Terrible company! You choose products to get promotional offers! But does not include service! What’s the point! Usually when you buy fish you clean it up, but you choose to discount and add $1per LB to help clean the fish? So it‘s cheating consumers?

Not a pleasant place to shop if you understand Mandarin Chinese. Hearing those women working at the Hot Deli ranting about something every time I go there makes the shopping atmosphere so negative and unprofessional. Its unbelievable how they just treat the workplace like their own living room. No wonder they dont treat customers professionally either!!

Went to buy some ground pork last time, when the butcher handed to me, I could smell a little, but I wanted to trust, such a big supermarket, how could they selling the rotten products, but when I got home and ready to cook, that horrible smell stinted up the whole house, it toook days to finally got rid of that smell . That was a horrible experience, feel super bad for a regular customer

This place is cool it has alot of neat stuff here but the parking is a nightmare. I like to come here for 1 big reason it is because they have vegan beef jerkey. It is called soy steak and it is amazing. It is so hard to find meatless beef jerky in stores so becuase this place has it i will be always coming back. If youre a vegetarian or vegan and love soy alternatives to stuff like beef jerky go try it out it is awesome. They have some other stuff cool too but like I said the parking is a nightmare is always so horrible and stuff isnt the best but its not a horrible place I would give it about a C which is why I gave it three out of five stars.

Only store that I know of that has organic duck eggs for sale.We usually ferment our own but they are hard to get after the Shang Lee Market closed on Garvey.The staff will answer your questions politely and direct you to the proper aisle, unlike some of the other markets where most of the staff will say, I dont know.No customer service whatsoever.Im sold on 168 Market and Ive told my relatives to go shop there.The number 168 isnt a bad omen neither.Literally translated as, The road to prosperity.Five stars for excellent service and good prices.

Please excuse my English was not that good, I always like to buy grocery from 168 market in Alhambra store in Los Angeles, price right, lots of selections and lots of hard working employees, but just recently when I try to buy a 12 pack of Lacroix Sparkling Water price was posted $5.09 and while at the Check Out the register showed $5.09 also, the lady said it was the old price and ask for assistant, and there came a heavyset lady with the authority of 慈禧或武則天 in the year of 2022, she ripped open the box without telling what she was going to do and said to other lady the price was 60 cents each, of cause the items still your while I have not pay yet, but I was buying the item as price posted and case whole without damage and not ripped open, so I told her ( TO BRING IT TO HER HOME in Cantonese if she is not willing to sell ) I left without buying, any pricing mistake is the stores problem, not with their customers, I will still coming to your store to shop, one particular employee is not going to bother me .

Decent prices, wide selection of food and good layout. However, the interior design changed recently and I am not sure I like the right end of the store the way it is. I preferred the expansive freezer section. Professional staff, good parking. Theyve done a lot to this former Market Basket (then Vons). Live seafood available and butchery looks good.

168 is a good Asian market, catering to a large Chinese and Vietnamese population. Personally, it looks a little funky on the outside and doesnt have the best vibe when you first walk in..the lighting is weird. But, it is pretty large and spacious and makes up for those qualities with good produce, a great selection of vegetables, fruits and a good quality meat department. By the way (my wife appreciates this) this market has a large and fresh selection of rice rolls and rice noodles daily. The staff are helpful and friendly. Prices are reasonable and competitive.

The selection is great! I am new in this area but the cashiers are always mean. I really like shop right here but Everytime I came in cashiers are always giving me attitude. One time I spent 300 dollars on food and the cashier doesnt want to bag my stuff. I have to do it by my self. Mainly Chinese groceries, has some small sections for other Asian ethnicities products. A good Asian market with a lot of variety. I normally don’t shop here but my parents do and I go with them sometimes to pick up snacks. Fruits and veggies are great! On point. Dry foods, sauces, snacks - all fantastic with a ton of ethnic variety. The only off putting thing about the market is the feeling of unclean. I mean it’s generally clean-ish but there’s just something about the wet floors and rugs and the massiveness of meat and seafood.

Walking inside the location of this grocery store, I found it packed with little management of crowd control. Unfortunately the cleaniness and tidiness of this store needs further review by leadership. Its a good place, they have good selection, the stuff doesnt go bad.Update: In 2020 or 2021 I did buy some soy sauce eggs and zong zi that went bad early. I didnt look at the sell-by date on the packages, but it was like one day after I bought them. However I think theyve gotten better about this with their new deli section, which has these perishable items in enclosed refrigerated pantries instead of open-air refrigerated shelves.The staff can be helpful if you find them, everyone seems busy though.I still come to this place (and buy zong zi, theyre really good), despite that one bad experience mentioned above.

I purchased me some green onions 99 cent for 3 bundles Vons and Ralphs one bundle was 1.00. I like 168 Market you can get a lot of bang for your buck. I shop there twice a month to get most of my groceries. Generally it has fresh produce and reasonable prices. The last several visits at the meat department, however, were not pleasant at all. The staff behind the counter appeared unhappy to be there and unwilling to assist the customers. I waited to be served but the staff was talking among themselves and acting like we were transparent. Never a smile or even a courtesy exchange of words. I bought some pork ribs and asked them if they can cut it for me. First guy flat out said no rudely, the second guy came along and said if I will go pay for it first and then bring it back, he will cut it for me. With a full cart of groceries, I didnt want to checkout and then bring the meat back for cutting. The customer service at the meat department does not exist. Think I will start shopping at other Asian markets nearby.

