Went here with a friend. Some of the best sushi and fish Ive ever had in my life. Tried several things and everything was exquisite. I dont think theres a bad thing on the menu.The ceviche was amazing. Great depth and texture. The parmesan roll was incredible. Ive never had anything with that flavor profile in my life. Chutoro maki was out of this world. Yucca frita was a treat. Tiger scallops were amazing.Go here.

Really delicious and different! Some of the best sushi we have ever had and all of the flavors were so different! We tried almost all of their specialty rolls, the pulpo and yucca fries. We cant wait to go back and the chef did such a great job of explaining everything and making future recommendations! 👏

We went to Akashiro tonight and loved it!!!!Exceptional food, wonderful and amazing caring owners! This is as legit as it gets. All three owners are Japanese Peruvians who really know their craft!!! Highly recommend!

Friends recommended this place and I gotta say: if you havent been there yet youre missing out big time.The quality of the fish cant be compared to those sushi places around, it literally melts in your mouth, uni was amazingly fresh and not overwhelmingly strong nor fishy, their ceviche must be the best Ive tried, their tiraditos had such a combination of flavors and ingredients that leaves you wanting more.Service was top notch and ambiance was really warm and welcoming, will definitely be back to try everything Im still missing in the menu.

The service was extremely friendly, and the expanding towels to clean our hands was a nice touch. We tried a variety of the speciality rolls. They were all so unique and delicious. Definitely returning to try the rest of the menu!

What a cool spot! You can get sushi here, and also try the Nikkei specialties which offer a nice Peruvian-Japanese experience. The lucuma soufflé is yummy too.

A triple threat! Definitely a gem in the heart of Fullerton and short drive from Disneyland and Knott’s. Fish is really fresh and the flavors paired really well.

We tried Akashiro last night for the first time! Without a doubt, some of the best tasting sushi weve ever had. The service and food were next level. We are lucky to have this gem in downtown Fullerton.

Dont let the fusion fool you, this place really takes quality and the experience to a great level. Enjoyed every dish and thought process to what was presented. Yes its more expensive but you are paying for quality and creativeness from all the chefs in the front of house. Definitely recommend.

This place was absolutely amazing. A delicious new take on sushi that you don’t even realize the twist, just the amazing taste. The staff was genuine, the decor simple yet elegant. Love the ingredients they use, fresh and unique. Love that they don’t use that nasty imitation krab meat in any of there roles. Do yourself, your taste buds, and your date a favor and go eat at this restaurant. Dishes we had that were all out of this world: pulpo olivo, blue nikkei nigiri, striped bass nikkei nigiri, Parmesan roll, parri roll, and chutoro roll, and the yukka fries.

Called at 5:10pm to ask about the wait. The receptionist told us that there was no wait for two people.We showed up 15 minutes later to discover that there was now a 30 minute wait and we needed a reservation to be seated despite the fact that multiple tables were empty.Definitely unfortunate as we would have loved to try this place. FOH needs to do a better job at communicating with prospective customers and time management.

Food was absolutely phenomenal. In particular the Parmesan Scallops and the Parri specialty roll rank very highly on the list of the best things I have ever eaten!

This visit to Akashiro was a soft opening, and I will have to make a return visit. Food was top-notch, very exceptional, and I must say the flavors this evening were at a gourmet level. The service side was a little confused with the servers, but it should get better with the adjustments in staff . The atmosphere at this establishment will set your evening or mood in a positive light and give the meal a chance to really allow yourself to enjoy the moment and flavors of this meal . Enjoy

Welcome to Fullerton, Akashiro will be a huge success in Downtown Fullerton. The concept of combining Peruvian and Japanese cuisine is genius. Image Sushi and Ceviches in the same menu 🤯 . Cant wait to see what Akashiro will bring out to our tables.
