Property looks really really nice, free breakfast thats good.. my only only bad review is when I walked into my room it smelled so bad like dingy old room, musty type smell!!I smelled the sheets which were clean because of the bleach smell, it was the curtains that reeked so bad. I had to drive to Walmart that was 10miles away to buy scented candles in order to sleep and not smell the odor.The room was super nice and had a apartment vibe to it.. with out the dingy smell it would be 5 stars across the board!!!!Please take the time to clean the curtains..
If youve ever been to a Residence Inn, its exactly that. Same room layout, basic amenities, and standard breakfast offerings. What makes each Residence Inn different (and hence their rating) is their management and responsiveness.Put simply, Marriot should seriously reconsider their license with this location. After four separate discussions with the front desk to have a door repaired, I finally gave up. A call/email to the GM goes completely ignored. This is not the Marriot I know.Parking is horrible; what they consider to be a parking space size is ridiculous. Unless youre riding a bicycle, you wont be able to get out of your car. For that privilege, $10/night.Its in a nice town (I love San Ramon), very safe, good location, all-around this SHOULD be a home run. But apparently good help is hard to find.In addition, it seems that the owners/ management of this particular property really dont want to keep things updated. The pool isnt kept up (chemically), the toilets are often plagued by roots of trees, causing constant clogs. Some rooms have standard light switches, others have auto-sense switches that turn off when youre in the tub/shower. The fact that its not uniform often point to thrifty owners who only replace stuff when they must. So your experience may vary.
Nicest hotel! Staff at the front desk had personality and were super friendly. Room was sooooo nice. It was clean, stocked. Pillows and bed totally comfy. There was a fireplace in my room! Full sized fridge, dishwasher, cooktop with clean dishes and pans, microwave. All of it. Forgot my toothbrush, no problem, front desk was happy to help me out. And the breakfast is not your normal hotel make your own. They had really nice bfast sammies, cage free eggs, omlettes, and then all the normal stuff too. Really nice area. Safe, clean. Great experience and will definitely be back!
For a Marriott this is a dated hotel that seems like a converted apartment complex.Services are limited and there is no restaurant on site.
Very close to Bishop Ranch, a great shopping and eating place to hang out. The rooms were very nice here. Guest services were a little less personable then many of the Marriotts Ive stayed at.
I wish I could 5 star it because of the value and location but there is wayyyyy too much noise and the walls/doors are paper thin. It was hard for me to sleep. Theres a massive construction project next door with constant beeping and engines and tools and hammers. Id stay here again without hesitation but want to be far away from construction and the roads.
Stayed for 2 nights while visiting my son for his birthday. The lobby was clean and front staff was helpful. My room was nice and spacey. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only thing I would have liked a bit more was warm cookies WITHOUT walnuts.....! Otherwise a very nice stay.
Like many hotels, the rooms were cleaned only once a day. No frills breakfast is offered daily, but the rooms have a well furnished kitchen so one could skip Breakfast. Its also very close - walking distance - to several restaurants which makes it easy to grab a meal.
Room (suite) was clean and had pretty much everything you could ask for. The kitchen was well equipped, though I was only there for 2 nights and had no need to use it. The bed was comfortable; the shower had water pressure, which was nice; the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were good; the view of the walking trail was nice... Id definitely stay there again. The Lamborghini Aventador was getting fueled at the gas station next door. It got 9mpg, surfing to the driver! I heard the engine screaming for about a mile as he drove.
Well the parking stalls are very small, hard to find a spot near your unit even though they charge $10.per night. breakfast was horrible 🤮, takes an hour for the hot water kick in, rooms are very small as well. Everytime i step outside felt like i was being watched, not to mention i got a smoking complaint for smoking a cigarette outside 🤯, got another complaint for my dog enjoying himself and was disrespectfully asked if i was playingg basketball and was told my neighbors were trying to sleep.. IT WAS 8:00 PM!!!got asking if I was playing basketball in my room at 8 o clock at night, I felt disrespected . Hey‼️ to each it own 🤷🏾♂️ it was a horrible stay for me .
PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST!! Their desk staffs need to go to some hospitality school to learn even the basics of behaving with guests. I had a nightmare staying here. They made me pay in cash as their outdated financial system wont allow them to accept any of my cards. I started paying them in cash on a weekly basis but half of their staff kept saying they dont know how to accept cash payment. They even messed up an easy request like booking a taxi to the airport. There are some 7-8 of the desk staff and there is no way of communicating b/w them. So I talk to a different person everytime and I have to narrate the whole story from scratch every time. BUNCH OF JOKERS!!!! A blot on Marriotts brand which I wouldnt take seriously at all after this experience. Wish there was a way to give negative stars. They deserve that and worse than that. You guys need some serious overhaul.
Pleasant hotel. Very quiet. The 2 bedroom is the only suite with a full kitchen. The outdoor swimming pool is heated, and the spa is hot!
Ive had two prolonged stays for business trips. Each time was a wonderful experience with excellent staff that pays great attention to their guests, making sure everything is tip top. I really enjoyed spacious, clean rooms that left nothing to be wished for. Couldnt really ask for a better location. On top of a swimming pool, jacuzzi and small on-site gym, you can also access the gym across the street for a more comprehensive workout. Not to mention barbecue Tuesdays and other events. 5 stars are more than deserved! Would I recommend this place? You bet.
