I ordered the Lemongrass beef Bun (noodle salad) and it was sooo delicious! Good portions, fresh and crispy veggies, and comes with an eggroll. I definitely see myself craving this dish more often now that it’s getting warmer lol.

Delicious! I believe I had the curry brisket pho, and oh my damn! It was so good, I literally stood up on the restaurant to get these photos. I cant say enough good things about this place. Happy hour is good, food is spot on, and service was super pleasant.

Today I decided to check out this new spot on a 4th Street. I ordered the steak sandwich. The flavor of their sauce mixed with a home made mayonnaise and the tenderness of the steak made my whole day Wow!!! If I could I would of put 10 Stars.Definitely going to be back to try all their sandwich options.

Really tasty vegan pho, although the carrots and daikon were non traditional additional, they added to make the pho feel heartier. I added broccoli to my soup, but bok choy would also have been a delicious addition. The included bean sprouts and basil were super fresh. I will definitely be adding this to my local restaurant rotation!

I am not a pho expert. I did not grow up on it and only started having it the last 15 yrs since college. This pho has amazing broth. I prefer chili paste with my pho and they only gave me sriracha. Luckily I have some at home. My only complain is that I like tendon and tripe and those are not available. I would definitely rate it a 5 if they added those options.

Food is surprisingly good. We came here at 1:30 pm and were able to do the lunch special 1/2 pho and + 1/2 sandwich . Highly recommend. You can get a bit of both.

So I was a little skeptical on this place when I saw the menu prices as I felt they were high for Vietnamese food. I was recommended to try this place out from a co-worker and so I ordered the Mélange Bun vermicelli bowl (Shrimp, Pork, Steak, Tofu and Chicken). This thing was huge and packed with toppings so definitely get your moneys worth. They offer a lunch special thats available 7 days a week for 1/2 pho and 1/2 banh mi sandwich for $14, which I will try when I come back again.

Possibly the worst pho Ive ever had. If they are going to westernize the broth to this level, why not just call it beef noodle soup. 14 godamn dollars for broth that basically tastes like watered down hoisin sauce. There is nothing worse than expecting a half way decent bowl of pho, only to receive this sad bowl of brown water. The noodles were over cooked and made the broth so cloudy with starch. Seriously, why does white boy pho cost more than double the authentic stuff? I suggest eating at Pho Hong Phat, they make a Cambodian variety and theyll treat you right. #sadpho

#9ToGo has a nice, easy-to-find sign to greet you in. Coming in, it looks super casual. Ordering was a breeze and not too overly busy on a Saturday for early lunch. I opted for the pho since the weather has been a little chilly and the brisket/steak.The order came pretty quickly (about less than 5 minutes) along with the usual pho condiments (jalapeno / lime / lime /etc.). The table had the oyster/sriracha all ready to go as well.I was super happy with the broth and especially the brisket. I was expecting the usual super thin brisket slices from most pho locations, but here, they serve you nice, thick pieces alongside the steak slices. Loved every bite. The broth as well was terrific - had a nice brighter flavor that was a little different from the usual broth I have at other pho places. The noodle was solid as well. Came out of the meal happy and full.

I ordered in person. Front of house was nice, clear and informative. I got a bahn mi and pho with special requests. Both plates were spectacular, I got the beef broth. It was hearty and I was happy with my choice. I’m sensitive to salt in my food and Would’ve preferred a little less but overall the flavors were good.

They have a vegan pho - really good! The broth has a touch of sweetness, but not sweet at all. Great spices in there. The ingredients all seemed quite fresh. Loved the basil. We got the tofu pho, the mushroom Bun and the spring rolls. For the flavor and quality the prices are really good. Staff was super nice even though we ordered right before closing and picked up. I didnt see a place to order online but it was really easy to call and place an order from the photos of the menu on Google Maps. The market in which they are located has a lot of good options as well and parking nearby was easy. Clean, fast, tasty. They didnt have any organic options, however.

I am genuinely SHOCKED that the reviews are this good. I ordered the BBQ pork Bun with a side of extra veggie egg rolls and dipping sauce. The food was so disappointing.The bbq pork was rubbery, and the fat wasnt rendered. The veggie egg rolls were definitely the cheap frozen kind that turn into mush in the middle (they charge $9 for 2 of these). And the dipping (fish) sauce left something to be desired. It was nothing like authentic Vietnamese food. They get 1 star for making the rice noodles properly. Save your money and go to one of the better local options for Vietnamese food.

The food was not authentic vietnamese food. So disappointed that this place has such high reviews. I ordered the BBQ pork Bun and it was the bad. The bbq pork was rubbery and dried. The egg roll was not vietnamese style and kinda reminds me of the vegetable frozen egg roll in the frozen section. The fish sauce was lacking all the vietnamese flavors. It was very bland. However the staff was great. I would not recommend this place if you want authentic vietnamese food.

