Great service and even better steaks. Excellent atmosphere for our party of 6. Got the ribeye medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. Even became adventurous and tried the Spanish Octopus appetizer...it was delicious. Been here for my birthday the last 3 years will keep coming back!

Came here for my 3 year anniversary with my boyfriend and was greeted with judgement, from what I can assume was because we are young or colored? Me and my boyfriend are 18 and I’m Mexican, while my boyfriend is mixed Mexican and black. We entered and was greeted by kind staff then a king waitress but then as the night went on we noticed a very tall man in a suit looking at us with judgement, walking by checking on every table except us. From what I can assume it was a manager. But we go on regardless and I have a seafood allergy and looking at the menu the whole appetizer menu is basically unavailable so disappointed I don’t order any, and just get the spaghetti without the shrimp. The spaghetti is mediocre but my boyfriend said his steak was extremely good but the real star was the chocolate soufflé if you choose to come here its is the best thing on the menu.

Wow! Just let me tell you this steak MELTED in my mouth. I was hesitant about the price before coming here but yes it is worth it!! They are also super receptive to allergies which is great! Just let them know. The beets came with pine nuts as well FYI. Joe at the bar knows EXACTLY what he’s doing and is fantastic at making drinks! Highly recommend stopping by and letting Joe serve you a cocktail!

Love it!! Food was just amazing!!! Cooked just right !! Service was exceptional !! Ever since me & my husband entered the restaurant server, manager and couple other works was checking on us to make sure everything is Okay and we dont need anything!!We ordered from the daily cut 45 day dry cut steak, was the best steak I ever ate in my life !! Was somehow pricey but worth it !!And after having our main dish we ordered chocolate lava cake was just delicious but couldnt finish it.Honestly was an exceptional experience. Would definitely visit it again

The prime ribeye steak is out of this world. I’ve tried many steakhouses in the east coast and this by far can easily be one of my favorites. The general managers were walking around and made sure everyone was well taken care of. Beautiful patio seatings. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves steaks.

So worth them $$$. We had a blast! The waiter was so engaging. He had us do movie trivia, dinosaurs, and animal names… No phones could be used. This kept us busy while our meal was being prepared and during the time he stepped away. This was a first and we loved it! Food… simply delicious to the last morsel.

Food was mediocre for the prices on the menu. I would highly recommend the chef clean the grill. Everything we ordered that was prepared on the grill tasted burnt. Even though we didn’t order blackened steak, it was charred and just tasted burnt. The broccolini was charred however it tasted burnt. I asked to swap it for something else and they gave me spinach that was sautéed. I ordered the crab bisque and it tasted like tomato soup, nothing to write home about.I did however enjoy the pan seared ahi tuna, unfortunately 555 is a steakhouse, I should enjoy the steak more.For dessert I ordered the butter cake. It was ok, again nothing to write home about.We had reservations at 6:15 however we weren’t seated until 6:45. It was extremely busy. Staff was nice and attentive. Would I go back for a special occasion? Probably not.

Classic steakhouse top to bottom. Great steaks, especially the aged cuts. All the classic sides steaks and souffle are very good. Service is good, but it felt like it slipped a little from last visit, but better than other spots. Best thing about 555... no corkage fee! They dont pressure you to buy there wines either. Rare these days an very much appreciated. Looking for a classic steakhouse, this is perfect.

I had a really good time when I took my daughter here. The atmosphere is cozy and functional. The staff are all very kind and helpful. I dont remember my servers name but shes a young woman with very pretty, dark, curly hair. My daughter and I ordered the goat cheese appetizer and a steak dinner each. The goat cheese platter was perfect as an appetizer, not too much and not too little. The tomatoes and garlic was perfect with the bread and goat cheese. Our steaks came out perfect, its the first time I found a place that knows how to cook a steak to the temperature requested! Also, their steak absolutely doesnt NOT need steak sauce as other establishments. Such a rare find. I also spoke with the manager Selena and she was extremely polite and warm, making me feel very welcomed and appreciated as a patron. I will definitely come back for more amazing food and top notch service!

5 star top shelf restaurant. It is expensive, but you will get great service and food for the price. I had the grass fed steak. The finish is amazing. I got it with the blue cheese. Do not do it. Blue cheese is great, but the steaks are too good to drown the flavor in blue cheese. I recommend the mushroom add-on. One order is enough for the table.

