Very good grocery store chain for all of your Asian grocery needs. Everything from oyster sauce (from a dozen brands) to fresh fish of all kinds (that they will cook for you in a variety of ways for free). This particular location seems to have more options than most. Tons of sauce options, rice options, and Kit Kat candy flavors not available in your typical grocery store.

This is a really good location. Of the several other locations in the surrounding areas, this one is the best. The hot food is always good and the BBQ pork and other stuff like roast duck and pork are awesome. They have a wide variety of grocery items and some really good produce. 99 Ranch is the best Asian grocery, and this is the best of them. Highly recommended!

Ordered a half order of roasted duck via Instacart, was left extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. The butcher gave me a whole head and neck (see picture). This is a scummy thing to do, its objectively a scam. 我觉得可能看到是老外觉得可以骗所以给不好的。Anyone that has purchased half a roasted duck before should know this is not how it should be, a lot of the meat is missing (around 40-50%) because the whole head and neck took its place as opposed to half.So in closing, never ever buy roasted duck (or probably any meat that requires the butcher) here.

One of the best 99 Ranch Markets. Good size parking lot; I have never had a problem finding a place to park. Produce is fresh, prices reasonable. The real reason we go there is for the vegetarian restaurant, the Happy Veggie Restaurant. It is one the best in the LA area; my wife and I have been going there for more than 5 years and they always have something good.

Its an Asian supermarket. You can buy Asian foodstuffs there. Thats about it really. Dont go towards the back where the fresh fish are if you hate the smell of fish. The smell is very tolerable and you forget about it pretty quickly, but its there.

Honestly theres many flaws.. the meat department smells disgusting when walking pass it.. never had this at any Stater Bros or VonsWhen you go to buy a roasted duck the cutting board they use isnt sanitized and its exposed to fliesEnglish only speakers will have limited interaction with the cashiersSo really you go here for1) Asian beverages /alcohol2) spices and herbs3) tea, coffee, snacks, rice4) they have nice fruit though and produce department has some nice stand out quality stuff from like KoreaBut meat I wont risk itI just dont feel confident about their stocking and keeping track if things are refrigerated properly so Ive always avoided milk too

While I realize they are trying to be generous by offering 3 bucks off hot food on a $50 or more purchase of mooncake 🥮, being asked to return 2 weeks later to redeem the credit when (1) I dont live in LA (2) I hadnt eaten dinner yet and (3) I clearly would have bought at least $10 of food made the offer more about getting me back in the store 2 weeks from now to buy more groceries rather than feeling good I decided to come this particular day to shop for a gift & get dinner in the process! just something for the store manager to consider :)

Don’t let them fool you!!!! I went to buy some live shrimp in the Nogales 99, OMG, the shrimp in the tank is live, and jumping, very fresh, but they have an inner tank that you can’t see which is all dead Shrimp, the ppl who work at the fish section, they take all the dead shrimp for me, even have one or two live shrimp, they will put it back to the tank, and again get the dead one for you. Very very bad! If I want the dead shrimp, why paying the Live shrimp price and eat all dead shrimp.worst supermarket I have been, not even buy all live seafood there, believe me they will fool all of you!

Really y love the selection of products available. My mom first started bringing me here over 20 years ago. I definitely have a lot of memories coming here as a child. I still remember always coming here for their live crabs. I cant say that I still come here for that, but I definitely love coming here for the different desserts and meats. Theres been a few times where we need assistance finding an item, but the employees sometimes have a hard time telling us exactly where the items are. I usually end up finding the items on my own.

My first time at this location, yes it smelled like fish... I quickly got over it. I loved having a sample of dumplings pretty much at each isle. I bought 5 bags, I was only there for Tapioca pearls 😂. I have recommend this store and will continue to do so. Keep up the good job.. Knocked off a star because the cashier and her manager started to count cash and joke around with each other mid way through scanning our items. This store was very clean. I was able to run in and grab my favorite ginger tea crystals. The cashier was very nice. One of the good markets for Asian food. There are several good ones,but this chain is the oldest,and all the stores are large. I got 60 eggs for $5.50. You ll get good deals like this most times. Fish department prices are very reasonable. One aisle is solely sauces. Dozens of different soys,marinades,barbecue,dipping,etc... Great store for Asian cuisine. Prices are reasonable,and big variety. There is an inside bakery. Late afternoon they discount bakery items. Delicious breads,pastries,cookies,cakes. Great selection of items. I usually go there to purchase seafood, mainly live crabs. The Vegetables are fresh. The wait time at check out is reasonable. The only thing is that the pricing of their crabs can be a pricey, at times.For reference, Im not Asian. I only say this because there may be others who might be hesitant to going to a market that caters to Asians. G0 check it out.Occasionally, I have been ignored when trying to get attention at the seafood side, even with a number ticket. I imagine that this can happen to anyone, when it is busy. One of the best 99 Ranch shopping centers I have been to. Easy and free parking, easy to get to off of Hwy 60. Great vegetarian restaurant inside, the Happy Vegetarian Garden. See pictures I posted on Google for more info. I love eating there, it is always good. I never leave hungry. Very nice seating, I enjoy the booths rather than the large round tables. Service is always good, the restaurant seems to be very popular. The decor is upscale but also very casual, prices are very reasonable, not overpriced. We have been eating there for probably more than 5 years, everytime we go to LA.

