The drinks here are great, but the food here is gimmicky and average. We tried the BBQ Beef Crepe and this American Cheese filled Croquette - the croquette was very crispy but really only tasted of the packaged noodles on the outside, and the crepe had a strange taste in that reminded me of propane or sterno...it wasnt very good.On the upside, the Coconut Fruit Sago drink was delightful - it was so good we finished it before taking a picture. Ill have to come back to try more of the drinks, but wont come here to eat any of the snacks which are overpriced and average at best.

Food was good. However, the wait time mentioned while ordering (15 mins) was misleading! Took 40 mins to get an order of Tofu bento & their signature fries. If you are not in a rush, this is a nice place to grab a bite.

Portion of the steak cup is pretty decent, but I tend to find their crepe on the heavier side of flavor - too salty and spicy for me. Waited for about 30min for our two items on a Sunday noon.

Cute fusion place but very pricey. Got an entree, side, and drink for almost $30 total. Wait time was about half an hour. Takeout only.The food was good and there are many options. Unfortunately the bubble waffle varieties are N/A at the moment.

Great specialty potato menu items! Had the potato tornado and garlic onion waffle fries, which were both delicious, particularly the latter. Highly recommend for a quick snack if in the area. Tasted very fresh and was served hot! The potatoes were the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Be aware that you will wait more than 40 min for your food in this place! Its too slow here.Also for dine-in orders, you have to remind the store staff to make your order. We waited 20+ min sitting in the store without any food coming and when we went to ask the staff about our order, they told me they hadnt started on it.....

Every time I order ahead they make my order early. I set my order time for 7pm and they had it ready by 6:40. When I got there my food was already room temperature. Don’t order ahead, they won’t respect your request time.

Not gonna lie, I thought the food was really gimmicky looking from the photos. But the jian bing is good - it’s fresh, crunchy, sweet, and savory. Pairs well with a fresh fruit tea. Definitely recommend, but also ask for some hot sauce + pork floss in the jianbing if you can.

This place was okay. A little pricier than other tea places like this, in my opinion. I would highly recommend the mango hibiscus tea - that was definitely the star. We also got a matcha latte (it was your standard, nothing special) and the potato tornado (great flavoring, but felt like it wasnt much).

The place is very spacious and is well designed. The decor on the walls and shelves give a rustic and calming atmosphere. In regards to the menu options they are also aesthetically pleasing but are a bit overpriced. I found their displays very helpful for selecting what to order. They can reduce their menu selection options a little bit because it was a tad overwhelming.

Neat spot with some interesting selection: croquettes, egg waffle, crepe, spam musubi, pasta, milk tea, and a few others. Its a bit much to choose from, so I havent tried everything.I had the Fried Potato with Prince Noodle and a Crème Brulee milk tea. Both were very good! The fried potato was a potato croquette with corn and cheese, covered with crushed noodles and topped with mayo and furikake.I love that the container turns into a little box for if you cant finish your food; very cute design!

Wonderful people that go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. So many options for drinks and snacks. I love the fresh fruit tea with the no syrup option to get a healthy drink without having to worry about sugar. The Hawaiian tropical is my favorite. On days that I want to indulge, I get the rose tea with cheese foam.

Not what you think. I went here thinking hmmm a place that does stuff with potato’s . Nope. The place has potatoes on all there signs too. Turns out it’s a trendy high school hang out or something. The kids that work there are nice but seemed spaced out. Anyways I’m here and I wanted potatoes so had some waffle fries, I also ordered popcorn chicken and a tea. They seem more like a boba tea place but they don’t sell boba just blended tea with fruit stuff in it. Don’t go here if your hungry or expecting potatoes. Or if your over 21. The waffle fries about $6 were good but Chic Fil A ones are better and not so deep fried. The Popcorn chicken about $6 super salty and the tea well taste like pure sugar juice. Won’t be back, not hating just not my cup of tea.

Tried the steak bento this time; like the chicken better. The fries, though, are always good, no matter how you get them. My companion got the potato tornado this time - fun to eat as well as tasty! Chili fries, yum. The grilled dumplings, we both agreed, will be a staple for our orders. Of the specialty drinks, the matcha milk tea is the best: not too sweet, good balance of tea and milk. 👍They were busier than our usual experience, though, and the staff didnt quite know how to handle it, but that will come with experience, Im sure. I am glad theyre becoming popular and successful!

It’s the go-to spot for my friends and me. We love getting the chicken and trying out all the different drink combinations. I would avoid their beef foods besides the Gimbap. I dunno. I just don’t really like the flavor which I think is affected from baking soda used to soften meats. Just a guess but there other better things available. Also just be aware that even with ordering ahead, it can take some time for your order. It’s not super fast, but it can be worth it if you’re in the mood!

Man, What a place, we ran into this place as we were lazily roaming around in fremont. parking was little tricky out front but try on the backside, you may get lucky.I would say very limited seating and as we are large group, was hard to find a place so we ordered food and ate it in the car. you can squeeze in ofcourse.Unagi Musubi and Takoyaki were my MVP. Went here to grab lunch with a friend. Very limited parking in front. Parking in rear but you have to walk around building to enter through front even though there is a back entrance. Take out only and nowhere around to sit and eat so we ate in the car. Food was ok but took 20 min and price was kinda high for take out only. Visually very attractive place but I probably won’t have lunch here again. Seems more like a place to take your girl for a sweet drink and treat.

