We visited this place on our way from Yosemite. Its a small family road-by cafe. The food was delicious and very fresh. We tried shrimp tacos, enchiladas, and guacamole.The staff is also excellent!Old style interior, but very clean!

A few months ago, our family and I went camping at Lake Millerton near Fresno. When we drove back from Lake Millerton to Bay Area, my FIL wanted to take Highway 152 to cut through to Freeway 5.My husband was searching for a local Mexican restaurant for our lunch break and came across Ajua!.We were so pleased by the quality of their service and food. And if we ever find ourselves on Highway 152, we will definitely make it a priority to return to Ajua!.

I was blown away by this place!Dont be intimidated by the exterior - the back is clean, bright, and huge. We went at 5:30 and were the only customers the whole time.The plating was amazing and so pretty. My waitress was kind and attentive and everyone was wearing masks.Great price for great food! Two of us ate for under $20, with leftovers.

Food is great! Big portions, no fat pieces, burritos are a good consistency. The nachos are loaded and delicious! I do love the service here. The girls are always nice and accommodating. The inside itself is nice enough with some T.V.s and sometimes music. Wait times can be long but worth it in my eyes. The parking lot is small and tight so be ready for it because turning in and out of it can be a bit stressful at times.

Stopped by for lunch. Picked this place based on all the great reviews. We were disappointed. Staff wasnt very friendly. Husband said his burrito wasnt great. My quesadilla was just okay. Ordered a coke; it was like $3.50 for a small bottle. Everything was overpriced for the quality of the food and the inhospitable vibe. Was sorely disappointed.

LOVED this spot! The food was seriously delicious and authentic. The family that runs it really knows whats up and were so nice! I was so excited to try it that I forgot to take a picture before diving in. You see the sopes being handmade in the kitchen but you can tell they are the real deal on the first bite. We got pollo (chicken) and carne asada (steak) sopes, and i have the say the pollo is not to be missed. We also got some bean dip, a quesabirria, a fish taco (all so good!) and washed it down with a michelada which was legit, garnished with shrimp and tajin! Definitely stop in (walk through the main building - dont be phased by that) and give them a try - you wont regret it!

We tried shrimp and fish ceviche and they were both so good! My daughters got fish tacos and they loved them. Dont let the outside fool you because the restaurant is so big inside the building. Staff is super friendly and very helpful deciding what to try! Will be back as soon as we can!

Traveling through LosBanos today, we stopped here for dinner. The barbacoa had that fantastic smoky & delicious flavors. The chili rellano was one of the best. Very good meals coupled with friendly staff & a very clean restaurant, we will be back next time we roll through on 152.

Very attentive and helpful. Salsa and chips were fire. We liked the rice beans were a little runny and I didnt care for the chicken Enchiladas. I had both green and red. Not a fan of the sauce. Very clean

Wow, we couldnt find it at first (located in the tax building) but we are so glad we called and figured it out. The salsa was delicious and a tad spicy. Yum... everything we had was so good!!! Carne tacos, fish tacos, bean burrito and even their fries!! This will be a must stop when we are in the Los Banos area!!! Also... reasonable prices too!! Eat here, you will not regret it!

Prices are great for the amount of food you get! We ordered a bean/cheese burrito it was huge. And then the red enchiladas chicken which was also massive! Tacos were ordered and delicious everything was fresh and large portions! Definitely check them out

Food is delicious! Great borrow and broth flavor . The quesabirrias are HUGE and so delicious! Hand made tortillas and they have wonderful older Mexican women working the kitchen, so you know youre getting that authentic taste.

Tried this place in May 2020. From the outside,the place looks small,but inside its alot larger. Food tastes different than the regular places in Los Banos. It was refreshing to taste something different. I ordered enchiladas to go. The food look very appetizing and was very delicious. I definitely will return as a regular customer.

Closest authentic Mexican food in town. You wont be disappointed. Been looking for something tasty since we are used to San Jose variety of options. And this place is closest to home. Im happy I took that chance. I will definitely come back no doubt.

The food was amazing! Coming from Los Angeles to San Jose we stopped by to eat at Los Banos and omg! Best decision ever!! This food is a replica of my moms cooking back in Mexico! Thank you guys so much! Super sweet and friendly. Family oriented definitely. Did I mention the price is so affordable and really big portions! They’re really fast at serving so you don’t have to wait as much and omg I love the silver wear and plate dishes style. Really organized and definitely tasty!! Omg I can’t express how good this place is!! Go meet these guys, you’ll definitely feel welcome! Definitely a Mexican authentic taste!! Thank you again Ajua! Restaurant! I’ll see you soon 😄

Decent little spot actually on the more authentic side of things which is really nice. Unfortunately they share the building with a nail salon and the whole place smells like the inside of a diesel container so I wouldnt recommend trying to eat there. I shudder to think of their brain cells. Maybe they should try closing the door.

It’s kinda hard to figure out where this place is, and the parking is tight but this is a gem. We can’t stop talking about. Super friendly staff with delicious, TRUELY authentic homemade food. The Next time I know I’ll be in Los banos I’ll be looking forward to coming back.

Incredible experience, the potato flauntas are so good! Portion sizes are excellent, especially for the prices. The service was even better than the food. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you need to - you’ll be a regular at first bite!

Amazing service she was so sweet! The food is really good I got 3 Sopes and they were all good but if you like more cream you should ask for extra. I ordered 6 and the total was cheap! Definitely recommend if you like mexican food!!

Staff was very friendly and it was nice to be able to watch the women prepare our order. They took such care in chopping many of the fresh ingredients and hand making the tortillas. The ceviche was excellent as was the fish taco. Generous servings at a very reasonable price. The packaging for our to-go order was over the top with Ajua! stickers and hand written notes indicating contents of each box along with a 😊. Tough times for restaurants during this pandemic but I truly hope Ajua! makes it. I will definitely stop here on my way through Los Banos.
