The atmosphere was great. Our server was attentive. Just wish the food had a bit more flavor. Some authentic spices like cumin and oregano would have helped. I asked for the spiciest salsa and it tasted like tomato sauce no heat at all. You can get a taste of habanero but it was mild. If youre a fan of taco bell youll probably like the food here, but if youre looking for flavor and authentic Mexican food your local taco shop probably has more flavor and has actual hot salsa. 🔥

My family and I came in for my sons birthday, and we were seated and forgotten. Were Mexican American, and I felt we were treated differently because of it, 2 white girls showed up after us and were seated, brought out chips, and orders were taken right away. And so we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere.

My mother and I were seated right away. We came in around 9am. Our server was polite and attentive. She was patient with us we couldnt decide what to order. We ended up getting the carne asada skillet. It was delicious! She ordered corn tortillas and didnt like them. She said they seemed to have been heated in the microwave. I ordered the biscuits and gravy which were cold. So I didnt enjoy it. The place was kept clean. Very nicely decorated. Prices are reasonable. Good portions. Will definitely return.

The food was awful. Very small portions for the price. Drinks were expensive $7 bottles of domestic beer. The waiter was not attentive and we had to call him over everytime we needed service. Dont waste your money. Atmosphere is that of a breakfast place which is what it is so its fine.

Really good food. My sausage skillet came out sizzling and steamy on a hot skillet makes you want to take picture. The service was exceptional with a cozy atmosphere and very clean. The price made it that much better, I recommend you give them a try.

Great food, very impressive service. Family owned and operated and, you can tell by the quality. Our server Elena, was very kind and thoughtful. When filling our ice tea, she ask, would you like more ice, or just tea? No one asks that, she was so considerate it was refreshing. We were so impressed, we left her 50%. The flavors and seasonings were spot on. I recommend the fajitas, you will love them.

Got Chilaquiles and Flan. I harshly judge Mexican food, so Im sorry if this place sounds bad lol. First off, their beans taste like canned beans and their rice doesnt taste like anything! The Chilaquiles were decent. Some crispy, some soggy just how I like them. Their asada was very well-seasoned 👍 their green salsa tasted like 90% limon :( definitely needs a rework. Flan was surprisingly good. Spent about $50 for two entrees with drinks and a dessert. Save your money folks, cook at home 😉

We arrived around 12:40 PM. First time, and wanting to try their food. Place was 10% full, and it felt somewhat abandoned to its own faith. Waitress was nice and professional, and the following items were ordered:Waffle Breakfast, $5.99. One egg, half waffle, and bacon. Decent for our lovely senior, but lo and behold! The bacon besides being over cooked, had also more salt than what I considered possible. 3 Stars.2 Albóndiga Soups, at $7.99 each. Consisted of a very light broth, a little oily, with no special taste, besides being edible. Potatoes previously frozen turned into mush, truly dislikable. Two slices of tomato floating with no apparent plan. 3 Meatballs Mexican style with average flavor. Not a memorable dish, and one best not to repeat. 3 Stars.One Beef Tamale, $3.49. Soft, Bulky, stuffed with shredded beef, not particularly good, nice sauce, and cold in the center. Edible. 3 Stars.Chips were nice. Salsa very nice! Came with harsh brown, very agreeable, and 1 english muffin (flat, unremarkable-where is Thomas English Muffin when you need one?).2 of above at $12.99? each. Really nice overall. 4 Stars. Belgian Waffle (1) with two plump sausages, scrambled eggs and dedicated fixings. That one for Big Mama, a senior with a voracious appetite, never ending if allowed to continue. Great food and awesome service! It was empty when we were there on a Saturday around 5pm. Maybe they should drop the breakfast part in thier name to get more customers. We almost didnt come thinking they only did breakfast. I ordered the Fajitas. Came out steaming hot and full of flavor! I always finish my plate but this time I couldnt. So dont meet me there, beat me there! PS micheladas are amazing!

Nice place. We tried the vegetable scrambled eggs with home potatoes and toast, chorizo scrambled eggs with tortillas, scrambled eggs with sausage, pancakes and drinks. Thought the serving portions were smaller than expected and coffee refills were not refilled. It was Mothers Day so that might have been the reason for small portions per servings and lack of drink refills.

