Ahi Sushi Bar & Grill in Lake Elsinore

Decent sushi place that just opened up. Got the Baked salmon roll, Tiger roll, and some fried calamari. Calamari had a good kick to it! Tiger roll was good but needed some spicy mayo. Baked salmon was good as well. Place is a bit small; you might have to wait if dining in since theres only a handful of booths. But the staff were very hospitable. Price was the only thing I was iffy about. For the same price you can go to Sapporo sushi, which I think is better.

Food is tasty and so fresh. They would blow up if they had AYCE but since they don’t lunch specials will have to do. Keep in mind, there’s one sushi chef it looks like and they do a first come first serve.The first time I went, there was a party of about 10 people. They got all their food first and then I was next. Well that took about an hour. Luckily they sent out some egg rolls on the house to control my kids who were getting too hungry! But when the food finally arrived it was delicious!Two days later I went again and there was a party of two and us, party of 3. Again, I know they’re just starting off but I think they should even out in bringing food out to the tables. They fully served them first, drinks appetizers and meals and then we were next. Took about 40 mins. This was the first week they opened.Overall food is good.Service is being worked on (I hope)Atmosphere is clean and pretty.

2 stars because sushi was good. Service was the worst experience ever. There was only one table and a few people at the sushi bar when we arrived. We sat and ordered and probably 4 more tables sat after we ordered and they all ordered and got there food before us. 45 mins to an hour later we had to ask if they started our order yet, the sushi chef and waitress said they lost our ticket and they would start making it. Well another 15 20 mins go buy we get our food. Got the 36 pc sushi that came with 28 pieces. Asked for the rest and the waitress and chef said thats all it comes with so they counted we only had 28 pieces and the waitress tells the chef but the chef still insist thats all we get with the order. Then they forget to make the mexican roll. When we ordered a sprite when we got there the waitress said they dont have sprite but we see other tables afterwards got a sprite. We got our sushi no one comes back and we have to get back up and ask for plates. I really was hoping this place was going to be good.

I really wanted to like this place, but the sushi had a weird temperature. I got raw sushi and its usually my favorite, but here the fish was lukewarm. Also left a slimy coating in my mouth. It was hard to swallow because of the texture and temperature. Staff was really nice though and the restaurant was clean. There is an unfortunate deep fryer smell in the air. It smells like they have been using the same oil for too long. I did have a deep fried dish and it left me with the same feeling. The oil needs to be drained from dish and fryer oil needs to be changed. Really disappointed, especially because the prices are really high. I would love to give it another chance since they just opened. But I will probably wait a long time before returning.

Lemon salmon roll and Sunshine roll, both very good!! Hard to choose which roll was better, didn’t disappoint :)

I went there with a friend today for lunch. It was completely dead but we wanted to try this place since it opened and saw the reviews. It was a complete disappointment! We wished we hadnt gone. We ordered 2 bento boxes so we can try a variety of items. It started with a salad with 2 small pieces of lettuce, literally. Then a bowl of miso soup that was tasteless and cold. 1st bento box was ponzu salmon, which was overcooked and dried. 2nd bento box was pork katsu. That was even more sad! It looked and tasted bad. It was pork jerky deep fried. I have never had pork katsu fried as a whole, then refried after it is cut up. Each piece was super dried and crusty (not the good kind). It was maybe frozen or they just dont know how to cook. It was so bad, it was not edible. We told the waiter, they were kind enough to replace it with another piece, but that was only a bit better and barely edible. On top of that, there was no sauce whatsoever, so it was just disgusting no matter how you put it. In addition, the meals came with either Cali rolls or spicy tuna rolls. Those were dry and not fresh. Grocery store sushi rolls were better than those. The last item was tempura veggies. I think that was the most edible thing weve tried. I dont usually give terrible reviews but it was such a disappointment all around we needed to make it real. We hope this place will improve if it wants return business. As we were leaving, another table was also complaining. The service was good and they really tried to make it right. It is just not up to par. It is the worst Japanese food weve ever had. Buyers beware.

Went on the first day they opened, the food was excellent and the staff was working very hard to make sure that customers were getting taken care of as soon as possible. Went back a week later and the food is definitely top notch with excellent service. So happy to have a really good sushi place nearby. The ramen is also really good

My husband was eating next door and noticed a new sushi place. I asked him to bring me home sashimi salad and shumai. They were both very good. I am looking forward to dining there in person. Lets support this new restaurant!! Will update when I get there in person. I dont know of any other restaurants in the area with Ramen. They have various flavors and toppings to choose from. It will be great as it gets colder!!!

Fresh sushi, a lot of options, and the servers were adorable. Great service and experience.