Had a wonderful meal here while in town for work. Our server, Rachel, was absolutely fantastic. She had great recommendations on appetizers, wine, entrees, and add-ons. I had the New York strip pepper steak style. Everything came out hot and was super tasty. Highly recommend!

Its not for everyone, because not everyone likes to sing along with the piano player like I did on Thanksgiving in a full bar.This was another celebration days ago. We are now residing in a new city and chose to leave Long Beach with a bang not a whimper!I had king salmon with a baked while mother had filet mignon. We all started with calamari and crab cakes.Everything from the service to the [same] piano player who I called King Richard, added to the splendor of our visit.From the hostesses, to the server ours was Leslie to the busboys to the manager everyone everyone was so helpful...And yes, I sang along again with a young man at the next table who was also a thespian.Again, we sang along with King 👑 Richard = Day By Day from Godspell.Touché! My whole family always have a great experience here. Make sure you do whatever you can to get Ray as your server! He’s very attentive, knowledgeable about the steaks and gives you great recommendations that never miss! The food is amazing of course but the service is what sets this place apart. The Spanish octopus a la plancha is a must order appetizer! You wont regret it. For the main plates, we had the bone in rib eye and the pan seared yellow fin tuna ahi plate. The tuna came only with a side of white rice. I think it should be salad but thats my opinion. Both plates were still flavorful and delicious. We ordered the Roasted beets salad on the side and it comes with yogurt and goat cheese.The ambiance is comfortable and cozy. Very heart warming as they have the Christmas tree and lights out.Our waiter was amazing and very knowledgeable. We had tons of questions about the food and he was able to answer all of them. He also made sure we were well hydrated.

Pretty disappointed in the service and overall experience. Also the air conditioner was out so we were sweating it out, no circulation or fans or anything. I wish they would have told us sooner we would have rather sat outside on the patio. love the sea bass but red cabbage just should not be part of this dish. The steaks are really good but when your swaeting so much it just made it not the best dining experience and for the amount your spending your want to be comfortable and enjoy your meal. I wish they would have dealt with it better.

My best friend had her birthday dinner here, and the service and food were excellent. They had messed up our pre-fixed menu, so we had to wait for them to re-print the menus for our party, but they comped an order of oysters for the entire table. Our servers were fantastic, and overall we had a lovely experience. The Triple Nickel/555 has never let me down with their quality of service and the food has always been consistently top tier.

A few days late on my review...For this being our 1st time to dine at 555 E Steakhouse, we had a great time. The staff, from the valet to the hostess to the food servers, everyone we encountered with was nice & courteous.Our waiter, RAY! 2 thumbs up. His approach, customer service was absolutely awesome. His presentation from start of breaking down the menu to his recommendation, along with his personal favorites was impressive. His explanation on flavors of the steaks, was on point. We had a great meal, and an even better server. Ask to be seated in the section Ray is working. He is very knowledgeable of the menu, has a deep understanding of wine and alcohol, and gives great customer service.We ordered a 10 year aged port and crab cakes to start, and for the entrees we had steak and lobster. The rib eye is to die for. It was cooked to perfection.A guy named Nathan, who I believe is some kind of manager, checked up on us as well and had great customer service. He made sure that everything was living up to our standards. It was our first time coming here but it definitely won’t be our last. Fancy steak house with option to buy by the ounce. Id give it 4.5 stars, but i rounded up. Steaks were good, but nothing special.Food - it was good, but didnt impress. they had options to buy by the ounce, so i shared a 120 day aged rib eye. It didnt seem as tasty as other steaks. it was still good, but nothing special for the price paid. other people at the table also ordered aged steaks while others just ordered the normal. we did informal taste test and no one could really tell difference. we also ordered octopus, goat cheese in grape leaf and artichokes (not as good as Hou_____) The baked potatoes were huge and looked good. im not a baked potato fan because i think they fill you up, but it was a spectacle.Ambiance - old school steak house feel, but more progressive wait staff. The look and initial feel was old man steak house but the servers and host kept the atmosphere more young and modern.Cost - only a little bit more than normal steak house. when they sell something by the ounce, you need to prepare yourself. And it is weighed pre-aged so you actually get less with the aged steaks.Service - the servers and host kept the atmosphere up beat. generally good service.

