This place is a find. We stayed over this past weekend to visit Mill Valley. The hotel is very nice, most likely updated recently. The beds are very comfortable. There’s a water view, at least from our room. They have a good breakfast, not just continental. They have munchies and wine in the afternoon, and cookies around 7pm. The people are friendly and very helpful. There is an EV charger in the parking lot that works! All in all, it’s a great place that will suit your needs for a visit to Marin.
Hotel is pretty outdated. Rooms have very old furniture and heating/cooling system is outdated. Staff is friendly and somewhat compensate for otherwise old hotel. Nice location.
Good experience overall. Rooms can tend to be quite noisy, but didn’t bother me as I slept well. Breakfast was very good with many options and on proper plates for an American hotel. Very little plastic waste which is nice. Staff was also friendly and location good to visit San Francisco and the area around it.
Three words: Peaceful, Beautiful, Serene. These words completely describe Acqua Hotel. The hotel is conveniently situated just out of SF and an easy commute into the city. The views by the lake were amazing and just what we needed for our vacation. Our room was clean and comfortable. The details and decor are perfect and everything feels like an upscale stay at a great price! The staff are so friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious and wonderfully prepared. We would love to stay again. Acqua Hotel has got it right!
Stayed here 1 night when I got married in December and it was so lovely. Wish we could stay longer and will definitely recommend and return. Cute room and excellent breakfast and eating area that overlooks the water.

The staff were kind and attentive. Our room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. As other guests have mentioned, the rooms are designed in calming tones and simple modern furnishings. I appreciated the glass hallways meant to focus on the views of Richardson Bay. The wine and cheese was fun along with the fresh baked evening cookies. The breakfast was better than other hotel offerings and cooked fresh with nice additions such as an oatmeal bar, cereal bar and waffle station. Sausalito and Tiburon are both only 5-10 minutes away (if you plan to visit any of those locations). They do have bike rentals for the path just outside their doors. I think it would be fun to include yard games for guests during warmer months since they have such a nice lawn area (croquette or maybe corn hole). The Acqua Hotel was great and we would definitely stay again if in the area.

We came here for a night/weekend for our 15th wedding anniversary. The front desk staff was amazing and super nice! Very attentive. The room is clean and has its charms. The bed is comfy and the bathroom is awesome! Has a tiny fridge-no microwave, but thats okay. The view of this bay is gorgeous! Quiet and relaxing. Even walking around in the rain on the grounds was stellar! We had a great time! Definitely will be coming back here for another stay.
A lot of nice touches, like the Trek bikes and warm cookies in the evening. The beds are really comfortable, and the breakfast is good. The location is also perfect for all of our area activities. Above all, it is the friendly and helpful staff (especially Genevieve) that makes the real difference here. We stayed for our 38th wedding anniversary last year, and returned for our 39th this year, primarily because of the people. They genuinely make you feel welcome here! Hats-off to the Acqua Hotel leadership!
My bf took me here for Valentines day and it was great. Beautiful views, very nice customer service. The room was comfortable and cute. Loved the tub! Lots of amenities! Will definitely be back.
Positive: Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. Hotel has a delicious breakfast buffet, as well as a free wine and cheese reception and warm cookies every evening.
The service was amazing! It might take a minute or two to get the AC units where you want them.The breakfast was not huge, but tasty and the outdoor seating on the second floor is really nice. The outdoor seating also has a semi-covered area that looks useful in the winter.You can check out complimentary bikes to ride around the area too.Overall it is an awesome place by the water where I would love to stay again.
Placed strategically with views of the Bay and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Importantly, the daily breakfast is richly comfortable with 24/7 tea/coffee available and daily complimentary wine and cheese in the evening. Extremely cosy and comfortable - which feels extremely therapeutic. Walking distance to comfort fast foods and Safeway to ease basic hunger pangs.
This immaculately clean slice of heaven has a breathtaking view and thoughtful little flourishes. They have a wonderful breakfast in the morning, wine and cheese at 5, and bikes to rise around the inlet bay. I was floored by their attention to detail. The bathrooms have makeup remover wipes and bath salts. The room had wine glasses. We loved it, will return.
The husband and I came here for our anniversary. I was looking for a tranquil low key place and this hotel checked all of the boxes.Genevieve had helped me with checking in. She was exceptional! She made our stay even more worth while with upgrading our room.I appreciated all the extra touch they include with your stay. They had a welcome package which included a half bottle of wine, cookies, and water. They also surprised us with a bottle of champagne and chocolate in the room.The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Room was a good size. I love the fact that they had a balcony and individual ac/ heating units, especially with the pandemic. I felt very safe staying there.Location was great. There were many places to go within relative distance.
Great location and room. Tremendously helpful and pleasant staff. Would rate it a 5 star experience if not for the uncomfortable feeling that comes from management requiring masks on all the employees. Hotel also doubles down by posting signs requiring masks on all customers. To our knowledge there is still no well controlled study that proves deflecting a portion of breath sideways does anything important beyond hiding smiles. The young healthy men at desk were behind a tall plastic wall reminiscent of a tenderloin currency booth. Will elevate up to 5 stars when they finally remove the barriers and masks that divide staff from guests.
Every detail was perfect! Our room had a great water view, there is a nice walkway around the hotel, the bed was very comfortable, we can adjust the room temperature, wonderful shower and all the shampoo, body wash were provided. There were also complimentary wine and chocolates in our room. Coffee or hot water for tea is always ready in the Lobby or at breakfast 7-10 AM. The breakfast buffet is outstanding! Much better that those available at other hotels: anything you would want from a delicious vegetable frittata to oatmeal, variety of muffins and breads, yogurt, oatmeal and fresh fruit.. You can eat in the dining area or go outside to the atrium & have a cozy fire. Acqua is a superior place to stay. Thank you to all who made our stay there so wonderful.
This hotel is a hidden gem!I was very pleased to discover this hotel; the rooms are clean with spectacular views and access to the garden (at least the one we booked). The staff is very friendly and ready to accommodate your needs. The hotel provides a delicious complimentary breakfast for all guests and wine and cheese in the afternoon. I will definitely come back to stay again.