The food is good! Lots of options, and they all look legit!I got the classic eggette, curry fries, and takoyaki. All are good. Stopped by while getting something else and grabbed some popcorn chicken. Spice level 0, 1 or 2. 1 (mild) didnt hit you at first but definitely built up after a few pieces. Good crunch, good breading, marinated chicken made for a really tasty snack. A little bit salty (we didnt get a drink) and a 30min wait took off one star. Price was a bit high, but, inflation.Would come back, would order ahead.

Overall the food was decent.The biggest problem is missed expectations. We got two of their fruit juice cups and the amount of fruit that was in each cup was 1/4 what the image show. I ordered Steak Bento and a Steak Combo cup, when I got home I ate the combo cup for lunch, and hoping to eat the Steak Bento for early dinner, but when I opened it, it is another Steak Combo cup. They are not paying attention to customers order. The Steak taste bland, taste like the lowest kind of beef, nothing exciting with it. The corn they placed on the bottom of the container is just the ordinary canned corn kernels that you can buy in the store--probably they got it from a $ store. I ordered a green tea they gave me black tea. Customer service, upon getting my order, the guy on the counter asked me if I need bag for the two cups of drinks--of course I need it to be bagged or at least a cup holder that usually given in any of the other store, when you got a bag of food and two cups of drink to carry--he just threw the bags on the counter, not even bothering to put the drinks into the bags, and you call that Customer Service.Overall DISAPOINTING, I will not coming back again and totally not recommending this place to anyone, not even to people I dont like.

Food is unique and good but service is not great. We ordered food to go the last two Fridays around 5:30 pm. Both times the order took about 35 minutes to be ready. I recommend ordering online to reduce the wait outside but one downside is items may be sold out and theyll call you to let you know. I do not recommend calling to place your order because theyre so busy youre unlikely to get through. Last Friday, I tried calling before I arrived and they hung up the first time. I called back and was told they will call me back but they never did. I ended up ordering at the restaurant.The takoyaki is good. I really enjoyed the Chinese crepe. It was tasty, although Ive had a similar item elsewhere and found this one is not as crispy. The potato with prince noodle was very interesting; theres molten cheese inside. The steak with fries and guac is delicious! I enjoyed the Hong Kong style milk tea more than the grass jelly oolong milk tea. Its worth noting there is no boba topping here. I loved the mochi egg waffle!I recommend visiting but be prepared for the wait. Theres no dine in yet.

My friend told me that they’re tea was amazing, so I stop by when I was passing through, I was hungry at that time. I tried to contact the restaurant to cancel, they did not pick up their phone at all! And 39 miles does not have any customer service or any place that I can cancel my order!! I had this place for the first time last week with a friend and its super fun and tasty. Definitely has the boba shop vibe. It can get a little noisy on a Friday night (which is totally fine) so we took our order to go. We decided to order a little bit of everything and share it family style. (GREAT option if you are a first timer like me.) My favorite items were the hibiscus iced tea, tofu bento box and garlic noodles. Definitely looking forward to coming here again.Tips: -Order a variety of they food and share with friends/family for the full experiencing.-Watch out, the hibiscus iced tea is super caffeinated (or maybe it was just me getting too excited over the food and friend time.) 😄

Cool modern interior design with a huge selection of teas and snacks. Not that much seating indoor unfortunately. Parking is also limited in the small plaza. I tried their popcorn chicken, egg puffs, waffle fries, and fried shrimp. All of them were crispy and amazing -- I enjoy the simple flavors they used. Their fruit teas are popular here, and they also do some milk tea, but doesnt seem like its their specialty because they dont do boba. Great snacks though. Give it a try!

Food & drink are always good. I ordered ahead online, knowing they take a while. Still ended up taking 40 minutes (order confirmation at 12:09, order ready call at 12:48). Wednesday lunch rush! Masubi and fried shrimp were good as always, chicken bento hit the spot, curry potatoes had good taste but soggy. I stumbled this place by chance and have been a fan since. One of the staff actually recognized me, as I always order the same thing whenever I go here. There was one time I ordered something different and he was asking why I wasnt ordering the usual.Their tea selection is pretty great, and if you order the iced coffee, you might even get a latte art that goes with it. They have pretty good selection of hot food as well. Love their pasta, and theres one menu that became my latest favorite, which is the hot cheetos musubi.During COVID, its much advised to order online for pickup if youre ordering food. Once I ordered at the counter, and was told the wait will be one hour for food (which is understandable during this weird time). So its much more convenient to order online, and wait until your food is ready for pickup.

This is a place offering high quality snack and drinks that no other offers in the bay area. The drinks are fresh and snack are freshly made when you order. I know other people have complaints about the long line and wait, but I do not mind at all because this place is popular and packed because it means quality food and good taste. People love it and they will wait for it. Look at In and Out Burger and they always have long lines! I love their Eggette w/ Mango and Cream, so yummy, and also the Curry Fries, Steak Cup and Hibiscus drink - very refreshing! I love their HK milktea too.

