I am so happy they finally opened one in the area... Unfortunately is super small compare to the other 85°, not as much variety and service is not greatest, but at least we have one, the taro pastries are delicious as well as the mango and coconut. Taro latte is also good and of course the prices are very affordable. Cant compare to other bakeries, since this one is Taiwanese, in other words very different from Spanish pastries and breads, if you want good Cuban pastries and desserts must go to Tropicana where you will find the authentic winner.

Wow, this place was PURE Heaven! I had never heard of 85c bakery until my girlfriend brought me here on our trip to LA. I dont think Ive ever eaten so many carbs in a day but it was worth it to try so many different ones from what their selection is. Drink choices were super abundant as well and everything looks very clean. My only recommendation for improving is that the majority of all tables in the restaurant were un balanced including the outside ones. minor fix for a even more pleasant experience. Thank you for making my pastry dreams come true 🤣

Very good spot. A lot of sweet and savory options. The drink are very good, too, and I dont think theyre expensive. Definitely worth multiple trips to try everything. Good amount of parking as it is in a shopping plaza.

This is a place is a very nice and relaxed. Its clean, appealing and the people are friendly and welcoming. They have a nice variety of pastries as well as hot teas, coffee and iced drinks to select from. I ordered a hot rose milk tea and a blueberry cheesecake both delicious. I am definitely going back and I do recommend it!

A Bakery unlike no other. Weve been 85C customers of there DTLA store for some years now and were so happy to find this one in South Gate. They have something for everyoneThey chocolate chip bread bowl super delicious! The bacon and cheese is my sons favorite, and I love the freshness of all their selections. I’ve been going to 85 degrees for years, my favorite location is Irvine mostly because their bread is fresh and customer service is excellent. I decided to try this location on a few occasions and the customer service is not so great. You ask a question and they simply don’t answer, you ask about a specific bread that’s not there and the girl won’t check if there’s more available she simply walked away and never came back, my husband asked for sugar and the barista didn’t respond.. you always ask nice, but it doesn’t make a difference 🫤🤔

The Hispanic girl in charge this morning May 9th 2023 would not let me exchange the sliced bread. I told her that I bought two and I wasnt advised that it was thicker. I asked if I could exchange it for the white bread because the thinner and I use it to make sandwiches but she denied my request. She made a reason that it expired yesterday so I questioned her it only last one day it expired the same day that you sell it for? To me it doesnt make sense.

Super chill vibes as soon as you step foot in. This location is always well maintained, very clean. They have a good selection of bread to choose from. Plenty of parking around this plaza so you wont find any issues there. Will definitely be visiting more often.

A smaller location conpared to other 85° but still carry all the right pastries. They have a good selection of bread but being small it may run out faster than usual(as ive come to learn). Mt advice, if you need a high amount of something order over the phone. The pastries should be done in 30 to 40 mins. The cakes and drinks are always available.

Ive been to a few 85° and this one always has every pastry that I am looking for. The interior is set up pretty nicely with a lot of natural light especially since they have the floor to ceiling windows. Every employee that Ive talked to always has a good attitude. Of course my favorite thing to get at 85° is the milk buns! Those milk buns are so delicious, moist and creamy. I am actually going to go there in a few minutes because I am craving one now.

The Vietnamese Coffee is Great. The selection of sweet and savory pastries is also good and not what you find at the local bakeries. The Rewards Program via app could use an update, unfortunately it takes what seems like forever to earn enough points to claim a pastry and now customers are allowed to claim 1 pastry per transaction when the last time I was there the cashier let me claim 4 pastr8in the same transaction....Huh 🤔 well, I was grateful because it took Forever to collusion enough points.Please 85° ...... I recently visited 85C Bakery and tried their taro marble bread, and it was absolutely delicious! The bread had a soft and fluffy texture, and the taro flavor was well-balanced and not too overwhelming. The marbled effect added a nice visual appeal to the bread. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the quality of the taro marble bread at 85C Bakery and would definitely recommend it to others.

The trays are not cleaned after it is obvious they theyve been used..The times that Ive been there, there are very few items left.I have been to multiple ones and they are very clean with plenty items to choose from.That is one of the main reasons that I have bought pastries from 85 degree.Very disappointing.I will continue to drive to the one in Cerritos.

