I have never given a 2 Star rating.The menu and Chef work were 5 Star.The employee Maria was rude and rushed, the only server to handle incoming tables AND take out during lunch hour. I gave her several opportunities to connect or be kind in some way, even for a swift second…didn’t happen.I will enjoy other excellent Indian Restaurants in the area. They just lost a new customer.

Absolutely delicious curries! This place is a master of making masterful spice combinations that will leave you wanting more. Considering there is a lack of Indian food on the coast, this place is definitely worth the drive.

The food was delicious. We ordered chicken tikka masala and chicken vindaloo. They tasted very similar whereas in other places I taste more of a difference with the sauces. I think more yogurt could have been used. Very friendly and polite staff with prompt service. There were a lot of flies so I would recommend investing in some tools or equipment that repels or Zappos the flies. Other than that a great option added to our food options in our city 😊

Husband and I were just riding around town with our Segway scooters and we found this restaurant. They had plenty of outdoor seating, followed covid protocols, excellent customer service, and delicious array of Indian cuisine!! Our waiter, Obie had a cute British accent and was so friendly. They are apparently very popular even during these tough times. While we were there, we observed so many people drive-up to get their curbside pickup. We will definitely come back!!

Casual Indian dishes with friendly staff and excellent cooks. Whether you like it spicy or as mild as possible, everyone will find something to love here. For vegetarians, the Mail Kofta is really good. I also highly recommend the Murg Kali Mirch (hope I spelled it right). The lunch specials are a great deal as well.

This is our second time here. We brought some friends that have lots of Indian food knowledge from England and we all really enjoyed all the different flavors. We spend a couple of hours there chit chatting over some tasty wine.

Food was very good. My first time having indian cuisine. I ordered the chicken jaz(something) at a level 5 and man, it still had some kick. We also ordered the curried lamb at a level 5 and it too had some kick. Enough to make your nose run a bit. The portions are large. The chicken was tender and very flavorful. The lentil soup was an unexpected surprise. The cilantro gave so much flavor. I wish i could pronounce or spell some of the items that we got but sorry i cant. The service was great. We went around noon on a weekday. One man took us to the table. When he went to get our drinks, another came and asked if we were ready to order. Then another waiter brought us the bread. There was some major team work going on, someone was always at the table checking in. We didnt wait a minute for anything.

Im was expecting a little more seasoning and spice. I got the coconut chicken curry, and it was so plain it had no flavor. I had to add salt and pepper to it. I was visiting this restaurant for the first time because Im on vacation and I love chicken curry. I thought it would be a good place to try curry and more. I was so very disappointed the food I ordered coconut chicken curry, with chicken wings appetizer. I make better wings and chicken curry than this place.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. Service was fast and friendly. We started with an order of the samosas that were served with two delicious sauces. For dinner we ordered the potato and cauliflower curry and an eggplant curry with rice and lentils on the side. Both delicious. The only disappointment was the garlic naan, it was overcooked and the garlic and basil was dried, not fresh. Well definitely be back.

Short version: great food, not-so-great service. If I lived closer I might return but only for carry-outThe Chicken Awadi Korma is delicious. I wish they were a little more flexible about substitutions: I didnt want any rice or veggies, and only asked for an extra naan instead of those. The server said they couldnt do that. They left off the rice as requested, still put the veggies on (fine, I didnt eat it, but too bad about the waste) and I had to pay $4 for an extra naan. Honestly the naan is bigger than I expected so I ended up taking the other one home, but still I feel like I didnt get the full value for what I paidWhat bothers me more is how the server treated me around the end of my meal. Just before paying, I asked for a soda refill in a to-go cup, and he said he would get that. (Reasonable, I think, as that would have been my first and only refill!) But he didnt bring it. He only came to pick up the little credit card machine after I was done paying, and then I didnt exist anymore. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands before leaving, and he and the other server were at the back table on their phones. He didnt even look at me! Like I said, he got the payment so I didnt exist anymore

The food was so so…the chicken masala was really watery and not thick. The service was extremely slow and took 15 minutes just for another piece of naan bread. I recommend Flavor of Himalaya in San Marcos. Faster service and the quality of the food is just better overall and they give you 3-4 pieces of naan bread instead of one. The restaurant is actually owned by people who are Indian and know how to cook the food and know the culture.

