Came here on a Friday night around 8pm. Good vibes but not overly crowded. Host and waitstaff were very friendly and helpful.To start, we got winter salad (5/5) and chili corn chowder (5/5). Both were delicious! I enjoyed the beets and candied pecans in the salad and it was a generous portion as well. Hubby loved the corn chowder! It had coconut milk and hint of sweetness but not overpowering. For mains, I got chicken under a brick (4/5) and him linguine carbonara (5/5). We both loved his pasta it was so creamy and hearty. There were some peas and lemon zest to counter the richness of the dish as well. I enjoyed the chicken dish except the chicken was a bit dry and under seasoned but the mashed potatoes underneath was amazing and I couldn’t stop eating it.Drinks hubby got uncle nearest peach lemonade and I got Hendricks basil smash. I liked mine very light and refreshing which is what I wanted. He enjoyed his too but thought it was a bit too sweet for his liking.Overall we enjoyed everything here and would definitely come back if we fine ourselves in PS again!

I decided to try this place because it was relatively close to my hotel. As you walk in, the atmosphere is nice. There seemed to be a lot of people so my expectations were higher than normal. I ordered the tequila tiger shrimp to start and it was a rough start to say the least. The shrimp was over cooked so the texture was rubbery and there was simply no flavor to the shrimp. The trend continued with our main dishes as well. I had the Kobe short rib and it was basically a slab of meat with an overwhelming amount of sauce poured on top. You would think for a $40 plate you’d get something decent. This was also one of the most popular dishes according to our server. Overall it was just a bellow average experience. Our server didn’t really check on us. It got so bad that I had to ask someone else for the check. If you’re in the area I would suggest you try a different restaurant.

This is a great place to visit if youre living close to Downtown Palm Springs. The place has a very nice vibe, is super clean and really well decorated.They have a wide range of beer, wine, cocktails & American food to pick from. We ordered 4 cocktails (which were all great BTW) and some onion rings and the check was around $80.

Ive been waiting a while to check out 1501 Gastropub. This place has a great atmosphere and service. The menu is fairly limited but all the food sounds delicious.I was seriously craving a burger, so thats what I ordered. The fries were delicious and so was the burger. I ordered the burger medium. With all the toppings it was very good. I was somewhat disappointed with the meat patty. Id pay a few extra dollars for a good, thicker, juicy beef patty.Overall the experience was great and I look forward to returning and trying out the other items on the menu.I loved the variety of beers, including some good European ones.

Loved this place! We went here twice during our stay in Palm Springs, once for lunch and once for cocktails. For lunch I had the seared ahi tuna salad which I highly recommend! Great taste, absolutely delicious. My partner ordered the avocado toast with bacon which was also nice but he was jealous of my salad ;). The next evening we ordered the lemon drop and uptown cocktail which were great. Lovely atmosphere and service!

Delicious evening meal tonight for our Thanksgiving in Palm Springs. We got a few of the Happy Hour items, and recommend that yummy pretzel 🥨, big enough for two! We got the shortrib and the shepherds pie for our main plates. The rib was buttery soft. Yummy! Husband loved his shepherds pie but wished there had been more peas. Lavender creme brulee was wonderfully and slightly floral, which hubs did not like, but I did! We both enjoyed the berry crumble, tho, and hubs said it was the best he had in a while. Heavier on the berries and compote than on the crumble though. Got pretty melty w the ice cream, bur was very tasty! Definitely coming back!

Very nice place for friends/ family gathering. We were there for a late lunch during weekdays and the place was not that busy. The staff were super nice and offered many helpful suggestions. We tried several different types of sandwiches and burgers. Too bad it was too early for nice drinks since their menu showed a great variety of interesting drinks. The portions were big and side dishes were topnotch! One of the best restaurants in PS area!

The quality of this place is amazing. The food, the service, and the prices. Its not too expensive, and the food you get for that price will almost always be delicious. The service wait was at a comfortable speed, they didnt ever rush us or make us wait. The only reason I gave 4 stars to the food is because one dish we got - vegan shepherds pie - didnt taste that good. Also, there isnt much variety in meatless options. If you dont eat red meat, there are very few options, and if you dont eat any meat, there are only 3 or so. However, the other food was really good and cooked perfectly. I had the Seared Ahi Tuna salad, and the fish wasnt too raw or too stiff - in other words, it was cooked perfectly. I really recommend the Seasonal Berry/fruit crumble. It had great texture and temperature and it tasted immaculate. Surprisingly, that one dessert served 4 people. I could have eaten more of it though, it was so good.This place is very nice. We came on one of the coldest and most windy days of the year and sat outside. The seating outside blocked the wind very well, we forgot what the weather was like in the parking lot and the rest of Palm springs. They had the fire lamps to warm us up too.

