Awesome food and service!Hands down the best dish here is the steamed scallops with vermicelli. Theyre very well priced and taste like a $30 appetizer from a high end restaurant. I truly cant recommend this place enough. I dont want to leave out mentioning all their other dishes Ive tried, everything from the congees, to the fried rices and tofu dishes are all of great quality. But hands down, order that scallop you can thank me later.For dessert get an order of the HK egg waffles, Ive had these all over the world, HK included of course and this place ranks among the best. The batter they mix is perfectly proportioned. Not too sweet with perfect amount of crunch and a soft yummy center.Oh and the staff are super friendly, a whole lot better than many other Chinese restaurants Ive been too! This place is a new regular stop for me, for sure!

This Chinese restaurant is one of our favorite that we will go monthly. We like their beef noodle soup and Dan Dan noodle. Our kids like popsticks, spring rolls and wonton soup. Clean and family friendly. The server is very polite and food come up quickly.

This review was 4months ago-Good food and service.12/23/2019As of this date I have a change of mind. Ive been coming here for about 4 years and never saw what I saw today. A male worker from the kitchen walked over to the restroom and took back with him a plunger around closing time. The restrooms plunger shouldnt leave the restroom at anytime, especially when customers are around. If they need to unclog the kitchen sink there should be one in the kitchen and shouldnt leave that area either. One of the workers told me who the owner was so I called her the next day, of course she said that the kitchen and restroom have their own plungers. I said if thats true theres no reason to even bring out the plunger from one place to another for sanitary reasons. She just said sorry, Ill let them know. You make your own decision about this place. Too bad I have to choose a star to post otherwise my star would be negative.

I'd give service 6 stars if I could. I initially intended to get a bowl, but once I walked in that immediately became a 2 side combo. And then, just as I was finishing my order, they brought out this glorious steaming pan of spicy crispy chicken wings…so I added a side. The portions were great, if my family didn't have such big backs I'm sure this could've lasted me a whole day and a half. People were so nice and the two ladies were so patient and sweet and kind; hence the 6-no, 10-stars if it were possible. Chow mein or lo mein to be accurate was very well flavored with good texture. Orange chicken is good but not identical to panda express. If something says crispy, it means crispy, and will magically stay crispy the ride back. In fact, I was so distracted by the crispiness of the chicken that I couldn't find the freeway entrance for a while. Also, the Thai tea was sweet and creamy and just a really solid drink all around. So 10/10, will be making the drive over again instead of going to the much closer Panda Express!!

Cashier girl had a really bad attitude when we ordered food. Very impatient as we were asking questions about the menu. We asked if they had small orders, and she just raised her voice and said no, that it was only side orders for combo meals. We then said that we may order the vegetable chowmein but we werent sure, but then we finally decided that we wanted one beef chowmein order for my little brother. She rolled my eyes at my mom and said that she already put the order in the kitchen and screamed at the kitchen to cancel the order and make a beef one instead. This made my mom feel awful and uncomfortable, but the man in the kitchen came out with a big smile and reassured my mom that hell make the chowmein nice and fresh. This was the only reason why my mom even considered waiting and paying for the meal. When it was done, the same man came out with a big smile and gave us the order and was very detailed on the condiments he was giving us. The service was overall bad, and I dont know if the girl was just impatient because English isnt my moms first language, but its good enough to make a small order. The service and experience Is a one star, as my mom didnt need to be screamed at or given an attitude for making an order and asking questions. The man from the kitchen was kind and the food is good so I would give him 4 or 5 star. But sadly, the bad experience outweighed the good in this situation. As this visit made us lose our appetites and never want to come again.

Walked in and the restaurant was dirty, but I got my food immediately so fortunately I didnt have to spent too much time inside.I got home and I was excited to get stuck into the macaroni salad. When I took a bite however, I couldnt taste much of anything aside from bland macaroni. What the macaroni lacked in flavor it made up for in mayonnaise. The macaroni was swimming in mayo, needless to say I was disappointed. I tried the rice to cleanse my palate but what I got instead was a mouthful of uninspired dry rice. The chicken katsu wasnt particularly good either but at least there was a lot of it.In the end, the food I decided to eat made me full, but not the kind of good full where you feel like you renewed and refreshed. Rather, I felt the kind of full that makes you reevaluate the decisions you made in your life that got you to the point where you are now; hot, uncomfortable and writing a review of a cheap Hawaiian bbq spot in your kitchen.tl;dr: This is basically the Little Cesars of Hawaiian BBQ; It is hot and ready.

The most important thing for those with allergies is that it is nut free. No peanuts in their Kung Pao chicken and she said no nuts in anything so no possibility for cross contamination. The almond cookies of course have an almond in them but they are individually packaged and not in the cooking area. They use soy oil. They don't use MSG.SERVICE: Ling was incredibly helpful answering my questions and figuring out what would work for me.VIBE: The place, while not beautifully decorated is extremely clean.FOOD: The food was really good. Of course taste is subjective - I grew up with proper Chinese food and this is proper.QUALITY: excellent and fresh no browning on the veggies.PORTIONS: Huge - one 2 item combo was enough for 2 people who eat healthy size portions. I could only eat half.BONUS: Bilingual - Spanish didn't seem to be an issue.PRICES: Average. $9-13 for combos, $6 for soup, $1 for an egg roll.Highly recommend not because it's the #1 Chinese food place but the overall experience qualifies as 5 star in my book.

Came here for some Chinese take-out during lunch hours. There is a dine-in option where patrons can take advantage of a 9.99 Lunch Buffet and seating is outside. You are required to wear provided gloves and masks when grabbing what you want to eat inside of the restaurant but can obviously take it off when you start to eat.I opted to still get my take-out upon seeing this and went ahead and got a three-combo meal with Steamed Fish, Green Beans, and Pepper Chicken which were all fantastic. They also have a Seafood combo meal as well as a per pound option for take out as well.The only reason I docked this review down by a star was because of the misleading Take-out: 4.99 sign they have outside as well as the Steamed Fish being not as good as it was before for me. The experiencing was also a little confusing as well. I will definitely come back but with a phone order just to avoid the confusion with the employees.I have come here before pre-COVID and loved the food and experience. I am still glad they are open and serving customers as they are a local staple to the BP community. I cant wait to come back when COVID has died down a bit to make it safer to dine-in at restaurants.

I went in yesterday 2/20/2024 I havent been here for quite sometime but I definitely will never ever return or bring my business to this Chinese food place the young Asian man who was working was horrible we ordered five combos and from beginning of the order he was so rude, pretty much yelled at my mom to hurry up and continued to rush us there were no signs showing the food choices and when I asked about just one he seemed so bothered there was no other customers waiting so I didnt understand his rush and complete disrespect for us as customers especially when I really really kept my cool my mom was not feeling well and I didnt want to make her nervous, also the poor older lady working with him she looked like he bossed her too I hope she was not his mother all together vibe was bad and forgets the food its lost all its freshness and was very disappointed I wonder if owners have changed because the customer service is lower then low I would give it no star at all, and would definitely suggest to anyone who doesnt want to have there day ruined stay clear of this Chinese food place in the same parking lot of El super in Baldwin ParkOff of Ramona Blvd..Also my mom ordered the fish and they gave her potatoe, wth .....This visit was horrible all the way around, service, food andAngry angry man serving, speaking in another language in front of our facesI was very surprised at his behavior .