Full blown Chinese supermarket. A bit towards Taiwanese merchandise but I have found pretty much everything I ever looked for except for a few very specific brands. Cooked food section offer store made dim sum and all kind of traditional pastries, lunch/dinner, and Chinese bbq items. Bakery offer buns and cakes and other pastries. Seafood dept offer free deep fry service, and live fish tanks for various seasonal sea creatures. Overall clean, not smelly at all, decent price and good selection.

For many years 99 Ranch Market has been the go to place for many people who needs ingredients for their hometown asian delicacies, even before the more recent Filipino, Korean, or Chinese supermarkets opened up. I gave it 3 stars because of the cleanliness of the store and the freshness of the fruits and vegetables. This is the Nogales branch and it is one of their oldest branches here in Southern California.

Not my favorite market to go to. The leafy veggies are fresh but potatoes, onions, lemons, kind of basic ingredients are really old. Mouldy or just mostly rind. The people there are really rude too, constantly pushing and getting in your way but thats not the markets fault. It also has that old smelly butchers smell if you know what I mean. But they have a lot of choice of meats and types of cuts. But pricey for a lot of them.

I dont need travel 10000 miles to get Chinese foods . One thing I didnt like is that they sell ginger in a bag of two or three large pieces together. Same with garlic. Hot deli employee, last name Fu was very rude and impatient. We were there two weeks ago and wanted to get some BBQ pork and a marinated chicken. We asked her if theres any marinated chicken available in the morning. She looked at us, didnt say any word, as if we were bothering her. She then replied with very lukewarm tone, saying everything is there, cant you see it. We figured that she really didnt want to answer our question because she was busy packing other items.The way she treats people tells us that she does not like her job. We will make sure to avoid this person next time when we visit this store.

99 Ranch has a wide selection of Asian groceries. Even the most obscure Asian foods, 99 Ranch most likely has it. Most of the staff is friendly and courteous. Its a different experience from Albertsons, Stater Bros,. Ralphs, or Vons. Its relatively modern with a different atmosphere. If you only speak English, please be patient. Most of the employees are at least understandable. What they can improve is their baggers. Their primary mission is to bag the groceries as quick as possible. Theyll put non perishables and frozen goods in the same bag. They ignore the type of grocery bag you bring. Some do watch, but a lot of them will put hard items on top of soft items. A few even forget to put items in the bag. A more positive note thou, the cashiers will catch them forgetting to bag items.

99 Ranch Market in North Plano is an Asian delight. In addition to an extensive selection of all types of Asian food choices, including fruits and vegetables, the fresh fish department is a marvel. There is nothing else in the area that comes close. The biggest problem is the lack of knowledge of the choices making selection a nice dilemma.

Watch your receipts folks. I baught my mom flowers for 40 dollars. I didnt realize my wife had already paid them with her credit card. After calling the manager two days later. She said the camara showed the cashier giving me the 40 dollars over and the receipt! I said no I paid twice! Shame on that dishonest cashier! We wont be back.

I asked for chicken drumsticks, this guy literally just grabbed it with his barehands and long ass nails. The most unsanitary and unprofessional thing I ever seen at a grocery store. 99 ranch or ranch 99, whatever you call it, this place has all a Chinese person needs. The supermarket has anything from lobsters to your choice of cut meat. They also sell some cheap boba and sushi at different stations. This place is literally the place my parents would go grocery shopping (Im Chinese). If you look to find a place with asian (mostly chinese) ingredients, this is the supermarket to go. This place could get packed once in a while and they dont provide plastic bags for you anymore, so make sure to bring your own bags!

Typical 99 ranch market. parking is a pain, and getting here (in 2015) is a PAIN as nogales st is closed southbound, and theres major construction everywhere in rowland heights. the restaurants in the area are great, including class 302.the produce here is really affordable.
