Been here more than a few times over the years and I’ve never been disappointed. Especially now with the recent remodeling job they did. Wow. The whole place is gorgeous. Friendly employees and great selection of all manner of Asian products can be found here. From snacks to ingredients for full on meals to make at home. Along with the hot food selection they have during the day time, great stuff.

Not gonna lie, this 99 ranch is probably my least favorite location. not only are they small, but they are kind of dirty and the staff are definitely not the friendliest:( they still have all the good snacks, thankfully haha. i don’t think i will be going back to this location when i can easily go to other locations that offer more

Amazing experience for someone being introduced to real Asian food! Rows and rows of exotic noodles, dried plants and seafood, and spices. Even the atmosphere is an experience not to be missed. Just South of Artesia on Pioneer Blvd in Norwalk. Even tanks of fresh live fish, classic, and oysters!

The cashiers are very friendly and helpful. Especially the younger ones who can comfortably have a quick casual conversation with and not feel awkward. Like, more than 1-2 word answers.Btw the I-mei brand of boba ice cream bars are DELICIOUS. Havent tried the other brands yet.

The Asian market I most consistently frequent. Cheaper than the Korean and Japanese markets and more variety, albiet less clean and bright...but gets the job done. Decent veggies and decent prices. Dont really understand the rewards program though and the app isnt great.

Pros: a big variety of Asian and American groceries. There are butchers on-site. Groceries seem to be fresh and prices are friendly. Big parking lot.Cons: People dont know how to park. Its always busy, sometimes too busy for me. So busy that the aisles are congested and seems like the 405, or 91 or 22 or 5 or any other Fwy in SoCal.

Ive somehow seen worse 99 ranch markets, but this one is showing its age. On Instacart they are often out of various items too, compared to showing up in person. The side cafeteria thing is particularly mediocre, though the roast duck is ok. The side bakery is actually pretty decent, as is the overall selection. Youd best learn Chinese if you intend to show up here though

The store looks nice and clean but their employees are so rude and standoffish. I went there for the first time and it will definitely be the last. I asked someone where the soy sauce was, without even looking at me kept doing what he was doing and said “ over there” hardly pointed at who knows what because the sauce in the opposite direction. I get in line for the register it had the light on, the cashier was standing there with no other costumers just chatting with the cashier next to her and as I get closer she shouts “ wait”! Turns around grabs a bunch of go backs and walks away. 😒 I go to the next register and the cashier doesn’t even greet me (whatever) asked me if I wanted a bag and I said yes please! She threw it to the side 😧 okay?! I grab it and start to put my stuff in it while she keeps throwing stuff, like she was in some type of assembly line and someone is rushing her. I won’t even comment about the bakery I’m just gonna stop and say I encountered another rude employee.

Good to go Chinese food. Been coming here for almost a year. However today, as I was getting my lunch, the server accidentally dropped a stack of packaging cups. She then picked them up and placed it back on the counter. When it came to my turn, I politely asked her to use another batch of packaging cups because it is unhygienic. But she refused saying it’s not big deal. I then refused the additional food item, paid full price and walked away. I lodged a complaint at the Customer Service table which I hope management will rectify this matter. Hopefully this is an isolated issue and that management will strictly enforce a high level of hygienic practices.

This Supermarket sells fresh fish, meats and poultry! It also sells Asian packed and canned foods which you cannot find in other supermarkets. They also have a small bakery selling fresh breads, cakes and lots of other sweet rolls! The merchandisers are also friendly!

There should be no star regarding cashier Attitude !!! Today went to buy few items for my parents was in line to pay as my turn came total was 12-27c I gave $20 cash ! She said sorry I don’t have change !! Can you pay by Debit Card? I said sorry I don’t have Card !! She said I don’t have change ! The law say that $ cash is the legal tender to purchase goods and one must respect and take the money!!! I said if your big store does not have change then give 24c discount as you don’t have change ! She said I cannot do that !! I said I don’t have 24c change either ! Line behind me is curious and wondering how long this drama going to last ! I suggest please call your store manager !! She bend down and took cash change and put all change in Cash till ! Then she throw money on me and change fell down on the floor !!!! I ask her respect money don’t throw !!! In my life in USA never had a experience like this ??? Very well cleaned, reasonable prices & friendly staff. Be ready for some people not following the 6ft rule. Your personal shopping bags are not allowed in store. They dont offer or provide bags for shopping items (but they deny yours). Be ready because your shopping items will be put back in carts or be good at carrying in arms. I told cashier nicely, it makes no sense. The cashier agreed but she was following store rules. Be safe everyone and smile.

