Food was delicious and the speed at which we received our order was very impressive. Their Ramen is delicious and definitely worthy of being the entree for anyone interested. We also tried a baked salmon roll that perfectly hit the spot, along with a tasty appetizer of tempura vegetables. Great Japanese eatery with enough variety for the whole family. Music choice was blaring 2008-2010 pop throwbacks, take that as you will.

Ramain39 was recommended by lots of neighbors and they are right. Ramain39 has great food in a relaxing, neighborhood bar and restaurant. We started with appetizers- frame, tempura fried vegetables and shrimp. Brought half of them home.Love their decor for Halloween.The staff is friendly and provide great service and are knowledgeable.Loved this place and always do our best to support local businesses.We highly recommend this restaurant. Holy moly its Godzilla the king of all Ramens. The atmosphere is delightful, very quaint and cozy. The miso ramen definitely wouldnt bring any dishonor to any samurai in that kitchen, make sure to get it extra extra spicy to satisfy the tongue. Would recommend and come again.

We love this place! Great service and great food! Our kids and we love the ramen. You get to choose from pork, chicken or beef and the level of spiciness. The California rolls are yummy too and can be added to any ramen as a combo. Great portions and good prices. Good variety of options for the whole family!

I used to love this place. Today I came and realized that they had gotten rid of my favorite ramen. Im vegetarian and used to get veggie ramen. I asked what was in the spicy miso ramen, there are no item descriptions, and when I asked the server only listed the vegetables. So I was sad when he brought it and three pieces of pork were sitting in the bowl. The others in my party enjoyed their meals, and luckily I had ordered some veggie rolls to tie me over. I dont think Ill be back though. Some of the lunch/combo specials are still reasonable for the amount of food you get but a lot of the prices are too much.

This place was slightly different than other ramen places Ive been too. The broth was different with a lot of developed flavor. I also tried the vegetarian broth and sushi. Everything was delicious 😋. The staff were very friendly and the place was clean. The only reason for not 5 stars is because there are so many good ramen places you have to knit pick. But great place, good food, and not too crowded. Im definitely coming back for more

This used to be my go to ramen place, as it had good prices, delicious ramen, and the service was really good. It is now under new management, and has completely changed. The menu originally was mainly ramen, but now it is mainly sushi and the ramen is a short list with zero descriptions or pictures. The price for ramen also changed from $12 to $17. If you’re looking for a ramen place, this is not the place to go.

Open friendly staff. We didnt wait long.Kennedy is a wonderful waitress and very knowledgeable in the menu. I appreciate the explanation in the differnet broths.I went with the spicy tonkotsu ramen with the thin noodles. I also asked for extra firm (but i think they soak for too long so the texture is soft/regular). Their CHASHU really is superb. I should have mention to have the bean sprout on the side so I can add it myself. I prefer to eat the bean sprout added in myself so it isnt soggy and has a crunch taste.The spicy level isnt spicy. The broth is similar to other ramen shops. The extra spicy paste didnt help. Japanese peeps just doesnt know how to make spicy food.The miso however to me was bomb. It is a distinct favor that is combination of sweet and miso?The furikake fries are just fries with furikake sprinkled on them. If you like fries, it is just another variation of cheese and fries.It is good marketing to do the sushi add on for additional $5.99 or $1.99 for a bowl. I will do the bowl next time.Overall, friendly staff and prices. Place is well kept and modern.*there are different types of noodles so maybe ask what kind of noodles comes with your ramen.

The black ramen(price $10.99) is pretty good. The egg was great! The sesame chicken(price $6.99, not worth it) wasnt sesame chicken. Epic fail. They fried it with tempura batter and not corn starch. The unagi bowl(price $7.99) was average nothing special. You know when a ramen place isnt legit by the gyoza (dumplings). If the gyoza is fried and not pan fried it aint legit. 4 stars for the flavor of the ramen.

Food was okay, nothing too special. There was loud hip-hop music on the speakers, and an action movie on the TV which I find very distracting. All ramen dishes are spicy by default so if you dont want spicy ramen youll have to let the server know beforehand.

