This is a nice little corner in Laguna, their setting was absolutely stunning. Loved the ambiance, and the food? I have to say I am all for healthy/deliciousness and this place did not disappoint . To me everything tasted organic and fresh! Freshly seasoned! Their oat coffee tasted amazing as well! One thing I loved was that they looked like they were plastic free!Definitely will come back!
If youre looking for a dining experience thats as good as it gets, AhbA restaurant is the place to be. My partner and I stopped by for a weekend afternoon bite between 2-5pm and I was blown away by everything this place had to offer.First off, the ambience was top-notch. The hip-hop classics that played in the background were the perfect accompaniment to the breezy ocean air, creating an atmosphere that was both relaxed and energizing. And the kitchen staff were an absolute delight to watch - they were clean, attentive, and clearly took great pride in their work.But the real star of the show was the service. The staff were kind, attentive, polite, and prompt, making me feel welcome from the moment I walked in the door. They were happy to answer any questions I had and were genuinely interested in making sure I had the best possible dining experience.And then there was the food. Let me tell you, this was some of the best food Ive had in a long time. The cheeseburger was made with wagyu beef and it was absolutely divine - juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The little gem caesar salad was equally impressive, with a satisfying crunch and a dressing that was full of umami flavor. And the carrot cake was a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, with just the right amount of cream cheese frosting.The only thing that could have been improved was the whipped feta, which was savory and delicious but could have used more bread so we didn’t have so much left over! We bought some more bread to finish it up as we couldn’t store it post-meal, and we were really full by the end of it all.Overall, I cannot recommend AhbA restaurant highly enough. From the ambience to the service to the food, everything about this place is top-notch. If youre looking for a dining experience that will leave you feeling delighted and satisfied, this is the place to be.
This place is where the locals eat and it’s easy to see why. Such a great spot to pass some time, share a table and eat some great food. I had the 🍔 with the perfect topping of caramelized onions! And perfectly cooked and seasoned fries with the Spicy Margarita rimmed with tahini salt-yum yum.Come enjoy a lovely bite. Open air, dog friendly.
Two of us stopped in for a sip and nibble in the late afternoon only to grow to 5 people, chat up some of the other tables, and end up shutting the place down. Nick, Brian, Sam and another kind staffer went out of their way to make our evening enjoyable. The food and drinks were outstanding and the ambiance on point. The clientele are an interesting mix of tourists and locals. It’s a definite “go to” place when you’re in Laguna Beach.

Hands down most fun, delicious, and unique restaurant in Laguna. The family style share plates are absolutely amazing, the drinks are delicious, and the staff make your experience top notch (shout out to Denise!!). Everything is such good value and made with high quality ingredients and thoughtful, creative flavors.

Possibly one of the most overrated restaurants in OC. Everything is fried and greasy, or you can get a salad, yay. Or how about a tiny piece of low grade meat cooked on a grill that looks like it would be more appropriate in a food truck. And dont even get me started on the people, like a hurley catalogue vomited onto the sidewalk. I do appreciate the laugh every time I drive by.Ordered take out, they gave me a chicken sandwich with no chicken inside, which I discovered when I got home. When I went all the way back they tried to just give me a piece chicken to put in the now soggy bun. Only after I refused did they make me a new one. Nothing else was offered and I dont think I remember an apology, they were too busy to care.

The worst food poisoning I have gotten in my life. I have gone many times and the last time I went I ate a burger something felt off and I threw up for 24 hours... do not eat here. I reached out to the restaurant to get a refund and warn them of the food poisoning and did not get a reply. Sadly now I tell everyone not to eat here anymore.

We love AhbA so much were weekly visitors, yes even in the midst of the pandemic. Im hooked on the Shashuka and my husband is crazy for the burger. Warning! The thinly cut fries are addictively delicious.

Great atmosphere. The drinks there next door are amazing. The food all together was pretty good, although I wish the salsa was a bit more spicy and the beans were a bit bland. We went for taco Tuesday for 3 dollar tacos which were p good.
It was a chilly Saturday evening when we arrived and got into line to order our food. The menu is simple, but it was still difficult to choose what we wanted because there is a great variety of interesting dishes available. We shared a Caesar salad and the macaroni and cheese for starters. I got the filet and my partner got the cheeseburger. Both were amazing. The carrot cake is the only dessert offered, and it is obvious why. It satisfied every single dessert expectation and one serving was plenty for 2 people. We will definitely be back to try the brunch. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but we got lucky and it isn’t as bad as parking near Main Street in LB.
Went there to grab breakfast. Okay atmosphere, food was pretty good, super oily however. They don’t have an espresso machine so was kinda disappointed there. Overall it was an alright experience.
Stopped here for brunch and got the burrito and an aperol spritz. Amazing food, amazing drinks, and even more amazing atmosphere! Laguna beach is my favorite place and it’s because of little unique places like these ❤️

This review has been long overdue. I freaking love this place! It’s one of the hotspots of South Laguna and basically my second home. The vibe, music, team & food is always insane. Their beet salad and roasted cauliflower is to die for. Oh, and Ahba’s fries are legendary. I usually skip them everywhere else but almost a must to try them here. I also love how dog friendly they are, I always bring my pup. Thanks for enriching our hood 🤍

Unfortunately, I had a poor experience here last week. It was probably accounted for by the fact it was incredibly busy, but the service was disappointing. Its order at the counter with self-seating. All the tables in the main area were taken, and staff were trying to hand us our plates before we even had a place to sit (We were a party of four). We eventually learned there was a back patio/speakeasy in the adjacent building after wandering for a bit. I sat on a rusty patio chair that was partially aesthetic but made me feel icky. Fortunately, the food is very tasty! But the downside is that the portion sizes are very small. Our food all came out at different times, with my meal coming out around 40 minutes after we ordered.I think this restaurant is ideal for parties of two or three max, who can order a variety of different plates. I dont recommend for larger groups who are exceptionally hungry, who arent able able to order several plates per a person.