Not sure whats going on, but a lot of stuff there rots fast. When I opened the fish, the meat looked flaky and had a strong fishy smell. I only bought it the day before... The bananas also blackens into a weird greenish brown color (it didnt turn yellow at all, so I threw that away), unlike the Food4Less bananas that stay yellow for at least a week before getting spots. I used to come here a lot when I was younger to buy Asian groceries. I dont really trust the quality of their fruits and meats anymore. Hella sketch.Their shelf stuffs and snacks still looks good though! And they have a large parking lot thats easy to enter which is a huge plus to me.

To find the authentic Chinese buffet ask for directions to the restrooms, (which are actually clean). The Chinese workers who speak Chinese will understand restroom or toilet. The buffet is in the very back of the large grocery store and way over to one side where it is easy to miss but the directions to the loo will take you to it. If you want the real deal, this is Chinese food. Portions are large, price is low, food is great, atmosphere is, well, there is no atmosphere. Just tables and chairs to sit and eat some really good Chinese food. The grocery store has everything oriental and a large produce department with some exotic items hard to find elsewhere. Have fun and ask for your buffet food to go. You will probably have leftovers that you will want to take home. Ask for a plastic bag at the buffet ; they will give it to you.

I have been coming here from last two years and last one year intermittently . The prices are not that expensive. Produce is fresh and usually good. Wide variety of Fruits to choose from. My goto place for fish. Off late i find it difficult to find fresh fish there. I go on weekends (mostly evenings). Not sure when they restock it. Review is mainly for the customer service given by the cashier. She was very rude to me, my mother & sister. We chose this store today instead of Hmart because it was closer, & it’s closing time soon. At check out, never mind that the cashier didn’t greet us or smile. I would’ve let it go, it was the end of a long day. But as she handed the change to my sister, she shoved it in her hands & motioned to her, seemingly annoyed as if we were a bother. It’s my mom’s turn to pay & I asked to scan my rewards card-I handed it to her & she snatched it from my hand & then she slammed it back on the counter instead of handling it back to me. Causing scene would’ve embarrassed her & I decided to write a review instead. We’ll be taking our business to Hmart where the produce is fresh, & have more variety, plus staff who treat customers respectfully, are efficient & never rude.

It was frustrating because I was clearly having a hard time looking for a specific chip-snack but instead of offering to help, he just not-so-subtly watched me.You would not have had to follow customers thru the aisles if you simply ask them what they’re looking for. The quality of the goods has gone down to the drain. Used to be full of good quality products from Japan, Korea and Taiwan. They are now all replaced by China made food which is highly questionable of the quality and manufacturing process. The only reason I dont give 5 Stars is the Artesia store opens at 8:00AM but most of the stuffs are not ready yet. Sometimes I arrive around 9:00AM some fresh produces are not on the shelves. Good location. My husband and I went there about 8:30 at night. They have a huge selection of Asian foods. We went in to get beer only. What I found strange is that everyone stared at us when we came in. We didnt look odd and were dressed appropriately so not sure what was happening. Our checker even signaled to a co-worker to come to the lane and make conversation with us. It was very uncomfortable and I couldnt wait to leave.

I grew up in this area going to that store. I went back recently and even though they are renovating it was so nice to be back. I had a ridiculous amount of fun going through the isles and bought probably way to many groceries for that reason, but the food all came out amazing everything was fresh and the people working at the store were very kind. I just finished chemo and radiation to my chest. I found a frozen WON TON SOUP at another store but when my son went back they didnt have it. Neither did any other store my son went to.I decided to try this store. The clerks as well as a clerk from the most dept and the store manager helped me find them. I just about bought all they had! They were as happy as me!! Thanks to those kind folks!

