Very good! I was missing Woodhouse BBQ in Union City and found this to be very close! But, no pork intestine on a stick? Even though we didn’t find that, everything else was excellent. Highly recommended and thanks to the staff we got more good ideas!

Skewers are great. The lamb and beef BBQ sticks are pretty classic. They also have a variety of other dishes like wonton soup, oysters, and Im pretty sure they have their own boba tea bar to serve those kinds of drinks. Great place to go for a trendy night out.

My friend recomended this place to me since it has hours from dinner till almost midnight. The BBQ is good and I like the spcy vagetable soup (malatang). I have ordered to go for more than 5 times and one dinner I took my son to dine in. Pretty cool and always popular during weekend.

The taste is pretty decent here and the meat pieces are BIG. They share a wall and opening to the Ume next door and if you order from Ume the server will bring your tea to your table. Definitely cheaper than other BBQ locations. Our server who wore glasses handed us napkins without us having to ask MULTIPLE times while we were busy digging in with our fingers. THANK YOU. However, other servers all looked like they had an attitude. The restaurant decor and furniture looked really cheap and unprofessional. Will still return for the competitive price and value.

The first thing you’ll notice about this place is the garbage bags taped to the windows. This is due to the insane glare they get in the afternoons and evenings, and I guess the owner is too cheap to buy shades? They tried to seat us in the “blast zone” of light (coming through the door, which is not covered) and when I asked for another table, I got a scowl and they reluctantly reseated us. The food wasn’t bad, but it was pricey - all pictured is about $25 before tip. Meat was pretty chewy and left us unsatisfied. Honestly, for that kind of money, just go to Sia across the street or Gen down the road.

There was no soap and there was a big dirty mop bucket right next to the toilet and the sink. The owners dont seem to care about sanitation, which is a shame.

I really wanted to give it 5 star since the food was really good.However, the service was super super slow. We only had two people and didn’t order much and it took more than 1.5hours for all the dishes to be served. The last one was bbq beef and that alone took us more than 20min to wait.Be careful if you want to dine in before 9pm, you may need to waste a lot of time on sitting there and waiting.

Food is great and authentic! Theyre finally opened for dine in. Theres not a lot of seating either so its better to arrive within the first 2 hours of opening since they filled up fast!Each skewer was made fresh and handed to us right when they were done! The chef kept kept bringing skewers out to every table so we got a chance to see what the other skewers looked like.-1 star for the service though. the waiter was on his airpods and didnt serve us water or anything to drink. We saw that none of the tables had water and had boba only. The women from the boba place ended up taking our order and we ended up ordering drinks from the boba place instead.

The place has a decent skewer, I would recommend trying this place if you like authentic Chinese skewer. The UMExAK milk tea however is a rip off. It is way too expensive for what they offer, if you order online before they let you choose large cup for extra dollar but that option is gone and for 5 filler, you get such a little drink. Would not come back here untill the price is reasonable.

I like their veggies better than the meat(lamb), not deep fried with some freshness of the veggies reserved. Lamb is not so professional compared to bbq in China, less cripsy on the outside and a bit too hard on the inside. Less 味精 and sugar overall would be good for a cleaner taste.

I believe this place tried to scam me on Doordash by ordering almost $300 worth of food on my account. I live nowhere near Newark, never heard of this place before.I have text confirmation setup, and I got a text randomly to put in the code to confirm my order. When I look to see what the order is, it looks like almost everything on the menu in an order from Ace King BBQ. I thought it was just a case of my password was leaked and someone was trying to buy a ton of food, BUT the address set in my account is set to THEIR address.So not only did they think it was a neat idea to login to someones random Doordash account, but place an order for their own food, (I assume) proceed to not make it, then keep the money without losing product because its supposed to be picked up by them. Great place for Chinese BBQ skewers. Second time here, skewers came out in about 5 - 7 mins, heavily seasoned the way I like it and piping hot. You can see the steam leaking from the chicken when you take a bit off of it, definitely wasnt left sitting to cool.One off thing is that if you order man-tou as a dessert with your meat, they will ALWAYS bring the man-tou out first (probably easiest and fastest to cook).

Also, sometimes they can split the order and sometimes they cant. The main reason is that they are afraid that the card will be charged an additional handling fee once more. This is not legal. In fact, we can not pay. Otherwise, you can split the order (it is not easy) for each person. The culture of the country is different. We young people just like to divide orders and force them to do so. It is a bit discriminatory.