Typical Chinese business, dont expect good or friendly service from the employees. Just go in and grab whatever you need and go. Be careful while shopping in the store, you can get run over by the employees pushing their handtrucks or carts while stacking their merchandise By the way, of you do get hit by the, dont expect any apologies, it was your fault to be in their way.

Im a big fan of this market because the prices for their products are usually cheaper than other Chinese supermarkets.This market is extremely big as well. The space is like a warehouse and you can easily get lost in it.The prices for produce varies but is also usually a tad cheaper than other stores. Is the produce fresher? Not quite sure.Parking is ample as they have a big lot that they share with their neighbor, CVS.

The checkout clerks are a mainstay to this ethnic Chinese grocery store. Well they look very skinny... Thats right away you can tell theyre so helpful. The small concession of Flowers and botanicals used to be very profitable because there were an assortment miniature tangerines and persimmons. Now, the concession has grown very lazy and carried only plants you can get at home Depot.

Sorry about the previous rating as my phone was stolen and didnt complete the review. I love this market as its near my bank. Every other Friday I do my grocery shopping here and its been a great supermarket with Hawaiian papayas, to fishcakes, gyozas, to sticky rice dolls, to kimchee and tofu. Even though I dont speak Chinese, I manage to make the cashiers laugh with my sense of humor. 😀

This is an extremely cheap market. Ive lived in Glendale most of my adult life and no market in that whole area can compete with 168 in prices. The quality of the produce and especially the meat is pretty low, but the price is good. One part that I dont like about this place are all the cashiers. They take their sweet time with all customers and talk among their coworkers. Waiting in line for 15 minutes is pretty normal for 168 Market.

Their prices on most of the products are usually little bit higher than other markets. We shop there every once awhile just for fruits and vegetables. I dont like that the fact that this market and almost all of the Asian markets around this area had jacked up their prices during the pandemic. Shop around and dont always go to the same place.

Moldy deep fried soy bean cake even within expiration date. I live far away from store i can only go there on weekend. But store only have 7 day return policy. Not a pleasant experience with cashier and her supervisor. Cashier asked for membership phone number then asked for my Id. After I showered her,she said it was not me. Dialed my home number that shows home as Id but they are so unpleasant and uncaring. Turns out account has wifes name although I opened it. All this may be understandable but their customer service is not. I do not blame cashier because she could barely speak English. I do judge their policies on training and how they treat people like if they are doing us a favor. Unfortunately this is all so typical in the area because everyone just accepts it but that does not mean it is ok. I said my peace and will continue to. FYI, worst service anywhere is from Mee Mee Bakery in San Franciscos Chinatown. So bad their yep reviews are funny.

One of the many markets in the san gabriel valley is 168. This place is astoundingly huge!!! there is a lot to choose from and you can definitely spend hours here browsing on the many grocery products this market has to offer. By the time you get here, its already nightfall when you leave. Its super funny how you can spend so much time at this grocery store and just get lost in the things they sell here. I come here sometimes when the other Chinese supermarkets dont carry certain things, and this place might carry it. Pretty Clean place and staff is more welcoming and helpful than the other markets. Ive been to other 168 Markets around town. This one is my least favorite even though its the closest one to my house. The other day I needed to buy onions and 90% of the onions theyre selling were either rotten or bruised. Freshness is not their concern I guess... Also, other 168 Market has fresh food sold in trays, this one doesnt. Everything is in the freezer or prepacked. Wish they would add fresh food section like the 168 Market off of Colima has. If management is reading this, please consider adding fresh food in trays options to your store so people will choose to come here instead of going to 99 Ranch just a few blocks away. Thanks!

I come here for the fresh seafood. They sell it faster than almost anyone, so the freshness and price are the best I know.Now for the real treat. 168 market will steam your purchase, so long as you pay for it first. Now, go buy a baguette or two over at Lees Sandwiches, get your lobster, clams or whatever, go 1/2 mile to Vincent Lugo Park, get out the implements, open the thermos of melted butter, and dig in. This is my favorite food experience in the LA basin.Also, in season, try a purple radish or a golden dragon-fruit. The first is good, the next is super delicious. Another super bargain is the vacuum packed filet mignon, when they have it. Oh, and I buy my salmon and tuna sashimi here. Again, its the turnover that keeps it fresh.

Cashiers dont speak a word of English, even to say that will be $14.51, please and rudely dont say thank you. Chinese immigrants are welcome in this country, and stores that provide international goods are welcome. If you dont want to integrate, that is your right. This use to be a Vons but quickly they went out of business since this area is the next Chinatown. 168 Market has really fresh seafood you should not skip out on. This 168 supermarket is one of better one in the valley. Easy parking, just make sure dont park near CVS since your car could get toll, the interior is huge. It used to be Vons, so that make sense. If you already dont know most Chinese supermarket in San Gabriel Valley are former franchisee. What I like here more than any other market is they huge selection of microwave food, lots of freezer. This is basically 99 ranch, since they sell many same items and even same promotion deal, but usually with some new items that you dont find in 99 ranch.

Diverse large asian grocery store. Huge variety of rice (black rice available and not expensive for the health conscious folks). Hawaiin macadamia chocolates are available! No need to fly to Hawaii for that. Need some bubbles to celebrate? They have Mumm Napa Rosé sparkling wine. Fresh fruit and vegetables - humungous pomelos, jack fruit available but no fresh Durian. They do have Durian mochi and Lychee mochi packaged in a pretty box. The mochi inside the box are individually wrapped bite sized pieces.
