AhiSushi Hibachi in Redwood City

Good food and staff.Everything about the food here and the staff was really nice. Our server was helpful and not overbearing with some charisma, and the food was as good as or better than pretty much any other sushi place we would go to.The location can feel more like... cheap glamour. Its a little raggedy outside, and while thats not their fault, it does paint some of the picture there. Parking can be tough depending on the hour and you may walk from over towards downtown Redwood City. And lastly, the interior feels... like its made from balsa and leftover diner furniture... and the trademark diner carpet thats easy to vacuum with one of those manual vacuum cleaners, you know what I mean? Its clean, let there be no doubt, but it feels... from the early 2000s with just a nicer TV.All in all, this place was great. If they get rid of that tacky awning out front and spiff up their furniture a bit, they could have a real good thing going as Redwood City continues to grow up.

The staff here are cordial and attentive. And the portions are huge for how much we are used to paying in SF!! When we went only two tables were taken in the large space so it was quiet. What they lack in some food authenticity they make up for in a quiet and friendly atmosphere. Very family friendly especially for a Saturday lunch. We got a couple rolls, karaage and the sushi -sashimi combo... which I could not finish because the sashimi pieces were very big (forgot to take a pic).

Delicious chicken and shrimp hibachi. The rainbow roll was huge and fantastic! I had it all delivered by UberEats and delivery was fast! Im in from out of town and want sure what to order, glad I chose Ahi Sushi... Prices were a little higher than expected, but the quality left me feeling like I wasnt cheated. Would definitely order again!

Super tasty sushi, good prices, and amazing service. Was served by Frank, and he is so nice! He is knowledgeable about the menu and had great suggestions.

Sushi was fresh but pretty white washed (lots of imitation crab). Wait staff was great. Parking is a pain and the place is noisy and lacks ambiance. Not the best date night but a great place to go with kids due to the hibachi aspect (so you can get fancy sushi and the kids can get tasty grilled whatever). Prices are standard for this type of place. Id go again for quick, decent but not amazing sushi.

My son wanted to try something new for his birthday and not only have we found a new delicious treat, the staff was so sweet!I They brought ice cream, sang happy birthday, and even gave him a picture to remember the evening. They really care about their guests

Exceptional service! Huge cutes of fish! Better deal than Ive found in other areas so far! Cant wait to make this my regular spot for sashimi!

Best sushi I have had in a while, everything was fresh and had good-sized portions.

The food was good, although the fried rice was a bit more oily than I would have liked. Also, the vegetables were just grilled zucchini and onions, and their presentation was underwhelming.

Very disappointed, I order takeout trough Uber eats and they send half of my order. When I reported I’m Uber eats they just repay for one meal but I still had to pay for taxes, shipping and taxes like my order was complete. Also, the one roll I got wasn’t very good. Very bad cut.
