Found a recommendation for the restaurant online and invited my parents. Dont judge by the outside the inside is what counts and the food here is delicious. Great portions for the price and the service was wonderful as well.We had the Shrimp wonton soup, noodles were perfectly chewy and springy. The wontons had the perfect amount of flavor and the prawns were huge! Also had the crispy squid, highly recommend!!! Not oily at all, the batter was very light and the squid wasnt dry at all. Prawns with lobster, great presentation, again huge prawns. And the Chicken Crispy Noodles, the sauce was a great balance and the noodles were nice and chewy. Lots of chicken and it was very juicy and tender.Cant wait to go back!

Friendly service, quite fast too. Most of the food ordered were great except for the fried noodles with gravy on side... the noodles got burnt on sides which meant half of it had to be discarded cause no one wanted to eat it. Sweet and sour pork was crispy and sauce was tasty.

Great place to pick up lunch or dinner under 10 bucks. The portions are big enough for two people. The food is typical but also lots of fresh choices. Service could be a little more attentive, three of four women chatting while one helped customers was annoying. They also have la bakery which sells pastries sweet things and egg rolls . They have some cooked ducks hanging, kinda of scary so I dont really look at the display.

I love their restaurant and take out. They have dim sum and congee. My go to is beef with crispy noodles, pork chop spicy salt, sweet and sour fish. Mongolian beef and eggplant. If you sit in they also have a lunch special. People are very nice.

Will definitely go again!They have two entrances a south and a north entrance. The south area is for a sit-down dining experience. The north side is the fast food experience where you just grab and go.The only thing that sucks is the parking.

Their “hand shredded free range chicken” is probably the best in LA, IMO. Standard Cantonese cuisines. BBQ items & seafood are above average among so many choices in Chinatown & SGV. Generous portion sizes and great for family style. Their lunch specials menu is a bargain. Tasty and offer every day of the week.

If you want to have dinner, I suggest you go to other restaurants because they are really bad. Theyll lie to you .I booked a dozen tables for my party a week in advance, but I didnt do anything and even privately used my party seat to receive others parties. And I also have to wait for a seat to wait for the dishes, and in the end, I have to charge a high fee. This is really a terrible restaurant

Purchased Chinese delicatessen like Soy Sauce Chicken (Siyao Gai), & Roasted Duck (Siu Ngop). It was really good.In addition, next couple of weeks, I recently dined in there and had a BBQ Pork Chow Mein (Pan Fried Crispy Noodles) for dinner and it was really delicious. Mmmm, yummy! 😛😋

This is specifically for their to go area which is Panda Express style. The 8 to 10 different entrees are in warmers laid out behind the glass and you pick anything from broccoli beef to fried chicken to ribs in black bean sauce. Tbh, I usually just get their veggies but their grilled chicken with teriyaki sauce is on point most of the time. The best part of this though is they give you ample food so you should be definitely full. All for just under $8.00. Bonus points for offering some dim sum and BBQ duck and Cha siu if youre so inclined. Thats a separate price point though.

This is a takeout restaurant thats the steam table. Delicious food but theres also a sit down part of this restaurant as well. On the other side you can park in the rear free parking. Food to go here is very inexpensive. But the quality is not there. Dim sum items are okay, but the lunches menu are not very good. The spare ribs are so tough and sloppily cut you cant chew the meat, and you need a knife to recut the pieces that are too large and not chewable. There are other restaurants in the area better.

Orders are messed up, forgot some of our orders, food takes long even though the restaurant is not even half full. They have over 7 cooks too, they ate while we waited for our orders. I get it, its a pandemic, but the service is not the best. She even gave us the wrong order, good thing we didnt touch it. I ordered sui mai and wonton soup to share between two people. I just recovered from Covid recently and I haven’t been feeling well due to long covid (shortness of breath, lots of nausea and body aches post Covid) and let me tell you that this meal really helped me feel so much better. The wontons in the soup are flavorful. The veggies crisp and not over cooked at all. Such a great meal. Would definitely reorder from this place.

I do not tip them because they havent washed the tip jar since they opened the restaurant. I cant stress that enough, one serving will feed you plus one, and Im a big boy. For a detailed review, look up ABC on Yelp, but heres the skinny: this place used to suck, but stopped doing the Hoover a couple years ago when David Lam bought it and remade it. Now, everything about the place is better.Years ago, ABC earned a reputation for great food, but over the years the quality suffered, like a slowly dying entity that just didnt care anymore. David has renewed its glory. The food is superb, the service is fast, friendly and homey and with the small dining room, the noise level is never loud. Add to that very reasonable prices and great selections and the sum is a restaurant youll want to visit often. Were going there tomorrow, as a matter of fact.

How did I miss this gem for so long?! I always thought it was some type of rare sea creature cuisine. Its actually fast food Chinese and Hawaiian style. But this place beats your typical dried up selections. Their food is always fresh and flavorful, beaming with color. They offer all the typical dishes and a few yummy extras like eggplant, fried tofu, chow fun, sticky buns, shu mai, and more. They also have a catering menu, $280 for a large roasted pig. The lunch special here is amazing. Theres a big selection of items including fish ranging from $6.xx to $9.xx. You get rice, soup and a la carte size dish enough for 2. I went with a coworker and we ordered 2 dishes. It came with a big bowl of soup enough for each of us to get 2 to 3 servings. There was so much food I had to take the leftover to go. All for $15.xx total before tip. Best of all the food tasted great, much better than I expected given that price.