After trying to find a Good hotel in Mill Valley, we have found a Great Hotel and wonderful staff, that has made our stay like staying the Best. We will be coming here Again!
My company hosted our yearly get together here. It’s fast enough to be away from the city buzz and the views are fantastic. I enjoyed the common areas with a view of the water. The rooms are very spacious and had balconies.
Check in was easy. Front desk staff person was very friendly and helpful. Guests receive a goody bag at check in with water, wine and cookies. There is coffee and tea service in the lobby at all hours. Refrigerator in room. Rooms are clean and well appointed. We had a beautiful view of the bay and could sit outside on the patio area to enjoy the weather. Full service free breakfast for guests from 7-10 am every day.
We stayed at this lovely hotel for nearly three weeks. During the entire stay, everything was absolutely great. The staff was extremely professional, friendly and yet discreet, with great customer service skills. Our room was impeccably cleaned every time a cleaning was scheduled. Most of all, our bed was absolutely one of the most comfortable beds we slept on. The breakfast was quite lavish and high quality. This hotel is a gem... great views, great long walking paths, and very pet friendly! We highly recommend it and will look forward to staying here again.
Positive: Beautiful location. Negative: The bed is awful. Saggy and uncomfortable, I actually decided to go home that night. Didn¿t even sleep there. And the dust ruffle is very old and dated.

Lovely staff, with a great view from our room. Very quiet with lots of good restaurants close by, so perfect for a relaxing getaway. Did a one night stay for our anniversary during the pandemic and they had really high cleaning standards, which we were happy about. They give you half bottle of wine during your stay and because Im pregnant, they gave me a alcohol-free champagne. It was delicious and I really appreciated they had something for me too.
My wife and I just celebrated our 21st anniversary at Acqua Hotel, it was exceptional! The staff was very courteous and professional, the room and view of Richardson Bay was especially beautiful. The rooms offer plenty of room, comfy beds, and great layout. Acqua Hotel also offers a very tasty breakfast with everything from fresh fruit, yogurt, danish, pastries, etc...They offer Trek Mountain Bikes to use at no charge along many local trails, so hope to have more time on our next visit to explore Mill Valley and Sausalito!We will be referring our friends and clients to enjoy this gem in Mill Valley, close to the Larkspur Ferry and San Francisco!
Great place. Primary concern was its proximity to the 101 (noise), but that was fine as we were facing the estuary. Big comfortable rooms with free bikes to use
Theyre trying to make a luxury hotel from an old building, and it works in places, not in others. Overall, though, its a nice place. Im not sure its worth the price (yes, even in the Bay Area), but its nice enough. The location is a bit weird, and very loud on the freeway, but the water makes up for it a bit.
Stayed there with my wife over the weekend and had a lovely experience. The staff was nice and attentive, the room was comfortable, and the location was perfect. Great dining nearby, excellent outdoor activities all around, while close to SF and wine country. A great spot.
Pros:Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, lots of breakfast choices.Cons: Hotel has double glass doors to outside which helps to reduce Hwy 101 noise, but if you like to have fresh air the freeway noise may be an issue. No maid service, they will put fresh towels and sheets outside your door so you can make up your own room. That said, I should have figured on the noise given its location next to Fwy, there is a reason for ear plugs.

