Tasty China in Ventura

I was underwhelmed after reading the reviews then eating here. Overall experience was average. Their menu selection is good. They have lots of buns and dumplings. The selection out performs the experience. They are affordable.

Easily the best Chinese food in Ventura. There’s no contest. My favorites - the dry sautéed string beans (spicy), the eggplant (spicy), the family-style tofu, the green onion pancakes, and the veggie egg rolls. Plus, the staff is super helpful and kind, and always seem like they want their customers to enjoy! It took me only one week to come back for my second taste.

Been dreaming about the fish tofu and an opportunity popped up, promo from Postmates! Ordered delivery, got the fish tofu of course, Dan Dan noodles and pork buns. Their version of the noodle is incredible - it has the same sauce as the tofu fish. For some reason the flavors are elevated, I couldnt stop eating them! The fish tofu is amazing as I remembered it, but the pork buns felt amiss, overall still a great value even with delivery since its quite a distance from where I live....Found this place through DoorDash and so glad it lived up to its name! Ordered fish with tofu - just opening up the container, I could already tell its good, the aroma of all the spices just make your mouth water in anticipation! They were very generous with the portion, actually gave me 1 quart and a half and they included rice without asking and at no extra charge!! These days its a rarity and that is so much appreciated. Tofu was silky and fish was amazing, combined these and the sauce with rice - its heaven with a slight tingle from the Sichuan peppers! Will definitely be back to try more!

We just discovered this place although its obvious theyve been around for quite some time. FANTASTIC food with extremely kind and quick service. Weve come back several times now because WE CRAVE TASTY CHINA!!

Ordered via phone, excellent customer service. Food was ready within the estimated time and although they had a long takeout line, we were helped out quickly and courteously.Their prices are reasonable and 90% of our meal was great! Would not recommend the xiao long bao. All other dishes were fantastic.UPDATE: Fortune cookie was just a sports betting ad. LAME!

I found some hard to find Asian dishes here that I havent seen in a long time. I loved the spicy beef, onion pancake with beef and the dumplings! The pork fried rice and orange chicken were kinda weak. Im going back for those dumplings and next time I want to try their soup. The prices were kinda high but the flavors and menu variety was awesome.

Food was ok, they need to hire another waitress, poor women was up and down, the people who cook had to come out to give the plates out, the noodle were a little salty for my taste.

This is the most tasty Chinese restaurant I have ever been to in the U.S.!!! The Xiaolong Bao, Dan Dan noodle, KungPao Shrimp, and pig feet are sooooo good! Especially the pig feet!!!

Absolutely loved the food and the service. The noodles were some of the best Ive ever had. We had several items and they all tasted amazing. The also give great portions and at a great price. One of my favorite sides was the ribs, they were fall off the bone and sweet. If you are In the area definitely check Tasty china out 😁

Pleasantly surprised to find a good value and authentic Chinese food in Ventura. Visiting the area for 2 weeks and dined at the restaurant 3 times. Xiao Long Bao is great. Huge portion for all meals. Modest decor and friendly service.
