed from start to finish. Love this place! Ate here on a Saturday afternoon after the lunch rush - crowded but plenty of seats.I opted for the mixed plate so I can try two entrees - kalua cabbage and chicken katsu with gravy on the side. The kalua was juicy and flavorful - although I wished it had a little smoke to it. Chicken katsu was classically executed local style, with a nice crispy batter.There was a guitar player singing Hawaiian tunes and I think the aunties were there just to grab lunch and jumped on to perform.Im definitely going back - next time leaving enough room for dessert.

🇺🇸 HAWAII USA (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - If you happen to come during a busy lunch rush at Aunty Mailes, when the weather is the right type of beautiful and sitting in the sun is still enjoyable, it might come as a surprise just how hopping the place can be. Just southwest of the busy 110/405 interchange in a fairly industrial section of town, the aloha you can enjoy when the sliding doors open also is a pleasant surprise.

I had the Kalbi Short Rib Plate which had a large serving of Kalbi Short Ribs with Mac Salad, White Rice and a Garden Salad. Short Ribs had a wonderful flavor and were very tender with a slight tug off the bone. Saturdays they have bands that play Hawaiian Music. I really like this place.

I had a lovely time here by myself. Rice, poke and salad was yummy and fresh and big portions.I let the server know that my avo poke was too salty and they were all so gracious and kind in dealing with it. I had just wanted to feed it back and was fine with keeping my portion but the manager insisted on making me a fresh one. Then the lovely chef came out too and said she had tasted it was too salty and checked if the new one was better.They were all so lovely and food was great and the second portion was even better than the first!Thank you. Will be back to try some of the other dishes.

I was shown this restaurant to my friend and it absolutely beats any other hawaiian restaurant Ive ever been to in California. The food, staff, and ambience is on point and really makes me feel like Im back home in Hilo. The best thing is that the restaurant doesnt feel gimmicky or fake, its authentic and stays true to the Hawaiian spirit you would find on the islands!

During my visit they had live music and it was very lively.The parking situation was not that great since theres only a small parking lot.My order was taken fast, and the staff was professional.One issue was with the wait time, but it was understandable since they were obviously busy, but I definitely waited over 20 mins. (I wasnt that worried about the wait, just letting other people know)The portions were fine, but compared to Hawaiian places closer to home, it was definitely not as generous.Price was as well; I paid twice as much for a smaller amount of food as compared to places I usually go to.For example, the poke which is $10+ was just a small container of fish mixed in a selected sauce and not a poke bowl which you can get somewhere with rice and additional toppings somewhere else for a couple bucks more.Overall, the food was good.If you want a place with nice atmosphere, it seems like a good place since there were a lot of families.

One of my favorite Hawaiian places in the area. Very generous amount of food for the price, and its pretty good. Parking right out in front. Service is friendly. Ive tried almost everything here, and everything is great.Tip: if you get something with gravy and its a little bland (for you), mix some soy sauce into it, itll make it pretty good, at least for me.

Hawaiian food will always have a place in my heart. Sometimes I just get an urgent craving for a combo plate with Short Ribs, Katsu, some Mac salad and wash it down with a Hawaiian Punch. The other day that craving hit me like a train, and I had heard that I needed to try Aunty Mailes. Im glad I gave into my craving because this hit the spot just right. Everything was right on, portions were great, and the staff was so friendly that I felt like Ohana. Theyre my new go to spot! Cant wait to go back and try some of the other things on the menu. I am a creature of habit, so I will want the same thing over and over but the other menu items look so good. I was staring at someones poke bowl and thinking I need to try that too. Food here is basically like youre in hawaii. The rice, amazingly, is cooked well! The spam musubi is not mushy like every other hawaiian restaurant in the south bay. The rice is actually chewy and normal. You would think thats easy but almost no restaurant knows how to cook basic rice any more. Garlic shrimp, furikake chicken, Mac salad, haupia pudding, and musubi were all great. If youre missing broke da mouth or any other legit hawaiian spots this is a pretty damn close place.

This place has the best poke and poke salads in LA. You can get it raw or seared. We also had the bread pudding... nothing but amazing things to say about that. I took pictures of the sweet stuff only because I inhaled the poke before I thought about a review. :P The owners and staff are wonderful and friendly. Excellent service. Highly recommend you pit stop here next time you’re in Torrance. That’s a pic of Bruce, the owner, holding some out of this world ice cream cake that I’ve had before, just didn’t indulge this time.