The hotel and customer service was amazing. They work hard for their money. Breakfast was okay (covid time, I bet usually amazing) The room was dark and sorry of creepy. Very musty but its on the bay. I had a huge blank wall in the room. Definitely needed more light and art... Or something. Dog friendly!!

Most comfortable hotel bed I think Ive ever had. Rooms were brilliant, clean, spacious and very well equipped. The evening wine reception is a great touch and there is a great selection at breakfast. The downside is being right alongside the freeway, but the building is well designed to avoid any noise.
Visited for 5 days and it was a wonderful stay. It was the closest to being on a cruise ship - the staff were so helpful and kind. We had a long trip and upon arrival, we had just missed wine and cheese, but no worries.... we were given a bottle of wine and we had 2 glasses before we even went to our room! The rooms were very clean and I love laminate instead of carpet. Everything worked. The shower was delightful and the fridge actually kept things cold. I was so impressed with the attention to us and the amenities. The free breakfast was a smorg better than most restaurants. I dont often give 5 stars, but I would have given six!
What a lovely hotel. The staff is highly attentive. The lake/mountain view with balcony is to die for. Daily complimentary breakfast, wine and cheese in the early evening and fresh baked cookies. Bikes on site to tour the neighborhood which smells like an enchanted forest. I will definitely be coming back! This place is wonderful. Only downside is the freeway noise and you can hear the staff walking around pretty loudly in the early morning hours. I just used earplugs and all was good.
This is a lovely hotel, especially in these Covid times. It was clear that Acqua took every precaution, from required face masks to Sanitation Stations. When we arrived at our room, there was take between the door and the door jam, indicating that it had been hermetically sealed. Because no staff was allowed in the room, there was no housekeeping service. I just called the front desk and clean towels were delivered promptly. The view of the bay was gorgeous; it was a lovely walk, with park benches along the way. The best part was the daily breakfast! My husband went upstairs to get ours and brought it to our room. DELICIOUS!! This will not be our last visit to the Acqua!!

Excellent staff members!! This hotel has free wi-fi, free parking, free breakfast, AND is pet friendly. There is also a great walking trail and they have free bike rental. Each room has its own patio or balcony. This place is WAY more expensive than what we normally spend on hotels, so we were skeptical... but we felt it was worth it! We would absolutely stay here again and definitely recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great experience at Hotel Acqua- exceeding expectations. From the super friendly and helpful check in, we were in for a treat. We enjoyed a short bike ride on the complimentary bicycles, along with wine and cheese and cookies, sitting out on the back patio area and watching the sunset. In the morning, the breakfast was outstanding with fresh pastries, fruit, eggs, waffles and more. Room itself was top notch with a view of the water. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed the location next to Muir Woods and Mt. Tam. The decor has a modern vibe with some exposed cement and brick bits here and there. Our room was surprisingly insulated from any highway sounds and afforded a nice view over the water. The outdoor space offered a cool place to hang out and enjoy the view of Richardson Bay. Continental breakfast was included, but a bit backlogged with the COVID protocol. Acqua Hotel is a solid choice for a no-frills hotel in the area for a local getaway.