Overall great food and service!! Recommend ordering the chicken and short rib, very flavorful. Pretzel was tasty but the dipping sauces disappointed. I could have gone without the Heinz mustard and $6 cheese dip. A variety of cocktails and mock tails. Service was really quick, almost too quick, food came out almost 5 min after ordering. Beautiful view of the mountains and very nice open air restaurant. Recommended checking it out!

Stopped in for Lunch. I had the Cubano sandwich and my husband had the 1501 Burger. Both were delicious but were better with some additional Mayo. The fries were crispy and excellent. Overall a great lunch.Back for Sunday breakfast...I had the smoked salmon/trout plate and my husband had the eggs Benedict. Both were excellent! We loved 1501 uptown. Its a place that opened in 2020 and survived the pandemic. The food was delicious, and our charcuterie board well curated.I was especially happy since they offered Weihenstephan Hefeweizen from Germany, a highly recommended clean beer!I will definitely come back

Had a fantastic dinner here with my group of girlfriends. Francis, our waitress was really fun, informative & friendly. She helped us picked the most popular dishes and they were all fabulous! We order a lot of dishes to share so we can sample everything. Portions are good and seasoned perfectly. My friends gushes over the melon soup, melt in your mouth pork shoulders & short ribs. I personally liked the refreshing burrata strawberry salad & date salad. The highlight is definitely the very light & fresh fish & chips. Francis said their fish is flown in daily, they dont use frozen fish. The chips are sliced thinly so its extra crispy. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like trendy tasty food.

Loved the atmosphere! If you want to sit outside, you can get fresh air along with heated patios. Inside provides a nice warm and inviting setting. Full bar with plenty of tasty options. Lemon drop was my go to! It was good—not too strong, but missing more of the lemon flavor for me. We had the pulled pork sandwich and the 1501 (Bacon cheeseburger) and both were full of flavor. Caesar was our server and he provided exceptional service. Also, dog friendly. When we come back, we can’t wait to visit.

The Ruben and Fries are unique and full of flavor. Very nice portions too. I suggest the Delirium if youre wanting a nice, slightly sweet, malty brew that packs a bunch. Its a cool place, and the service is friendly and efficient, but there is a problem in the restroom. I wasnt thrilled with the portion sizes of the proteins, but everything was well prepared. Youll get a small-ish cut of meat, then they cover the plate with their admittedly delicious fries. So expect that. The restroom problem is that the sink faucet handle must be tightly gripped to turn it, and beyond the fact that the handle is filthy and disgusting (and apparently has never been thoroughly cleaned since it was installed), Im pretty sure its not ADA-compliant. Look into it. In their efforts to have rustic cool fixtures, theyve made it impossible for a portion of their client base to use them. I posted pics and a video that shows its operation.

Our group went in for Happy Hour before heading out to VillageFest. What a delightful decision. Great food and service.Most of us ordered the 1501 burger and it was quite satisfying with all the toppings neatly stacked between brioche bun. I ordered the cold roasted chicken sandwich based in the waitress recommendation. It was a tasty pick for a hot day. The fish and chips came out perfectly fried and everyone agreed their fries were fantastic. Its like a a hybrid of a potato chip and French frie.You cant go wrong with the Mocktail selections. We ordered the cucumber mint lemonade, mohito, and Chino canyon mule. Each were refreshing but I liked the Canyon Mule the most with its mango and slight ginger beer flavor.

Excellent spot to grab lunch while we were road tripping through Palm Springs. The service was friendly, they had shaded outdoor seating and the food was flavorful. I had the Spicy Sauteed Shrimp Thai Style salad and it had me wanting a second helping. The shrimp were large and cooked perfectly and the dressing was a perfect complement. A solid choice on a warm afternoon. My partner had the Jackfruit crab cakes and enjoyed them immensely. They had a nice selection of beers as well.

Great atmosphere, knowledgeable waiter and great food! We really enjoyed our dinner at 1501 Uptown. The seats were comfortable which is not always the case, there were several TVs but not too many, the vibe relaxed and enjoyable. The staff was fantastic from the people that seated us to the manager who checked on us. We had sandwiches and drinks. The pastrami sandwich and pulled pork sandwich both were great as were the fries and onion rings. They do take reservations and I definitely would recommend that although we were early enough to get in without a problem!

Portion sizes are on the smaller side. The Caprese Sandwich was difficult to eat. It forces you to deconstruct it and the Heirloom tomatoes were mushy. The fries and onion rings were good. The fish and chips were good but again you get three small pieces of fish, the coleslaw had no flavor. Atmosphere was pretty but we were disappointed with the food.