I have been to 555 Steakhouse twice. Both times the food was very good. Most recently I had the New England clam chowder and the tomato burrata salad. The chowder was very rich and had a reasonable amount of clams in it. The tomato and burrata had heirloom tomatoes, which were especially nice. The service is always solid and it has an upbeat and lively atmosphere.

I always appreciate a high-end restaurants that at least offer you a side with steak and not charges you an arm and a leg for a side. The steak had very good flavor and it was easy to eat.

This is my second time coming to this restaurant. Both times were absolutely amazing. The first time we sat outside on the patio for dinner, this time it was inside. Both are just as good. The customer service in this restaurant is beyond amazing, we had a server name Beau and he was so nice. He went over the menu and even suggested what he felt was best when it came to the different cuts in ages of the beef. Came here for date night. My partner and I have never been to a fancy steakhouse before so we decided to come by here. It was incredible!!! I order a soup, I cant remember which one but it was very flavorful. I want to say it was some lobster soup. The table also comes with fresh bread and butter. I ordered a fish dish with some vegetables. I wasnt too impressed with it because the portion was pretty small but the fish was fresh. My partner ordered a filet mignon with a baked potato and that was literally the best steak I had ever tasted. The baked potato was out of this world too!! The flavors were perfect and satisfying!

Went here for the first time with a small group. Valet is $8; an option to consider if you are not using Uber/Lyft or the like in this area. The ambiance is cozy but high end, and the customer service is attentive and expedient. The prime ribeye and mashed potatoes were great. The goat cheese appetizer and butter cake dessert were the stars of the evening, delicious bite after bite. Both appetizer and dessert are sized to share.

10-year anniversary dinner here was great. Wifey got Surf&Turf with a side of sauteed mushrooms, and I got American Wagyu 12 oz. with a side of asparagus. We werent a big fan of the mushrooms, but everything else was fantastic. For appetizers, we chose calamari, which didnt disappoint. Serving portions were great as well. Cocktail drinks were also good. She had two different drinks, the first one (which she preferred) el diablo, the second which was a berry margarita. I had the Old Sicilian, which I ended up getting two of. Overall, good service, good food, and a nice setting.

Have to start my review off with the service of course. My server was Paul, great, friendly, and engaging. I didnt ask for any recommendations, but I knew what I wanted, but I could hear Paul speaking to other guests giving recommendations for their orders when asked about certain things. Very knowledgeable with the alcohol they have on hand and the steaks they serve within the restaurant. To the part thats really important, the food. As a starter they give you some nice warm breads with a nob of room temp butter which reminds of a certain restaurant that specializes in cheesecakes. For the appetizer we got the meatballs, it comes served with 3 meatballs not 2 it was flavored jam packed with complimenting spices, very moist and tender, smothered in their marina/tomato sauce topped with some melted mozerella, complimented by a side of 3 sticks of garlic style bread cheese sticks. For the main course we ordered 2 separate 10 Oz New York strip steaks medium-rare. I ordered mines with the side of garlic mash, my partner the fries. We also did the add-ons for both (located at the bottom - price varies with options of course) I got the Lobster tail which is cheaper if you plan to order one just order it with the steak saving you about $15 at this time. My partner got the Danish Bleu Cheese topped onto her steak, she said it added more flavor than my steak, which I disagreed because I really love my steaks plain and simple. Overall steak was juicy, very tender, and well rested with a perfect cook medium-rare. The garlic mash was well seasoned and very smooth, the fries were nice and crispy yet tender in the middle. The Lobster Tail was worth it for me as it was very flavorful and partnered with its simple butter dip, it was amazing.

My friend tried the 22oz 30 day aged new York stripe, and it was quite good as well.The service was great and the only reason why Im giving them 4 star was the our server was not wearing a mask and I could feel his spit as he was asking us how was our food. We had our Thanksgiving dinner here. It was excellent! We made our reservations 3 weeks ahead of time, so we got seated right away. The food and drinks were Excellent! We had reservations for 8:30 and we didnt get seated till 9:20 . The food was not good enough for the wait. I ordered wagyu steak and was not impressed. Ive had tastier steak from Outback, Sizzler, amongst other places . The greeter was very polite and kind . She apologized many times for the delay. I was there to give a presentation, and even though I didnt have to pay for my meal period, I thought the service was average at best. I asked for my food to go. It completely got my order wrong. Im vegetarian I ask for a pasta without garlic, tons of garlic. They also did not pack my dessert.For the amount of money that the company spent I would have expected better service at least. I understand being a vegetarian and going to a steakhouse I cant expect good food. But good service is always a must!There is valet parking.