Rooms are spacious.Hotel is clean, not overly crowded, and the view of the water is beautiful. I have no regrets about staying here and would do so again in a moment.The area is nice. It is right next to a really yummy restaurant, a Ferrari dealership, and a quiet business park. It is right on the water.
The Acqua hotel is in a nice setting and just a 10 minute drive to Muir Woods. After checking in around 4pm we stepped out for dinner in Sausalito and upon return from dinner my wife and I entered the building and was passing the front desk and the night shift desk clerk questioned If we had checked in. We told her we had but she was skeptical and my wife showed her a bag the earlier desk clerk had given us with a few items in it. We felt somewhat accosted and unsettled by the experience. Hopefully the next three days are smoother sailing.
Stayed here for 3 days while visiting family in SF. Fantastic customer service and breakfast was amazing. Right on the 101, thought traffic noise would be a problem, never heard a thing. Great views and super close to stores, food, and gas. Will definitely stay here again.
Lovely hotel on water. Near Rte 101 but hear noise from the highway in the hallway. Room very quiet. Nice breakfast buffet and, most importantly, great coffee. We attended a function at the hotel which was organized well with attentive staff.
Perfect place for vacation.I have booked room on my husband’s birthday, I gave him surprise and he loved it.The view was amazing, from my room I can see water, cloud and mountains.It was so good, relaxing and romantic.
I was very happy with our stay. Judy and Michael were both very lovely and kind to us. We were there to celebrate our 24th anniversary. We loved the view, bike usage and amenities they offered. We will be back soon!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Stayed here with our dog on first floor. They have wine and cheese hour and cookies and a pretty full breakfast. Grass area in back is nice and front desk personnel were very friendly. Room was clean and everything worked great!
I loved my stay at the Acqua Hotel in Mill Valley, California. First off, Mill Valley is a good area to stay when visiting San Francisco and wanting to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city centre while still wanting to soak in the sights. Its quite close to Sausalito which is a popular destination among tourists. In fact, the hotel loans sturdy bicycles (+ helmets) and is located right on a bike path so you can bike into Sausalito and further across the Golden Gate Bridge if you so desire. The hotel staff offered a warm welcome with a complimentary wine and cheese every evening. There were also freshly bakes cookies nightly. The lounge area where these are set up is cozy enough as is the backyard where a lot of guests gathered to partake in the complementary offerings. Every room has a view of the water. The rooms itself were very clean, quite comfortable, and I loved the organic soaps and shampoos they provided. Finally, the complimentary breakfast buffet was a treat on its own. This place isnt cheap, but you definitely get an experience here that will get you your moneys worth. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Great location! Close by to everything. I have to mention the amazing, friendly and helpful staff.... truly exceptional service! The view from my room was breathtaking! And not to mention the wine and cheese in the evenings and freshly baked cookies.... Wow! I went to S.F. to celebrate my birthday and they had champagne and chocolates delivered to my room....who does that nowadays?! Acqua Hotel does...thats who! I look forward to my next stay with them 👍👍 😀
The best stay !!! The hotel is very beautiful, overlooking the bay. A great get away to relax and unwind with a lot of perks. Aside from a very accommodating, professional staff, we are so impressed how this hotel takes really good care of their client and sees to it everything will be a great experience. When we got to our room, we received a call from the front desk, checking if everything was fine. they have a good american hot breakfast buffet, wine and cheese snacks in the afternoon and cookies in the evening, 24/7 coffee and tea. They have complimentary bikes as well. This is a wonderful hotel. I was also given discount for being a triple A member ( depend on the days you stay). Affordable, reasonable price for a high end small hotel. I highly recommend this...my family and myself enjoyed our stay. And putting out a word out there is our way of saying thank you for excellent service! Very clean hotel with a lot of amenities...The hotel hallway and rooms smell very good. I love to travel, and from the previous hotels that I have stayed which has BIG names, this Acqua hotel is just a haven...a small paradise and the BEST in accommodation and price
Its clearly an older hotel thats been updated. The most noticeable thing is that the room door originally opened to an outside walkway, but its now enclosed with glass and air conditioned. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was small but cozy and bed was comfortable. Outside gardens are well kept, and you literally are on the waters edge. Location and price were the best parts - just the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge and a lot cheaper than in-town hotels. However, we used it as a starting for for Muir Woods and parts farther north like Sonoma.
A very pleasant small room with one queen bed. Did not have carpet which I consider a plus. There was a Bluetooth speaker/clock that was provided in the room, and charging stations for devices. A small balcony appropriate to stand on (too small for sitting) with a fabulous water view. Everything was very clean. A couple of minor maintenance issues: a sink handle that was loose and fell off, and one of the (three or more) charging stations didn’t seem to work. Attentive and friendly staff. Pleasant continental breakfast.
I liked the hotel. It was cute and quiet. Breakfast was good too. I travel a lot and would love this kind of breakfast at every hotel I stay. We rode the bike and had the wine and cheese in the evening as well. All complimentary.
Nice hotel with cool views for the price paid. No coffee or tea in the rooms. You have to go down to the front desk to get it. Also there are no ice vending machines. We tried calling the front desk but no one answered. So we went on a walk all around the hotel trying to find one. Finally get down to ground floor and there was a nice man who took our bucket and filled it up from the kitchen with ice. Super weird. But there are free cookies after 7pm. And the breakfast buffet is one of the better ones Ive had!
A friend and I (I, being Karen Motenko-Neal) stayed at the Acqua Hotel in Mill Valley recently. We were impressed, comfortable, and ate a delicious cooked breakfast (to order), with wine at our welcome the night before. I especially want quiet and clean. We got both of those perfectly.
Acqua has handled this year’s pandemic successfully making the hotel environment as safe as possible for the guests. A welcoming respite a tad north of Saucy and the City makes Acqua an easy drive to the wine valleys, Pacific Coast Highway, and points beyond. Highly recommend. Nothing but excellent.
I am slightly hesitant to leave this review because I do not want others to know just how amazing this hotel is.Rooms:The body wash, soap and other amenities were high caliber. The beds were comfortable. We ended up staying an extra night because of how exhausted we were from travelling and how much their hotel made us feel comfortable and relaxed during this tragic pandemic.Cleanliness:Clean beyond measure. This hotel would make an OCD person feel relaxed. We always bring Clorox wipes, isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle to clean hotels before we stay. (Pre-COVID) and now its is needed more than ever. I wiped and wiped, and nothing. Ive NEVER experienced that before. My wife was impressed and she is NEVER impressed with hotels cleaning skills (or anything for that matter xD).Staff:Zen and Will were the paragon of customer service. Always asking what we need. They provided gift bags with cookies and brownies in them for my kids. We had had a cancellation on a previous hotel and late at night we were accomodated.Lydia was so sweet and hard-working. She and her colleagues worked hard and it showed. I wish I could make up an excuse to visit the area again just so I could stay there again. My family and I have fond memories of because of this hotel.Breakfast was the best out of all the hotels we stayed at on our trip. Vanilla Belgian waffles, fresh fruit and oatmeal, among other items. They had delicious alkaline water that all of us loved and were always pre-chilled.During these hard times, their superb customer service, hard work, friendliness, and hospitality made me feel like I knew them and was welcomed. Ive never felt as relaxed and welcomed anywhere else I have stayed in my life.Every hotel should strive to be like this one.
The staff was very nice and helpful for the most part. The breakfast was simply amazing - and good coffee! Unfortunately they placed me in room 111 which is right next to a service door that when slams - makes an ungodly amount of noise (like a bolt of lightning struck right next to the bed). This coupled with the fact that they had the gas pressure washer running at 10:00am right outside the room was enough for me to write a review. I rarely write reviews but for $315 (including tax) I expected far superior peace and quiet. (UPDATED)Sad to say with such a great location but I would not stay here again.Update: Genevieve at the front desk made my experience a whole star better. She was friendly, asked the right questions, and made things right by me. I would in fact stay here again just because of her.
Absolutely loved this hotel. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We enjoyed wine and cheese by the fire. The room was luxurious, all amenities were provided. Will definitely return.
Ok place to stay if youre in the area. It could be rather noisy since youre close to the highway. Clean, decent breakfast, happy hour is exceptional! Couple of things though: 1) we found some food from previous guests in the fridge 2) my 2y old son found a piece of broken glass under the chair.
Nice little hotel near San Fran. A little older but nicely updated. Staff was very nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast each morning was delicious with a lot of choices. Wine and cheese in the evening was a nice treat.