Ive been to Hawaii a few times and this is hands down the best Hawaiian Food I have ever had. I love eating here whenever I am in the area. The Kalbi Short Ribs are the best short ribs I have ever had. The service is always great. The sautéed veggies that I subbed for the mac salad was surprisingly good. The generous slice of Chantilly cake was fabulous.The service though, was brusque and rather unfriendly. Both girls working at the front barked instructions at the customers and never smiled. This was prior to the dinner rush. As of July 8, 2021 there was no indoor seating available. There are tables outside but no shade, so not comfortable if its hot.

The fried rice was tasty however I am not a super fan of char siu. The steak with onions was delicious. The steak was tender and juicy, lightly sweet. Very generous portions. Auntys food is a taste of home for Hawaii people.The venue looks new, clean and has such a local (Hawaii) vibe. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating if the inside is filled up. Local Hawaii music coming through.The staff are friendly and warm. Everyone seems so close to everyone who come in and have that local hospitality.The food is classic local Hawaii food like lau lau, teri beef, teri chicken, oxtail soup and POKE! We got the Hawaiian style poke, which tasted as authentic as home. The lau lau, teri beef and furikake chicken were all we cooked, flavorful and traditional tasting. Everything comes with two scoops rice and mac salad.Overall, one of the best places for Hawaii people who need a true feeling of home. If youre just a person who wants good food, they have amazing, authentic Hawaii grinds that are hard to find outside of Hawaii.Also Aunty Maile was at the register which was cool.

Absolutely loved this place. This is their new location. Used to be located on Crenshaw by El Camino Village. Food is delicious and portions are more than generous. I had the mix plate with chicken katsu and beef teriyaki. Mix plate came with rice and macaroni salad. They have outdoor seating for thise who wish to dine at their location. Friendly service too. I came here after looking for hawaiin dishes and gotta say they charge 3.99 service fee if you use a card which is illegal to me to charge me your buisness fees but thats more than what they charge this buisness for the terminal. Food is bland is no seasoning. I ordered garlic shrimp and teriyaki chicken, didnt taste the garlic and the teriyaki sauce they barely put on the meat. Meats seem fresh tho just lacking flavors and everything else. Macaroni salad is good actually. If this place put some flavors on there food and garlic on the shrimp then maybe I would come again but definitely nothing like Hawaii, as the food doesnt hit close to me. Shrimp does have shell on still if anyone was wondering and no I would not recommend this place if you looking for that aloha taste . Definitely bring cash if you dont want to pay that ridiculous card fee, imma call Visa amd let them know about the fees

Huge portions but not worth it. We had chicken furikake, chicken Katsu and chicken soyu. Soyu was blah, I mean its just soyu soy sauce and chicken. The chicken katsu was so flavorless! Kalbi meat had a funny smell like it was old and this may be a personal thing, but the chashu fried rice was just rice, shoyu, green onions, and chashu. I wasn’t able to get my food because I saw that this place was not enforcing covid rules. Immediately saw an employee without a mask and then had another worker yell at me because I was standing an inch away from the social distancing green dot on the ground. This place is awesome. We were there on a Saturday which is there beef stew day absolutely fantastic. We rode our motorcycles all the way from Las Vegas to eat at this place and we are going to do it again

Great food. But the girl that is at the cashier and taken phone orders has a very bad attitude. And, is not very friendly at all. Someone should call it to her attention. It makes the business look bad. Because she had an attitude with us.

There is only outdoor seating. Not many tables to sit. You have to seat yourself. No one puts your name on a list to wait for a table. Food was not that great. I wont be returning.

I would give it no stars but it wouldn’t let me. Poor customer service that they don’t answer the phones 30 minutes before they close. I guess leaving to go home at 8pm when they close is more important than servicing the customer. I guess this place is making a lot of money that they don’t care if they turn away customers and making a sale. Not going here again and I don’t recommend this place if you’re hungry!

We live near their first location across from El Camino college. The new place on Normandie has the same AMAZING food and customer service. This location is open on Sunday also. So if youre craving Loco Moco on a Sunday morning they are here to take care of you!!!

Big portions! Beef stew was on the salty side. Kalbi slightly undercooked but good marinade. Loco Moco had 3 scoops rice and egg so come hungry. Poke was ono.

The food is fresh and tastes amazing BUT I didn’t appreciate the attitude that the cashier gave us, that’s why I’m not rating it a 5 she was in a bad mood she was not friendly at all when I arrived at the register I said hello and she didn’t even respond all she raid was whenever you are ready as if she was hurrying us up