Wishful thinking to beleive this place was any better then their other location but I tried it again. Unfortunately i paid $14 for a bahn mi...yes you read that right an $8 sandwhich for almost double the price. My ideal bahn mi regardless of price should have flaky bread and a resonable amount of cilantro, this had neither. The $8 rice bowl wasnt bad but together with the bahn mi and tip I was out almost $29 for a very mediocre lunch.

Food is amazing but Google definitely needs to updated.This is definitely my fault since I didn’t prepare but I commute in to Long Beach for work. I left early to treat myself to food before work. I stopped here because on google it says “Dine in” and the photos show pictures of a restaurant. I got here and it’s a counter in a market. They also have no bathroom at all.I didn’t have time to find other food to eat so I ordered then left to find a bathroom at the Ralph’s up the street then drive to work to eat in my car.Pho is definitely not a car food. This place is easy going and a great spot to get comforting pho on a cold day or refreshing bun on hot days. These guys know flavor and never disapoint. They also have super crunchy and NOT chewy fried calamari. I come here weekly because of the happy hour specials on food. Makes a terrific meal affordable

I passed by this place for years. I decided to give it a try and I was sorely disappointed mostly by the food quality and pricing. The service was outstanding however. For $10 pho, I wouldnt recommend. The broth was hot but not as hot as pho should be. The veggies barely wilted in the bath water. The meat wasnt rare when brought to the table, instead it was already cooked into the dish. The coconut sorbet was icey and really fell flat. Keep it authentic and get your pho elsewhere for $4-$6.

The rare beef pho was really good. The Service was really good too. I have to say though, that eating here felt like eating in a prison cafeteria. The brutalist aesthetic of the restaurant is cold and not inviting and its loud in here. Maybe ask to be seated outside.

The service was the only good thing that sticks out. Happy hour prices were good as well, but found bones in my food, and atmosphere was lacking. Seating was a bit uncomfortable to stay long. Papaya salad was mostly carrot and extremely soggy. Nothing compared to authentic Southeast Asian cuisine.

I’ve eaten here for years. Always thought it could be a little cleaner, but liked the food and service so I kept going. I’m currently sick, in bed with food poising and I have no doubt it came from Number Nine. Sorry guys, but you have got to clean your place up and be careful with your food! I live in the neighborhood. I have been going to Number Nine since it opened. Their vegetable Pho is the best in town and always good when under the weather. However, we had the worst customer service I have experience in a long time and to top it off I have stomach problems from our meal.Sorry Number Nine we are done. I used to like going to this place until tonight, I ordered pho for pick up and when I got home, the pho was extremely greasy and thick. I called back immediately to let them know that it wasnt edible. All they were willing to do for me was offer me a 20% discount on the next time I went. Not even willing to correct their mistake. Number Nine is a great local restaurant that brings a modern touch to Retro Row. The vibe is no different than other spots in the area - lots of local support and zest, just a refreshing look compared to most of the neighbors.Food is fresh and delicious. I tend to stick with spring rolls and pho (my favorites) but other menu items are also very good. Whether you just want some finger food while strolling the Row or want to stake claim to a table for a tasty bowl, the food and atmosphere are worth a visit.

Combine a Hipster feel with a Vietnamese menu and this place is what you would get! This is not your standard Vietnamese place youd go to in SGV (San Gabriel Valley)... This is a hipster version where the wait staff are anything but Vietnamese. And thats perfectly fine! As for Number Nine, I can see that they tried to make their pho their way and it seems like it satisfied some people in the area.Boyfriend and I tried their Pho, and yes, it did not taste the same as traditional Vietnamese restaurant, BUT wasnt bad either. We can tell that its like eating an authentic pho. I thought it was cute that they served it in a big square bowl instead of a round bowl like all other Pho places would. Felt the fanciness. We also got their spring rolls, tasted fresh and just like any other Vietnamese restaurant.Street parking only. There is no private lot. You may have to wait longer if you decide to come here to eat on cold days, because its usually busy. They also serve beer & wine!

FREE HAIR IN FOODIve been to this place maybe 20 times and today was the last. It wasnt so much the big long black hair that was in my phō, it was more the fact that they didnt seem very apologetic about it and only offered to comp the phō that I didnt want to eat anymore. I wonder why. The ticket was $22. The manager should have comped the whole thing. Doesnt matter anymore as they lost a customer for life and will likely be losing more once people find out their phō comes with free long black hairs. You dont even have to ask they just give it to you free of charge in their phō.
