Awesome, awesome and more awesome. You simply have to check this place out. The food is really good. Being Indian, I’m always picky about Indian food places and the dishes at this place were unlike I’ve ever had anywhere else! The service was simply great a as well, the owner gives it a personal touch and is super nice. It’s a must stop over for anyone looking for unique high quality Indian food.

Food was delicious and staff were very friendly and funny! I got the chicken thali so I could try a variety of dishes. I liked that they offered a variety of vegetarian dishes as well. Will be coming back when I have the chance.

The service was amazing and the food was fantastic! The host/person who was at the front of the house was really sweet and kind to us. At first we wanted to order 2 servings of rice but he suggested that we order 1 because it was going to be enough for 2 people (but told us if we wanted to get more we can) so we did that and he was correct - so I really appreciated him telling us that. I’d definitely come here again!

Some of the dishes in the online menu are incorrectly labeled Vegan. So we went in with the expectation that tofu Tikka masala is vegan and it wasnt but the lovely staff offered to make tofu curry vegan for us. So we ended up having vegan biryani, tofu curry and tandoori Roti. We loved the food and hospitality of the staff. We would definitely visit again when in the area.

The best Indian food in Hayward maybe the Bay Area. We had the piping hot samosas, butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, basmati rice, garlic and cilantro nan, and kheer (the best rice pudding I’ve ever had). Come here you won’t regret it!

Love the food here. It’s a vegan’s paradise. All items are clearly marked and they make items vegan if they are able to.Coconut tomato soup was wonderful. Owner is super friendly and he personally made sure every item we got was vegan. Will definitely be our go to place in the area.

Found this spot on Yelp and it was a very pleasant surprise. We ordered the steamed chicken momos, chicken tikka masala curry, butter chicken curry, basmati rice, and garlic naan. Enjoyed the flavor of the chicken momos and the spice to the sauce (only added a little bit). The garlic naan was SO delicious - buttery and garlicky goodness. 👌 Also, the curries were both very delicious! It is an understated spot, not too busy during a Thursday at lunchtime. Great, attentive service. Will definitely be back!

One of haywards hidden gems. Great food and even better service. The owner greeted us as soon as we sat down. Even gave us a history lesson of all the beautiful paintings on the wall. It was my first time having fried chicken momos, and believe me when I say this. Its probably the best thing Ive tasted in a long time. Everything else we ate was equally delicious. I highly recommend this place, and I will be going back soon with my family so they can have the same experience as me. The Nepali chicken chowmein reminded me so much of the chowmein I grew up eating in the Fiji Islands. My family confirmed it when they ate my leftovers. Cant wait to go back. Thanks for the excellent service and delicious food

The owners genuine passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere truly made me feel like a cherished guest.I am originally from Nepal and the flavors of my childhood came flooding back when I tasted the Goat Thali, Chicken Momos, Chicken Tikka Masala, Virgin Mango Mojito, and Gulab Jamun. I would rate the goat thali a 20 out of 10 - it was bursting with authentic flavors and spices that transported me back to my mothers kitchen!I am beyond grateful to have discovered this gem in the Bay Area, and I can confidently say that I will always drop by when I am visiting SF. The server is amazingly friendly and attentive. It’s very rare going into a restaurant and feeling taken care of like a friend. I will definitely be coming back to try their other menu items, because everything else looks so delicious! The atmosphere is cozy and well decorated. I had the Jhol Momo chicken and it was truly amazing, one of the BEST momo dishes in the world!! It is spicy and tasty, it is similar to a Nepali/Indian version of Biao (Chinese soupy dumplings) and I highly recommend. 5 stars, 10/10, visit Aama today!

An authentic & cozy Nepali-Indian food place in Hayward.Hosts were welcoming and service was good too.We mostly tried dishes around momos and noodles and everything was just too good in taste. I recommend Fried momo and jhol momo.Though we ordered everything in medium spice level, the spice level was higher as per American residents standard. Next time I will be going for low spice level.Kulfi’s in the dessert were amazingly great.I highly recommend this place. And looking forward to explore their menu in future.

There are very few restaurants in the Bay Area that consistently delight customers with good quality food and service. Aama Kitchen lives up to this standard. The owner is extremely attentive, friendly and customer focused. He has even added dishes to the menu based on our requests and feedback.My husband and I have visited this restaurant often (atleast about 7-8 times), and have never returned disappointed. We dont really eat in Hayward, but we were hungry and tried this place out. Really good food and the service is very friendly and pleasant. The restaurant is clean and bathroom clean enough. I didnt enjoyed aloo Gobi because it was almost only cauliflower and the few potatoes it had were uncooked. But we did enjoyed the other dishes. On the pricy side but it was really good. Well definitely try it again.

First time here and we loved every dish! Had never tried Nepalese meals and very much enjoyed, similar to Indian, but slightly less heat, milder. But they do also serve traditional Indian food. Owner explained how the dishes are prepared and ingredients. Of our party of four, I was the only vegan and owner was very careful to keep my dishes seperate which I greatly appreciated.

This place is a hidden gem in downtown Hayward. We brought our friends this second time around because we had such a good experience the first time. This is my first time coming to this place and love its decoration in simplicity. The service was a bit slow but the foods were excellent. We ordered two appetisers which was recommended by cashier/boss, both the Shrimp Pakora & Lamb Sekuwa were very tasty. Honestly i heard that medium was one of the lower spice levels and the dish I had was pretty spicy despite me having high spice tolerance. Both of the dishes I had are very good and flavorful. Really tasty food but I’ve had a disappointing customer service experiences every time i have ordered from here. Every time I arrive at the time food is promised and end up having to wait 20-30 minutes. Today they lost my order ticket and had to notify the kitchen to start on my order, this was 15 minutes after I had already arrived, checking in with the host, and was told to wait. Another time they gave our food to a different customer and again, had to wait for food to be remade. They are apologetic every time but it’s definitely a consistent disappoint from my experience. I would love to keep ordering from this restaurant but sadly I worry every time if my order is going to be wrong or I’ll have to wait a long time for takeout.

Wow! This place was amazing! I came here with my college friends after getting a haircut. I ordered the Chicken Thukma, my friends got butter chicken, biryani, momo, etc. The food was delicious! Based on the online reviews went to check out this place on a Friday lunch. It wasnt crowded, and the owner KC was very attentive and was able to explain the food. We loved the food - it had the aroma of spice without being spicy or oily. The chowmein, chicken biriyani were very good! The portion sizes of the curries are meant for one so I would recommend ordering for yourself if you are on a date. Everything about this restaurant was wonderful, from the brand new cauliflower dish to the handmade watermelon candies lovingly placed on top of the pistachio kulfi. The Chai was freshly made and as amazing as their mango lassi, and the people were just so sweet and kind. The owner told us they use organic ingredients because it matters to them, something so rarely done in an industry that has such low margins and very high labor needs. I loved it here. It was a perfect date before exploring the Japanese gardens nearby.

A beautiful little family restaurant, right on the main strip of Foothill, right down the street from our house! The service here is warm and attentive, with congenial help selecting spice level or learning about the menu and brisk service of dishes. Our family is vegan part of the year for religious reasons and they have many vegan dishes that delicious and full of rich flavor, quite a satisfying list of options clearly labeled “V” in the menu.