I told Kealer I was sick and went to the restroom, immediately she told the management I got unscheduled breaks. She says there is no break in this company. I asked her several times to help me understand something, she said she was busy with her thing and told me to study by myself. Later, she said I was not paying attention. She got everyone fire at the front desk. She is the bully at the front desk.
Its a gem. Website does not do it justice. Booked online. First boutique hotel we have ever stayed in. What a wonderful place! A block from beach!! We had a suite with full size fridge, coffee pot, and sink, and 2 burner cooktop. Pots, pans, and 4 place settings with silverware and utensils. It had a real closet in hallway! Nicely decorated. Nice layout. Nicely kept. Nicely cleaned daily. Two pools (we put our feet in one). Maggie was wonderful! She had recommendations that were spot on! Loved everything about The Aqua but the tiny coffee packets for full size maker, just gotta use a few to have coffee and not colored water. Soft towels. Comfy bed. If ever we go back to Ft Lauderdale, Im staying there again!!!!
What a lovely hotel with amazing staff. We stayed here for my friends wedding last year and everything was perfect. Obviously the eco-friendly aspect of the hotel’s design and amenities is a major plus, and it didn’t feel at all like we were missing out on anything as a result of the hotels efforts to reduce their carbon footprint.The staff also went above and beyond when there was a possibility that the wedding venue in a state park might be closed unexpectedly for fire warnings. The hotel staff worked with us to arrange a last minute backup plan to have the wedding on the hotel property. We didn’t end up needing to go for the contingency plan, but I was so impressed that the hotel staff all jumped on board to help a stressed out wedding party with last minute accommodations. I’d definitely recommend the Acqua hotel.
I stayed here with my grandfather for 3 days. Each of us had a room next to each other that was 299 per night. So we spent well over 2k while here. We had checked out on the 3rd day and I had to drive him just one block down the street for some testing with neuropsychologist. I didnt realize that I was going to be waiting for him for half the day so i quickly returned to the hotel to see if i could get back into one of the rooms and take a shower while i was waiting. The lady at the front desk told me that the rooms had already been cleaned. I got the feeling that that wasnt the case so I went upstairs and saw that either of the rooms had been cleaned. Keep in mind from the point that we checked out to the point that we returned was 19 min. Even if they had started cleaning the rooms the moment that we checked out, there would be absolutely no way they would have had the rooms cleaned within 19 min. I guess thats why I felt they were being dishonest to begin with.. Also keep in mind that we spent over 2k for the 3 days we were here. I didnt really feel like I was asking for a favor because check out is 12pm and I was only asking to get back in there for an hour or so to take a shower before I had to drive for 5 hours. So initially I thought the hotel was nice but after being lied to, I most certainly wouldnt return to any Aqua establishment...Ron IsabelI generally dont write very many reviews but felt I should share my experience with other fellow travelers...
I wanted to thank Acqua Hotel and specially Guadeloupe for accommodating our family during the fire evacuation. We stayed one night during yesterday’s evacuation from Solano County and found a exceptional clean and friendly hotel. Guadeloupe helped us to stay with our dog and we were able to escape the stress of evacuation during our stay. We would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you!!
This is the place to stay....especially if you travel for business. Free parking and the staff is fantastic! The breakfast is really good and is complimentary. I found it easier to stay here rather than in the city. Much more relaxed environment.
This hotel is just off the highway in Mill Valley, a convenient distance from San Francisco. The staff was very friendly and the room we are staying in is beautiful, simple and modern. A cooked breakfast buffet is offered each morning which is great.