So I had curry fries and an ice tea. The quality here is high. These were some of the best fries Ive ever had. They are right up there. The tea had multiple slices of grapefruit in it and was awesome.The fries were hot with an incredible flavored curry mix. I want more right now and I ate them just an hour ago. Many other menu items look great and I will update this as I try more. But for Sack of Potatoes I thought I should try potatoes first.Im going back soon.

Got the BBQ Chinese beef crepe--its delicious on the first bite and kind of the same taste afterwards, and a little bit too sweet. most impressed by the quality of the meat which wasnt chewy like other restaurants.What really excites me about this place is the small portions and street food vibe that reminds me of Asian street food. The food variety is pretty sick too, they have Taiwanese, Korean, Hawaiian, Chinese, Italian, and of course, boba from what I saw on the menu. Cant wait to try more things~ :3

I had no idea what to expect when a friend suggested we try this new place out called A Sack of Potatoes, but was presently surprised by the whole experience. The interior was very clean and nicely decorated, and the staff was very friendly. Ample seating considering the layout, but only 1 bathroom. We stopped in just before 9pm, which we later found out was their usual weekday closing time, but they still let us order food and stay for a reasonable amount of time.I ordered the popcorn chicken which was delicious and at the right level of tenderness. My friends thought the outside coating could be crispier, but I thought it was fine. I cannot personally comment on the Eggette ice cream or tea drinks), but our group was very happy with with the quality and taste. The price of the food is comparable to other boba/milk tea places. I will definitely be stopping by again to try their Signature Steak Combo Cup - looks super interesting!UPDATE 10/2019: Stopped by a few more times and got to try more of their menu. The Eggette Ice Cream presents really nicely and is tasty, but the Egg waffle was crispier than I expected. Waffle fries were cripsy and tender, but a bit oily and pricey. Had a piece of steak from their signature cup and it was surprisingly tender and flavorful.I highly recommend their signature fruit teas as they are super refreshing have a good amount of fruit slices inside. Has a good balance between sweetness and tea flavor. The only downside is how large it is! Best when shared with a friend.Its hard finding a clean table when its really busy, which is an inconvenience. Im torn between a 4 and 5 for this very reason, but for now it will remain as a 5.

The food is great. My only issue with this place is it takes way to long for the other to be ready. The average time that restaurants of similar setting ask is 20 minutes after ordering to prepare your order. However at Sack of Potatoes they ask for 30 minutes. Yet, the food is never ready at the send of half an hour. They always take 10 minutes more.

I have to admit that I was excited about trying this place based on the name. I had been waiting for it to open and was very curious about. I went in on a Tuesday evening at 5 pm to test out a couple of items and the place was full. It is an inviting atmosphere and there were people at every table that gave me hope about what I was about to try. There was was no line and the friendly cashier made a couple of suggestions that I decided to try.I ordered the Signature Iron Platter Potato Fries and the Signature Fried Potato with Prince Noodles. Both items were $7.00. The Fried Potato with Prince Noodles was delicious and the reason for getting at least 2 stars here. If someone where to ask, I would recommend these. The Iron Platter Fries were expensive, soggy, and lacked flavor. You do not receive any more fries than a medium fry from Carls Jr. next door and those cost less than $2.So I am 50/50 on the items ordered. The reason for the lower stars was the wait time. It took 27 minutes to receive the 2 items that I ordered. While waiting, I figured out why so many tables were full. Everyone was patiently waiting for their order. When you see the title of the restaurant, you expect small portion potato items. The menu seems more focused on fruit drinks, teas, and the such. I feel like this convoluted menu caused the service to be incredibly slow as they could not focus on a few items and do them well. I would hope that over time they will get things worked out and be able to speed things up, but this was not a good start for a new place.

A sack of potatoes in Fremont is so instagrammable, but I think the camera enjoyed the food more than I did. Im not saying the snacks were not good, but they didnt stand out like I was hoping it would.I tried the pork seung spam masubis (very good, and my fav of all the snacks I tried), soy chicken wings, teriyaki chicken jian Bing (loaded with meat, huge portion - for $10 it was the best deal), and hot Cheetos spam masubis (novel but not great). All snacks are $8-10 range. They also have unique drinks but I couldnt resist the tub of fruit tea that is packed with fruits inside (hence the little toothpick that comes on top). The drink was HUGE. Cool place to try, but limited parking and very limited seating, so good luck!

I LOVE THE MATCHA TORNADO WITH ADDED RED BEAN TOPPING, however, most of the time I order it on doordash they forget to add the red bean topping. They put a note on the receipt saying it was an additional topping charge. But looking closely at the receipt, I did pay for the topping. So Please check the receipt again. For a restaurant not only the food should be good, they need a better service to be a good restaurant. If you order through phone call or through website they will say that just we received the order after reaching the restaurant, waiting time is like 1hour easily for any order. Right now it is not that busy too. Employees will try to chit chat and make funny towards the customers. This is not at all a great service or a the food.