Came here for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. The wait was supposed to be 1 hour, however we decided to try and wait to sit at the bar. We ended up only waiting for 10 to 15 minutes. I think we only waited another 15 minutes before the food came out, definitely quicker than I thought it would take.My friend got the chicken sandwich and I got the kobe short rib hash which was flavorful but alittle more on the faty side. This restaurant felt like a good decision from the moment we spotted the restaurant from the street - and it was! They had a wide variety of drinks and an expansive menu, with lighter items like salads and heartier dishes (some even seemed like midcentury throwbacks). I had the pretzel - which was good but the add-on cheese dip was too small of a proportion for the gargantuan pretzel. My boyfriend had the beef stroganoff and we also shared a salad.The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu - and provided solid recommendations.As someone who doesn’t eat beef or pork, the options were somewhat limited beyond salad, but the chicken options looked tempting (I was just in more of a carbs mood).

Really cool vibe off the downtown strip and it was packed on a Tuesday night. Reservations strongly recommended. Both dishes were pretty good - grilled strawberry and burrata and a cold tri tip sandwich. The sandwich couldve been better if warm with some au jus and melted gruyere rather than a cold slice of cheddar. Cocktails were amazing. Our server Brian was really nice, friendly and attentive.

Chill spot with modern look and fantastic food. There is a bar area and TV screens if you want to watch something, but it is definitely a gastropub and not a run of the mill sports bar. Everything we ate on the eclectic menu felt carefully thought out and crafted. My husband had the steak frites, and I had the date and arugula salad with grilled shrimp (both pictured). They have an extensive drink menu that even includes mocktails.

It seems I’m in the minority here but I was not impressed with the food. The chicken was dry and some parts hard to chew. It was also a small serving. The tiger shrimp was just Ok, and the microgreens it came with were drowned in cocktail sauce, I usually like to eat those. Hubby’s pasta was a small serving too but it wasn’t bad. They liked the pretzel. Service was friendly enough.

This place was formally called Drafthouse. No doubt it took an unrecoverable hit during the Pandemic. Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, 1501 was established shortly after and has been killing it ever since!They’ve got a great food menu, extensive drink menu, and an awesome atmosphere. Came to Palm Spring to see a concert! After the concert we slept over and local recommended 1501 as a great breakfast stop before our drive back home. Absolutely delicious food. Fresh salad with light dressing, Bananas Foster French toast, Reuben sandwich and eggs Benedict- everything was yummy! Next time I’m in town I’ll stop by for a bite.

Where do I start? The reviews are amazing, so I went and tried it. I was thoroughly disappointed. We had an order of wings which were described as spicy. They were not. They were dry and unflavorful. The pretzel was big and just ok. Not a lot of flavor either, had it not been for the cheese sauce and mustard. They were however, freshly made because both were extremely hot in temperature. The hamburger was dry and over- cooked, even though I asked for mid-rare. Maybe the cook had an off day? The service was very good, although it took our server a bit to get serviceable. I wasnt impressed and will not be returning.

Misters came on just whem it was starting to get warm. I somehow missed when they opened (because pandemic), but I wanted to eat every single thing on the menu. If you run a high-end restaurant, you need to serve things as described on the menu. I ordered the avocado toast, which was supposed to come with baby herbs and heirloom tomato. The tomato was a mealy, pale flavorless commercial tomato, the avocado was mashed into a paper thin layer (more like guacamole toast), and if there were herbs, they were not visible. I get it, the service industry is a tough spot to keep staffed and it’s been that way for quite a while. I used to serve and bartend so I know how high the turnover is.When we did get our server, I pointed to the Bright Cider right at the top of the draft beer menu printout and ordered that. I considered other drinks but thought it was a good deal for $5. But when I got the bill, I’d been charged $11 for a Cosmic Crisp Cider - not what I ordered.When I asked the server about it, she provided an explanation that they don’t have the Bright Cider (listed on the menu) and only have the Cosmic Crisp Cider (not actually listed on the menu). They had served me what they had but not given me the option to make my own decision when the price was not commensurate. “But it tasted great, right?” she suggested.I wouldn’t have chosen an $11 cider. If I was going to spend that sort of money, I would have spent a little more and ordered a cocktail instead. Just let this be a lesson. Properly inform your guests and let them decide for themselves.

A True Treat! This place was established in 2020 and has a couple of important features that will be meaningful.First, the food is truly a treat. This was an excellent restaurant. Tremendous value for the money. I got the Cubano with fries and my wife got the chicken fried chicken with greens. They have a great beer menu and also good mixed drinks.The atmosphere was great at the bar or outside as well.Highly recommended!