I want to give this hotel 1 star for the simple fact that theyve ruined my expectations for other hotels. Im now consistently disappointed when staying elsewhere because Acqua has set the bar too high.For background, my family and I are on a 2-week roadtrip and have stayed at SEVEN hotels so far. Each and every one, other than Acqua, has been mediocre or utterly disappointing.I am never easily impressed when it comes to cleanliness and service. Im obscenely critical and was neurotic before COVID-19 about germs and such. Obviously, a roadtrip is a terrible idea given these circumstances, but it happened.Acqua made us feel safe and more at ease with our questionable timing for a vacation. Our room was nearly immaculate. We went thru practically every inch with sanitizing wipes and disinfecting alcohol but we hardly found a speck of dust or any yuckiness. Even our 11 and 17-year-olds were impressed.Their staff provided us with complementary goodies that most others wouldnt even consider. There were so many small details that made it an unforgettable experience, but overall, simply put, I will never be the same. My once-blissfully-ignorant experiences are a thing of the past and I now know that exceptional service and standards exist.I can never go back to anything less. And what makes it even more frustrating is that their rates are so reasonable for what they provide, I almost feel paranoid that its too good to be true. Im constantly comparing them to others like an ex-boyfriend to recent dates that just isnt up to par and you find yourself daydreaming of running into that ex.
EXTREMELY friendly staff, super helpful. Wendy rocks and the rest of the staff was great. They have a wine and cheese tasting at 530pm, as well as cookies at 7:00pm and breakfast every morning. Highly recommended
We were definitely blessed to be able to utilize The Acqua Hotel services supplied by Judy Gilmore. She was beyond amazing in making our 50th anniversary vow renewal the most special day (even more so than our original wedding) by treating us like a king and queen. She gave us flowers, a cake, a basket filled with sourdough bread, crackers, a variety of cheeses, fruits, champagne, etc. etc. etc. She waited on us like we were royalty and weve never experienced such an amazing awesome event as one that we thought would be very low key. The ultimate surprise came when our daughter and her husband flew in from Denver to surprise us by being with us just for the day. Judy complied with every wish I/we had. You at The Acqua are so fortunate to have her leading the way through the masses of hotel demands from other clients and I just hope your leadership realizes what a gem they have in Judy. We will definitely return to The Acqua on our next visit and stay there to experience the fullness of the hotel. Thank you Judy !!!! Nancy & Doug M
We spent several days at Acqua while in town for my brothers wedding. The hotel is fantastic; friendly helpful staff, great breakfast, beautiful views and great location for the coast, city and wine country day trips. The only frustration was how easily the room key cards demagnetized. I literally was unable to enter my room 5 times in four days, and had to go down to the front desk for a new key. Evidently they use eco-friendly key cards which are susceptible to demagnetization.
Love setting on Shelter Bay in Mill Valley. The King Room Deluxe was large and comfortable. It had a lovely view of Shelter Bay and was very quiet. The Breakfast Buffet was excellent and well stocked. The Veggie Fritatta was outstanding, and espresso drinks are available. It has very convenient access to Muir Woods, Sausolito and Marin Highlands.
Was a nice room. Until I got my bill and saw there was a charge for cleaning cause they said we smoked in the room. Me nor my wife or 8 year old daughter smoke. If you stay, and you see someone smoking, tell them to walk away from the room or you will be charged. Its not right to be charged for someone elses habit.
I travel often for work and hands down this hotel has the best customer service! The amenities are similar to other hotels, with the exception of the beautiful view behind the property. I look forward to staying with these guys again! Youll be sorely disappointed if you dont book a room at Acqua Hotel!