Who doesnt enjoy a good and tasty snack, well dont look at me. My daughters favorite place and becoming mine too. Good drinks but they could use a little more variety in the drink area. But the pastries a delicious. The seating is comfortable but it is made so dont spend to much time hanging around. Aside from that you can always enjoy something here.

Its a piece of cake at 85 Degrees Bakery. I really like the cakes here and pastries. I like sweets but as Ive gotten older, I havent been able to tolerate too much sweets. The pastries here are just the right amount of sweet. They dont taste too sugary and even though they might be bland its good for those who cant eat super sweet foods. The place has its own parking lot and its clean. Theres tables and chairs to enjoy your pastry and something to drink. The staff is friendly and are quick to take your order. Theres tongs and trays available so you can select your pastries. I got a chocolate bun with cream cheese. It didnt taste burnt or hard. It was soft with a faint taste of chocolate and it wasnt too sweet. I know I will keep coming here to try the other pastries.

This place has some really good bread. It’s always fresh. I usually pick up the bacon 🥓 bread, it’s pretty good.They also have a holiday strawberry cake that they should put on the regular menu lol. Ive gone in multiple times looking for the bottled coffee and they simply say we didnt do them today ... weird. Also I have gone early right after opening and they do not have certain pastries made. I love all the pastries they have here but my favorites are the one with coconut, raisins and almonds and the brioche. They are now packaging every pastry into individual clear bags to keep everything clean due to Covid regulations. Everyone is very nice here.

I bought two cakes from this place for a friends birthday party and the first disappointing thing is that they made a mistake to my cake order. I was not able to go to pick them up, another friend went to get them on my behalf and he didnt know anything from the order, so he never asked the counter why the cakes were exactly the same, he trusted the personnel (I also got mad at him for not checking the paper).In addition, I must say that this is my first time trying their cakes, but not my first time trying the pastries. Most of their pastries are delicious. I decided to give them a try, but we all had a terrible experience. I cannot say anything of other cakes, but the mango one was terrible, it was very dry, no flavor, the filling was awkward, the fruit topping was unripen and very hard, no flavor either, too much whipped cream, and the worst is that we had to eat two of the same cake... We bought this cake at cypress store, dont know if they all taste the same in other stores, but definitely not coming back for cakes. Im not saying that you cannot try, go ahead if you want to, we all have different tastes, we all like different things in life, but in my opinion this has been the most horrible cake I have ever tried.Hope you find this review helpful, I never post a review, but Im not happy for spending $65 dls on something that 12 people were not happy to eat and ended up going to garbage. Dont know if it helps or not, my party had: asian, latino and american people... all 3 cultures very unsatisfied...

Restroom was dirty and the common area floors were as if they had a rush. We went in about 10am and there was only one couple in there. Maybe short staffed... They have good drinks.** Try the thai tea **. The pastries are fresh and they have many varieties. I was worried I wouldnt be close to them since moving from Seattle, but Im lucky to frequent here at least twice a month. The tattooed guy who rang us up was very nice. Let him showcase his tats because individuality doesnt take a way from his customer service or the flavor of the food.

The bakery has a good assortment of Asian pastries with a coffee and Boba bar.I really liked the pastries with sausage and their soft breads however their promoted sea salt coffee is just not tasteful. I couldnt sip through it more than 3 times. I thought the saltiness will go away but it just got stronger. I really dont recommend it.Even though my first impressions with the coffee werent good, the server was kind enough to refund me my money. I have never asked for it so I was hesitant but he made no fuss about it. Just great customer service.Prices are ok for pastries 2 to 3.50 for small or simple pastries and 4 to 6 for bigger and more complex ones. Coffee is strong however.

Good small individual desserts but a bit pricey. One small slice can be about $3-$5 but they have a lot of options. They have teas and coffee and a lot of space for seating. I have come here before going to the movies and killing some time. Coffee drinks are pretty good and reasonably priced. I would recommend you drop by and get some dessert if you are around the area or have some extra time before the movies.
