This restaurant has the right ingredients and they know the correct amounts to use. When I smell the food I feel like I am back in Thailand. Very well done 👏The service is always on time, friendly and with good recommendations.The sample platter is great to share if you are 4+. Soups were full of flavor. Everyone wanted more! We tried a couple of curries with pork. I can still savor them. Have to go back soon. Thanks!

It pains me to write this negative review of Kinaly Thai. I had been a loyal customer of theirs, getting lunch from them multiple times a week for two years. I decided to check out their new location, and was severely disappointed. I called in a to-go order of Chicken Pad Thai and they told me itd take 20 minutes. I showed up 30 minutes later to be safe. After waiting in a 1-person line for 10 minutes due to the cashiers inability to take a customers order, I was billed $17 for my chicken pad thai. When the cashier returned, I was informed that my order had not even been started. Mind you, now 40 minutes had passed since I placed it. When I requested a refund, it was given to me, but there was no sympathy or understanding of my frustration. The only conclusion I can draw from this interaction is they do not want my business. The new store looks great, but if the prices are so high and the service is so low, I dont recommend going.

The food here is immaculate! Served hot and fresh. Our server was really polite and attentive. Its so nice to sit and eat somewhere with good customer service. The curry chicken is so good. The pad thai is just a good and the basil fried rice was even better. Will certainly be back.

I had previously been to the Kinaly Thai in Escondido and it was good. By accidentally ordered at San Marcos location instead. Just got home and the food is very bland and very salty. That I could look over, except what I ordered for myself, yellow curry with tofu, the carrots, potatoes and onions were crunchy and close to raw. Never ordering from here again.

You know the food was good when after my car crash all I was thinking about was Im alive and I wanted to finish my pad Thai tofu. The customer service was impeccable and the restaurant itself was extremely clean and had positive refreshing energy. It wasnt busy so we got our food in great timing. I ordered late but they still served us with no hassle. Great place. My boyfriend never had Thai or knew what to order so I recommended him chicken satay and he LOVED it he wanted a rotisserie chicken from the store but I told him this was WAY better ... We definitely will be back. You should totally come here

They have some great Thai curry here. The yellow curry is fantastic though sometimes the potatoes are a little too large which makes them not fully cooked. Nevertheless the fried potstickers and drunken noodles are always a good choice of curry is not your thing.

Make sure to order ahead - This place was packed two nights in a row. Excellent food. Amazing Thai cuisine for affordable cost. Highly recommend the beef pad Thai, the fried rice, and the wontons. Will be going here again. Great sauce, great taste. 10/10

Changed review to 2 stars from 4 BECAUSE skimpy on tofu and SALAD (pahLeaze! Had to add a whole avocado to make it a “full” salad. Paid too money much for that to happen!!!) Also, see photo. Stopped here because I was in the area. The cashier was very friendly and after placing my order I only waited for about 5 minutes. I ordered the drunken noodles and I ordered them very spicy. They were delicious! Also had a Thai iced tea that was excellent 👌. I took my food to go so I wasnt inside for very long but there was nothing special about the ambiance or interior. It seemed clean though. I would recommend.

My Tom kha soup had tomatoes and onion which are not listed on the ingredients, seafood a little over cooked for my liking I usually get the curry. I didnt get the coconut taste I’m used to and it was not thick enough for me I Will try something else next time. Soup Not worth the cost

I ordered chicken yellow curry spice level at 6, chicken drunken noodles at 6, and mango sticky rice. Service was very friendly and the environment is fair for casual eating.The curry was great, but a little spicier than I expected. The potatoes could have been boiled for a little longer. Despite that, flavor was amazing and the coconut milk taste was very present, delicious! Price and portion was fair.The drunken noodles were also full of flavor, soft, and not chewy. Spiciness on this one was not as noticeable as the curry. Portion and price was fair.Finally, we get to the mango sticky rice. It was nicely glazed and very presentable. Only critique on this one was the ripeness of the mango. A few more days of ripening would have done the mango and overall dish a boost in flavor. Regardless, the taste was wonderful and I do not regret ordering it. Price for this seems a little too high given the small portion. $1.50 less seems a little better too me.Overall I would love to come back and would argue that the dishes above are better than most, if not all, Thai restaurants in the city.

