L&L Hawaiian Barbecue - San Marcos (Inside Walmart) in San Marcos

This restaurant is inside Walmart on Center Drive.5 stars, absolutely amazing taste, nice employees, the people in the kitchen cooking with gloves on, good size proportions, great prices!I am not someone who really likes BBQ or food in general (Im pretty picky) and this food is fantastic. I cannot stop thinking about how good it was, wow!100% will be back!

Man, this place has great service and conveniently located inside the Walmart entrance but their food is atrocious! The bbq beef had a silver/green sheen, mac salad was watery, the bbq chicken was terrible and looked like it is been cooked days ago, the masubi had meat in there that was paper thin but the katsu was alright I guess.

First time eating from L&L, ordered Katshu Chicken curry dinner to go. Lots of chicken, probably get 4 meals from it as a widower, retired. Came with two large scoops of rice and macaroni salad. Next time I will skip the curry.

GREAT food. Options available here that most other Hawaiian cuisine places dont offer. Pictured below is the loco Moco burger. Really great burger. Ill eat anything with an egg in it. Service was a tad slow but there were a lot of people waiting. Will be going back here for more. Great chicken katsu too.

I gave L&L Hawaiian BBQ 5 stars instead of 4 because the cashier was way chill and she let me do 2 ice cream flavors in a small serving (I added a pic of all the flavors they offer.) so thats what set it to 5 star, and the reason it got to 4 was cuz the pork with the bone still in it, I forgot the band of it, but yeah, thats where its at... I was not expecting anything that good inside a walmart, and it turned out to be a5star.. I would have never guessed. Prices are reasonable too.

The food is greasy oily and gross 🤢. They fed me chicken skin dripping in oil. The beef was scarce and also extremely oily.

The chicken was fresh but the mac was watery and the sauce was culmpy

Do not let the location fool you, they are making extremely good food and everyone working there are great people.

This place is very nice. Not a lot of people know about it but the food they have here is amazing. My favorite is their chicken katsu

I used to work at an l and l 20 or so yrs ago n the mac salad had a touch of tuna in it to make it taste great. What i got was gloppy mayo mac salad w like 5 lil shread pieces of carrot. I wont be back.