Checked in at this hotel, the service was exceptional. I am particularly impressed with Sheila with a smile on her face, she have been spectacular staging the breakfast service, and very well organized. I would like to visit your hotel again for this outstanding experience.
This is a fairly recent build of a typical suburban Residence Inn property.The location is wonderful, convenient to freeway access by car, and adjacent to a very nice shopping complex on foot.The staff is uniformly accommodating and welcoming, adding the icing on the cake to what makes this a great choice for your accommodations.
Way better places out there - no idea how they have anything above 2 star reviews. $150 pet fee that they do not disclose at booking. Employees are inept and cannot resolve the smallest of problems. The place was dirty. $10 parking charge. Simply a terrible place to stay. No where near the standards of Marriot. The entire experience was terrible from customer service to cleanliness to lack of managers. It took three days and multiple phone calls to get a manager on the phone.
Excellent hotel. The room is is very nice and comfortable and all rooms have a full kitchen minus an oven. My only issue is that the room didnt have an oven even though the picture on the website shows an oven. That is why I am giving it four stars instead if five. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful especially the gentleman that helped us light the fire pit that is outside. It was 36 degrees outside and the fire pit was much needed so we could relax and smoke our cigars without freezing our butts off. It took him about 20 minutes to get it going but he did and we were all extremely grateful. I only wish I could remember his name because he deserves a personal shout out for his hospitality.
Unplanned Tetanus shot with your stay? The staff is polite, the place is well maintained, and clean but the reason for the 1 star is that I stepped on a rusted carpeting nail when going to the restroom at night. As you can imagine that was the end of my sleep and now have to plan getting a booster shot when I fly back home.
This location is next to a shopping center and is one of the older Residence Inns, with outdoor access to your unit. The inside was updated, clean and more than adequate to meet my needs. The complimentary breakfast (in main clubhouse-so you have to walk outside to get to it) was better than average for Residence Inn. When I arrived, a sign at the front desk announcing a $10 charge for parking (it said complimentary parking when I booked a few months ago) so I complained and they removed it. It was implemented October 1, 2018. Why they would need a parking charge in a suburban area is beyond me. However, the stay went well and I would definitely return, expect for the added parking fee.
Love this place - great breakfast and room layout. Perfect location for me. They are still only doing room service once every 7 days but should be changing that to 3 shortly. My go to for staying near work here.
Nice cozy family friendly place. With all the amenities. Friendly stuff. Shops and restaurants nearby. We enjoyed the place, except breakfast, which was great but we were bored with the same food every day for 40 days 😊
Stayed here for two separate six week periods for work, and these guys were great. We honestly were not that respectful as guests, but we were always treated fairly and with respect. Thank you Residence Inn San Ramon for dealing with us. Clean, comfortable, and homey environment with great staff
This place is actually really nice. Ive stayed here a few times and as a Marriott platinum lifetime member, I know the brand well. Its a typical Residents Inn. The staff is very friendly. Its clean and has almost every that I need.I give it one star for a single reason. The parking here is HORRIBLE. If you return to the hotel after 7pm, expect to have to hike from where you had to park to your room. You should also feel lucky if youre able to find a parking spot thats actually within the campus.
The 2-br suite was nice and worked out well enough for 3 stars. Reception and staff were friendly and helpful. Two of the three TVs didnt work, and you can hear plumbing works through the walls. I thought my neighbor took a 4-hour shower! The breakfast was ok. I liked the convenient location which was helpful with my needs at that time.
This is a nice place with a friendly staff. It has been recently remodeled but does not have many kitchen utensils. Rooms are spacious, and it is dog friendly with large patch of green to walk them around. Many restaurants in walking distance that are affordable and not fast good.
Im a fan of the Residence Inn/Marriott brand in general, and I had another good experience w/ the San Ramon location. The staff was super attentive, patient, and accomodating. Thanks to that flu thing, not much to say for breakfast (ask n go) which was not a big deal to me. The only complaint from me, is not the hotels fault- the staff cant do much about inconsiderate, arrogant and ignorant fellow guests. Slamming doors, stomping around (from room above), noisy, etc. Typical Americans in hotels. Couple of things to note: the $10/day parking which isnt noted on the website and was a surprise to me upon arrival, never saw this before in the US. Also the parking spaces are TIGHT (but again, if people could follow the rules and be considerate of others...wouldnt be such a problem). Just be prepared and patient. But easy walk to stores, food, access to hiway, gas, etc.
This will in all likelihood be my “go to” stopping point whenever I’m traveling to or from the races in Bakersfield. My room is spacious, has an insanely comfortable bed (appreciated by my ever-aching back !) and an abundance of towels. Appliances include a full-size fridge, dishwasher (Marriott supplies pots and pans, utensils, china, glasses and cutlery) a two-ring convection cooktop and a decent sink for clean-up. The “Marketplace” just across the road includes Nob Hill Foods, a CVS, great restaurants (including Thai, Indian and Chinese/Asian options....and the ubiquitous Round Table pizzeria), Cold Stone for desserts, with Whole Foods, Target and still more places to eat/drink within a mile. Staff & support crew at the Marriott site are friendly and go out of their way to provides assistance when needed; the site is litter-free and obviously well maintained. Comfortable rooms and a quiet overall environment earn this site five stars.

