This place is so good. We were nervous when we pulled up to the gas station, but decided the reviews were so good we had to try. We sat outside and it was absolutely delicious food. We did the mini tacos, burritos, and a combo. Everyone was so happy with their food. The salsa is amazing.

This place is incredible. The pollo asado burrito is my favorite … it’s so juicy and flavorful. The guac is delicious as well. Don’t let the gas station location deter you! It’s one of the best hidden gems.

Saw this place as a poplar place on Google. Next to a gas station. Which I dont mind but if you are next to a gas station food should be fire. Ordered their $11 torta expecting it to better than Mexico bakerys torta in San Jose. Basically paid for bread and lettuce. There was little small slivers of carne asada. Looks like they probably use the same asada amount for a small taco. No flavor and was a total bust. The $5 quesabirria didnt have much flavor either. The green salsa is pretty good. Side order fries did not have any salt. Overall, this little spot lacks flavor and is overpriced for the food that they are putting out.

The restaurant was kind enough to make a special vegeterian bean and rice taco upon request when one of us did not eat meat. They have indoor seating for about 6-7 people.The restaurant did everything well. The service was good, ingredients were good quality. They provide tasty salsa on the side. Just that the flavor of the meat tacos (Pollo asado, cabeza) didnt match my expectations. Could have been tastier/flavorful. Hence a 3*.

OMG Best Burrito! I have tried the fish and carne asada burritos and they both were amazing! I almost dont want to tell anyone about this place. The food is so fresh and quality ingredients, you can tell, and the flavor is amazing. The tortillas are wow.

Did I expect to have a bowl of birria while filling up my gas tank? No. But hey thats how a free man rolls. Got the 32 ounce consome plus the fixings and tortillas plus birria taco and a Jamaica with tip 20 bucks. Come on fellas. Cant go wrong. Delicious and way more than I could finish so I took the rest and screw it, headed to the beach.

My first visit here. Very clean and friendly. The birriera taco came with a roasted jalapenos and onions, the meat was nicely prepared and seasoned, and was delicious. I also tried an enchilada (Im always on the lookout for good enchiladas)—it was OK, but uninspired. Super nachos were about what you get anywhere. Salsas were tasty. This place is out of my way but Im definitely coming back for more birriera tacos!

Found this place by lucky chance. My other favorite Mexican food is Stars and Stripes off of Miramar rd, another gas station spot. Agave Birrieria now has a special place in my ❤️. I crave their quesa birria any time Im in the area.

Ownership is said to keeps tips which are intended for the workers. Disgraceful behavior and as such Ill never go again.Apparently this is very common for ownership/mgt of restaurants to steal tips which unsuspecting patrons naturally assume are going to the workers. ALWAYS ASK STAFF WHETHER TIPS GO TO THE WORKERS OR IF THEY LINE THE POCKETS OF OWNERSHIP/MGT. NEVER PATRONIZE THE CONS WHO DO THIS.STOP THE TIPPING SCAM.

I have eaten here twice now. Loved the potato rolled tacos the first time. The second time I went for the Carnitas burrito..Both were very good. I only gave 4 stars on atmosphere since it is a taco shop, but I must say if your going to eat there outside in the bench seating area, it is a probably one of the nicest Taco shops...so maybe it should get a 5 ⭐...you let me know..

Its semi hard to find Birria tacos around North County without driving around, but this place if your in Encinitas Luecadia area is fire! I got the Birria tacos and Queso Birria. Both so bomb! The hot sauce variety also great. Move over City Tacos or Taco Stand, this is the new gem.

Got a birria taco and 1/2 order of the birria fries. The birria was flavorful and the large variety of salsas were excellent. Portion sizes are reasonable, but not excessive. I thought the fries couldve been crunchier but I did take them togo and eat a little later. Staff was super friendly and location is very clean. Will be back to try a burrito.

I stopped by the Chevron attached to this place and decided to order a snack from here. I ended up getting their Nacho Supreme which I’m happy to state was a great decision. This was one of the best Nacho Supreme meals that I’ve ever had. It had meat, vegetables, cheese and of course chips. I ended up almost fulfilling each food group with this choice as well.🥰 I will definitely be stopping by this restaurant in the future. Thank you for the delicious food and friendly service.

Reading reviews for this place I was very excited to try but ultimately left extremely disappointed. The prices are double what they show on here ~$4 for a taco that is sub par at best. The birria taco lacked everything in terms of flavor and was dry (must drench in consume to be edible), ordered a pastor taco but received a pollo asado on two stale dry corn tortillas and lastly got a birria burrito which consisted of the dry birria and rice. The only saving grace for any of this was the salsa. Birria 664 in barrio logan or craft and coast in oceanside are far better.

Brand new and open for business...best tacos I’ve had in Southern Cali so far. After going back 5 days straight I had to take a break. Better priced than most locations, home cooked servings and load each taco with all the good stuff. They have a standing bar for people that can’t wait to get to their car, or their home, to slam your food without even sitting down.Perfect location right off the 5, it’ll be a matter of time before everyone knows their name and they have awards hanging on the walls. Do you like the rich meaty flavor of beef stew? If yes, youll love this place. The Birria tacos are delicious. Cabeza its also fantastic. The only criticism I can offer is that the menu is out of balance. No real salad or vegetable options. Expect meaty meat dipped in more meaty flavors.

Wow. Absolutely delicious food. The quesa birriera is 100% the best taco I’ve ever had in San Diego. I am honestly speechless that such a crazy good taco is just low key adjacent to a gas station. Their breakfast burritos also blew me away, which is difficult imo because all breakfast burritos are more or less identical. But they just take better care of every single ingredient then any other burrito I’ve had. The bacon is ACTUALLY crispy, the hash browns are crispy, the eggs aren’t scorched(this is super common for sub par burritos), and it’s smothered in crema which is reminiscent of a California burrito. I’m ashamed to admit how many times I’ve gone to this place considering they literally opened a few weeks ago.

Really nice and clean new spot in Leucadia. Finally went into check them out today. Got Carne Asada tacos and they are loaded for $2.20 each. The Birria is very bland, absolutely no heat whatsoever. I guess if you don’t really know what Birria is, this is half decent… but it is far from good - very far.Their sizes are also incorrect. The 32 ounce is only 24 at most. I would have to assume the 24 ounce then is much smaller.This is no Birrieria.