The place was decent, no music but that doesnt mean its bad. We had the spicy tonkotsu ramen, black ramen and a baked Alaskan sushi. The spicy ramen was warm but not hot, not enough heat to mix the ramen and its ingredients in the bowl well. It was spicy but the paste didnt blend well in the broth and the mushrooms seemed to overpower the flavor of the broth however, the noodles were good. The sushi was watery, not sticky enough and it tasted microwaved but we ate it anyway. The food came out in good time but the service was ok, not above average or memorable, we also werent recommended anything. Overall it was an average experience.

I had the spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. It was pretty good. To me it had a smokey flavor to it. It wasnt very spicy though. Five stars because of the amazing lavender milk tea and starters. The fried gyoza and chicken karaage were amazing. Service is prompt. Facility is brand new and beautiful.

Great Ramen join one of the best in town. They have solid competition with Shin-Sen Gumi which has a line out the door an hour after they open. right now Ramen39 is a unknown gem. R39 has the best Tsukemen in OC. everywhere else does not come close. Their ramen is good their Tsukemen is great. Lots of really good options for extras in your soup. they have a respectable lists of izakaya (appetizers). My favorite is the Deep Fried Gyoza

I keep forgetting that this place exists. It’s actually pretty good, and probably the best value within a 20 mile radius. The portions are about the same as the large at Santoka Ramen (my #1) at the Mitsuwa Market which you have to pay extra for; $3 higher than Ramain39.Also, I was impressed by the pork, thick tender and creamy. They also have a lunch deal on the weekdays, I need to go back for.Adding the fact that I basically drive pass this place five days a week it makes sense for me to drop by for my ramen cravings instead of driving all the way out to Costa Mesa.

My second try at Ramen after such a long time. Therefore, please take this review with a pinch of salt.This is far the best ramen that I have had in a long time. I tried the medium spicy veggie ramen along with a little pickled ginger. The taste was exquisite in my opinion, but I am sure natives would not agree with my conclusion.I will keep coming here. And I suggest this restaurant for anyone who is looking for a good spicy Veggie Ramen (I am sure the less spicy one is also as good).

Lunch special is good and they seem to do a lot of Uber eats business, so the dining room is usually pretty quiet, so you can get a table easily.Sushi is pretty good too, but Ive only had two of the rolls so I cant speak to much of that. And they were both basically spicy tuna rolls or slight variations of it. Not the hardest sushi to get right. But I enjoyed it.

The service was excellent and the food was just as excellent. The ramen noodles themselves are a little different than traditional, but it was still good nonetheless. They do give you quite a few pieces of chashu pork which is really nice. Music is a little loud though, but its not enough to warrant being annoying or refraining from going. Definitely try this place out.

I want to start off by saying that this is my go-to spot for ramen in Huntington Beach. Ive come here many times and have always left satisfied. Theyre lunch special (11-3pm) is pretty amazing at $12.99 for an appetizer, bowl of ramen, and a roll (+$3 for a premium roll). The quality of the ramen is pretty great and you can now choose the spicy level and danger was perfect for me. It was the first time in my life I didnt have to add anything spicy to my ramen. I knocked off a star because this last visit we had 2 significant mistakes in our order, one of our appetizers came out incorrect (gyoza instead of edamame) and a wrong roll (salmon crunch roll instead of the Lion King roll). This didnt stop us from eating and we didnt send the wrong roll back instead decided to not bother the staff and eat it which was still delicious. It was just disappointing when you come expecting great service and you order 2 lunch specials (6 items total) and 2 were way off. I wouldve been more lenient if the place was slammed but there were only 3-4 groups in the restaurant. This still wont deter me from coming here, the lunch special is too good to refuse and the location to so convenient for me

Ive been to a few different Ramen joints, some good, most bad or at least not up to snuff but these guys, oh man, these guys do it right in my opinion!! Their soup base is wonderfully silky and their ingredients are some of the freshest around. Their Chashu pork is unlike any other Ive tried, they char it a bit to bring out a smoky flavor from the meat and it turns the whole bowl into magic! Their sushi is fantastic there as well! Their lunch specials are where its at for a casual yet delicious lunch! Their service is also very nice and theyll bring you what you need very quickly, including the food! So if youre looking for a great ramen spot in the area, look no further friends, you found it!