Nice environment with pool and basketball court. Room amenities are good with a kitchen and microwave. No lift to the 2nd floor units so if you have a luggage will need to carry it up. limited toiletries available.
Room was dusting. Windows dirty.Had to get dishes out of dishwasher. I cant bend over.They had absolutely No fresh brewed hot coffee.and real cream .I have stayed at several places in past year. And this was the first of poor service and severe lack of a breakfast.Not again will I stay there.
Great hotel! Feeling like home. Most of the employees are super nice like Manuel or the new Mohammad. The General manager is super nice too.If all of them were like the 3, they would get a 5 from me.One negative thing, I called them upfront because I wanted to get a room in the main building and they couldn’t give me a confirmation, could only write a comment to my reservation.... I think every hotel can make it happen, if you ask them early enough. That was a bit inflexible
Nice and big spacious rooms with a full kitchen and counter top seating. There is also a couch area with coffee table, great for having guests over. Great accessibility to Nob Hill Foods across the street if you want to pick up something to cook.
Location is good, convenient to food, gas and freeway. Property is desperate for updating to the Marriott standard. Popcorn ceilings that retain odors, tiny bathroom and poor linens should be replaced!
Everything about this hotel is great. The TV had accessible HDMI and input buttons that worked, the Internet was really fast (40meg up/down), and the location was great. Two amazing sushi restaurants within 3-5 min walk. Hotel had happy hour from 6-8 with free beer.Basically, this hotel was excellent. Will def. stay here again. Best Hotel I have stayed at in awhile.
Whatever you do, avoid doing business with these criminals. I wish I could give them negative stars. My brother warned me about Marriott. Dear God I wish I had listened. Under no circumstances will I ever lay my head, or pay for anyone else to lay theirs on one of there pillows ever again. This entity sees absolutely no problem with reserving four thousand dollars on your credit card for a bill less than half that amount. They think it is perfectly acceptable to hold funds indiscriminately with no logic, or reason. Press them on their hyper-aggressive practices and they say its their system over which they have no control. I dont believe that for a nano-second. Save yourself the heartache and stress and simply choose another place to get a decent nights sleep.
Would highly recommend! The studios are spacious, clean, well-maintained, and well-equipped. It feels more like an apartment complex than a hotel. The outdoor common space is great as well, especially the firepit and bbq area. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
This hotel is the absolute best!! If I could give more stars,I would :)The rooms are very clean and if your staying for an extended amount of time they have everything you need to live comfortably.kitchen, stove, dishwasher. The location is very convenient, I barely have to drive lol theres a grocery store across the street less than 4min walking distance, bank across street atm machine, Valero next door . My FAVORITE about this hotel is the staff ..they are very friendly, polite, welcoming and they are always in a good mood ..never have I seen any of the people that work here be rude ..that to me, is the most important part of a hotel experience.I look forward to coming to the front desk to say hi and get my keys (I’ve been to places where I dreaded going to the desk due to rude staff😩)).these amazing people go above and beyond in my opinion .for example, today they were filling up quickly and close to being sold out, well I am living here and in between spots at the moment, so I’ve been here for a few weeks now, they are so thoughtful and considerate that they remembered to call me and let me know they were getting booked up and kindly asked if I planned on staying again …which I am so thankful for, because literally, I barely made it ! I got last room :)if they wouldn’t have been so thoughtful as to call I would’ve had to pack ALL my stuff and my dog and find somewhere else to stay in this heat !! That is not their job to do sweet things like that .that to me speaks volumes on how much they truly care about their guests staying here 😊🖤🖤Those things go a long way with me and it’s those gestures that stick out to me the most :) not even one time, has any of the front desk staff ever been anything but very pleasant with an amazing attitude every time . Not one person has ever had even close to a bad attitude the whole time I’ve been here every single hotel staff has been so so good to me, thank you guys so much I genuinely appreciate each and every one of you guys !!! This is the worst Marriot I have ever stayed at (Marriot is my preferred hotel chain for traveling). The customer service is abysmal. You cannot get a hold of a manager. They tack on a buncha extra fees that they dont disclose - $150 pet fee - $10 parking fee etc. This entire operation needs major adjusting including transparency in pricing and competent staff.
Nice room but the bed was sunk way down in middle. Still enjoyed it very much. Didnt like paying 10dollars per night to park our car which added thirty bucks more to the bottom line
Update 03/2022 - miserable. Popcorn ceilings from 90s. Lobby is the only upgraded area. Wi-Fi that cant stream Netflix. Power plugs cant work from work desk to bed. Oh do unplug the analog clock and plug into wall for juice. I stepped back into 90s. If it werent for walking distance to work I wouldnt stay here.
Phenomenal hotel. Very patient and caring staff, serving all needs. Exemplary turn down service, and great facilities. All of our needs were met, and the afternoon complimentary drinks/snacks are a great bonus! Amazing location and wonderful points scheme to redeem for benefits. Thanks marriot!
The hotel staff was very attentive and quick with our restocking breakfast items. The hotel room was spacious and comfortable which felt like an apartment. The breakfast was delicious and the selection was just perfect!