Update. Had a dine in meal today. They had one really nice server/host name Angela. She had to cover both the carry out and the dine in guest. I was really impressed.Tried them after seeing them for years there. It is a hidden gem of a place to eat. Very good food from my meal and very friendly. Will be adding them to my food rotation.

Portions are really small for the price. Entrees are almost same portions as appetizers.We have been a frequent customer for almost 3 years and we liked it a lot before. Now its less meat, less qty, doesnt taste as good as before. This would be our last visit unfortunately.

Decent enough place if you live nearby and you need your fix of thai food but I doubt anybody would go out of their way to seek this place out. I had the pad Thai and curry chicken fried rice which were both passible but nothing to get excited about. Service was good the wait staff and the cashier were extremely friendly and prompt. Very clean and well kept bathrooms which always makes a good impression on me. I was in the area and decided to check it out so the next time I do so will probably be the same.

Ordered some takeout tofu drunken noodles from this place. I asked a medium spice level and the protein to be tofu. Unfortunately, it was not spicy at all, not that much tofu, and it was rather greasy. For 13 dollars altogether, I think I’ll look elsewhere for drunken noodles locally unless they change the ingredient list. I would say that the staff was very friendly and the space was really nice and open. The patio is a great place to eat that is also socially distanced with a nice view.

Best Thai food around! We usually call in to pick up. The only reason I dont give them 5 stars is because I reserve that distinction for places that are nearly perfect. I have had issues with the service and wait time, although the staff is usually very nice. If you rate the food only, its 5 stars. Thats why we order to go...

Had a pretty large order for 2 people. Ordered Beef salad, Yellow curry, calamari and chicken satay. I asked the cashier how spicy the curry was, and he stated it was extremely spicy. The curry had no spice to it. The beef salad had more spice to it than the curry. Aside from that, it was a good meal.

One of my fave Thai restaurants and that says a lot since my family is part Thai. The customer service is always wonderful and the food is always delicious. We dont always eat there but I often order take-out since its on my way home from work and its not even 5 minutes from my house. There are so many choices and I always over order since everything is so yummy there! I especially love the angel wing appetizers because its like having a protein egg roll so when Im looking for that taste but not the carbs, those are my go to. Their pad see eww is delicious and I love their bbq chicken as well. I could go on an on about what I like to order but I recommend you trying this place out yourself

We ordered curbside pickup and they let our food sit there for 10mins until one of us finally went inside and got it. We noticed the person in the car next to us had the same issue. The food was warm and had to be heated up. It tasted ok.

So I been going here for a while now, their food has been good up until recently... I am not sure if they changed staff and ownership but things certainly changed. They definitely have smaller portion sizes, and their scale of spicy has changed as well. I asked for a pad see with chicken and shrimp, it came on my table and the first thing i noticed was how small the portion was. When I bit into it I was expecting a good solid spice kick to it (ordered a 7 out of ten spicy) but, it was as sweet as teriyaki sauce. The main reasons I have been coming here is because it was a good price for portion and quality. I will come back someday but message to the owner or manager: Please revert back to how you ran at least year ago, you will lose your loyal customers that way.

For almost a year they had my favorite curry. Vegetable always came with eggplant. Now the curries are hardly recognizable, and Ive been getting new combos of vegetables with no eggplant. I think something has changed for the worse with their kitchen staff. I might try the escondido location to see if theyve still got it.

My wife and I ordered delivery from here during the pandemic, and were very dissatisfied with the food quality. We will not order from here again. The panang was basically a simple red curry--not what one would expect from an authentic Thai restaurant, nor the thick, sometimes peanutty sauce, one would expect from a more Americanized Thai restaurant. The chicken satay did not appear to be grilled, skewered, marinaded, chicken, but rather sliced, baked, chicken breast whose only discernible flavors were turmeric and (maybe?) tamarind, the sauce was not bad. The pad Thai and Pad See Ew, were marginally better, but not stellar, and also lack fresh flavor.

