First time coming here with my family during a late night visit. Everything about this place was awesome! They had a relaxing musician on stage singing request songs from customers, the adult drinks were tasty and light, and the food was great! Fish tacos, good nachos and a kids mean chicken strip basket. Definitely plan on coming back soon! The waitress was a sweetheart by the way and even offered samples of drinks that looked good to us!

I called 36 Handles tonight to make sure they were open. We were told Yes kitchen open until 9pm. When we arrived they were having karaoke and had a full bar. (Picture attached) We asked for a table for 3 and were told the kitchen was closed. We stated we just called and asked and were told 9pm. The hostess went and asked and sure enough they decided to close early So we explained we had called 10 minutes earlier.. keep in mind it isnt even 8:30 pm yet.. I am so shocked and dissapointed. The staff did not care that they had just said they would be open until 9pm. The place was packed!! They lost so many Folsom locals lately.. I literally was told I better call because they are known for this.. So I am now sitting at a restraunt called Lazy Dog with my friends who are locals to Folsom because they are open per there actual posted Hours!!!! Please look at my pictures so you can see Im telling you is true!! Dont waist your time going to a place that doesnt care or want your business enough to actually be open for food 10 minutes after you call to verify.. I would give 0 stars if I could!!!! Avoid!!! Rating FAILURE!!! AVOID!!! POOR SERVICE!!! I THINK IVE SAID ALL I CAN!!!

08/19/2022: This was our 2nd visit to this pub. The establishment was busy, but we were able to get seated as soon as we walked in. Our server was welcoming and friendly.Hubby had the burger which he thoroughly enjoyed. It had a nice, thick and juicy patty with fresh veggies on a good bun that could handle the heft of this burger. A good amount of sweet potato fries came with the order. I had the turkey club with fries. I enjoyed this sandwich. Turkey on clubs are usually salty, but this one was absolutely tasty.We had a great visit to this restaurant and we highly recommend it. Prices are reasonable too! Its a great stop to grab a bite when traveling to/ from Lake Tahoe.

Our server Jenniffer was friendly and efficient. Bacon wrapped mead loaf served on mashed potato’s with Brussels sprouts good but a tad too much liquid smoke flavor. Fish and Chips with garlic fries a hit with my wife and our two friends. Good beer selection. Bread pudding tasty dessert. Thursday night Karaoke night started up but we found it annoying so we departed.

Very friendly staff (bartender, servers) and surprisingly the customers were all so friendly. It looks like the new owner is doing a lot to improve the atmosphere and service since they took it over. Great outdoor space with misters. Very comfortable inside too. Good burgers, fries, BLTA sandwich, fish tacos. They had live music with very good band! Definitely will go back!

What an awesome place!!! Came for trivia night, the host did amazing. The servers were on top of everything. For how busy it was, I still felt like I was very attended to. Great drinks and just an overall fun fun experience! I highly recommend this restaurant/bar! I think every Thursday is trivia, definitely worth coming for that

36 Handles is a really fun pub. The food is excellent as one would expect from a pub. The service was terrific. Our server was attentive without hovering, engaging without prying and was able to enhance the experience by making suggestions. There was a live band when we went and people were having a marvelous time. Its a great place to socialize and enjoy an evening.

Excellent pub cuisine and the friendliest service. The best drinks in the area, as well as great live music on Wednesday and Saturday nights from talented performers and Karaoke on Mondays when no one else in Eldorado Hills does. Its a terrific place to hang out with friends and family, and the space is so big that its perfect for big gatherings.

Only thing getting them one star is their sweet potato fries. This is the second time I tried to come for trivia and got turned away this time because a reservation was required even though it never said it anywhere on their website or the event flyer. Last time it was canceled and it was not posted anywhere. The food is mediocre which makes their prices way too high. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

I love the feel of the bar, but the carnitas Quesadilla surprised the hell out of me. It was fantastic! The bartender sampled out 5 beers for my friends and I to make sure we got something we liked.I recommend it. IMO better food atmosphere than Relish Burger Bar, but you cant go wrong with either.

Its a great place to hang out with friends. The service staff are friendly and thats lets you relax more. The food is great as well. The best part was there was no loud music. It seemed that the tables were a bit too close. Im not sure if it was because of our group size. Overall, it was a good experience.

Wanted to watch hockey and they figured it out with music for the room and the game we wanted. Bartender help did not show up but the tender on duty rocked it and made sure she did regular check-ins with everyone. Only issue was food was so-so... Had the fish tacos. Fried fish was soft/soggy.... Should be crisp or have a grilled option. El Dorado steak sandwich was very good, onion rings were soggy too. Love the atmosphere and staff are great, food needs work.

So I ordered their O.G. Cottage Pie on Doordash, and I gotta say I was pretty disappointed. The food did taste pretty good, however the presentation and portions were very subpar.I would expect that something like a Shepherds pie, without any structure of its own, would be served in a bowl. I was rather shocked when I saw that the stew was tossed into a generic to go box, where it inevitably all sloshed to one side. This is not the fault of the delivery driver, and this would have almost certainly happened no matter what.Next, I would like to address the portions. In the photo, I have a tea spoon (NOT a table spoon) for reference (Note that the photo is taken after I have only taken a single small bite from the front left corner of the dish). So, you can see that I was only able to get about 8-9 smallish bites from this meal that I paid a whopping $21 (not including delivery fees) for! I dont think its unreasonable to be at least a little miffed when I pay $21, and I get what I would consider to be a kids-sized meal of a dish that is generally associated with large, hearty portions.The only redeeming aspect to this dish was that yes, it did taste very good (thus the 2 stars and not 1), and I bet if I had eaten at the restaurant I would most likely have had a better experience. However, in this age where online and delivery orders are far more prevalent, I think the best way for restaurants to avoid reviews like this is to simply not offer delivery until sloppy orders like this never happen.