This hotel was a wonderful host to a professional workshop I attended. The views from the meeting room are beautiful. They provided tea and coffee all day as well as wine and cheese in the evening.
Perfect location that sits right beside the bay. Their rooms are very nice and provide a comfortable bed, nice sunchair, cable tv, AC and much more. They even provide mountain bikes to explore the outdoors. I would definitly come back again and recommend it to others.
Th hotel staff was very kind and generous with their time and attention. The rooms were spacious and well serviced. I appreciate the location away from the dense population areas.
We live in Windsor and had to evacuate from the Kincade wildfire, with 2 dogs in the car needed a pet freindly place to go. Got directed here by Best Western in Corte Madera as they were already full. What a Godsend! The staff here was amazing! Power got cut off, but still had hot coffee, hot breakfast, wine and cheese! The manager even brought in charging devices so I was able to charge phones and lighting! This will be our base camp for all future San Fransisco visits!
Acqua Hotel is locate close to shopping center and great restaurants. 15 minutes from San Francisco. Close to Muir Wood Park. From the bedrooms you have this amazing view of Mill Valley and Tam Mountain. Great place to stay in Marin.
Perfect location for our honeymoon...away from the city hustle but close enough to all things touristy! Great staff, excellent breakfast included, cookies and wine reception in the evening! Highly recommend!

It was fine, when given the correct information from the desk staff, different people all gave very, very different answers to some very basic questions, the property is just as its advertised. Rooms are quite smaller than they appear to be in pictures on the web and elsewhere.
I was bartending for a catering company for a wedding reception at the Aqua Hotel. The hotel is in a beautiful location. The hotel staff bent over backwards to make sure that the guests were happy. They were amazing to work with.
Loved it to bits! We were worn out & tired from travel all day and walked late in the evening -the person on front desk was super welcoming, gave us best rates and even upgraded without asking. The room are pristine, views gorgeous and staff friendly - I am going to come back again and again!

