Bread was fresh with flavorful beef stew. Pho was very good and hot. My mom got the pork and cha gio was delicious. Definitely coming back.
They make a good banh mi. The price is awesome, out the door for about $8 and change. A really good deal.
This a great establishment and I have been coming here when I can (2-4 per month) it’s not in my neighborhood but I wished it was. The food selection is great and I feel like that they never skimped on the rice or noodles. It has always been yummy and a sense of pride to the food. Okay the decor is so 60s ski lodge but fun . The pho is great and the vermicelli bowls are an alt for the summertime heat. They always have plenty of seating and they are also quite efficient. The new “cash only” maybe their demise in the long run. Hope I’m wrong but if they are open, I’ll keep coming and bringing the cash.
There is an over abundance of Pho spots but this is one of the top 3 in the area. Like all pho spots service is ridiculously fast. Once you order food is out in minutes. I judge alll pho on the stock, this broth is delicious! Super tasty and it’s from the tasty bone broth not MSG. Rice plates are great. And prices are very affordable. This is not an instagram spot but that’s not why you are here. Come for the food and go take your picture’s elsewhere
I have been eating here for years every time I visit the MountainView area. This is a no frills, low cost good food vietnamese restaurant. The service is always friendly and fast and the food is all reasonably priced. The Pho is authentic with plenty of options. Good luck if you choose the large, I hope your hungry! The spring rolls are fantastic. If you are in the area and looking for a quick, affordable, and tasty Vietnamese meal give Pho Nam a try!
The service was really good and the food came out quickly. But although the noodles and broth were good, I didn’t really enjoy the meat. The place is very unique itself. The facility is decently clean but I did find some dust and dirt on the top of my soda can (probably from storage). ALSO THIS PLACE IS CASH ONLY

The food was decent. I didnt put the hoisin sauce or the saracha inside my bowl otherwise it would have been too salty. I would suggest you put them in the sauce plate provided and dips your beef.

There were quite a few beef options for pho as well as other meals. I got the beef flank and my boyfriend got the seafood pho. They were both delicious and well priced for how large the bowl was. We also got an order of spring rolls. It came out fast and the servers were friendly. Recommended.

Ordered a rice dish and pho, the quality and quantity of the meat has obviously declined over the years while the price stay inflated. Also, thai tea has no tea flavor.This is not a 2 star review only because the pho was not a disaster, but will not come back. Also they didnt even bother serving water.

I am a very long time customer here.The food is always fresh and tasty; service is prompt and accurate and it is served cheerfully.Keip who is a manager, always makes sure that everything is exactly fine for each and every customer.Their food is indeed authentic but it is also gentle to American and international taste.Generally, the payment has to be in cash.I usually order shrimp spring rolls as appetizer; beef stew as the main dish along with soda.A good indicator for this restaurant is that the majority of customers are repeat customers.By the way, they serve a French coffee that tastes and looks exactly the same as what you get in a restaurant in Paris. The aroma is out of this world.Their prices are quite reasonable, and food quality as well as quantity is excellent. To guarantee freshness, you brew this coffee right at your table.

This is my go to Pho spot. It is quick, no nonsense, amenable, and quite good. It gets busy at peak times, but service is always efficient. I love tendon here, so soft and toothsome. They sub in more veggies for noodles with no fuss as well. Other places I have been charge extra for this service.
Standard Phở in a roomy dining room. Its cash only but inexpensive. Service was abysmal in our visit though, so I cannot really recommend this place. They forgot the appetizer, and repeatedly ignored us. Our server was more interested in cleaning tables and replenishing chopsticks holders than attending customers. It took too long to get the check, and we even gave up on breaking a bill to leave a normal tip. Consistent with the rest of the experience, the two people near the door didnt even say goodbye when we left.
I will definitely not going back to to this place. Before we even ordered our food I went to use the restroom and came across one employee coming out of a stall walking out back to work with out washing his hands, right to the kitchen. The same employee was seen bringing my food to my table. This is one of the most disgusting experiences in life. I walked right out the door and left the food on the table and told the manager

