NORMS Restaurant in Downey

I went around 11am, and even though it looked busy, we didnt have to wait at all to be seated. The server introduced himself and was very attentive the whole time we were there.The food was delicious! And what most of you appreciate and love, it was also affordable!!!It was my moms first time visiting this restaurant, and she loved it!!!We recommend this place!!!

The hosting person is very rude,He thinks he is the owner hahahahahaLong time waiting.Our worst experience in Thanksgiving.Must choose another place If you are looking for a good food.

Ordered rare steak got well. Server took back brought new. Still well done. Hashbrown black one side. Sunny side up egg burnt bottom. Pancakes came after meal.

Best thing was the service.Got the sirloin steak and eggs.Steak was very thin and a bit chewy.Hashbrowns were rough and like melted together like they were sitting for a long time, definitely werent made after ordering cause they were practically cold.Eggs were fineSourdough toast was good.

The waiters are alright but is the time to get your food is kind of too long...Also waiters are not too happy...not a nice personality. They need to be more happier.

Love the way this old fashioned place keeps up with everything! The food is awesome and delicious and they have a nice menu that gives you many choices even for vegetarians. I love the way to have the space made for those who use wheelchairs for those who are disabled. The waiters are polite and so are the cashiers. I love the way they have the discounts, especially for senior citizens! They have a 20% off during the week. I remember we went for a wedding anniversary on a Tuesday. We saved big time! I enjoyed my time and dinner there and I love the fresh drinks they have like strawberry lemonade. Yummy yummy says my tummy!

Amazing breakfast with a great price and friendly staff!

Very chaotic setting, kids are WILD and their parents do not do anything to address their behavior. As for the service is below average not attentive to the table, not to mention the syrup for the hotcakes had no cover and when ask for one with a cap they stated we dont have many caps this is what we have. Eeeww!! How do you know the last person seatting at this table did not sneeze all over it or kids stuck their finger in it! This place reminds me being at a fish market where everyone is screaming and you dont know who is in charge. The manager of this place needs to re-group with his staff and review their service to the customer. If you enjoy WILD kids screaming and been un-ruled this is the place.

You really get your moneys worth, great customer service all around from the minute you walk through the door. The food was filling, satisfying & very delicious, I got the 1/2 sandwich combo, came with fruit, salad & turkey sandwich, had to get a to-go box. I did order a side of fries for the table which were really good, my moms meal came with soup & salad so she gave me her chicken tortilla soup & I practically finished it was so delicious. Thank You to all the staff, from greeter/cashier, seater, waitress & cook. The waitress was incredibly attentive making sure we had constant refills on drinks if needed & anything else necessary. Will definitely be back again!!