We were seated right away, but we did wait quite sometime to place our order, and a wait to get our food. We got chilequiles with Carne asada, unfortunately it had no flavor the egg was on the side which is unusual for this entree. I got waffles and they were more brownish black on the edges with a very disgusting (chemical like )taste. This was our first and our last time at this place unfortunately. I had high hopes with the reviews. But their are taste buds everything.

The food is delicious! Being hispanic I know real Mexican food when I eat it and this is the place to go to. During the week is nice and quiet dining in and on weekends its still not too loud either. The inside has a very intimate setting and the bathrooms are clean and maintained as well. The service is good not great, depends on your server. The first time I went, the server was outstanding. The second time I went, different server so the service was good, but Im pretty sure its because he is new. Will change my rating when I go back if the service gets better.

Staff are always amazing. The prices are reasonable. The restaurant was clean as were the bathrooms. The reason for only 4 stars was the quality of the food. It wasnt terrible by any means, but the quality definitely needs a little work (flautas were drowning in grease, salad lettuce was wilted and brown).

The quality of the good and service is really good. Talk about the food selection on the menu. Thry also bring out chips and salsa. The salsa is really good. Ive I had a couple of things and they do not disappoint at all. Ive been here with a small group and a large party and they are awesome at getting us a table. I hate to leave a review. Because then people find out how good this place is. And then itll become hard to get into.Everything weve had here has been great. From the chili Verde breakfast to the French toast to the tacos. Cant eat enough.First off love the family atmosphere. They all know my boys (which are 2&6 by name). Every time we go in they treat us like we own the joint. On top of what I like to drink. What my boys eat. Down to the no eggs with bacon and sausage with his pancakes. Im usually not this impressed. Wow worst experience ever. The service was horrible. When we got there we got seated fairly quickly. The waitress didnt offer drinks until another 15 minutes of us sitting down. It wasnt busy and we only saw her 3 times. When she asked for drinks, when she brought our drinks and when we have to flag her down to get the check. We order an easy order omelet, egg and a kids eggs and pancakes. It took 40 minutes for the order to come and she didnt even bring it to us it was another waitress who did. The food was super bland no flavor at all. I really had high expectations for this place. But I will not be recommending it to anyone.

This is the first time i’ve been to this location, but my family has been here many times before. Sadly this will be the last time, we had to wait an hour and a half after ordering our food to get it. I can understand if the establishment is busy or has a lot of large parties but this wasn’t the case when we went. There are many times that this place seemed like another dying entity, but I have left here always satisfied with the great tasting food.Not once have I been disappointed. Ive had breakfast burritos, dinner burritos, enchiladas, fish tacos, street tacos [taco Tuesdays], trio plate (beef, chicken, shrimp), etc. All have come well cooked, tasty, and ready to eat.There is sometimes a small wait time for food to arrive, but it is well worth the wait.

I went here because it was open and Ihop wasnt. I do have to say I kind of see what theyre going for here. And in a lot of ways, I like it. The food though when I went was kind of salty. A lot of the staff was overly friendly and very nice. Some of the staff though werent very particular about what was on their menu and some didnt know how to use there cash register to ring up a bill.I wont fault them for any of these. Ill probably go there again. But my wife wasnt impressed and she is a very hard sell.They were nice and apologetic even though she basically told them one of their dishes tasted like they poured the whole thing of salt in it.Could be just because it was a Sunday and they were at full capacity. Who knows family restaurants?It is a very nice restaurant for Menifee.

It is a clean place and the waiters are nice that is the reason for the 2 stars. The food is not that tasty. The chicken enchiladas have way too much cheese, inside and out and it taste not fresh. The refried beans are totally dried and tasteless as their green salsa. Their potatoes are very plain. Overall no taste of Mexican at all. Horrible attitude.. Tried to check in and I asked about cross contamination since I have a family that has severe anaphylaxis to seafood. They cook EVERYTHING on the same grill and they only clean it once every a shift. According to her they dont cook seafood a lot so it should be okay..Really???!!! I went here in mid 2015 because I was hoping to find a good Mexican restaurant near my home. When I spoke with the employees they were extremely helpful, and they told me that it was a family business and that mom was the cook...so I ofcourse jumped at the chance to enjoy some down home Mexican food, I ordered like 5 or 6 different main courses to mix and share with my family and what we found was that the food was terrible. We literally only took a few bites of every plate and threw it a way (it was take out). Found this place, saw the reviews, and gave it a try. Wife ordered carne asada fries and they were a bit of a mixed bag. The toppings were fantastic, however there was not enough for the fries which was especially inconvenient given the fries were terrible. I ordered the chorizo burrito and was disappointed entirely. The potatoes inside were delicious, but the meat tasted bitter and mushy like it came out of a can. Nice staff and very clean restrooms. 1 star because I left hungry.