Good ramen! Bowls are big and they give you huge wooden spoon for the broth. The noodles seem freshly made, and the ingredients are fresh. My wife and I went the other night for the first time. We waited about 20 minutes. The only complaint I had was the chashu pork could have been better. It was bland and chewy. Everything else was very good! my wife really enjoyed the crispy rice with spicy tuna and avocado and I had the black ramen which was excellent.

Came here a few times, usually around 6pm, and never had an issue with getting a table right away for 2-4 people. It does get packed later on at night, though.This restaurant is located only a couple miles from me, so its nice and convenient for when we crave ramen, but dont want to drive all the way to LA. The broth is flavorful, and the chasiu pieces are so soft. If you check in with yelp, you also get a free topping.

After a long day at the LA Auto Show, we drove home but not after a peaceful dinner here. A big bowl of ramen hit the spot but so did the great service & a side if sushi. After a cup of hot green tea (with refills!) I knew Id be coming back for the next craving. Tsukemen ramen was quite good. It come out fairly quick. The noodles were very firm, but the broth and chashu were great. The salmon roll was also very good and they have a combo special. With a bowl of ramen you can get a roll for $5.99. The service was hit miss, sometimes the servers were on their A game and other times my table of 3 was ignored. Overall I will likely return in the future.

I was originally going to zankou chicken but they werent open for business yet. Ended up going to Ramin 39 thinking it a sushi joint and what a great surprise it wasnt. Stayed and tried their premium sushi rolls and black ramin. The food was nothing short of delicious and fresh as you can ever eat. Trevor was the most polite, courteous and attentive server I have had in a long time. Came here by accident but my next visits will definitely be planned. Service was great: friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. My significant other ordered the spicy tonkatsu and I ordered their tsukemen. Ive seen pictures of their tsukemen being served in a wooden/bamboo bowl (?), but mine wasnt served in such a manner, unfortunately. However, the taste was not disappointing! The tsukemen broth was rich and delicious, so was the broth for their spicy tonkatsu. Ive tried many top 10 ramen places in OC, but Ramain39 did not disappoint.

I asked many different waiters/waitresses multiple visits if their veggie ramen was vegan and they said yes. I found out that it has butter in it, so it is NOT vegan. Please learn the difference between vegan and vegetarian. It is a serious health risk to have food service employees not understand that as so many people are allergic to dairy.

My friends and I go once a month. Disappointed that they took nigiri sushi off the menu, but the taste of everything else makes us still love it!Best apps: fried oysters and squid yakitori. I love the ramen here. I order the miso ramen with chashu instead of the ground pork. Their chashu is to die for, they cook it perfectly. I love the wood ear mushrooms, theyre so delicate and tasty.The sushi is hit or miss depending on the day. I usually only get a spicy tuna roll, and sometimes the spice aspect tastes odd. The store is small and always packed. The evening I came to ramain 39 there was a 30 minute wait for 2. The food here is amazing and well priced. Between two we spent $35 and both left satisfied and full. The service was slow even tho it was packed. Asside from the mediocre service and small environment the food was great and I had a great dinner here.

Tonkatsu ramen (spicy or not) kale noodles, and chicken instead of pork.They make it Japanese style. Love it!Only problem I have is they set the bar so high that when I go to L.A. their ramen is never as good. Many ramen places drown their spicy ramen in sesame seed oil. Hate that!Ramain 39 stays true to real ramen with a few delicious exceptions. Starting from the broth Japanese pork is gamie, ours is mellower. Kale noodles which maintains a springy texture from the first bite till the last. Chicken that is nicely browned... Caramelized with just the right amount of salt and pepper.Like many foodies I have tried to make their ramen at home... Not as good, destroyed the kitchen, and spent a lot more money.Luckily they are just down the street!

Go with the spicy the tonkotsu. Its perfectly spicy and has more flavor in the broth than the non spicy. Its not just spicy for the sake of being spicy, its a beautifully crafted heat. The Chashu was some of the best Ive ever had.