The front desk person at our hotel recommended we stop at this place on vacation visiting from Minnesota so we did. Such a great atmosphere with an indoor/outdoor vibe. Candlelit tables but also very chill and relaxed. Great drinks and food. I had chicken and my hubby had the charcuterie tray. Both amazing just like the staff.

Recently I met with friends who love 1501. Now I know why! Though I had left my phone at home by mistake with a pic of my proof of vaccination, no problem as adequate outdoor dining areas in addition to inside seating. The restaurant had a large number of servers/busses so someone was always close by to help.Many choices on menu but following their suggestion I tried the recommended fish and chips. It was one of the best plates anywhere. Large serving with plenty to box for later.One knock I would bring up however, was we felt rushed. My friends warned of the lightening service and we had to shoo the server away 3 times as she came to take the order while we wanted to enjoy our drinks. Sure enough the entrees appeared within 5 minutes of our order. So establish with server if you would like to dine without being rushed.Quality of food was high. Food was at good serving temp. Parking on side and behind restaurant. I look forward to returning to try other menu offerings.

We were a group of 10. Some of us enjoyed, some less.I ordered the short rib. The meat was tender, but the sauce was too salty and the portion was too small for 36$. My partner ordered the 32$ shepherds pie and she did not enjoy it. Her meat, that was supposed to be filet mignon, was dry.The service was a mess.Although the staff were very kind, some of us did not get the food and beverages on time.The outdoor seating was not comfortable since one side of the table was kind of a bench without backrest.I decided to give 3 stars out of five, since some of our group did enjoy their food.

I have been a few times now and it has grown on me. Tonight our server Scott really made the difference from 3 to 5 stars. Food and drinks are very good. A few vegetarian options if needed but more focused on comfort food. A bit loud at times but good energy with a crowd. Food was probably 3 to four stars and the service was stellar. Our waiter Scott and the servers we on top of everything. Great descriptions and very helpful going the extra mile to make things perfect. Where do I start? This place’s previous owner was a disaster. What an upgrade it is now. The short rib was amazing, the pretzel? We ordered it and then reordered because it was so good. The salads are ok.. wouldn’t order again. The bread pudding? We were fighting over it. We stayed warm at the terrace and the ambiance is great. As a desert full time resident I highly recommend.

I could not be happier with my experience here. The sour cherry braised pork shoulder is the best thing Ive eaten in years. Seriously. I was in heaven. The bread pudding was utterly perfect.As for the service, it literally could not have been faster. Have been to 1501 four times in the last two months while visiting Palm Springs and Brunch on Sunday was the worst experience by far. We had reservations for 12:15 pm and were seated immediately at an outside table. It took awhile for waitress to come to the table. We she arrived we placed our order for drinks and food at the same time and the waitress went onto the next table to take their order. The waitress return a few minutes later and wanted to confirm our order as she had gotten it confused with the other table. She assured us she had it right and not to worry. A runner delivered our food to the table, and laid down a frittata in front of me and when I question what is was (I had ordered French Toast) he said it was a Frittata. I said I didn’t order a Frittata and proceed to show me the chit he had in his hand that said Frittata and was a bit rude. He took it back to the kitchen the waitress returned and apologized in the meantime my partner ate Brunch alone while I waited for my meal. There was a lot of street noise and another outdoor table was very loud so you couldn’t carry a conversation on so the whole experience was bad. Overall impression the waitress was confused /scattered and seemed overwhelmed. I’m my previous visits to 1501 the wait staff also seem to have too many tables and service was inconsistent. Food is good and restaurant space is nice. They just need to work on service .

Hip-looking place. However, long waits, mediocre food, so-so service, and high prices. We arrived for a brunch in early March 2022 around the noon hour. We saw several open tables, but the hostesses said they were reserved-- strangely, those tables remained open for the duration of our visit. We pulled up at the bar, and sat next to someone who was waiting for 45 mins for their food and was ready to leave. Our food took about 45 mins to arrive after we placed the order too. Eggs benedict was cold and the flavor was so-so. Pretty expensive though, $25/plate for brunch. We didnt have any cocktails. I suppose if you want expensive cocktails in a nifty-looking environment and you dont mind waiting a long time to recieve, then this is the place for you. On the plus side, the open-air environment was very comfortable and the place wasnt loud. An upscale diner, basically. I cant reconcile why the staff kept so many tables open when we could have easily occupied one of them. The servers missed out on that tip $ i suppose. The environment felt modern and was very comfortable, otherwise, this place is avoidable. We will never return here-- too many options in a place like PS.

Gave this place a try on a weekend in PS. We were so so impressed. We ordered the one chowder, prawn cocktail, fish and chips and short rib. Everything was fantastic and I was just sad we didn’t leave room for dessert. Lots of outdoor seating. Run don’t walk.