The staff was absolutely helpful and even though they were busy they were able to seat us quickly. Waitress always checked up to see how things were going and everything was ok. Now the bad would sadly have to be the food and pricing. If you are going to be having expensive food at the very least make the food decent. Now I see a lot of you giving this place 5 stars but I just dont taste it. Ive tried several food items consisting of breakfast and lunch and all were unpleasant. There was no flavor at all I had to resort to tapitio due to the salsa being very bland. If you want to spend money on an overpriced meal that is basic and bland come here but if you have great taste in food and want to get what you pay for I highly suggest going somewhere else.

Service was very good but the food taste horrible..... salsa tasted like tomato paste, I shared a mocajete with my husband and usually anywhere you order the large one food is pouring out of it..... but when this arrived to the table my husband and I thought they were going to come back and put the meats and cheese in because it was nothing but a sauce that also just tasted like paste. We had to fish for the small pieces of meat and chicken. Order 2 expensive tacos for my son that he only took one bite out of and did not want anymore of it..... I was stunned he loves tacos. The enchiladas were yummy and my eggs were perfectly cooked to order (over medium). I had requested frijoles de la olla instead of the refried beans but ended up with the refried beans. Got take out here today for dinner. Was really hoping for an amazing new spot but nope our hopes were dashed upon rocks like an ocean wave. First the beans were so stale they stayed in a giant hard ball when they fell out of the container. I mean it was bad you could probably knock someone out if you threw it at them. Burritos were tiny for the humongous price. The meat in the burrito was as dry as the sonoran desert but while chewing on it like a cow chewing on its cud it had amazing seasoning. The cheese in the chile relleno was chunky like a giant cheese curd. The enchiladas were dry as well. We also never got the side for the kids meal. We hate giving a review like this during Covid because times are tough. But times are tough for all and when we spent as much as we did we expect much better than last weeks food reheated. The guy was really nice, the rice was ok, and the seasoning of the meat was good so they get an extra star. If you eat here make sure to have lots of water on hand to get the food down and youll be good.

Been meaning to stop by for some time now. Went on a Sunday about 1230. Got seated immediately, very friendly waiter and staff. They also had NBA playoffs on the TV. Went there three times. The first time was good, despite the fact that they put rice and or beans in their burritos. Usually I dont eat at places that do this, fillers are not my thing.The second time we went, it took forever for the food to come. When it did, it was cold. Of course, our tortillas were forgotten. The service was pretty bad. The food did not taste the same. It was bland and cold. Ok, we thought, maybe someone filled in for someone else.We gave it a third try. The beans were tasteless. Rice came cold and hard. The Carne asada was so tough, I considered taking it home to repair a couple of holes in my wetsuit. And the service was terrible. We tried to be fair every time we went, and left sizeable tips. After all, we are working people too and overlook bad service because, just maybe the wait person was having a bad day or had bad news.Anyway, we will not continue to pay for cold food, forgotten tortillas, bad service, bad cooking more than three times. For a minute, we thought we finally had a good Mexican place to eat in Menifee. No dice.

First of all the service was great and over all a clean restaurant. Food: I ate chilaquiles with potatoes on the side and a chicken tortilla soup. Personally the tortilla cuts were a bit to large it is hard to get a good bite on it. The sauce of the chilaquiles needed a bit more salt, you could taste the tomatoes acidity amd the slight touch of chili which is great, just a bit more salt. The potatoes on the other hand were very dry and extremely salty. The egg on top of the chilaquiles were, i have to say, cooked to perfection. The soup: Salted correctly, however it lacked that amazing taste you get when you try a chicken tortilla soup, that warmth you get of coziness in a winter night. Overall amazing staff. Thanks.