By far the best Indian restaurant I have been to in San Diego. It’s a clean and quiet place unlike most Indian restaurants. Food is very good, at the right spice levels still keeping the authentic taste. Good size portions fairly priced. Staffs are friendly and welcoming. My go to place for a comfortable relaxed dinner.

Been there today at 2:30pm with family and was told by a lady waiter only takeouts and dining was closed. And the other waiter ran over and switched off the fans. But why the Google and Yelp time is misleading people to drive all the way? Seriously please update your correct business hours or train your staff not to close the dining 30 minutes prior. Or mention some where on the Google or Yelp or at your website that you guys won’t accept dinning for the last 30 mins before closing time.

I was there recently after moving away for 2 years, ordered and forgot to ask for no cilantro and the staff came and asked if I wanted no cilantro. This was our first time eating here or eating out in this area. Ordering to go was not the best decision. By the time we got home our calamari was rubbery, my lamb was tough and overcooked, the rice was cold ( as if had been sitting waiting to be ordered). Thankfully they remade a new dish for me. Coming from a different area, I expected so much better from this location. Hopefully I just caught them on a rough night. But judging by the other reviews, maybe not.

Would recommend splitting the curry with someone because it’s a lot but so good. That being said, both of our waiters where very helpful and made sure of all our needs were met. I have become a regular here, I eat about once a week for lunch. I have yet to have something I did not enjoy. Simple interior, not all overdone with Indian trinkets but still feels ethnic and clean. The servers are all very nice and explain the menu well. Food is really good though not always perfect it is never bad.

Ive tried 3 dishes here, at this point. Service is fast. Food is good. Prices are affordable. Portions are healthy. Spice levels are 1-10 and 10 is pretty hot. Ive always driven past this place for years as I did my shopping in Sprouts. Curry just sounded like it would be too spicy, in heat and flavor. Yesterday I went for the first time with my boyfriend and I was blown away. The place is very clean, atmosphere chill and modern with smooth jazz playing in the background, staff friendly and helpful, and most important the food is amazing. Forgive me that I cant remember the names of the dishes, we both ordered vegetarian Curries. I love lentils so I got the black lentils and my boyfriend got the baby eggplant. Both dishes were sizable portions and came with two sides. I will definitely be coming back whenever Im in the area.

Weve been going here for some time and never have been disappointed! On a fluke one night, I had a hankering for salmon. Ive never ordered salmon from an Indian restaurant but I had to try it...OMG, the most succulent salmon Ive ever had in my life. Now, Im addicted! Its such great tasting food and fast courteous service. They do have little gnats sometimes, which are mildly annoying. But Ill battle a gnat any day for that delicious salmon!!! PS. I dont know how anyone could call the restaurant pricey. I feel just the opposite. Especially with my salmon dinner. Each time I order it, I have more than enough to have a full second meal. The person who works at the register was a middle age man who was also taking our order. I think he was very rude, no smile at all while taking an order and speaking in a tone that you will not have a good vibe for him or the place. Any way food order was taken and it came within 10 minutes so I can tell you that food wasn’t made to order. Ok food just because a negative vibration he gave us. Didn’t enjoyed that night and we were out in less than 40 minutes . If he is working in the restaurant business he should learn some hospitality.

Went to restaurant based on a recommendation. Food was good but service was horrible. Wanted to change to a side said I would pay extra refused to change but prefers food to go to waste. Each time has to ask to get anything. Asked for plates, server brought us only 1 plate when I asked for a second one, she gave the plate on which they brought the food on. I told her to change she first said no we serve the same plate on which they just stacked the bowls on which were sitting on the counters. Told her that is not higenic or clean had to insist on getting another plate. She said we do this all the time. Seriously? Food tasted good, hats off.