Nye 10:45 reservation. We waited about 20 minutes for a table. Our server was pleasant but perhaps busier than the waiter serving tables next to us. The guests who were seated after we were seated, had their courses delivered at same time as ours were. Why is this important? We had ordered souffle as dessert from the prix fixer menu. We placed this order at time of ordering entree. Around 11:15 pm. Our entree was brought to table around 12:25 am. By the time for dessert, the restaurant only had cheesecake and chocolate torte cake. Being so late, we just wanted to take dessert with us. We asked for 1 cheesecake and 1 chocolate torte...when we arrived home, the rest packed 2 pieces of cheese cake instead of the choc torte. Also, to save time and room in our tummies for the entree, we requested our steakhouse iceburg salads to just be packed to take home. When I opened it today, there was only a tiny slice of tomato, a very small blue cheese dressing, a few crumbles if bacon. Thats barely a salad. Our dinner cost a whopping 269.00 then add on a tip, for a total of 300 plus. I had high expectations of this restaurant. If it was too late to deliver whats ordered off their menu, they shouldnt offer later seating, and we arrived at 10:40pm, How were we leaving after 1am and not have the items we selected? valet parking cost 8.00. Plus a well deserved tip.The good: great festive atmosphere in restaurant. Lovely wine selection. Stags Leap by the glass! Also given a champagne fluke for midnight cheer. Warm bread with tasty butter. Crab cake with tartar sauce was a pleasure, real crab pieces formed this cake that was cooked to have a nice crust. I had Chilean sea bass. Perfectly cooked. Squash medley was the veggie. The seeded center was removed making the squash, firm and beautiful in color. The garlic mash, were a true pommel pure, creamy with an essence of fresh green garlic, I believe . My dining companion had the Wagyu NY strip. Unfortunately, a medium rare was rare, with supposed marbling, being more like strips of uncooked fat throughout the meat. The steak was sent back for further cooking, but it never tastes of the original flavor when recooked. 20.00 was added on for wagyu, we were not informed.Conclusion: we will try this restaurant another day when not an event. Go earlier in the evening.

In town for a conference. For the cost the best 555 is going to get is a 3/5.Dirty martini = horrible. Olives were gross and filled with hard processed blue cheese. 🤮Wedge = horrible. It was 1/2 a head of lettuce covered in fatty mushy bacon + what was super weird was that it was covered in cottage cheese…. 🤮 🤮16 oz Ribeye = this was the only redeeming part of the meal and what made this meal a 2 star rather than a 1 star

Was in Long beach for a business trip and two of my colleagues and I decide to come here for dinner. We were craving steak and 555 East steakhouse did not disappoint! One of them got the filet mignon medallions he said they were very good and perfect medium rare, I got the dry-aged rib eye which was extremely delicious, and our other colleague got a carbonara which he said was excellent. Very nice dinner place, great customer service! The employees really know how to take care of their customers, such an impressive team. I usually dont post reviews but our experience here was great. Will definitely be coming back when in the area agian.

This is definitely a must visit place when in Long Beach...I have never had a steak so tender and juicy. You cut into the steak and it takes no effort and practically melts in your mouth. The sauce to dip your steak into is so tasty. I just wanted to keep eating it! Very good suggestion to make a reservation to ensure you get in because it fills up pretty fast. The ambiance is very chill and upscale yet relaxed. Their desserts are a must try and more than likely wont be able to finish but worth the buy. Price range is on the higher end but you will not be disappointed. I cant wait to go back.

The filet was really good..I ordered it medium and I got a medium! Plus it was just the right amount at 8oz. I loved how it came with one side of potato, that was a pleasant surprise. I wasnt impressed with the presentation of the food, but I dont really mind. He got the ribeye but I liked my filet better. Service was great... Michael our server was awesome.We ordered the butter cake but it was taking too long. We tried to cancel it because we had a show to catch.. But they still gave it to us to go free of charge. The manager even came to our table to deliver it and apologize. That was above and beyond he really didnt need to do that And thats why they get a 5.

