Best Chinese food I have found so far in Newport Beach. The restaurant offers authentic Chinese food in a no frills atmosphere. The food is fresh, not greasy, the portions are generous, all at a reasonable price. If you like San Francisco Bay Area Chinese food, you will certainly enjoy the food here.

Gone are the days when P F Changs had good Chinese food! Now, lunch for 2 cost about 80 dollars with tip and the food is mediocre at best. The Mongolian Beef was not fresh or tender, the shrimp with lobster sauce was unrecognizable and the famous chicken wraps very salty, to disguise the lack of freshness. The saving grace was the dessert which was good, the service and the pleasant decor. But who goes to a Chinese restaurant for the dessert? Not us... next time, well go to Irvine...

Hands down the worst panda express ever. How does corporate never see these reviews or do anything? They are ALWAYS out of 3 or more items, sit on their phone for a couple minutes before helping you, and are generally annoyed by your presence. Probably time I call corporate with all my free time.

When PS first opened it was great it actually had Asians preparing Chinese food, now it is prepared Hispanically. The interesting thing is that the food all tastes exactly the same wherever you get it or who ever prepares it, just like a bowl of Ramen! PS was bought out by a big corporation several years ago, since then they 1- upped their prices, 2- reduced the portion sizes, 3- stopped sending promotions to loyal customers and 4- decided that Customer Service went from the Customer to them along with the Customers money. I used to go there 3 times a week, every week. We laughed about needing a PS fix. Now I dont go there at all. Try Shanghai Pine Gardens on Balboa Island. Bigger portions, lower prices and traditional Chinese food.

I ordered my usual, Vegetarian Fried Rice at this Pick Up Stix to go. I also asked the gentleman to make sure they use a clean wok. There was no one else at the restaurant. However, it took him a good five plus minutes to share the order with the cook (I think the cook was somewhere in the back.) And another ten minutes for the preparation. I was just happy that they made fresh Veggie Fried Rice that I really enjoyed. The place is clean and comfortable! I will be stopping by at this restaurant in the future.
