Im accidentally find this supermarket when I went to lunch with business friend at Thai restaurant. next door.Its small place but good selection with great produces. I live in San Jose.When ever I go to Mountain View, I make sure I stop and shop here. Also,nice and friendly staffs!
1 quart of perfect Melon $2, or mango or pineapple $3. What? Blueberries $1 a half pint. Produce fresh and cheap. Acme bread, caviar. Prices are great. Produce is fresh!
Store that sells Latin American products along with Indian ones at very reasonable prices. They also have food to go. I dont know if they have changed ownership or what but sometimes they just dont follow schedules. Even though their sign says a closure time, if you arrive 5 minutes before they will tell you not to come in even though there is still people in line. Other times when they are suppose to have the kitchen open according to their schedule they said its not open. Not going there that often anymore.
Wide selection of produce. Love having a small corner grocery shop with short lines and competitive prices near downtown MV. They also have a great selection of tea and unique chocolate, plus ice cream. Never need to go to Safeway anymore.
Great local grocery store, meat market, taqueria, and some baked goods. The produce and the meat always look fresh (be aware that they sell the meat separately, so youll buy it at the counter in the back.). They have homemade creme and some baked goods, although their bakery didnt impress me as much. They also just opened a little taqueria in the back.Its a small shop, so theres not a lot of extra room, so sometimes it can feel cramped, but the owners are always cheerful and friendly.
We shop fresh fruits and vegetables here, some of the best in the area. We come here all the way from San Jose. Their avocados are the best and at a very low price, compared to whole foods. I get my weeks worth of plain kefir at $2.99 which is a fraction of what I would pay at WF. I wouldnt get meat or seafood here, though. But, again, high quality fresh fruit and veggies-this is the place.
Craving cherries, went to Target and they were priced at $ 2 99 they looked a little beat up so went to Safeway they looked good but man $3.99 a pound sorry no way! Went to JL and found gorgeous looking cherries at $ 1.99! I also got apricots, grapefruits and instant coffee which believe it or not has become a rarity. Great vegetables fruit at the best price in Mountain View!
Decent produce, decent collection of processed foods. Seems like a decent selection of fish and red meats too (I am a vegetarian, so dont hold that against me).Not an lot of variety of fruits and vegetables but serves well for local populace within walkable distance.
Anaizing food . The tortas at the vendor in the back of this store are Devine. Service was top notch . Recomend eating lunch there . As far as Mexican food goes its a 9 out of 10 rating
Never again. Be careful. 1 star - too high for this one.Maybe I expected too much of 4.4 rated store. But there are several things that made my impression: its not possible to find labels for many products, you cant understand how much particular product costs. Not convenient but OK, possible to put up. Loud music - I understand, I should pay for low prices (they are not too low, some products are cheaper, some are not VS other stores). But the most unpleasant incidents were at cashiers deck. He asked if I need a bag, I said no but he put all my products in the bag. Ok, maybe I didnt say loud enough. But when I went out the store and check the receipt I found one product that I didnt buy. So, he got this product for free and I paid for it (I think it works this way). I came and ask money back for the product I didnt buy and got them.Be careful if you are going to buy anything, check your receipt and dont let someone fool you and steal your money.Update: Now reviewing the receipt Ive found out that the had cashier thrown even 2 (!) FAKE products into it. I wonder how often he does it.
Take a recipe and check your goodsI walked in and a guy asked me do I have a mask? I said “No, do you have one ?” and he nicely handled me one without saying anythingThen after purchase I checked a receipt and they added 1$ for a mask WITHOUT letting me know that the mask is extra. At this point I would come back later, then buying a maskIt’s not about a 1$, it’s about an act. I call it stealing

Fresh produce, their JL produce guacamole is the best around! Friendly service and great selection of goods. Parking is easy as it’s in a lot.
Honestly, a rating of JL Poster on Moffet Blvd depends on what you need from a small neighborhood store. For me, I need a place to get fresh milk, fruits and meat, without standing in line or get blinded by florescently lighted super long aisles. I also get friendly staff, fresh Acme bread, and Swedish Gingersnaps. Sure its cramped, sure its limited in terms of offerings. But oh such a relief to pull in to this parking lot after work, get your grocery necessities and be on your merry way home in 5 minutes. Priceless! (For everything else i guess there is a Safeway...)
This Mexican-Eastern European grocery store is one of our favourites! I can find Polish candies I grew up with, the freshest fruit and produce, as well as fresh tortillas in one spot!
Faithful client since 2012 they have always great choice if fruit & vegetables. I love the bred choice, spices and burritos are just phenomenal worth it .You can find Eastern European food like sausage, pierogi.

JL Produce is my go-to place for groceries now. Closer to where I live than Safeway, good opening hours (until 09:00 pm or so) and great selection.Fresh fruit and veggies for very reasonable prices, cheap good meat and fish, and cool Mexican and Russian products to try when youre feeling adventurous. They also have Mexican pastries and ACME bread! I also get my milk and yogurt there.Their taqueria is a hidden gem, they make tasty tacos for really cheap, using the very same meat that they sell. They sometimes have aguas frescas (fresh fruit and water drinks) made in-house to go with those tacos.