One of the cleanest and most organized 99 ranch markets Ive ever been.The deli section offers really decent food...definitely better than some of the other Chinese markets. Their Chinese/Taiwanese breakfast is pretty yummy and inexpensive and therefore insanely popular on the weekend. They really should add a second cashier to accommodate the crowd.

Nice Asian supermarket that focuses mainly on Taiwanese products but had a broad array of items from other cuisines as well. We have been shopping here for years and its pretty well stocked and has lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, and seafood that you might not find at a standard grocery store like Ralphs. They also have a huge variety of rice, noodles, sauces, canned goods, and frozen items. Not the cleanest market, but usually bright and organized enough that it does not bother us. The checkout is usually quick and they pack your bags well.

These comments apply to the Artesia store: the interior has been completely refurbished; the isles are spacious, the coolers are new, a thoroughly modern ambiance. Theres an in-store bakery and hot deli. I havent bought from the bakery, but I did shop at the deli, which was somewhat disappointing because the selection is poor. For example, there was not roast pork and no bbq pork either. The roast duck is so-so and it was badly carved, an unforgivable shortcoming in a Chinese deli. Otherwise, do shop at the store, as the selection of produce, pantry items, fresh fish and meats is outstanding.

I left my wallet behind after I finished shopping in one evening. When I returned to the market next morning to look for it the person who was in charge was very helpful to search for me and finally found my wallet. Everything, the credit cards, ID and money, were inside. Very grateful for the person who found it and kept it safe for me. I offered some money to reward the people who helped keeping and finding my wallet but was politely refused.

Good place to pick up some fresh sea food,you could either get it cooked there or bring it home and cook it yourself. Today I got some tilapias deep fried there usually we bring them home and Grill them on the grill with some pepper lemon bomb cant go wrong, or bring home some fresh crabs boil them at home cant go wrong. Highly recommend the story you could find some good fresh seafood there at all times.

We went here to buy Dungeness crabs and live lobsters, thought that they would steam crabs and lobsters for us, but their machine broke... for quite some time...looks like they not gonna offer the steaming service anymore. Its a bit drab in the store, aging, dim, and depressing. They offer all of the traditional Asian goods and groceries with the expected prices. Their meat section offers meats not available in American grocery stores such as lamb and large pork belly portions. Seafood is similar as they have a wide selection of fish. Employees at checkout are very friendly, as well as the sample stalls scattered throughout the store. This store is somewhat smaller than other Ranch 99 stores.

On the right, a quick, help yourself counter has Chinese food warming in trays for a fast meal. Freshly made chao su bao are made on premises, and weve helped ourselves to the pork asado on frequent occasions.99 Ranch recently rolled up a Customer Loyalty program, where earned points can be redeemed for discounts & goodies. Considering the amount of money I spend here, its great to get a little something back.Service has been good, whether at the registers, kitchen or from the sample people. Its the closest adian market that sells the vietnamese rice noodles for making pho plus the bean sprouts and basil as well as the ingredients for sour soup. They have a spice section with packets for the soups and dried herbs. A little higher priced but conveniently located for the lakewood, cerritos, artesia area. Now long lines at seafood sections because prices very reasonable and fresh. So we see more Hispanic customers.Usuual Filipino Chinease Taiwanese few indian at seafood and some fresh vegetables section. Rarely i see Korean shopping even though ranch market stocks Korean kimtchi etc in frozen section. Tofu being bought occasionally by Korean in 99 ranch. So just discontinue korean spices in 99 ranch as you discontinued indian grocery. Good luck.

The Chinese-oriented supermarket is supposed to have much more Chinese oriented foods/grocery for sales than Mexican or Philippine foods/grocery, but all same-named stores having extremely different levels of authentic food/grocery. Especially it happens in the 99 Ranch Market Anaheim CA where has much less Chinese food/grocery than other mixture food/grocery of Mexico and Philippine.
