Amazing beds and shower, friendly and helpful staff and incredible location!We only wish wed stayed longer.
Starting with Sandy at the front desk, service was warm and friendly. Room was nicely organized and roomy. Partial View was an accurate description, but the partial view was very picturesque (boats at anchor, dunes, Pacific Ocean behind). Location was perfect for us, providing an opportunity to stretch our legs to walk out to Morro Beach (about 1 mi).
The location of this hotel in this cute town was top notch. By far my favorite stay in a hotel. They have a jacuzzi, fire place, fresh towels were sent on request as was a cot with blankets and an extra pillow. Everything was clean. The only updates I would suggest is the bathroom and towels. There is no water pressure on the shower but I would stay here again and again. I did not want to come home. I had a balcony and could hear the otters. I love that they are hardwood floors. We are right on a strip that feels very safe with a beach vibe and tons of food and shops. It was oh so cozy ! The weather was also perfect. There is a 1940s theater near by and we went to Hearst Castle. Love this hotel!
Positive: The location was perfect and our view from the balcony was great. The room was large. They had a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave which we appreciated. Negative: The beds were not very comfortable. The pillow were flat. The towels were thin. I am guessing that the price was high because of the location. I would not stay here again because of the beds.
Fantastic place! After a horrendous experience down the street at a scam motel, we ended up here and couldn’t be happier. Very friendly and professional staff and an excellent location. Rooms were spotless and VERY comfortable. Will happily return!
My wife and I were traveling up the coast and didnt know exactly where we would end up. Once we knew we would be in Morro Bay I looked for places to stay and found a room on Priceline for $120 total. Room is great and you are right on the water with tons of restaurants and shops to walk to.
Booked through Agoda for 3 nights back in Feb 2023. We have stayed there before and loved the quiet vibe. Unfortunetly we didnt even stay one night due to room pictures not being accurate on agodas site. You would have thought it was agodas mistake but they blammed the hotel. The hotel blammed Agoda. And either party would give us a full refund. We were charged for one night and both parties wouldnt credit is at all. After trying to reason with the older Asian lady at the front she wouldnt give us a contact number to discuss this with a manager. (She is the manager we later found out) We just wanted a full refund as we didnt even stay one night. We didnt even open the door to our room.Oh and we did try to originally book straight though the hotel at the desk but the price was atleast $50 us more a night.The big kicker wasnt that. What set off our alarm bells was when we asked for a crib for our child. We were going to be charged extra which is ok but not usually the norm in hotels but the lady would not show us the crib or verify if it was safe for our 9 month old. Some older pack and plays can be dangerous due to folding up while child is inside.Im not sure but I think this hotel was taken over by new management.I hate leaving this review but I spent many hours fighting it out with Agoda due to this hotel not budging giving a full refund.Went to the best western up the street. Ended up being cheaper. No charge for a crib. Had a great breakfast included and a wine and cheese hour later on in the day.... and we could hear the sealions from our room. Also we were offered a significant discount to stay a 4th night.

I guess? You. Are? Only printing. Out? Or somehow deleting? Bad reviews last time I went March of my birthday 2021 after covid. You would think the rooms would be spotless? But they were stains on couches and carpets book. The expensive room will never make that mistake again also torn robes look like they were shredded.
We booked our stay months in advance. I wanted to make sure they had accounted the price in for my fur baby, and they did not. So the kind woman put notes in that they would wave the $35 pet fee for the misunderstanding. Upon arrival after driving for more than 2 hrs the Asian woman behind the desk said “not acceptable, she can’t just do that” My wife stepped in and said do what’s needed to get us out room! So we finally got into our room which was decent but not worth the $270 we paid. We stayed at the Hyatt in Monterey for only $240 a night which had plenty of accommodations. They say they are dog friendly, but you need to walk a block for a potty area LOL. Spend some money and put up some fake grass or something out front for us with fur babies.
We stayed here with our fur babies for one night while driving down the coast. Our room was clean and welcoming with a fire place a nice view of Morro Rock. The bed was very comfy!
Stayed here for the fourth time and always have an enjoyable time. Booked late so got the mini-suite instead of the usual superior King Fireplace room that we booked in the past. A little pricey but, it was big, super clean, lots of surfaces to put our stuff on, dual sinks, and a great third floor view. The TV was on the wall was on the small side so made watching TV from the bed a little hard. Guess that is what the love seat is for. No more free breakfast since the Pandemic so we were expecting that. Hope it is back during our next trip. The folks at the front desk were very friendly and plenty of parking.