The only thing that needs improvement was they need to keep their bathrooms a little bit cleaner. Paper towels were thrown all over the place. Not their fault, but it could be improved. Despite some language barriers theres no faster and tastier way to satisfy your Chinese foods needs than to hit up this little gem on the corner. OMG....I went searching for this place when reading about it in a Michael Connelly novel. And thank God I found it. I initially went for these pork chop like thingies that Connelly had described as thin as potato chips. It was then that I got a look at the vast menu that didnt have what I normally look for but I took a chance and asked if they could accommodate me with my favorite dish: eggplant in garlic sauce. Not only did they accommodate me but they gave me my new favorite dish in all of Los Angeles and dont let my looks fool you -while Im tiny now, I used to be 314 lb., so I know food. The frame mayve changed, but the mind didnt. Once a fat girl, always a fat girl and there are worse places than this to try and put the pounds back on! While Ive only tried the egg rolls, hot and sour soup, the pork chop things (which Id purchased at the smaller, yet equally fantastic, carry out locale adjacent to the dining room) and the melt- in- ur- mouth, buttery goodness of the eggplant in garlic sauce - Id be willing to bet the other seemingly countless menu items are just as pleasing; both in presentation and digestion. Im pretty sure English isnt their second (or third, fourth...) language but u dont care because ur on their turf and what a beautiful turf it (Chinatown) is!

My family has been coming here since I was a young kid. Love the usuals, Chinese brocolli with oyster sauce, sauteed eggplant, and fish in black bean sauce.I also love their fast food side for times when I am in a hurry. The fast food side is also great for catering or parties. You can even get a whole Peking duck on that side.

Very authentic Chinese BBQ and dim sum. I routinely opt for the two-items combo, and always substitute chow fung, for the standard rice or chow mein.Decent value. There are a couple of other restaurants which are also good, but offer a better value on the dim sum.

OMFG, this is a real old school favorite from the 80s. This location has endured the times, but scaled back a bit from their humble and yet popular beginnings. This use to be a large banquet style dim sum serving power House of a restaurant. Times have changed, and new management who took over a few years back has really focused on developing a good lunch dinner Chinese restaurant. Dishes are not a-typical Chinese American affair. Their menu is still very much Cantonese style cooking with the fresh live fishes, Hong Kong Style beef filet, and basic vegetables and of course the banquet shrimp with mayo. Lunch prices are better value, so youll see bigger senior crowd. Dinner portions are bigger and still a good value. Just dont expect dim sum carts even though you can get some simple dim sum dishes is you ask. The corner deli is also available for take out and traditional Chinese BBQ.

I used to go inside the restaurant but now you can order to go quick and easy. I will prefer Dimsum over what they have, the usual 1 or 2 items combo, its not great except dimsum, baked pork bun, fried pork ball, sesame ball or sticky rice is pretty good

Most folks dont know that dim sum is eaten for breakfast. This place is packed in the mornings and I think its the best time to go. Tables turn fast so the wait isnt long.

ABC is the place to go to fill cheap Dim Sum cravings!I come here for Dim Sum all the time and its even better now that they have $1.60 for most of the items on the menu! They usually have carts pushed around that have little trays of food on it, but you can also order off a menu and get it fresh from the kitchen if its not on the cart. Generally, the food comes out fast, and most of their items are good.I always eat the beef noodle, lotus sesame ball, char siu bao, shui mai, and really enjoy their jasmine tea. I usually drink 6-8 cups of it and it complements all of the fatty oily deliciousness that is in all the food.The restaurant has a nice big seating area and the service is usually good. Generally you get what you want within five minutes. The bathrooms of this place need work, as well as the parking, but it is LA Chinatown so its reasonable to expect it to be a little ghetto.Overall this place is definitely worth its value, for two people getting a lot of food its only $15-20 dollars with tip and tax included. Dim sum = YUM YUM!

Low(er) priced super popular dim sum like har gow and shu and I mei, and although not on the menu ask for Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce. Dang! Oh and their American/Chinese section is less pleasing to the eye than say Panda, but, the portions price and taste makes this place a better choice for me.

Has dim sum and a buffet group of chinese foods to choose from.You can go cheaper at say lucky deli around the corner, but it wont taste as good.The HAR gow is decent.i find myself coming for a few of the dim sum items like har gow. They are alittle pricier than say CBS.

The best place on the west coast for duck. Food is great, but the men who work here are like robots, they are rude, dont smile and treat you like you are bothering them by being there. Also remember to check on your orders as often they forget to bring the drinks and rice.There are two parts to ABC. The storefront has prepared food to take away. Great selection and good value. If you go inside to dine, they have the same dim sum and a full menu.**** Why 1 STAR?.... I go to ABC with a dose of tolerance to just enjoy the food. Dont expect American service. The busboys are so loud, they throw the dishes into the plastic tubs so loudly and dont care about those who are eating. Theres a serious sense of disregard for the customers. Today the dimwitted busboy was so loud that several tables of customers including my family walked out. He was kicking chairs and throwing dishes and no one told him to stop. This is how to kill a great restaurant and awesome food.Parking is on the street and in the side lot.