Order a Ocean Blvd to start the night, crab cakes were delicious as well as the BBQ shrimp. For the main course we ordered 60 day 18 Oz bone in New York ribeye, I was NEVER a steak eater before. For some reason middle of last year I started craving steak out of no where. This is now my fourth time eating a steak. Ruth Chris was the first, it was about 7 out of 10. The one I made myself was about a 5, I bought another from somewhere it was definitely a 2 and almost made me not want steak anymore. But this one I got from 555 was absolutely a 10. And thats before I used the sauce on the side.

Excellent steak choices. I order a lot of porterhouse. I order a lot of bone-in ribeye. We ordered two ribeyes 90-day dry-aged 23oz or 26 (dont remember.) because we wanted to have dinner out somewhere nice and to eat while we were out and enjoy the food the same day we ordered it. We each asked for medium. Industry standard for medium. We received rare. We got to eat the edges and had no choice but to take the rest home and cook the next day. They were excellent and full of flavor.The stars are for not knowing difference between rare and medium.

Simply one of, if not the best independent steakhouse in LA and OC. Legitimately dry aged steaks, a scratch bar, elaborately well prepared appetizers, entrees and desserts. I found 555 East on Google and the pictures online didnt even do the fantastic meal justice. We started with a shrimp cocktail, followed by a main course of 38oz Chateaubriand with roasted mushrooms and fire roasted broccolini with feta, paired with a fantastic 2017 Duckhorn Pinot Noir, finished off by a chocolate soufflé for dessert. Needless to say everything was delicious!The ambiance was fantastic, definitely on the fancier side of things. Its a great excuse for the ladies to dress up and wear that nice black cocktail dress, and for guys to wear that cool sport coat and dressy jeans.The service was excellent as well, everything youd expect from an upscale steakhouse.I highly recommend it!

This place was decent. One of my nephews fave steakhouses near where he lives on 3rd and Magnolia. Clam chowder was good, steak was a 6/10. My sister had a chicken pasta that she fancied quite a bit. Bread was warm and delicious. Server, Resha (I think that was her name) was absolutely great; She was patient and attentive. I would go back again and order the chicken pasta my sister had.

Had a great dinner here last night. 4 stars because of a tasty dinner, soso about valet. QR code menu, the menu by oz of very confusing so our server went over it and it still didn’t make sense. So we ordered what we knew. We ordered the filet 12oz and ribeye. Our server was attentive and the steaks came out perfect. I liked the fries better than the garlic mash potatoes; as they were lacking flavor. The butter cake was tasty, but towards the center became doughy and bland in the center. The valet ppl were doing alright till a guy came up after we were waiting for a few minutes, we were skipped because the other car was parked closer, which resulted in the next car getting pulled up before us as well, so we watched 3 cars go through and it was a little chilly so it would have been nice to have not been skipped. Overall had a fun experience, and they do make very high quality steaks.

The 555 has been around for almost 40 years. The quality of their food, the service, and the atmosphere are all beyond reproach. We havent had a bad meal there. Today was our latest visit. Our server, Oscar, made our 39th wedding anniversary dinner a wonderful experience. He was incredibly kind, warm, and attentive. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, the butternut squash side dish incredibly delicious, and the creme brulee to finish it off, was absolutely divine.

We had a small issue with the taste of a side we ordered, however the GM Dominic was so gracious and cleared it up immediately. The steak, appetizer and salad is a 5. I gave it a 4 because the Chocolate Souffle while flavorful and rich, was pretty dry towards the bottom.

This place has roaches and Im not trying to sabotage this place because I know how I would feel but this really happen to us on mothers day while me n my wife were sitting on the patio a roach fell down from the roof n landed on our table and on to our food which was not kool. And for the results were that they pushed 100 dollar gift card on us. We also got a call from the corporate office and her name was Daniel she was rude and didnt care for my wifes experience and was just trying just say that the case is closed because of the staff that night was being rude as well about it and they took my anger and ran with it like they won the case when I never did nothing wrong just was upset at the problem and that they was just trying to run us out without giving us fair deal.