We stayed in the family suite which is said to be the best room they have. It is a beautiful room and the staff was more than accommodating and kind when we checked late. There was a mishap and damage was made to a chair in the living room. I gladly let them know upon check out that an incident occurred and the receptionist kindly told me she would call me with more information after they assess the damage to the chair to see if it could be patched. Knowing the damage was caused by my family, I have no issues paying for the chair. However, I have called at least eight times since we left to inquire about the $600 charge to my debit card. I am a single mom who splurged for her kids for one night and now I cannot even get a courtesy call explaining how one simple chair cost $600, which is what I just paid for an entire couch. I am incredibly disappointed at the unprofessional treatment I am now getting after check out. Maybe I should not have been honest about the damage. Anyhow, the property is beautifully pleased and the room as I said was amazing. I only wish my honesty was appreciated and the courtesy and respect was reciprocated.
The rooms are spacious and well appointed, with a great view of the harbor through the sliding glass door or from the balcony. Good mattress, with that bit of extra space in every dimension that makes the room feel comfortable and restful. We loved the gas fireplace and being able to hear the harbor seals barking in the night. The only caution is the lack of sound deadening. We were luck to have quiet neighbors, but any sound in an adjacent room, or even a car driving by the hotel, is clearly audible in our room. We could even hear the floor squeak as people in the next room walked around.

This is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Morro Bay. If you stay on the 3rd floor you have an amazing view of Morro Rock and the harbor. The 2nd floor has a nice view as well. The Hotel is in a perfect location. You can view all the beautiful sail boats as you walk to the quaint shops and good restaurants while making your way down to Morro Rock. The staff at the Embarcadero Inn were so kind and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I really love Morro Bay. It’s so beautiful and such a cool place to relax and unwind.
I didnt stay here but I met some friends staying here. The place was clean and according to my friends the pricing was appropriate. My general observation of this place is that its in need of some updating and maintenance. While everything is in good shape, its starting to show its couple decades old look. Overall, Id recommend this hotel!
Positive: Location. Negative: I enjoy my stay at this hotel, however there was missing information during the reservation process that led to staying in a room I didnt intend to stay in. Also spa hours are at the hotels convenience not the guests convenience.
I was told at check in that I had reserved a room with a partial view. That was incorrect. They chose to place me in a partial view room, after I made the reservation. I will not be staying here again. If you want to know what a partial view looks like, just look through your peep hole from home. Also not very happy about spa hours...4 hours a day?
Great spot to stay! We had a view of the bay from our room and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and gave great local recommendations of places to eat. We very much enjoyed our stay and will stay with them again when in the area!
Never stayed because I got ill and canceled 3 1/2 days prior to arrival, and was told I had to have canceled 8 hours earlier! They immediately charged my card $163 and change, three days before the actual day we were going to arrive. I called 3 times to speak with the manager, always not in. Was told she would call me back, a month later that never happened. Who does that to seniors on Social Security? This was to be an anniversary trip, which the front desk knew about in advance also. Nice treatment. No consideration for people, just takes your money. We will never stay there. Most hotels with some class allow cancelations up to 24 hours. Read other peoples reviews on the desk help and management, they need to clean house.
I’m recommending this hotel because it’s location, comfort, amd service. Waking up on their balcony looking at the back bay at sunrise, with my doggy,is simply magical.I am a even a native of Morro Bay and I loved it so much that I recommend it to my boss and his wife for her birthday they even put her name up on the sign with birthday wishes.Will be back every year at least twice thank you again everyone at 456 Embarcadero!🙏
This weekend was the car show, but we didnt know it was happening. Just went for peace and quiet and the great view and vibes, but wall to wall people for the car show, lol hotel is lovely, the employees are very helpful. But going during a weekend rush for shows, its not as quiet.
Great place. Friendly staff. Comfy bed and sheets. Very clean, with hardwood floors in our room. Fireplace worked wonderfully. Feels as close to a home as a hotel can get. My apologies for our dogs barking. If anyone staying in the rooms next to mine on the night of 3/28, that was my fault and not the hotels. I will happily stay here next time I visit Morro Bay.
Great room with a view. The front desk clerk was great and the location is outstanding. Room very clean and well furnished. Awesome shower and very roomy. Only two drawbacks are for the price, I would expect a more comfortable bed and while on the balcony, the traffic is noisy. I would still stay here again though.

