Very decent Mediterranean place. All employees are very friendly and ask you order at reception, but tell you to pay when you leave. Everything was fresh. Falafel can be improved, felt little bit raw and burnt at the same time. Lentil soup is highly recommended. Chicken Shawarma wrap was perfect!

Tried this place for the first time on Valentines and it was terrific. The young men working were very helpful and friendly. The lamb was tender and spiced just right with good sized portions. The salad was fresh enough for two and the grape leaves were also excellent. We will be back!

I had the gyro shawarma and baklava. It was very good and for a good price. Service did a good job and were nice, especially the cashier at the time I went. Their military discount is a baklava which was crazy good, so I’m giving it a solid 4.5, but rounded to 5.

I came here right at opening. The staff was very nice. We ordered alot of food about for 7 people and they were able to make it quickly and it was very good. the place was so clean. The bathroom about the cleanest Ive seen anywhere. It also had some pretty nice outdoor seating.

Amazing. Just so good.I ordered the beef schwarma. It was very flavorful and the sauces delicious. I added the hot sauce and it was just amazing.I also ordered the falafel appetizer. It was good.I also tried the hummus with a pita. Their hummus is so good. Very good flavor. I wanted more after I was done. We didnt realize you go up and place your own order, get it, seat yourself, then pay afterwards. Once we got over the awkwardness of getting the food it was comfortable. The food was delicious and plentiful. The outside patio was warm on a cold day. We also liked the hot tea we could easily get. Will return.

First time here for lunch yesterday. Was pleased to see the healthy kids menu with lamb or chicken gyro meat, pitas, saffron rice, and humus. Thank you for rewriting the script on the standard kids meal. My gyro sandwich had abundant supply of lamb gyro meat. Ate half and wrapped the other for dinner. Veggies were very fresh and crisp. Lunch was served within 4 minutes of ordering. Highly recommend as a healthy alternative to fast food. The turn around time was very similar. Prices were very reasonable for the entree sizes. Keep up the great work. Cant wait to visit again.

I had already read in the reviews that the service was great, but even that didn’t prepare me. The guys working today (sorry I don’t know your names) were incredibly kind, friendly, and personable. Id wanted to show my parents shawarma for years, and they loved it as much as I did (which is a big complement, as my dad is on what I call an American-only diet). Excellent food, excellent staff, excellent restaurant. Love itGyro was awesome, baklava was awesome, and you will get plenty of food.

Ive been to the Santa Maria Jaffa Café 3 times and each visit was very good. I have tried their beef kabobs, chicken shawarma and beef shawarma plates (which includes rice, pita bread and hummus). My personal favorite was the beef shawarma however I would happily reorder any of those dishes. Also tried their stuffed grape leaves, very flavorful appetizer (order to go and enjoy at home with a glass of wine 👍).The service has been good each time and the prices are extremely reasonable. I absolutely would recommend Jaffa Café to others. I also heard they have a location in Arroyo Grande.

Yes staff is friendly but its a restaurant so that being said Wondering where the old chef is food is kinda bland and cold needs more seasoning on proteins and at times raw YIKES!!!! Past had old orders not taken down properly wasnt to big of a deal but could have been troubling if other protein were used instead. Side salad old and bad and the raw peppers when it used to be grilled peppers used to love this place sad to see it losing its wow factor I guess its true not all places stay good forever

Just as good as their other locations. I love their gyros. So much yummy meat in a warm pita. My child loves their 3 cheese pita pizza. Establishment is always clean, staff really cares, and you can tell it is family owned and run. Never had a bad experience. One time they made a mistake and was happy to correct it right away and let us keep the mistake. We are loyal to Jaffas because they always treat us well.

I did not care for this food at all. They messed up on my meal and instead of chunks of meat I got slivers, but was told, Next time it will look different. If you make a mistake then you take the loss not the customer. There was no flavor to the food and who charges for hummus and garlic sauce? Most meals charge after the first one. The baklava was tasty. The staff is very nice. It was my first and last time there.

My wife, mother in law, and I stopped in here one day for lunch. My mother and law and I had the classic lamb gyro and it was delicious! My wife had the falafel gyro and liked it. But something that took us all by surprise was the hummus. Generally most hummus are run of the mill, but this hummus was great in my opinion. But as usual you always need more pita bread.

Jaffa Cafe has consistently good Greek/mediterranean food. The first time I went there it was a little confusing, as you PLACE your order, then wait for your name to be called. Then enjoy your meal. Ive had both JC in SLO & up in AG, so this is the fourth one top open, and it doesnt disappoint. I ordered more than usual for some reason, and the kebabs were awesome. I probably had more than I should do eat but being a business trip, you use as much of your allowance as you can. I had take out that I had back in my hotel, so it was a lot. Most times, I would make the trip up to AG from Santa Maria since I wasnt in the mood for BBQ, but now theres one in the neighborhood!

We use to drive to San Luis Obispo to eat at Jaffas, then heard there was one in Arroyo Grande so went there and now there is one to eat here at home in Santa Maria. It is just as good as the others so glad they are expanding and keeping their standards. Food is good. Only comment is that we were there for dinner one night about 30 minutes before closing. The girl was already putting chairs on top of the tables all around us as we ate. We felt she was trying to rush us out of there. She was closing the place up and there was still 30 minutes to go before closing on a Saturday night. She wasnt customer friendly that night.

I find myself meandering back to this wonderful restaurant for lunch and dinner and even take out. Yes I can stay and eat, but when I am in the mood for something different and even exotic after work ... This is where I go. The people who work there are very nice but what I notice most is the energy of the place is positive and inviting. ... I like the smell of spices in the air. I am glad to see that Santa Maria is expanding in diversity of many different kinds of authentic places to eat. Jaffa Café is pretty much the best Mediterranean food you can get outside of the Mediterranean itself. In my less-than-professional opinion, the quality of food at the Santa Maria location is not quite as good as the San Luis Obispo location, but it is still fantastic.

Im so glad Jaffas has opened up in Santa Maria. I used to drive to SLO or AG and now we have it here in town! Fantastic Mediterranean food at good prices in a pleasant atmosphere. I love the kebab and shawarma plates. They also have some really good vegetarian options. In my opinion this is now one of the top lunch spots in town!

I typically order the shawarma plate here. The food is good and hot. Only thing i dont like is buying a kabob for 3.99 and only get 3 cubes of meat. Plus i like the Santa Maria one the best. Easiest place to park. If you dont like the food just come around the right time usually lunch. The reason why because there is plenty of girls who come in with yoga pants.