Food is fantastic and service was very fast + friendly. Lebanese / Moroccan (??? and more) influence add just the right flavor and spice to the tapas style dishes. Great spot to share plates, enjoy the laid back vibe and upbeat tunes (a tad loud for conversation). Recommend carrots with labneh, broccolini with honey vinaigrette, cauliflower with tahini & dukkah and half chicken with harissa chimichurri sauce.
The delicious food, incredible service, and cozy ambience are all truly top notch at AhbA! Though wed heard rave reviews about their famous burger, we went for a classic caesar salad and innovative harissa toast -- both were super fresh, perfectly sized, uniquely local, and truly tasty! The owner and waitstaff were all very friendly and attentive -- its a gem of a spot in the community. A must visit establishment for locals and travelers alike!

Disappointing at best - no decaf coffee - ordered the eggs Benedict dish & it had a smattering of hollandaise - nothing like the picture on the website - had to ask for more - I don’t get to eat like this often, so not great. The French toast was good & solid portion. Atmosphere was quaint - went back to Plumeria in Laguna Niguel for great food at a great price - wouldn’t return here

Great food and ambiance but super disappointed by the service - we were with two non-drinkers, and when we asked for a non-alcoholic option, we were told we can stick with water. The ginger beer was being saved for the mules (????) and there were no other options. Ridiculous.

Ahba was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I were looking for a new place for date night and this place wowed us. Since take out is the only option right now because of COVID the food really stood out to us. We had a wee glimpse at the ambience of the eatery and it looked cozy and warm just like our home dining room which makes me eager to come back when restaurants open up again in 2021. Takeout from Ahba really exceeded our expectations. The dinner menu is limited BUT this means there is not reason not to try every single dish on the menu. Which we did. And let me say, as we ate every dish we just struggled to find which dish was our favorite. Our first try was the harissa half chicken and it was succulent and bursting with fresh vibrant flavor. Next was the whipped feta which was like a pot of heaven in my opinion, the feta was rich and light with the perfect pairing of fresh herbs, olive oil and jammy tomatoes and oh the bread oh the bread!!!! On to the burger, seriously the softest bun with crisp edges you dream of, two perfectly patties topped with ooey gooey cheese, grilled onions for days and little spicy cherry peppers, heaven! The pickled veggies were a delightful little treat as well. And well I could go on and on, the point this place is must try.

What a fantastic spot and find. Hidden away right on the Pacific Coast Highway, Ahba features a small, but powerful cast of dishes. The burnt broccolini is crispy and flavorful in all the right places. The asparagus leaves you with a satisfying and delicious crunch. Cap it off with the coup de gras of sweet potatoes and you’re in for a fantastic start to your night.The quesadilla comes with a wide variety of sauces and dips. At $5 it’s great bang for your buck - if it seems like you can’t go wrong with your order it’s because you can’t.The branzino was full of flavor and delicious as well, and this is coming from someone who is typically pretty fish averse. The only issue was that there were bones.5 star customer service and restaurant. Highly recommend

Just fabulous. Went for breakfast. The cauliflower dish with eggs was interesting, and sooooo delicious. Wine list is perfectly curated and the rose went perfectly with our meal. We will be back.
The food is amazing, I have had the ribeye for sure my favorite. But they run out of things randomly like fries. However I still recommend them.

From the tomato sweet shakshuka to the well balanced lebneh toast, fresh OJ to simple vinaigrette salad, and sweet potatoes with onion puree to creamy hummus, all the dishes were vibrant and flavorful. The minor growing pains evident in the service should not deter any newcomers. A kind smile and eagerness suggests these issues will be shortlived. Ahbas brave introduction of mostly uncommon morning dishes should not go unrewarded. This South Laguna newcomer should be on everyones list.

2023-11-03 13:46:20Their smash burger is no longer a smash burger and just some regular patties. They used to “smash” their patties and it had crispy edges like a smash burger should have.Idk what happened but for the past couple months they no longer smash their patties on the burger anymore and it resembles the taste of a McDonald’s cheeseburger now.My recommendation would be to speak with the chef and start having him flatten and smash the patties for that crispy crust everyone used to love with your burgers!

My lady had the burger and fries from the afternoon menu (I waited for the dinner options).Her fries were great at least and the burger my lady had looked good.The Japanese sweet potato, the sprouts, the broccoli, the cauliflower… all together the amount of oil in these dishes would’ve inspired the U.S army to invade them. The Japanese potato was served in an inch high pool of oil. The fries I had in the dinner portion… pretty oily. The cauliflower was spiced well, but didn’t do it for me. Again, pretty oily. And the sprouts… same story. And all for $75.Sadly, my stomach felt sickly from the oils and I couldn’t finish the food. These were small plates minus the cauliflower. I’m a large guy so this isn’t usually an issue.The server was lovely though and the people working there were consistently nice.Music was decent, 80s / 90s mix though I did feel I was in Echo Park with the vibe, and the bathroom was gross and tucked away in a bar next door.Overall I won’t return. If you order and want to go easy on oil, tell them ahead of time. The dishes might’ve been more edible if I knew this and could flag it shared of time, not that this should be a thing. Just know if you’re going and you dislike lots of oil, ask them to ease up on it.Also, vegans have limited options before dinner / after breakfast hours.