Very beautiful hotel located on the coastline of Morro Bay. The room was big and beautiful with a bay facing balcony, but is a little weathered around the edges. The reason for not 5 stars: the walls are THIN here. If anyone showered near your room, you heard every drop they used going through the pipes. We could also hear guests above walking on the creaky floor in the room above us, and guests next door who were simply talking/acting normally but could hear it through the wall. Also, partial bay view means mostly partial/the one story building took the bottom of the view away, but still could appreciate and enjoy a dinner on the balcony to the sun set :) Will probably stay again, just being honest to those who read these reviews!
Such a beautiful view of the bay and rock. Receptionist was super helpful and friendly! Got us a great rate and even better view. Couldnt ask for better service. Staff always welcomed you with a hello. Rooms were really clean and looked amazing. Would highly recommend!
This place is a little gem. Alexandra, at the front desk was very helpful in fixing a mixup on our reservation that was not their fault. She was very pleasant and patient. She got us the last room available for the night, which happened to be one of their smaller rooms. We were so pleased when we walked in to see the room, although not large in size, was immaculately clean, well appointed, pleasingly decorated, warm and inviting. Very nice night rest, with comfortable pillows and mattress. Shower felt great, i think the soap/shampoo dispenser is a great thing for the environment.We found the complimentary breakfast to be satisfying and more than sufficient.I would definitely stay here again.
Great Location. Rooms have pretty much everything covered. Were greeted by very friendly staff member. I have a criteria....was met pretty much. Good breakfast. One complaint....its not a small one.....guests very noisy. Walls very thin....loud boisterous voices....hot water system very loud. But a comfortable stay. Umbrella very thoughtful....robes...normally in the larger hotels. So very well done 456!
This is literally the BEST water-front hotel Ive ever stayed at on the central coast. I have traveled all over Cali, and Morro Bay is sure a memorable experience. There is no way you can get this type of rooms in SB or Montery for the same price. The rooms were very spacious with balcony overlooking the ocean. The view is simply breath-taking. Its right on the main street where all the shops, restaurants are. About less than a 1 mile hike to the Morro Rock. Me and my hubby ran along the waters in the morning and it was such a beautiful way to start the morning. If you are looking for a calm vacation thats away from all the chaos, then this is definitely the place to check out. Would come here again!!
This hotel is the perfect getaway I needed after staying indoors for the past couple of month due to Covid. Rooms are very clean and big. its right across the waters and very close to the dog park. My puppy and I had a great time. I really liked the fireplace and balcony. The front desk lady is also very friendly. You can tell the staff there really enjoys their job. they gave very good recommendations as to where to eat, hike etc. Weather at night is a bit chilly, but sitting in front of balcony and watch sunset, with a glass of wine is very nice! Morro Bay is not crowded. Before we had always traveled to pismo for vacation but theres just too many ppl there. here is perfect! highly recommend!!!
Nice clean room with a basic bathroom, cute gas fireplace. We were on the third floor so got a nice view of the bay and the rock. Bed was comfy but firm. Breakfast was decent. Waffles, bagels, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, all the basics. Overall it was a nice stay and would stay again.
Friendliest check in ever! My sister and I love to travel and the Central Coast is a favorite. We will be back to this hotel. Our room was upgraded, the view is perfect, the location is perfect, close to shopping and restaurants. Woke up to sounds of the bay. Rooms have balconies which we enjoy. Bedding is exquisite, bed is comfy cozy. On site covered parking and an indoor modern spa. Our room was spotless and spacious. Reasonable rates and breakfast included make The Embarcadero Inn a great place to stay and enjoy the coast.