We have been to many Indian restaurants and this by far the best. It is very clean, efficiently run and the food is out of this world. There are large glass windows to watch the kitchen prepare your meal. The curry dishes are reasonably priced (vegetarian $13-15) and come with your choice of two sides including rice, naan, dahl, green salad, or cucumbers in yogurt. I wished we had found this restaurant earlier in our trip. We ate here the last 2 nights.

5 star food. This is our go-to for India Cuisine. Eaten inside once pleasant, attentive wait staff. Immaculately clean kitchen - you can see the entire process along two glass partitions. Service is worse. Especially, the old guy stand in cashier. We came around 1pm. The restaurant is not busy but no one come to order. We wait around 20 minute to take our order. Food comes fast. My friend is still eating and cashier- the old guy come to ask pay. NOT PROFESSIONAL.We ask the bill, he said we get the bill after paying. So ridiculous!!! I ordered my food through the uber eats app, getting a chicken Tikka Masala with garlic Naan on the side. I recieve it and get no extra Naan at all or garlic Naan that came with it. It was also supposed to come with a side which never happened. After I called them to try and get a refund for something I didnt get, they told me to call uber eats and that was it. I would rate 0 stars if I could and highly recommend not to eat there.

Hubs and I routinely order the Coconut Chicken Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Curry, Mango Lassi, naan, jasmine rice, curried potatoes... every dish I have tried is just so flavorful and hits the spot every time!Atmosphere is relaxed and quaint, if youre looking for a cute spot to eat some yummy comfort food or even if you want something tasty to take back to the house, I definitely encourage you to try this place out! :)

One of the worst Indian restaurants I have ever encountered, couple of things first the manager/owner was extremely rude, we came in about a hour before closing and we were a group of 6 adults. Instead of welcoming us he stated in a rude tone kitchen will be closing in a half hour you need to hurry up and order, now if he had said it politely that would have made all the difference, the food was mediocre and the prices are high, secondly when I pointed out a 3 inch roach in the corner the waiter shrugged and picked it up and threw it I dont know where, hopefully he washed his hands. Folks there are plenty of choices in the area avoid this one like the plague literally.

I like that you can see the kitchen from the dining room. The chicken, cooked in a Tandori oven was perfectly cooked, and had a delicious texture. Soups were very tasty, and the sauces on our entries really brought them to life. The Nan bread was very good and had a good crispness to it. This was one of the better Indian meals I have had in a while, and would highly recommend it.

Whats good: the food.Bad: pretty much everything else. If you go with a larger group make sure its at least 6 ppl so u can sit at the larger table in front. I went with 5 adults and 1 child total, they asked us to move to the back corner of the restaurant in a small booth where we sat uncomfortable with no room on table because of the dishes. And the larger more comfortable table they asked us to leave....not occupied the entire time we were there.

Been here at least 10 times in the past 3 years. Food is fantastic! Visited with my family last night and will never ever return. I dont know how one man can completely ruin an experience to warrant us from never returning. The other reviewers are right about the owner. In the past he would just stand in the front and mind his own business and greet the customers. Last night he did exactly what the other reviewers were complaining about. He hovered over our table trying to hurry us up. Instead of a waiter assisting us he decided to take care of our table and the other tables. He came to our table many times if we were ready to order drinks, apps and dinner. We said we needed a few minutes please. Then he said well you need to order dinner because our kitchen is closing at 7:40pm and said it very rudely. My mom ordered garlic naan and he gave us plain naan. He proceeded to argue with my mom insisting she ordered the plain. Instead of making it right and getting us a garlic naan, he walked away. Because the bussers were so kind I gave a 20% tip but will never ever return again. In all my years of dining experiences I have never been continuously treated this rudely. He was doing the same thing to the table next to us. I dont know what happened to this establishment, its sad to see it drop from my list.

