2023-10-08 00:10:44I like this place in general. The food is good and affordable. The restaurant looks clean, plenty of parking. The reason that I am giving three stars for service is because one of the waitresses lacks customer service skills, When I talked to her, I clearly saw that she did not want to help me at all.The last time that I was at Aji was on October 6th, 2023.She came by and dropped my entree on my table and walked away right away. Minutes later, I asked her for a water refill; she gave me a not friendly look, walked away, and never came back to refill my glass of water. As I was eating, I noticed that she did offer water to other customers, I also saw that she was giving other customers a cup of soup with their entree. I did not get a cup of soup, nor did she offer it to me.I had to ask another waitress for help. She brought over a cup of soup and refilled my glass of water. The previous waitress has a horrible attitude, a bad temper, and lacks communication and customer service skills. She is the only negative comment regarding Aji.

2023-07-01 19:08:58I found this place a couple of years ago, and it has become a favorite in my area. It is authentic Peruvian food, cooked just right. My favorite is the Lomo Saltado, and my wife enjoys the Saltado de Pollo. Great service by all employees & the owner himself (Carlos). Every bite is so flavorful!

2022-12-28 03:52:45I live in the Bay Area and I came to this restaurant by chance since it was close to our hotel and it was a delicious surprise. There is so much diversity and food competition in LA but this restaurant takes the cake as you feel like home as soon as your enter. More importantly, the food is excellent and it will definitely be one of my to-go places every time I visit. I tried Lomo Saltado, Ceviche de Pescado, Ají de Gallina, Tamales de Pollo, Pan con Chicharrón con su café con leche.

2022-06-20 00:22:41This place is much over rated.Entry has the feeling of a fast food take out place.First time here, we got in a line a family was ordering with the cashier. No one greeted us or told us what to do while just standing a couple people back.I walked up and had to stop a guy and ask what we are to do to get seated. He actually seated us right then but how long would’ve we stood there who could tell. After being seated no one greeted or asked if we wanted water or any drinks for a while. The young girl who was serving was going back and forth giving us no attention till she was finally ready to take our order. She had a real sourpuss face the whole time we were there.I don’t think she should be serving .The family at the table next to us tried and tried to get the servers attention but did not happen so the dad had to go to the cashier to order another plate for a late arrival.Happened again for napkins, had to get up and go ask for them. The food was not bad but NOT great.I’m not used to having my meats served directly on the beans, it was pretty odd.I have to say, do not come here for service nor for a nice place to eat, the hard wood chairs wears on you.Take a look at the pic of the supposedly clean spoon it didn’t look clean at all liked they slightly rinsed but it was not clean.I do not recommend this place.

2023-01-28 16:04:31I had my first Peruvian experience at Aji, I drove from Santa Ana to try this place and it was perfect! I ordered the saltado de Mariscos, it had a large amount of shrimp, fries, squid, scallops, and fish! The seasoning was so delicious not too salty. To start they fix you these small warm fresh bread rolls and the green soup! The service was quick and simple. I will be coming back 100%. The lunch specials were soo cheap for a good amount of food.

2022-04-10 22:42:03Great place for Peruvian cuisine, staff was accommodating, attentive, and server made great suggestions for meals, locations is in a plaza, great decor inside truly cultural, bread and butter served first with small chicken soup with great flavor. Pair with the bread and bit of butter to make it even more delicious. Lomo Saltado, and tallarin verde with lomo were great,👌on both dishes meat was well seasoned, flavorful, and tender. Grilled onion, and tomatoes compliment the meat with the fries or the tallrin verde. I liked the tallarin verde came with parmesan cheese. The kids and my girl loved and enjoyed the place and food... would recommend! 👍

2023-11-07 17:30:00I tried the lomo saltado. Well, the meat was dry and not juicy. They serve it over French fries instead of cut potatoes, with not much vegetables. The rice was ok, but overall it was lacking flavor. Portion was small. The atmosphere is kind of plain and boring, service is the same.