Hotel was nice and professional the only thing Id recommend is in order to ride the bikes you have to be 15 and it doesnt seem like there would be a logical reason why you have to be 15 to ride the bikes Id recommend maybe change It to something like 15 and under must have a parent or guardian.

Probably the absolute worst hotel Ive ever stayed in in my life with the most irresponsible front desk employees that Ive ever seen in my life that was so unprofessional uncourteous and I would not recommend anyone ever stay there again and were going to cut all of our corporate ties that weve had for years from them because they are totally out of control the management upper management doesnt have the ability to control their employees totally ridiculous attitudes and actions how in the world can you ever be forced to leave a hotel because you took your mask off to eat

I came to Acqua for a work retreat and loved my stay. The room was comfortable, and the food excellent.
Rude employees always and forever. They forget. They work there. So awful. The management for years is HORRIBLE. DO not spend your funds for them to insult you.

The complimentary extras made a huge difference.Wine and cheese reception at evening was great- several red and white wines to choose from and good quality with cheese/crackers/fruit. Followed by warm cookies at night. Breakfast buffet was very good and snacks/coffee/Tea available all day. Also, free bikes available for ride around the water.

2023-07-05 19:35:05This hotel is underrated and deserves 5 stars all the way! The location is excellent, the rooms are comfy, and the staff surpasses your expectations! I am not sure how the managers at this hotel found staff that care so deeply about their guests. We arrived one Saturday night at 10pm to find that our room only had one king bed, instead of the two queens we had requested so that our toddler would have her own bed. The man at the desk was very concerned about this error and brought up a fold away bed right away. Our toddler loved this bed more than a queen bed! He offered to move us to another room the next day, but we decided to stay as the room worked well for us. The next day we got a call from the manager apologizing for the error and making sure we were comfortable. The hotel offers wine, cheese and fruit at 5pm and I watched the staff keep an eye on the level of snacks that were left behind to make sure there was always enough. The breakfast was the best free hotel breakfast I have ever had BY FAR!! Absolutely delicious and they even offer cappuccinos and fancy coffees for free. The views in the back to the water are spectacular. We wish this hotel was closer to where we live so that we could stay more often! Absolutely 100% recommended. The staff made our stay better than we ever imagined :)

The complimentary breakfast was very good, the wine and cheese hour was impressive and the cookies in the evening are the perfect treat! I would stay here again. The only thing is the walls are thin and you can hear the water pipes through the walls. So I would suggest a room on the third floor. Other than that it was way above my expectations!

It was obvious that this management team has instilled a sense of pride of service throughout its entire team. From check-in, to the complimentary snacks, beautiful rooms and views with AMAZINGLY comfortable beds, meals (excellent breakfast buffet), and throughout every detail of our short stay, we just marveled at the level of service. Thank you for making our stay a wonderful one and adding to a perfect 25th anniversary trip 😍

We can’t wait to visit again.They also have a great wine and cheese hour and their breakfast is delicious. We really liked getting to eat breakfast out on the atrium.

From the beautiful staff such as Jody, Joshua, GG, the chefs, and everyone else who plays such a significant part in keeping Acqua beautiful. They raised my expectations on hotel experiences. I was there for a work reconvene from July 5-8 and I’m glad I made the trip to San Fran! From having and mailing my postcards which my young old soul deeply appreciated and needed, to fruit, cheese, crackers, and really good wine starting at 5, oh and did I mention fresh warm baked cookies NIGHTLY. I felt appreciated. I felt seen. The views that Acqua gives is also breathtaking. No pool, however they do have bicycles on the premise which is highly appreciated. And it’s free! Though I love swimming, something about riding my bike through the valley felt, you guessed it, amazing ☺️. Acqua is a thoughtful hotel and one where anyone would love to be. I’m planning my next visit as I type. Hotels should use Acqua as the prototype because truly, it’s in a class all by itself. Thank you for the warmness, kindness, and good feeling that you gave Acqua, it will be cherished.If you’re looking for a hotel that feels like family, go to Acqua. My room was cozy and very clean. The free breakfast was DELICIOUS. And for you coffee drinkers, they had fresh hot or cold made to order every morning for FREE. There’s nothing like Acqua. They’re so intentional.