Was looking to try out an amazing dry aged steak in the area and landed on 555. It a nice place inside and the service was great. The portion was huge and you definitely leave full, even after sharing the pictured meal below between two people (plus some yummy bread for the table) the only reason it gets 4 stars is that the flavor could have been more wowing. It should have been really. It was good just not wowing. It just left a little something to be desired after preparing my tastebuds to expect the flavor from the price point. But it still earned 4 starts so it was good.

You tried to sit me in the black section but it was full so you sat my fiancé and me in a big family table away from the restaurant. There is literally nothing you will say to me that will change your policy. You will always have a section where you put black people. Right? The tables next to the kitchen door, do you or don’t you sit black people there? Answer honestly please..—————-There were two other black couples there the night that we went, so the area they designate for their black customers was all filled up. We had to wait an hour until I asked the manager how much longer we could expect to wait even though we had a reservation. He chose to seat us inside even though we requested outside and sat us at a family sized table in the back. I was absolutely shocked being that I pass by this place every morning on my dog walk for the past 5 years. I live in the current one block away. I see this place from my balcony. It actually hurt that my $500 at 555 doesn’t go as far as a white persons $500. This is one of the most diverse areas in the world. I’m not sure how they get away with this here. But I’m glad to have finally chose to eat at this place. This place has a facade of high class but it’s really it’s impossible to look at people eating there as anything less than low class. If you’re someone who doesn’t enjoy seeing others get less for their money than you do then this place def isn’t for you. There is definitely a racial system at 555 that is based on your race.Outside of my $500 being given to people who I feel are racist, the food was ok. There were a lot of flies so it felt low class in many ways. Our waitress was very nice and she said that she noticed us while we were waiting at the bar for so long and offered us a free drink without us even showing our displeasure. She was the only highlight of this experience.I don’t recommend this place. I own a tech marketing agency in Long Beach and I definitely will have my friends, colleagues and family avoid this place and protest.

The food and service was great! Our party of five was impressed with the exquisite food. Unfortunately having dinner in their outside tent on the street was not as impressive. The expectation of going to the restaurant was to have a lovely dinner inside the restaurant with the ambiance, music and warmth. My dinner party was wondering why we were having dinner on the street with the flapping plastic walls, sirens and cold breeze in the background. I was embarrassed I made reservations for a special occasion here. The restaurant needs to make sure they let their guests know making reservations doesnt reserve a place in the restaurant and you may end up eating your dinner outside of the restaurant in a plastic tent located on the street.

Thirty-five years ago (8/12/87) I had the best, last, first date ever when I met my wife here. Meeting just for drinks turned into dinner and getting married a year later. I made the effort to get us back to the 555 for our 30th wedding anniversary and the Manager came over to congratulate us. Very nice restaurant! Our waiter was very attentive to our table. I went for a business dinner and the waiter would hold off on interrupting when we seemed deep in discussion and waited for either a lull in conversation or laughter to come by. He was great! The food and drinks were great! The lack of 5 star rating is bc when I first arrived, I was in the foyer and ignored for about 5 minutes before anyone came over to ask me if I even had a reservation. The staff saw me come in, looked at me, spoke to the people needing to be seated, took them to their seats, came back, continued on with their conversation and then left. Eventually, one of the staff came over and asked me if anyone had helped me and was very nice. The rest of the evening was amazing!

Our daughter wanted to take her Dad out for a steak dinner for his birthday, the day after Fathers day. I chose the Filet mignon medallions. The quality of the meat was excellent! The topping were all excellent. I could not decide which one I liked better. We had crab cakes which were a great start. The staff was excellent! Was it a little pricey? Yes, but I do feel like I received the quality and service we payed for. If you are looking for a great steak dinner, you will not be disappointed here.

Went with my dad and we both got the calamari to start and both got the new york strip. the steak was amazing, one of the best I ever had. reminded why you got a steakhouse when you want a good steak because they know what they are doing. defiently have the has look of old-fashion steakhouse, but still felt up to date. my only problem was the sauce flight was 3 for 9, but was a tiny amount. honestly you didnt need them, but for that price i would have expected a healthy portion. for dessert I got the creme Brulee which was very good and massive, perfect for two people to share.

