I would say this is one of the best Korean place I have visited. This place is very much a true family restaurant (been here twice) that has exclusively grand moms taking care of customers in the front and I am not complaining because grand moms were nice. It is minimally decorated but it is clean and open. We ordered king dumplings (more than enough for 2 if you have other things), kimchi with pork rib in a pot (good enough for 3 persons), beef soup of some sort and they are all very good. Be aware that, like most Korean foods, all the foods have extreme tastes (except the dumplings, I guess). I took 1 star off because it is a little pricey.
Poor first experience ordering takeout from this location. This was a shame since the Koreatown and Northridge locations are both fantastic.1) Called in for an order of 1x king steam dumplings, 2x shrimp + pork dumplings, 1x short rib soup2) Arrived to pick up, paid $55 for the whole order, grabbed a menu on the way out3) Got home and checked the food - received 3x king steam dumpling, 1x short rib soup4) Store was already closed so Id just check back the next day5) Noticed that the prices on the menu did not come close to the $55 I paid6) Called the next day and was told to go back to the restaurant to pick up the missing 2x shrimp + pork dumplings7) After I arrived, I was told Id have to return the extra 2x king steam dumplings before they would make the shrimp + pork dumplings8) ????? (Were they going to take the dumplings back into the kitchen and sell them again?)9) Not worth dealing with these people at this point, so I just left10) Actual prices were $12 per king steam dumpling order and $16 for the short rib soup - they admitted the menu they gave had incorrect prices1/5 would not recommend.
Naeng myun is a little bland but dumplings are bomb
Me and my friend are so happy with our experience here! The staff is very nice and attentive, we felt so welcome! Our favorite part of the meal was a boiled dumpling we had and also the King Dumplings! If we can give it more than 5 stars we would!

Dude, my cousin and I went on Sunday because we were craving dumplings and it was a lot. We ordered like 5 different things thinking that they were going to be average size...WRONG! They were huge!!!! we had to split one dimpling in half because they were so big! I definitely recommend

A mom and pop Korean dumpling place, if you want a twist to your dim sum craving. The meal comes with free refills of hot tea, kim chee and other veggies. The taste: well balanced and clean, you can kick it up with soy sauce and kim chee. The dumplings were not over flavored, nor does it have strong spices. Prices: very reasonable. The place kept very clean. And the owners? Most wonderful and gracious. The place is tucked in the very corner of the plaza. Parking can be heavy during busy times. Do they have take out? Of course! Is this worth going back to? You bet!
Had king steamed dumpling with pork and vegetables. It’s a Koreanized Chinese steamed bun. Softer and lighter than original Chinese version bun with mild, tasty, savory stuffing. The mouthfeel of biting into the bun is blissfully soft, light and moist.
Very good seems to be a mom and pop place great service.
My Kids are picky eater but they love this place. I give them 5 stars because my picky eater asked to come back here when they crave for Dumplings. I love this place as well, foods are good and its just right for my taste.
Services is nice and food is authentic. Dumplings is real good per my picky husband. Will definitely come back to get the noodle soup next time.
FRESH, made from scratch gems of #NomNom goodness. You can watch the Korean mommas behind the counter as they lovingly and carefully assemble each dumpling by hand. They even HAND-PRESS (see video) each yummie nugget like grandma used to make. Hidden in the corner of a strip mall, this place is worth checking out for adventurous foodies.
The cold buckwheat noodles were refreshing and delicious. The king steam dumplings are very fluffy, and the best! Service was great.

This Chinese/Korean dumpling place is okay. Unfortunately both Chinese and Korean dumplings are unique from one another. A for effort but cant compare with dedicated places.

I was debating whether to buy it because the owner had changed, but when I got home, I saw that it was completely trash.
The dumplings look appetizing, but the taste is not good. It may be because of my appetite for making and eating dumplings at home, but I put dumplings in my mouth, carefully interpret them, and no matter how much I persuade myself that good is good, I wonder if my dull head has lost its taste. I tilted my head at the unknown taste and eventually had to let go of my chopsticks. The dumpling skin and appearance, which are enriched with yeast, are the workmanship of a professional.

2019-09-08 20:04:23Authentic Korean restaurant that specializes in dumplings. I’ve been to the Koreatown location a couple of times but never realized this place was so close to Walnut. Came here on a Saturday at lunch around 1pm and was seated immediately. There were a few other groups already seated and chatting animatedly. We were given a pitcher of water and the menus were already at the table so you can order pretty quickly. All alcoholic drinks are $8 - the waitress swirled around the makgeoli which I had never seen before but it was cool to see. She quickly brought out the banchan plus a sauce. The banchan was super fresh and the one that was brown with a light sauce had a spiciness that crept up after you’ve finished chewing it. The two of us got the rice cakes with ramen and an order of Korean dumplings. The rice cake dish ($13) was huge - it could easily have fed four people. The carrots were super crisp and fresh and I liked the generous amount of fish cakes and rice. The dumplings were also extremely good ($9) and were handmade. You can see one of the workers making it by hand by the counter. Very large portions and the sauce you can put on it was delicious (soy sauce based). When we were finished, we paidnat the counter where she had our check waiting. For an Asian business, the service was friendly as she stopped by to check on how we were doing at one point. There’s bathrooms available and they do take credit card. Overall a very hearty, delicious meal for a reasonable price.

The food and especially the dumplings, tastes salty and nothing like the original. They have these signs at the tables once we already ordered we noticed it. Not coming back here again..

2018-07-31 07:18:07When you take that first bite into a Myung In dumpling you know it’s going to be juicy, flavorful, fresh and different from the Chinese type. It’s hand-made right there and the dipping sauce is very sweet with a little kick to it.

2022-04-05 23:29:42Pretty extensive menu, though they specialize in Mandu (만두; 饅頭), Korean-style dumplings. If youve never had Korean food this will be probably the best introduction you could ask for. Dont stop at the Korean barbecue experience! Youre missing out if you dont try a place like this. Yes, it might seem a bit pricey, but service is amazing, portions are generous, and you can taste the quality and attention to detail. Highly recommend!

2021-09-27 21:51:46We first tried this restaurant in Diamond Bar because my daughter recommended it. She said that Bourdain visited the one in LA. It didnt disappoint because their foods were really good and the service was nice. The side dishes were a bit salty for my taste, even with that we didnt hesitate to come back.