We stayed on the 2nd floor with a bay view and loved it. The room was very clean, check in was simple. Mid week, 2 nights. The town of Morro Bay is really nice.
Good place to stay when you want to be close to downtown and not have to drive in or worry about parking. You can tell the owners try to keep the hotel nice with renovations and aesthetics and that is much appreciated. The breakfast is small, the rooms are nice with all rooms facing the bay. It was a little pricey but would recommend others to stay here.

The front desk, cleaning and maintenance staff are absolutely the very best you will ever find. Location is clean and quiet except for some morning traffic as trucks and cars Zoom down the Embarcadero heading to the area restaurants to unload for the day. We usually like to keep our gems kind of quiet, but in this case for the good of the operation, let it be known, this is our place every time we come to Morro Bay. Now hopefully well be able to find a room next time we come. :-)
Love this place especially because it is dog friendly. Beautiful view from balcony onto the bay and Morro Rock. Very close to restaurants and shopping. Rooms were very clean and cozy also love the fireplace.
We really enjoyed our stay and will stay there again. Location is nice and all the rooms face the bay. Quiet and clean as well. The balcony was a great place to hang out as the sun went down past the rock.
Nice boutique hotel at the end of the Embarcadero. Rooms are clean and reasonable price for the view and location. Cute marquee out front that will display a greeting for special occasions. Very pet friendly.
CARELESS MANAGEMENTVery unfortunate experience. My car was bumped in the back by one of the guests at the Embarcadero parking and never left a note.When we left we started working with the staff and the manager of the hotel to find out who was it by checking the recordings; the parking has cameras but they didnt seem they want to collaborate or even care about what happened in their installations.I was already back in LA so the embarcadero inn didnt want to take care of me; I called them and emailed them but they kept on saying to go to the police instead of checking the recordings to get that info to the insuranceDuring our stay our wifi was down several times and the housekeeping didnt clean our suite in the first morningMorro Bay is a beautiful place but the staff and the Manager is not up the standards. Poor customer service and bad manners over the phone.I went with my family (wife and two babies) and I would never recommend this place to any one
My best experience with hotels in Morro Bay. The staff is wonderful. What differentiates this hotel from others in this area is that walls and ceilings are very good at dampening sounds (still hearable, but people go to bed early here from my experience, unlike other hotels). The beds are also the rare ones Ive found to be comfortable. Many motels in this area have uncomfortably firm beds (like stone hard!), but these actually offer good back support. Also, the owners and staff are amazing and quick to address even minor issues. Finally, the fact that my two small dogs are very much welcome makes it a pleasure to stay there!
The location is nice . The view was excellent . It was off season so it was very quiet and relaxing . Our dog was welcomed which was really nice . The rooms were very clean . Our room had a fire place( gas) which was cozy for the off seasons cooler temps . Overall it was just a solid choice full of nice staff .
This is in a great location in Morro Bay.We had a large king sized room with a balcony that overlooked the water.It was spotlessly clean with plenty of towels.Very friendly staff who lent us binoculars to get great views of the sea otters and birds.Yes there are plenty of sea otters around.Best views are by the three stacks of the power station. There were four just lazing around on their backs. If you walk around towards the huge rock you will see more.You can also borrow bikes. There is plenty of parking at the hotel but also around the town. We were there on a busy weekend but had no problems finding parking spaces.The only thing I would say on a negative note is that the walls are very thin and noise carried into the room. We had to ask for music in the next room to be turned down. It really wasnt that loud but because of the walls we could hear it clearly. The management sorted it out immediately.
The room was very clean and Large. My complaint was with the front desk. He wasnt very friendly and also when we came to check out, he informed us that he already charged my card!! I have never had a Hotel charge my card. What if I didnt want to pay with that card?? My friend and I were going to split the cost of the hotel on 2 cards, but of course we were unable to do that !!! We just came from a very nice hotel luxury hotel at Pismo that we had no such problems. I will NEVER stay there again!
What a cozy little place a few blocks from the docks. Very relaxing place to stay. Quiet and well kept. You even get some bikes to ride around town if you want to use them. Check in and out was very easy and the room was perfect! Breakfast was amazing! They give you a menu and you order what you want off of it and they bring it to you in the morning!
Ideal location. Walking distance from downtown. Some rooms have great views of the bay and Morro Rock with small private patios. They even have a message board at the drive entrance that they put guest messages like Happy anniversary Mr. And Mrs. XXX. The room was clean, good size, comfortable beds, and I liked the layout.
Never stay here! The night time manager is just awful. He was very condescending to my wife and he seems like he doesnt want to be there because hes a successful day trader, or so he claims. We asked for an extra towel and he said that wed have to get it from the girl in the morning. What kind of hotel offers service like this?
Parking is covered and good! View us amazing. Staff are super personable, friendly and helpful. Hotel is near lots of restaurants, stores and cafes. Its dog friendly! Continental breakfast included. Walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors. Room is pretty huge, but outdated. They are currently renovating the rooms.
The hotel is right down on the embarcadero, and is walking distance from every thing. The rooms were very good. They were clean and very comfortable. Our room had a balcony that faced the Bay. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is pet friendly. I cant wait to return.
Harbor side, waterside park and the Embarcadero shops are all outside your door. Yes, that good of a location. Rooms well appointed and comfortable. Clean. Perfect for our 3 nights in Morro Bay.