I live nearby and shop here almost daily. It is so refreshing, no pun intended, to buy just enough for 1-2 days, not to have rotting produce in the fridge, and to see smiles on the faces of familiar grocery store staff. Some of my favorite products here are Labne kefir cheese, huge Santa Rosa eggs sold by a dozen, and Indian grilling cheese. Portobello mushrooms are always firm and fresh, green herbs luscious and sold in generous bunches, much cheaper than at Safeway, Mexican onions are delicious - tastier than scallions - and tri-color little tomatoes, orange, yellow, and red, are the best, both fresh and sauteed.
Convenient store. They have a little bit of everything. Unfortunately, even when I am a habitual customer, Im getting worse and worse customer service every new day. Once I was kicked out for being late few minutes after 8pm, even when I only wanted to buy a single item and there was still line at the cashier.On another day, I came at 6:15 on Saturday to get some food from their taqueria, and, even when they claim is open until 7, they told me they closed early and kicked me out again. Conclusion: do not trust their times.
Cheap healthy produce + a nice carniceria. Inside there is also a Rincon Sabroso location that makes pupusas, burritos, and more. They take credit card!

Also for they have russian kombucha- kvas and cottage cheese. A bit small and not assembled to use carts. But they have baskets. Not fancy but worth to buy some fresh fruits and veggies
I come here for the meat. Wide selection of fresh beef and chicken. The guy who runs the butcher counter always has good information and advice. He really is the man. Really this is the place I come to get anything fresh.
My local market. I enjoy the fresh produce, groceries, and especially the meat counter... Grab a whole chicken to roast or grill. While you stock up for taco night, get some flank steak and vegetables to grill, and be sure to try the Chorizo Salvadoreno. It will change your attitude! And its a family business, they know how to hustle!
Great grocery store, the staff is always very friendly and helpful. They have agreat assortment of Mexican and European products, and the food stand inside sells great burritos.

JL is a perfect little grocery store with amazing fresh produce, good cheese and Hispanic food, and some fun European imports. Be ready to pay cash for purchases under $10.

This place is a hidden gem. It has fresh produce and meats along with the other usual Mexican grocery items at great prices.
Very bad service. Boards show different prices and they all vary costs when it comes to billing. When we ask them, he says we never had that price and when I showed him price board, they throwed the price board away and even treats like they are giving things for free. Crazy them!

Terrible service! The cashier is a very arrogant woman! Ignorant misinformed. A mask law passed in some California counties today, but it does not include Santa Clara County yet. And they are not letting people in to do their shopping without the mask. Even people who are already trained to pay are arrogantly and rudely chased away by the woman who is the cashier. I will definitely never go back there. And the lady is willing to inform herself well 👎👎👎
Today I went to buy fruit at this place and I was making a video call with a family member, I paid and left, I grabbed a transparent plastic case and got into my car, it turns out that after a while the cashier approaches my car and tells me to pay for the tangerine that according to I grabbed her I told her that which tangerine I only grabbed a plastic cover but I checked the car I showed her and she left in a hurry without even apologizing for that false accusation. It caused me indignation and I went to her and told her to look carefully before accusing without any proof, according to what she said that the owner has seen me because I asked her to call the owner because it is not the first time that I have bought in that place and she said that It wasnt there, they take the name of the owner instead of apologizing that they misrepresent the person they hire. I didnt even receive an invoice for my purchase! near my house

2023-03-16 05:15:36Great first shopping experience here. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies, international packaged foods, all basics and some more. Lots of cheese variety, fresh tortillas, tortilla dough. There was only checkout counter but they were very fast and efficient.

2022-08-14 06:18:39This is a convenient grocery spot for some quick fruit and Mexican and middle eastern ingredient shopping. Their fruits and produce prices are very reasonable and fair. Plenty of parking spots. Friendly staff. I highly recommend this place to Mountain View and Sunnyvale residence as well as other Bay Area neighbors. Enjoy shopping here.

2022-04-10 20:00:50First time going to JL Produce, and right from the beginning, I noticed how friendly the staff are and how committed the staff are to providing great produce to the community. I really enjoyed the variety of foods and produce offered. Although it may seem like a small detail, I bought a pre-sliced watermelon, and it was fresh and crunchy, unlike the mushy pre-sliced watermelon I have gotten at other big stores. Overall, I had a great experience, and I am looking forward to returning to JL Produce.

2021-12-31 04:30:37Just found out about this place from a friend, I LOVE THIS MARKET!All of my favorite foods in one place, Latin American, Indian, Balkan, Mediterranean and more. No more going to 5 different stores to get what I need. Great selection of spices at unbelievably low prices. The produce is top-notch and fairly priced, not marked way up like safeway. (and without the fruit flies from safeway) you should definitely check this place out. When my friend told me I knew it would be good, but still blown away by how good.

2022-04-15 18:14:03I love getting fresh salsa here. My favorite is the salsa molcajete and the hot roasted chile verde. The produce is fresh too.They also have a fresh meat section within the store that you have to pay for separately. Ive tried the pastor and marinated chicken. The pastor was decent, but I didnt think the flavor of the chicken was that great. Its worth it if youre lazy and want to make a quick taco Tuesday meal though 😉

2020-01-11 17:00:24We have been buying our groceries here for almost 5 years. The aisles are a bit crowded so try to avoid peak times. Dairy selection can be hit or miss. Great selection and prices for non perishable groceries and decent selection of fruits and vegetables.