The only reason I didnt give it a five stars review is that it is a cash only place. I dont mind to pay in cash, but it can happen that I dont have cash on me.
This is my favorite pho place for now. I liked their Combo deal, which you can choose any soup noodle and drink for $11.5. You should definitely try the Vietnamese coffee served in traditional dripping cup. Many other Vietnamese restaurant no longer serve coffee this way. The beef stew is also my favorite. It is very tasty and you either bread or rice on the side.
I came here because of the good review on Google and was very disappointed. The beef stew was salty. The price of a plate of rice with 2 eggs was as same as with BBQ pork and egg. And the Pho was not good AT ALL. It wasnt really bad but I couldnt say it was average. 2 stars for the staffs.
Utter trash, there was a man that was a cashier that was mean and cold when ever he serves me food it is always half of what is normally served. food there is fine but the size is just trash especially this on guy that served me with half of what I usually get for my soup and he only gave me 1/16 of a lemon. He was very cold and I’m very dissatisfied with how much soup he gave me. NOT worth your time and money. Do NOT go there unless you have too. He is a cashier he is not nice

Weve been patronizing this establishment for years and it never ceases to disappoint! The broth is pretty legit, although it can be rather salty. I wouldnt recommend finishing off the whole bowl of soup.Although prices have gone up over the years, the large bowl of pho with a drink is not a bad deal. You might have leftovers to bring home as well.

First time at this Pho Nam - been going regularly to one near Mecado for several years. Good soup like the other place. Disappointed about the portion, especially the meat, which is less than 1/2 of the portion of the other place... Perhaps, the other place knows I am a regular and thus makes special bowls for me?...

Your basic Pho and Vietnamese comfort food. I like this place. Good service, fast, friendly people.they have been there forever, and the decorations shows it :-) But really cozy.They do not have clear noodle as far as I know. But overall they are good.
One of my favorite places for Pho - Vietnamese beef noodle soup 🍜 They always give you enough beef along with the rice noodles. (Many places Ive been to actually cut corners nowadays by giving you very few slices of beef but a lot of broth or noodles to fill the large 🥣)
This place used to be our favorite, but the last time we went it did not have the usual quality. The pho bowl was completely covered with the broth and you couldnt see any toppings except for very few bits of spring onions and cilantro. Very little. The soup was supposed to have steak but either it wasnt in it or was deep down and already fully cooked.
Authentic Vietnamese food with very reasonable price that I would recommend to everyone. Just keep in mind that it is cash-only. There is an ATM in the restaurant which may charge ~$2 withdrawal fees, but still worthy for a visit.

Soup and noodles are perfect on cold nights or when youre feeling a little under the weather. This restaurant has excellent Pho. However, what stands out for me is the service. Everyone from the hosts to the servers is pleasant. They always smile when making eye contact. Pho Nam is a great value and has become a favorite of ours.
I would not say this is the best Phô Ive ever had, but it is a nice place, and the food is good, and the staff friendly.So friendly that when a apparently homeless old man step in and started bothering customers trying to sell them some DVDs, on of the staff member kindly reached out and have him sat and fed.A good restaurant is not just the food, its also a home :)

You cannot give this place 5 stars. Thats just ridiculous. This is decent pho place with all the basics, but not really anything special (like interesting seafood, papaya salad, clay pot, etc.). I was tempted to give it 1 star to drag down all the bogus high ratings. The main drawback of this place is too much MSG.House of Pho farther south on El Camino is better with better selection. Go figure it has lower ratings.
The Pho was pretty good, I personally took the Chicken Pho with extra noodles, was very good and will be back again.
If you get one of their house specials soups called Pho, definitely make sure you check your bag of contents to see if they put in the Hoist and sauce sriracha sauce and soy sauce. The young girl that checked me out at the cashier station said it would be in the bag of vegetables and it was not and that is a really big part of the flavor in that Vietnamese soup dish.
This place is wonderful. Food quality is consistent. Broth on the phó is delicious every time. Service is perfect and prices are reasonable. I always add vegetables (optional)- (broccoli, califlower, cabbage, carrots) cost a little extra but worth it.
Food is great, hot, and fast. You can eat and run in 1/2 hour if you want.
Legendary and good. Seems a bit old, but very good nevertheless. Would definitely recommend to go there for lunch, snack, dinner, anything that floats your boat. Just make sure to bring cash, yet the place is cheap and includes fast service.