Great service but the room wasnt that great. Room was on the 2nd floor but there isnt an elevator. The bathroom light fixture was held up by zip ties and the water pressure in the shower was a trickle. The bar soap that was provided for the bath/shower was probably no bigger than my thumb and good for washing one of my feet. The room was nice and clean though.
This place is amazing! We got a military discount. The rooms are so spacious! Plenty of room for us and our 2 large dogs. Ceiling fans, heaters, fireplaces, balconies! Weve found our forever place when staying at the coast ❤
This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Great front desk staff, easy check in and got an upgraded room too. Great location, view of the bay. The room was very clean and just remodeled. They have a fair pet fee and did not hear any sounds at night. Next time we are in Morro bay this is where we will be staying. The best hotel here.
I loved my stay. I was delightfully surprised by the many unique amenities because Ive never seen them elsewhere, they were brilliant and helpful, and the price for our stay was still reasonable. The parking area has multiple windshield cleaning stations and the room had a dog guest bundle with a water/food dish, dog treat, poop bag, and blanket for my pooch. We paid an extra $20 or $25 for my dog to stay but I didnt expect the goodies. The room was cute and perfectly sized. I was impressed by their refillable toiletry canisters for hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. This is a cute and much appreciated alternative to wasteful single use toiletries. The only downside was that I could smell urine from the area rug when I kneeled down close to it to pet my dog. I wish other hotels would follow 456s lead!
Our stay at embarcadero Inn was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was available for early check in and everything was very clean and neatly arranged. The room had a small guest book which many previous guests had written in. The continental breakfast had a good variety of food and was available for 3 hours a day. Great views, nice room, great staff.
There are no great hotels in Morro Bay but this could be the best. The bathroom was a bit dated but clean an functional. The biggest negative was the breakfast room where the offerings were a bit skimpy and uninspired. It is basically a coverted guest room that one can imagine being easily overwhelmed in an inconvenient rush. The staff is quite hospitable, however. Morro Bay is small enough to render location differences inconsequential.
Always pleasant and nice progressive look to the rooms. Nice fireplace and balcony with scenic views right out a postcard. You will be very comfortable here. Subterranean parking a plus with the downtown district at your fingertips.
Does NOT have free breakfast or hot tub. We called to verify they had an electric car charger as advertised. They confirmed, but when we arrived they said there would be a $7 charge to plug in our car to a basic electric outlet. No charging station. Rooms do not have a secondary manual lock, just a key card lock.
Needed a stay on my way to LA and found this to fit my needs for the night.Water pressure was alright in the shower, toilet, and sink. The shower draining might be a bit slow. The bathroom feels a bit cramped.Made good use of the 5 outlets that I found in the bed area.Parking lot available.Biggest downside is the very THIN walls. You can hear other peoples plumbing happening when theyre using the bathroom or shower. On the other side of the walls, you can hear the people next to you. This includes any sounds they may be making at night for however long it may be.BUT once the nighttime rituals were done and movements were stopped, the rooms were nice and quiet.
Great location... walk across the street to the bay. Town is small so you can walk anywhere from the hotel. Very helpful staff. We always enjoy the hot tub. The rooms are pretty standard, comfortable and very good price for what you get. Its where we stay when we go to Morro Bay.
Small rooms comfy beds good views it was OK I expected more . Small fridges super small bathrooms . Needs updated badly. Wonderful staff very friendly . The housekeeping needs work. Found a pubic hair in bathroom on the toilet and didnt offer a discount or anything
Really enjoyed our stay here. Very sweet front desk staff, the room was very clean and comfortable and the balcony was perfect.
Good for a place to stay for a short visit. Our accommodation was 2 bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen. Sounds nice but actually was pretty basic and spartan. We discovered the first night that the A/C wasnt working ar all and, the next day, found it was out for our entire building. That should really have been mentioned up front when we were booking our stay. Fortunately leaving the windows open wide helped since it was cool outside. The grounds could use a lot more care and attention (numerous tall weeds present). EXTREME CARE must be exercised when parking your car and even more care when backing out as the spaces are VERY TIGHT (you will definitely need a spotter).
We stayed here for a few nights in April 2012 in 2014 and again in 2015. Nice and close to everything. Rooms were clean with a small fireplace. Price was reasonable. However, current prices of $200 to nearly $300 a night are VERY overpriced.Bathrooms could use updating though. Nicer tubs perhaps with jets.Public Spa decor is Neanderthal though. Spa area could use some beautification and remodeling. I wouldnt use it.Building exterior is very utilitarian and lacking style and character.Parking under the hotel is off the street and free.Beds could use updating with a better grade of mattress with pillow tops.We like the place and usually stay there a few nights whenever we pass through on our bike up and down the coast. I love the small town feel of Morro Bay and the location of the hotel right on the water.
I love this hotel, every time I go to Morro Bay I stay there. The place is small, but the rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the personnel is always nice and helpful. Continental breakfast is served daily and they are conveniently located.
Nice little town/village area, the room is a little expensive but lovely memories here. Hotel staff are very friendly and pleasant to deal with. lady on the late night shift who talked to me over the phone at night went out of her way to help me find a restaurant because I checked in very late. room is nice and cosy, even found a notebook on the bed that details the dairy written by every customer who has lived in this room lol.only thing that i didnt like about this room was the liquid soap. because i prefer bar soap for a good wash.