I honestly dont think Ive ever encountered someone so rude and unprofessional in a restaurant. The guy at counter( seemed like the owner) just ignored me or mumbled at me when I asked him for an order without a care in the world for customer service. Oh yeah probably because I wasnt a customer I was just a driver picking up food. I told him I felt like he ignored me and he just treated me even worse after that instead of making the situation better. I got upset and of course because Im not technically a customer he kicked me out and told me to wait outside. I said it was cold and it was not my job to be waiting outside for the order. As I was leaving he told me to leave a number as he insisted on kicking me out like what the hell? They only allowed 3 credit cards to be changed even though we had almost 15 people in our group. Then, when we asked them to split the check between our two tables, they did not properly split the dishes ordered per table. So one tables bill was twice as high as the other.So in the end, even though there werent any problems with the food, I wouldnt recommend it just because paying was such a hassle.Seriously, its 2015. The best Indian food anywhere. My wife and I lived in England for a number of years and Germany for a few more where excellent, authentic, Indian food is readily available, Curry & More is the best! If it were in the center of London, competing with the so-called Best Indian Restaurants in the World, we would choose Curry & More every time. This place is our favorite restaurant in the US and we get take-out as often as we dine in. You will not be disappointed. I usually get the Chicken Korma (Yeah, I know - not very adventurous) and my wife gets the Bhuna Gosht (Sp?). We have tried other dishes as well but keep coming back to our favorites. The only dings I give it is for the relatively young and somewhat unrefined personalities of the wait staff but the husband and wife combo that run the place are excellent in every regard. Their staff will get there in time. The Decor is high end, the lighting is right, the only ding there is that it isnt very Indian. Its more Elephant Bar but you have to leave room for improvement somewhere and I wasnt going to take anything away from the amazing food. FYI- The portions are big and it is just as good reheated the next day for lunch!

Place is relatively small. Staff are fast but not so attentive. Not so common to have a see through Kitchen, this shows their confidence.At least for me this place is less spice levels than other Indian places.My favorite food is Navaratna Kurma, this was delicious and perfect with Chapathis. Lamb Ronganjosh is another delicacy here, the lamb is coocked to perfection, very tasty and flavorful.There stuffed Nans are really good, soft and fluffy.They have Kingfisher Beer, do try. One of the best tasting Indian Restaurants has one of the worst attitude owner.This is one restaurant that can go places.. provided, the owner / manager has some decency to treat Indian Guests. Looks like he/they dont want Indians to dine in.At multiple occassions, we were told the restaurant is close to dine in or take out even though there were American guests still entering the restaurant and eating in. We were told that they wouldnt split checks on 2 or more cards and the table next to us with american guests had the check split in 5 credit cards. Also, the funniest part was that we were given the check even before the order came to our table... and when we informed, we were given a death look by the owner.Ofcourse this is only the owners of the restaurant.... The waiters (specially the one with the tatoo on the neck) are very friendly and try to accomodate everyone. There might be a reason why managers should be managers and waiters should be waiters.Recommendation: You shouldnt miss this tasty Indian food... but if the color of your skin is brown - Takeout is the only option.

The only saving grace is somewhat friendly staff and green salad/raita!Went with family first time and ordered a few different veggie items: tomato soup, coconut soup, couple of paneer dishes, naan, paratha, rice, salad, raita. The soups were too salty, the paratha was uncooked. Upon complaints they brought the manager - lousy guy. Basic rule: anytime a customer is complaining you get to your most humble nature. He was defending that it was not uncooked and said this is how we prepare. Ugh! So we said substitute with naan and roti. The roti was half burnt and the way the manager served it - just dropping it on the table from beyond another table - as if we had personally slapped him. Never a word of sorry. The soups were returned and were fully charged. The paneer items were oily, not so fresh paneer, and bitter in taste because of too old or too much kasuri methi.
