2022-10-26 01:23:02So glad to find out they reopened after being closed a while during the pandemic. Currently you have to pre-order a day in advance for pickup so it takes a little planning but so worth it.Their fried chicken is so crispy. I ordered it with waffle fries and they say they only fire up the fries just before your pickup time so that theyre fresh. When I went to pick up my order, they let me know it would just be a few minutes because the fries were finishing and when he came out with my order, he said he accidentally made the salad but included both the fries and salad and threw in a vanilla pudding. Everything was so delicious. Even the bonus pudding had flecks of vanilla bean and tasted so much better than the instant stuff. The chicken and fries were enough for 2 meals.

2023-11-15 07:23:16I wish I knew why they settled on ol MacDonald Ave, because we have such an awesome restaurant here. Very discreet place, but they do a good business. Great service and even better food; every dish is great.

2019-11-14 23:03:57First time coming here. I ordered the short ribs. Food was delicious, amazing service, and very surprised I hadn’t heard about this place sooner. Definitely will be back. Too bad they’re not open for dinner.

2020-01-23 21:54:17Lovely little place. IMMACULATE. AWESOME service from the Mom, while the son does the cooking. On suggestion from a co-worker, I had the rice plate w/short rib. 🔥 🔥 🔥 and that salad. Crisp and refreshing! This was the first of many visits to come. Only 4 stars due to lack of seating.

2022-09-30 19:10:56Glad they reopened, but you have to order one day in advance. That aspect alone makes it very hard to go try the food. It does look like a different menu and more casual. 🙄

2019-09-24 22:48:54Just had the most delicious short ribs accompanied by steamed rice and a green salad with a yakiniku marinade! Daniel is the chef. I noticed his mom was helping him with the dozen or so customers lined up well before lunchtime. The bahn mi sandwich is another favorite... It is a hole-in-the -wall kind of place but oh such good food. I hope to post a photo later this week.

2020-01-23 19:36:03Had been hearing amazing things about this spot since it opened and finally stopped by for a quick lunch during work!Atmosphere is small and intimate. Decor is clean and simple with lots of green throughout, and menu is easy to read while youre in line.Keep in mind, this is NOT a place to sit down and eat, it is a no frills take out spot, but if you must, theres a communal stand up table. And if youve never been deep in Richmond on Macdonald Ave, just know that it isnt in the safest neighborhood. Street parking can also be tough. Now the FOOD, what we are ALL here for. So far I have only had the Kalbi (kbbq beef shortribs) sandwich and rice plate. UNBELIEVABLE. The sandwich is on an Acme roll, but what was amazing about it was the apple arugula salad and the creamy (mayo based?) sauce in the sandwich. Usually, Kalbi is pretty heavy, but this was a refreshing twist that was more balanced with each bite.I must say though, everyone comes here for the Marys fried chicken, there most popular item. Everyone I know who has had it has raved about it... so if you are lucky enough to make it here during their minimal hours AND it is not sold out, PLEASE go for it.Anyways, I will definitely be back. For the fried chicken. And the scallops. And back again for the Kalbi.

2019-09-26 21:18:14The short rib and the scallops were tasty. I’m glad a place like this exists in Richmond. I hope in the future, they will be open for dinner. This is a great local place for locals.

2020-01-23 23:26:05First time stopping in today... the branzino special was delicious. I would love to see a few vegetarian options added. Jane and Daniel have made a real gem here.