Im not a frequent reviewer and Im a tough sell when it comes to dropping five stars on anybody. That said, this place was awesome-- from the staff, to the room, to the view/ location. It was clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. Breakfast is so-so, not quite what you get at the newer Holiday Inn Express (i.e. no hot food other than waffle maker) but an attentive staff person was on-hand making sure everything was stocked.
Nice, older hotel across from the harbor. Needs some maintenance, but kept clean. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants, quiet at night with great sunset views.
We found this motel during our trip from Seattle to San Diego. 2 adults traveling with our 18 month old.Dont let the outside fool you because everything was fantastic and we have no complaints! Jessica greeted us and checked us in promptly. She personally brought up the portable crib and linens which is always a plus for me. Rooms are clean and nicely done with a private balcony overlooking the marina. Included in room are a LCD TV, microwave, frig, DVD player and fireplace. Motel also offers unlimited DVD rentals which is nice.There are many restaurants and shops nearby to explore as well. overall, I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here for 1 night. The hotel is very nice. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Decent breakfast, although the breakfast area was pretty small. Ocean view from the room. Recommended.
Room was clean with great view of bay..I am local and decided to check the place out for a couple nights while my house was tented for termite eradication..With tax I paid $196 mid-week for a room with no heat, no bottled water, threadbare towels, and virtually no amenities...Shower/tub combo had dispenser for soap,shampoo, conditioner but none were labeled and the soap dispenser was empty...If none of that stuff matters, then this is a fine choice for someone who wants to be on the waterfront Embarcadero in Morro Bay. I decided not to spend a second night and moved to a place a block away with a better view and everything you could want for $155 incl tax.
Our stay at Embarcadero Inn was more than exceptional when we stayed the night on 7/25 for my birthday! Thank you so much for making me feel so special during our stay! And the view from our room? UH-MAZING!!! Definitely recommend!
We had a great room on the 3rd floor over looking the bay...it was the night they did the Christmas boat show!Note: there are other floor with balconies but only the 3rd floor was high enough to be over the facing buildings.Great customer service.
I was not sure if this place would be a good for the price type of place or an actual great place to stay. Well it was pretty much both! But I was really impressed with the overall feel of the place. It seemed like the owners cared about the place and the setup was warming and roomy. Would definitely come back.
Large spacious room, different view for different rooms. Clean, easy parking. Walking distance to many restaurants on the embarcadero. It is on the Embarcadero across the street from the bay.
A clean and comfortable place to stay with lots of room and a fireplace. We had a balcony which was nice and the room faced the rock but another house blocked the view. But it was a great place to lay our head for the night.