This was the first place I got Pho when I first moved here from the East Coast, so it always holds a special place in my heart. Their coffee is phenomenal, I love the Thai iced tea, and I always get the Pho Tai. Delicious.
My go-to Pho place. For big eaters, dont forget you can get an extra helping of noodles on the side. Personal preference, I avoid the siracha at pho places but instead go with extra jalepenos. And these guys are not shy about dishing out the extras. Cash only but has an ATM inside.

I have to say I really miss this place. Left Cali for years, No pho ive had on east coast came even close.
Best pho for miles. This is a regular haunt of ours and we always enjoy it.

2023-10-23 04:22:18We were driving through the area and thought we’d stop for dinner. I’m really happy we stopped bc we could get the entree and drink combo. I had a large pho and a specialty bean drink which was delicious. The coconut drink was refreshing. The vermicelli bowl was also good. The service was really fast and polite.

2023-10-09 21:04:20Pho is pretty good. I got the fatty brisket, which I wasn’t a fan of, but that’s personal preference. I did get to try the lean brisket though. Much better, in my opinion. If you can handle the extra spice and acidity, sriracha and the lime taste great with the soup.Anyway, they offer a pho and drink combo, and I got the vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. It was amazing. Strong and sweet, the way I like it. I’d recommend it.

2023-06-10 15:47:38Beef stew with rice is absolutely delicious! Its packed with beef and carrot chunks that are incredibly tender. The taste is so comforting and satisfying. Plus, its budget-friendly. Ill definitely be back for more.

2022-12-20 01:51:28We found this place on the google maps. I ordered #1 for my 5 years old because she likes cartilage and other viscera 🤪, and seafood pho for myself. Everything was pretty good except crab meat 🙃, but that’s ok, I just didn’t eat it. The large portions. Polite and fast staff. The rest of our food we took with us, and they kindly provided disposable tableware for soup, drink and appetizers.It’s was nice experience! Thank you for less sweet Thai tea, I loved it!!

2022-11-18 22:33:30I gave a 4 star for overall but I really wanted to give a 4.5 star if it were available. What stands out the most is the price. A small bowl of pho is under $12 (before tax) and a large bowl of pho is under $14 (before tax). Other items on the menu is also reasonably priced. I would like to come back sometime soon since its hard to find a pho place like this in Sunnyvale. Also there are plenty of parking spots in the plaza, which makes it convenient.

2023-08-26 16:26:09There are two cashiers in this store, one wears glasses and the other one doesn’t wear glasses. The one with glasses should be pretty good, but the one without glasses is bad. The last two times I bought a large size of Pho, I took it away. After I paid, I waited at the door of the kitchen. The cashier without glasses walked into the kitchen and told a Mexican guy who was cooker,he said:’give her less.’ When I took it home and opened it. That was Just a small noodle ball, 2 slices of cooked meat, 2 slices of raw meat, I paid $14.46, bought the large size, and it turned out to be smaller than the small size, this is not the case once, I bought it twice in two weeks，but the Same thing happened and I wanted to talk to his manager about it . so I called the store and said I wanted to get in touch with his manager and he always answered the phone because I could hear His voice, I called three times on different days, each time he said the manager was not there, and then I said I wanted to leave my name and phone number, hoping his manager would call back to me, but I never got his manager called me back, maybe the cashier has already thrown my phone into the trash can, maybe his manager is a very irresponsible person, right now I would rather go to another store farther away, I wont go to this store anymore. Moreover, the same thing happened to my friend who ordered takeaway from this store. I hope this store can change this cashier. The quality of this cashier is really too low, which affects the business of this store. I really cant understand. they secretly exchange the guests large size to small size, which is even smaller than the small size, how much more profit can they make? This is a serious deception.