I was in the hotel just for 4 days while I was in some meetings related with work. The location of the hotel is good as is near to an aérea where you have restaurants and places to buy food or other stuff. The rooms are quite old, the TV of the room is an old plasma ( almost impossible to do a zapping between channels). Breakfast area was poor, they dont offer as other hotels an area where they can prepare an omelette or different types of eggs. Service at the front desk was good.
Incredible Accomodation. Had to stay here on business and was really impressed by both the accomodation quality and attentiveness of staff. Rooms are very good size, nearby amenities are more than sufficient and customer service is A+. Would recommend!
The suite rooms are considerably larger than a standard hotel room and include a well-equipped kitchen and a small living room area with a couch and TV. The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, etc. My room had a queen bed plus a pull-out bed/sofa hybrid. A buffet style hot breakfast is included with the room. The only disappointment was that the fitness room is tiny- only three cardio machines and some fitness balls.
I gave it 5 stars for its location and room value. Convenient to San Francisco if you want to enjoy the sights of the city but retreat to quieter surroundings for the night. There is a hiking trail nearby as well as Whole Foods if you are staying for a few days.
Zero stars. Absolutely no hospitality skills. Double charged at check out processed to make them aware so they can reverse the extra charges, u would think that would be simple enough but instead they refused and re-directed me to hotel manager who isnt there till the next business day. Its bad enough this is an older runned down hotel at the very least management can do is properly train there front desk personnel. Poor service this hotel shouldnt be in business
So Where do I begin? The rooms as always are nice, its quiet, and for the most part customer service,including housekeeping who always have smiles on their faces and ready to help with anything that can or will find someone who can. They will pickup and drop off in their van when you need or want a ride in the area at a moments notice. Some small toiletries and food, pricey but its there. I experienced 2 guest relations that were very eager to please, 1 that could not come up with a solution to me being locked out of my room at 4am until 10am. Not my fault btw! I came up with more solutions than him and he refused them all. Then had the nerve to ask me if I was ok because I was freezing,shaking,and nose running. I was wearing shorts and a t shirt, expecting to be right back. Solutions: hmmm... idk put me in another room for a few hours, or get maybe let me eat breakfast which was out but wouldnt let me touch until official time of breakfast. Turn on the fireplace? Call maintenance? All this after a 3 night $850 bill, which I was overcharged $250. And as the cards kept getting swiped, I dont know why, they had all my info. At check-in. I am a rewards member, but then due to suspicious activity 2 of my cards were locked, one of which was closed because of the forced charged they pushed thru. Then charged the other the same bill. So that card was maxed or close to it. I was informed all would be situated by the end of the day. This has now been over a week. Back to my point, he at least was trying, I could hear and see the shadow of the manager hiding behind a column talking mess, and telling him just get him out of here as if I was the problem. I have been coming here and referring friends and family for over 20 years. But hey the rooms are nice. Oh and the construction in main lobby and parking lot in front of my room was not relaxing. A heads up would habe been nice.
This place is perfect for a family! Separate bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, and separate living area. It could use some updates and the parking spots are ridiculously tiny but its definitely worth the price to stay here instead of San Fran.