Morro Bay is like my second home. If I could afford it, Id move there in a second, no second thought. However this hotel was not as disability friendly as I was hoping and because Im a brain cancer and stroke survivor its very important for me to have that when I stay in a hotel. Besides that, everything was lovely, clean, and the staff were friendly.
Great location. Walking distance to most of the sites you will want to visit. Good service, clean rooms. Enjoyed leaving the window open a crack to hear the sounds of the bay.

Overall a nice place to stay while traveling up the CA coast. Beautiful location and it was really nice having a fire place in the room. Service was descent but nothing special. All the rooms have a great view of the bay. I would stay here again.

Very comfortable beds. They have a diary/journal in every room for guest to read and write there adventures of morro bay in. The only thing I didnt like was the room had hardwood floors.

Great place to stay on the embarcadero. Large comfortable beds with lots of pillows. The rooms also have a journal which is fun to read and add to. There is a hot tub which is wonderful to soak in after strolling the embarcadero all afternoon.
Very clean great little details shows that they want to do everything they can to insure that you have a good stay. We brought our dog and had this waiting for when we arrived. The sunset picture was from our private balcony.
If you are looking for a relaxing stay, this is the place! Quiet but family friendly, spacious rooms, and great views. The hot tub was a great end to our evening. Plenty of fun shops and seafood restaurants.