My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate our 4 year anniversary. We were happy with the food and service provided by the staff, the only thing that I wished was that we should’ve asked if a heater could of been placed next to us lol. I would give this place 3 stars, for the service, appetizers, ambiance and prices. I don’t know if it’s because we were a late reservation time (9:15pm), and the cooks were ready to leave but what our group found was that the Mac n cheese noodles were over cooked and lacked flavor, the broccolini were tough like tree branches, my filet mignon was way undercooked, very rare, when I asked for medium, my friends ribeye was way over cooked when she asked for medium well, the ribeye also lacked flavor, and the baked potatoes was way over cooked as well. Skin was so hard. Considering this place is a steakhouse, you’d expect your steaks to be perfect. Probably won’t come back.

This was our first time at the 555. Our experience started with the valet. They were very friendly and helpful. Their clothing was neat. Upon entering, we were met by the hostess who promptly led us to our table. The ambiance was nice and had a comfortable feel to it.We were promptly met by our waiter who was friendly and had a great personality. He explained the menu and wine list very well. His knowledge of the of how the food is prepared was great. Based on his suggestions we ordered Seabass and A5 Waygu beef plus the dinner comes with 1 appetizer vs other places where you have to purchase them.The seabass was absolutely beyond delicious. Ive never had waygu beef from Japan. A5 is the absolute top rated. The waygu was pure melt in your mouth extravagance.The creme brulee was the best! it was on the house as it was my girlfriends birthday. I ordered a rich..decadent..yummy....delicious chocolate dessert simulare to a lava cake. We were not disappointed one bit.Our experience was fantastic!! We definitely will be going back! Ive been to many steak houses, this tops all. We will be going back, we were treated like a king and queen.

All I ordered was a NY strip steak with mushrooms and mash sides. Beer to start. Glass of merlot to keep me going. By the way, the soft bread rolls they give you are AMAZING. The steak took 38 minutes to arrive. They kept apologising and both the waitress and the manager were superb in keeping me appraised. But then my medium rare steak arrived and was most definitely medium.Dont get me wrong, it was a fantastic steak. The wine I had was delicious. The mushrooms were divine. The mash was good.The mushrooms are a side costing $15 and you get about 45 medium sized button mushrooms glazed in a balsamic coating. But I was dining alone. How can they justify forcing me to waste half of those perfectly lovely mushrooms. Offer me an $8 bowl if Im alone. Surely?I want to give a big shout out to my waitress Shadi, who was awesome and delightful in equal measure.I will be back soon, the ambience is great, the food is clearly brilliant, and the service is amazing. I just happened to get a 90% night instead of their normal 100%

Anyways I’m writing this review because last night the management touched my heart. Tonight, after a long and exhausting two weeks of work, I played Google Restaurant roulette, and I was certainly lucky.Quick, efficient seating arriving early after booking through Open Table. Upon seating, the back waiter informed me that fresh bread would be coming out shortly, and that my waiter would be there momentarily.As promised, my waiter arrived and asked if I needed a beverage or glass of wine, and as those of my followers know, within moments a double Tito’s and soda with two limes appeared, along with the delicious, crisp rolls which the back waiter promised. Perfectly crisp exterior, and a beautiful chewy center were soon slathered in butter. Delicious.When asked if I’d care for an appetizer, I went true old-fashioned and asked for a fresh shrimp cocktail. I also explained to the waiter that I had been through an extremely two long work weeks previously, and that I just wanted to enjoy a nice, slow experience of dining and taking the evening to savor the local flavor. He was quite understanding, and gave me the inattentive/attentive service one truly appreciates when dining alone, giving oneself some time to unwind.When it came to ordering my main course, again, I went with an old-fashioned, perfectly aged New York Strip, cooked medium, with the suggested caramelized onion and mushrooms.One word. Sublime. Truly the perfect meal.While a bit pricey, I think it is worth every cent.If you find yourself in this area, I highly recommend this as a “must go to.” And if Brad is working that night, request him. 555 is always a good steakhouse option in Long Beach. Ambience is nice, steaks are solid, and the oysters are always on point. I would expect them to have a better selection of whiskey/bourbon, but maybe thats just my preference. Service hasnt been as good the last couple of times Ive gone, but with the current labor shortage I dont hold that against them. Overall Id continue to recommend this place for a nice lunch or dinner.

Nice vibe! Eccentric piano player! Top notch service and integrated staff! I ordered the chicken dinner. Very tasty. Unfortunately the mac n chz fell flat for me and they didnt have baked potatoes available that night :( The calamari was a bit chewy but fresh. The tiramisu was a delight!!