The rooms were very clean and nice. Id only advice for a longer breakfast stretch. However the employees were very patient and kind. Enjoyed the stay!

My first night the room was made to look clean but when I peeled back the bed sheets there was body/pubic hairs. I went to the second bed found lipstick on the pillow go back to the first bed and peeled the sheets back and found some underwear. Hotel nor Marriott didnt compensate.
Its in the most magical part of san ramon, whether its dinner and a movie at across the road, or early bird grocery shopping the nob hill next door, or last but not least shredding the skate park, theres a quietness in the air, an almost familiar smell like that of pine trees or the ocean. It tickles your stomach and straightens the hair on your neck, the very essence of diablo valley fever...
Ive traveled extensively for 9 years with the same company. After a while I stopped carrying a company ID that is used for the sole purpose of being asked for it once over those 9 years and only by a Marriott property in Green Ohio.....then I met the punisher. He was having no part of my platinum premier elite lifetime status. He wanted hard core proof of employment. Finally after 5 minutes of him hemming and hawing I just said ok, Ill just find a different place to stay. Went on the mobile app and checked in at the Marriott across the street.
Older building but well cared for. However you might want to avoid staying the GM was less than honest about their rates and charging 10 a day for parking makes the room even more expensive.
Nice luxurious rooms that are partition very well. Each room is a bit small but that may be due to the large furniture. It feels cozy