Not worth the money! The room was not clean, ironing board had something all over it, no bag for ice machine, no toiletries in room (just some communal thing that looked crusty and was not secured so I dont really know what is in them) the robes had holes and spots on them, and absolutely so front desk service after 10 pm. Because no-one is here! Have an emergency? Need extra towels, tp, whatever? too bad. Hot tub is only open 3-9 so dont think youre going in before check out! Really disappointing for $330 a night
Such a beautiful stay, pet friendly, super clean, and nice people. Amenities are all included. There was a refrigerator, microwave, and even dog amenities for my little one. I especially enjoyed the memory book.
Nice rooms amd a convenient location right on the embarcadero! It is walking distance to the watetfront restaurants, shops and Morro Rock. It had a decent view of the water from the room. Its also close to the Morro Bay State Park. Reasonable price. Breakfast was included. Great experience!
Wonderfully kind and interested hosts. Locally owned with pride and it shows. Clean remodeled rooms. Nice views with balconies. Some rooms have fireplaces. Short walk to restaurants. Decent rates.

Stax is a Morro Bay gem. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. You must try the ultimate crostini, and the carnitas tacos. They have a great wine selection as well as a very good draft beer selection. We come to Morro bay often and this is always our first stop!
The most expensive hotel in town 200 a night. Charges 25 plus tax for each day for each pet. Room has no AC or air filter. Ive stayed here like 5 times and the quality just went down and price keeps going up.

Love the new remodel. Everything so new and updated and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. All pro except for being on the second floor you can hear those above you walk around a bit. Nice and relaxing views.

The view from the balcony is awesome. The room I stayed in was a king room with fireplace and a living room. I was nicely furnished with modern feel. The staff was very helpful and kind.
We have stayed here many times but this was the first time we were ever told if there was a problem with the room key, or if it was lost or locked in the room we were not going to be able to get another one until after 8:30 the NEXT morning when the office reopened. So you pay for the room and they wont help you out if needed? Poor customer service.

I like the close distance to shops and restaurants but what I didnt like was I had dirty sheets and pillow case. I didnt tell them right away because my son was asleep so I waited. Well the manager and housekeeper came in and started interrogating me and being rude to me in front of my son. Putting the blame on me when I didnt in that bed. Wasnt a fun experience
Incredible family suite, clean and comfortable. Easy walks to restaurants and shopping for the ladies. Cant beat the price, personnel are very professional and courteous. Would recommend to anyone, already booking for next years July 4th.

Most comfortable bed Ive ever slept on and the view from the room was epic! Balcony looked out to the bay and you could see party boats going by less than a football field away!

Stay clear of this catastrophe of an operation. The owner is an egomaniac and it’s hard to even get a phone answered. We booked months ago for thanksgiving week to come visit with our family. They have lost the reservation for their rooms that can accommodate a family the size of mine, and can’t promise adjoining rooms

The front desk lady was super nice..had a cute dog to pet while I was waiting. Negative: I would stay again. Fluffy bedding. Great little balcony to enjoy the evening. Plenty of parking. However, there is a great place to get coffee up the street. Rudie’s Rock Espresso that opens at 6a on the weekends. Walking distance to all the shops. Great view from our partial view balcony. We would definitely stay here again.

Partial ocean view is actually quite expansive of the harbor, rock, and ocean in the distance. Barking sea lions lull one to sleep if you leave the patio door open.Desk service was bright and cheery.

2023-09-02 01:15:23We really loved this place for our one-night stay! Its an older motel-style property with outdoor hallways that has been updated and restored. Theres no breakfast with the room, but plenty of options for breakfast less than a block away. For the price, its a great value. Our room had a partial view of the bay and the rock, with a small balcony. The front-desk folks were very friendly and helpful, loaning us a corkscrew because we forgot one. Its impossible to beat the location, right on Embarcadero near all sorts of restaurants, shops, and things to do.

Negative: If there was anything that would need an improvement would be to have softer bedding sheets and a continental breakfast.To me that would be over the top! Thank you!
