2023-12-01 23:53:29From the moment we sat down, we had such a wonderful experience here. We were not expecting much considering it was at a strip mall but the atmosphere was super welcoming. We sat the bar and had a lovely time interacting with our sushi chef! The service was fantastic! They were very attentive. Lastly, the sushi was super delicious. They actually use really wasabi instead of the fake one you see at other restaurants. Sushi was fresh and beautifully displayed. It was on the pricier side but considering the great food and service, it was definitely worth it! Would love to visit again next time I’m in California!

2022-07-23 04:56:54Nice restaurant overall!Party of two, on a Friday evening, around 6:30 pm. The restaurant was not too crowded, no waiting to be seated, and plenty of parking.Choice of table seating or bar seating. They also do take out.Our waitress, Viví was really cool. She was friendly, funny, kind, and helpful. Excellent recommendations.Good restaurant for a family, couples, or solo! Noise is average. Restaurant is clean, neat, and well organized!Worth checkout!

2023-02-04 07:11:17We went here on Monday night and the place is not too crowded. Our waitress was very attentive and we are pretty satisfied with the service. The food is reasonably priced (for a Japanese restaurant) and tasted great. We ordered bento box dinner. The salad was pretty good too. I cant wait to try their other dishes next time. The restaurant is not too hard to find and during dinner it has dim lighting but the atmosphere is pretty chill.

2022-03-13 08:21:593/5 (Saturday), that day is so cold due to the wind and close to the water. It was a perfect day to go have hot pot, but the wait is a little long since we have a party of 9. We are starving and cant wait, we left and went a few doors down and ended up here. We got seated right away. Overall, the food is good and fresh. The service is okay, we have to ask for refill tea a few times and they also forgot one of the orders.Place a small place and tables close to each other.Price is reasonableWe ordered many dishes, but I did not try half of it and too hungry to take all the pictures of foodsMy favorite yellowtail collar shioyakiBaked salmon roll - its good I recommended for non raw eaterSalmon belly sashimiSalmon Avocado Carpaccio - I like this a lotSexy Salmon Roll (Salmon Sashimi on Spicy Tuna Roll, Pickle Wasabi, Red and Green Tobiko, Ponzu Sauce) - Pictures look good but I was not aware it has spicy tuna. I am not a fan of tuna or spicy tuna. Others like this roll.I will go back if I am close by. I want to try Avocado Volcano (Baked crab & Scallop on 1/2 shell Avocado)

2023-07-23 06:13:44Went on a family vacation and wanted to try some sushi. Boy, this place was amazing, a hidden gem for sure!!!! My kids usually ate the California rolls in our hometown. We had about 4 rolls of fresh and tempura types, and my kids actually ate all of them!!! The kastu chicken was delicious. My favorite is definitely the pork belly!!! The waitresses were super sweet and gave my kids learning chopsticks. My son was practicing on everything. Really enjoyed our time. We will definitely come back next time we pass thur town!

2019-06-14 01:33:36This is my favorite place to get sushi in Lake Forest. I ordered the sashimi plate (I think 10 piece?) plus two of the tuna belly. It was all very fresh, and nicely presented. It may be one of the best sashimi plates I have gotten in the USA. Service is a tiny bit slow but the entire place has a relaxed atmosphere. My husband got Udon with chicken, it was so big he couldnt finish it, but I think it would make a great item to share between two or more people. This is definitely a surprise for the area which can be hard to find good food in.It is kind of tucked away in a shopping center, the parking lot is not on a main street but it is easy enough to find and I feel that parking is usually not a problem.I would go here again. Probably wouldnt bring my kids but I think there are enough options that they would enjoy if I decided to take them here.

2018-03-28 01:53:52My new go to sushi restaurant for South OC. No set omakase menu, so the chef dishes up whatever he feels like. Thats how it should be in my opinion. The fish is very high quality and reasonably priced. I could tell that everyone at the bar were regulars, and they just added two more to that list.

2023-06-17 02:57:36If youre a white person with mediocre taste in Japanese cuisine, this is the place for you. The sushi is not only made with poor craftsmanship, but with smallest morsels of fish Ive ever seen. The non-sushi items were akin to buying a cheap microwave meal at the grocery store (the latter being arguably better). The menu is cluttered and features around 5 different types of sushi that they serve (most of which served with cucumber chunks instead of rice, disgusting). Customer service is severely lacking, as there are only two waiters running around trying to remember everyones orders while leaving tables and seats tacky and sticky (again, disgusting). As if a restaurant could get any worse, Ahi Ahi also manages to steal your money by overcharging you for the miniscule serving sizes of their dishes.I recommend this place to people with no taste receptors or people who want to waste as much money as possible and still feel hungry.

2021-10-10 15:12:45We loved it! Great sushi and customer service. Their rolls are very heavy on the spicy tuna which we dont like so I got a bunch of individual pieces and they were great.