Hotel is good, the rooms are very comfortable, it has everything to be comfortable and enjoy the days, the rooms have kitchens. Daily housekeeping service, has a pool and gym, delicious breakfast in the mornings. Central area, several shops and food establishments, fitness gym one block away.
Spacious apartments with kitchenette, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster, ironing board and iron, TV, high-speed Wi-Fi. Coin operated laundry available. Quiet neighborhood, close to Nob Hill grocery supermarket, fitness center, pharmacy, restaurants.
It is very good, I think it was recently remodeled because everything looks new, also the rooms are very spacious and the kitchen has enough kitchen items to prepare the basics, the staff is friendly, the rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable and in front there is a square with food outlets and a supermarket, and other shops, on the corner there is a gas station and it is close to the freeway

2024-06-20 22:03:16The room is big and equipped you have big fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and bed sofa. But, the service is below expectations i stayed a month and my room only cleaned 3 times and I have to ask for the housekeeping to clean it. They only clean the room once a week and provide fresh towels every two days.I like the hotel and facilities, unfortunately the services must be better as you find better hotel with this rates $200+ per night. Also, the parking is not free.

2024-03-21 11:53:16Regret.... WOW. I booked this room on a whim. I live in San Francisco and just needed to clear my mind so I drove up to San Ramon looking for a last minute stay. I should have believed Manuel when he made a face after asking if the rooms were nice. I walked into my room and it smelled stale like no one had been here in months. It was dingy and very out dated looking. I keep my own supplies - so that would have been ok if that were the end of the issues. The room was dirty, un- managed and 300.00 a night. The sheets has a yellow stain, the table had a sticky stain, the toilet broke twice in two days (didnt flush properly when I arrived) the dishes dirty and no dish soap or sponge which is supposed to be included with a kitchenette. Every-time i called to the front I was matched with an excuse about it being late or short staffed. Once I was told an engineer would be sent over to fix the toilet only to have this older women with a plunger splash toilet water all over the place. Ladies, I had to do my makeup in the car ( no full body or up close mirror). For 900.00 for 3 stays I expected better than motel 6 quality. No house keeping, horrible service, will not return and will be reporting for sanitary concerns. Lastly, I have AT&T on one phone and Verizon on another there is no cellular service. Thats okay except the wifi here is horrible with no option to upgrade. Just please stay somewhere elseeeeee.

2023-12-18 16:49:14Very meh. Had a ground floor room and felt like I was in a fish bowl. The bathroom door wouldnt stay open, the room wasnt very cozy, there was a smell when I walked in, and it all felt old. I had to keep the TV on all night to feel like I wasnt sleeping in the parking lot. It was a very big studio with a full kitchen, so I appreciated having the fridge and freezer.

2023-09-17 10:47:03Hi, Im from Indonesia. 28 years ago I attended training at Chevron and stayed here for 5 weeks. Staying here is very comfortable and fun. Breakfast is provided, and every afternoon there is outdoor hospitality next to the front office. Opposite the hotel there is a bank, super market and Chinese restaurant. The atmosphere is truly unforgettable. One day, if God allows me, I will stay here again to remember the past.

2022-11-19 17:24:55I could not have been more satisfied and impressed with this hotel. I stayed here for approximately three months for a contract job and Laura and Manuel and their staff truly made it feel like home. I had a full sized kitchen and cozy living room. It really felt like I had my own studio apartment! They went above and beyond and made accommodations for me and my cat while staying there. Everything was always very clean and well cared for. My room was cleaned to perfection every week and everyone at the front desk was so kind. Loved having laundry room on site. Would recommend staying here to anyone.

2023-07-01 20:05:32Clean rooms, good water pressure, comfy beds (as of June 2023), friendly & helpful staff, free WiFi, free breakfast. All the things we look for in a good hotel. You do have to pay for parking, something I wish they would just include in the price of the room. We will definitely be back and absolutely recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