This place is a must try! We went in with our family and tried the zucchini fries, pretzel bites, and dirty tots.Everything was delicious, the zucchini fries were my favorite! They cut the zucchini fresh daily and you can tell the difference in the taste! The batter on the outside is crisp and perfectly seasoned. The buttermilk ranch that is served with it, is also made from scratch.If you’re close by, you have to check this place out! Highly recommend!

Ive only been here once, thus the 4 stars. Had the fish and chips, and well it tasted like other meals Ive had, so it was good but didnt stand out. It was a comfortable and nice quiet place, of course we did arrive around 2pm. Staff was friendly and attentive, nice experience, I would go back and try a different meal at least.

Gahrjeet, the new owner, has done well to keep the Spirit of the Irish Bar alive. The Menu is excellent, full of American fare and UK style too... Though they took down allot of the wood frames interiors around seating (Eng/IRL pub look), the bar remains. Big selection of Scotch🥃, Bourbon🥃, Irish Whiskey🥃 ... The food was good but its under new ownership and not quite ready for a crowd. I ordered the BLTA with upgraded garlic fries. The bar looked great. Same dark, Irish pub feel as before. Service was friendly and spot on. My guy had a beer on tap and asked about the 36 Handles club. The new owners are upholding that but are choosing to toss out the better perks. Drink 36 of their tap beers and you get a mug. It doesnt sound as fun as it once did. Best of luck to them though. I plan on trying it again after theyre settled in.

PROS: The location is cute and the outdoor patio is nice. Dinner menu looked good. The sweet potato fries were good.CONS: The dinner menu isnt available at lunch, and the lunch menu is just so so. The service wasnt all that great. We sat in the heat outdoors but never even got our drinks refilled, or checked on by the staff. The cottage pie had ground beef that ruined the dish. The BLT was nothing special. We sat for half an hour after we finished eating waiting for our check or some kind of acknowledgment from the staff. Finally we had to go and physically ask for it. I dont think we will ever return here to try the dinner menu.

The drinks are still good, the food is still greasy. We have visited 36 Handles about twice a year for the past 5 years hoping the food will improve. No improvement during my March 2019 visit. The appetizers still all taste the same, like they were fried at the same time in fryer oil that needs to be changed. The food options are limited. I remember getting a BLT one time and wondering how can a BLT taste so unappetizing. Its rumored the owner is trying to sell. I hope someone takes over and provides editable food.

Great pub! I had an almost perfect Reuben sandwich. The appetizers, calmari with a visit gear jalapeno sauce & marinated chicken wings, were BOTH excellent! The table also had the meatloaf, the fish and chips(cod) and the cottage pie(shepherds pie). All received high marks! The place had great atmosphere and our server, Nick(9931) was outstanding! His beard was top notch!

Cute place on outside. Once inside and had a look I found the restaurant filthy. The grime and black goo on the wood floor is quite bad. Tables and chairs were a bit of a mess and could use a good cleaning. Not sure what the owner needs to do to shine up his restaurant but it needs some effort. Ive been here several times but its just ready to clean now or refinish the floors. Oh and the food was tasty great but a wee bit overpriced.

Good Irish themed pub with 36 options always on tap and a diverse menu of food. We went on a Friday night for a late dinner just after 7 and the place was full and with an almost half hour wait. Other than the bar, there was no waiting area for our tables, but they do text you when your table is ready so you could certainly walk around the retail center where they are located. Food was definitely good and fairly priced. I had the Gyro. It was a little difficult having a conversation at our table due to the noise level in the facility and the proximity to other populated tables. Would like to go back and try again when they are not quite so busy and would definitely do so if I lived nearby.

Decent pub environment: loud and lively. They have live music on weekends and good comfort food. Surprisingly, they offer a vegetarian lasagne which is delish! Burgers are also very good. Large bar, large screens to watch futbol. Not as Intimate as other pubs ( not as many cozy cuddies to tuck into) but still a good vibe. Great draft beers and cocktails.

One table left right at the door as you enter and could feel the heat just coming in as they leave the door open. 1 waitress on and didnt having any indication that we were going to be acknowledged anytime soon, so we up and left. The chicken dish tasted simply like plain butter and chicken, and the cottage pie was just mashed potatoes over some unseasonably ground beef. Got kicked out on a Tuesday night (6 months ago) hurried along mid pint at 9pm or so. Yeah, it was a slow night and maybe the waitress could have gone home but the bartender could have stayed. There were still 3-4 other patrons at the time in addition to me and my buddy.Other days have been fine prior to that, so maybe it was an isolated incident, but with so many other choices available, Ill just go to one of those.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! The owner kicked us permanently because somebody else got angry and as he was trying to assault an employee i jumped in and blocked the angry customers throws and told him to leave the amployee alone. He even kicked out my friend who wasnt even there for it because he says he was part of it. Even though he wasnt!! Dont get me wrong the employees are nice, but dont come here because its horrible drama. I was the one who DEFENDED your employee from being assaulted.

OMG 36 Handles has the best food and beer selection in the entire Greater Sacramento area. Seriously, 36 beers on tap & 8 of them rotate. When I was there they had Le Freak - so good. Oh, and the pub nachos are ridiculous! Bad for the waist line, but a yummy Irish take on a tex mex fav. Its homemade kettle chips with corned beef, yummy cheese sauce & green onions. They go quick so get two orders!Best pub in El Dorado Hills, best pub in Sacramento for sure!