This is the best Thai food ive found in San Diego. The owner is very nice and did a great job describing the different menu options. I go here at least once a week. Wait time is in line with most restaurants with 10-15 min from time of order to your table which is better than a lot of comparable places. If you are looking for authentic fresh Thai food this is an excellent choice.

Friendly staff and complete menu in a relative restaurant desert.We moved into the neighborhood about 5 years ago and have tried Kinaly once or twice a year (including their old location in the same shopping center) and every time we want it to be good...but none of the dishes really stand out and everything lacks the bold and contrasting flavors were looking for in Thai food. Their spicy level 10 is about what a 5 is at typical Thai restaurants, so if you like it spicy you may be adding your own chili sauce. Another thing that is unlike every other Thai restaurant is not serving rice with their curry (or any other entree).Their prices are about on par with other sit-down Thai restaurants in North County, but the portions are on the smaller side and not really suited for family style dining. If the dishes were amazing, this alone wouldnt be a problem at all, but the price for this quality/quantity does seem high.There are about 8 Thai restaurants within 5 miles of the CA-78 / I-15 interchange, so you can easily find better food just a couple minutes away.

First timer, cant wait to come back. Really great fresh food. Super friendly staff. It was a Friday night at 6pm, and the place was half full. As we sat there, the activity ramped up, the door always swinging open, and the phone beginning to ring with what Im sure were many take out orders. I waited for my food with the best coldest Sinha Beer and an even colder glass. They know whats up! It took awhile for the food, but I had been told this was the case by others as the food is made to order. The beer and conversation made the wait pleasant and I did not mind. The food was worth it in the end. Everything was bright and fresh, herbaceous even. We had Tom Yum Shrimp Soup, Pork Pad Se Ew, and Chicken Ka Prow w rice. Everything was spot on. The hard part was choosing what to order. I already know what Im ordering next time...gotta try that Duck Fried Rice!

I had never been here before, read the reviews and thought it would be my next favorite Thai spot. THEN... not enough waiters for tables (gets busy quick), and the sticky rice was rock solid. I also thought the curry was terrible. Flavorless. I had yellow curry and my husband had beef panang. I expressed my feelings about my food to the waitress in a friendly manner and she then asked me if I wanted to take it home?!? I had two bites :( They took off one sticky rice from the bill. THANKS. Oh man, pretty awful overall. Dont waste your time, head over to another favorite thai place if you can!

This place is DELICIOUS. I just ordered them via GrubHub and I am so impressed! Their Red Curry is perfectly spiced and has the perfect creamy texture (some thai places are too runny in my opinion) which is perfect with rice or- honestly even without. Thai Tea was perfect to complement the heat of the dish. Prices very reasonable, about $11 with choice of meat for a generous portion! I am so satisfied and hope to visit this place soon instead of just delivery. :) Thank you, thank you! Im changing my rating from 5 stars down to 3. Since Lee moved into the new building, the level of service has gone way down, and even the food quality has suffered. Her old location inside the main strip mall building only had a few tables, and she was able to wait them moderately well. Now she has at least 15 tables, and shes still trying to do it all herself. My wife and I felt sorry for her, because she was running around trying to wait tables, work the register, and even bussing tables. The rice was old, dry, and cold, and both our main dishes were luke warm. We watched her half clean a table, then run off, never finishing properly. She eventually seated a party at that table. As someone pointed out in another review, the food tends to be uniformly too spicey-hot, no matter what level you order.

This restaurant is a nice place, but they always mess up the order. Every single time weve ordered from here, EVERY plate is a 10 on the hotness scale. I usually like 5-7, but 5 here was way to hot, so I tried lower, and lower, and the last time I asked for a ONE. still was a 10.im not going back. it sucked anyway. really- this is the worst thai food i have had. i only go because my one friend likes it so much because he is a pretentious tool that thinks its cool. There are plenty better thai restaurants so i have no clue why people praise this one as if its above any of the others.
