Food was great and the staff was wonderful! Tang was amazing and she took such great care of us. We had a large group for daughter-in-laws birthday and they made it so special, along with a delicious birthday cake and song.

Fantastic, unlimited food! One of my favorite shabu shabu places, and with great quality dishes and a fun atmosphere, this place is definitely worth the all-you-can-eat price. Also, shoutout to the amazing employee who found our lost debit card from the last time we were there!

Was craving meat and rolls, and this basically provided both!The fact they had unlimited American Wagyu and lamb also sealed the deal.The sukiyaki broth was just right, not too salty nor too sweet.They had really good choices for vegetables, noodles, etc.The appetizers were really nice to have in between meat orders.And they give strawberry ice cream as a finisher.

I was in Aki Shabu so many times and always I am very happy with food and service. The owner is amazing woman who taking care of her business very good! I am recommending this place to all my friends and coming with my friend to enjoying our time! Thank you!

The place itself is beautiful and clean. Im going to start with the food: the base soup I got (creamy spicy soup) was blant in spices and condiments. I had to improvise it significantly to get that flavor to flourish, and my sister had to do the same with her chicken soup base. You are advised to get three choices of protein on your first round, and I can see why. The servings are A LOT and probably wont give you the chance to try their other options if youre just two people. The service was okay. The hour we were there, we got checked on once. We had to get whoever was available if we needed anything because there is no set service person per section, it seems like. It wouldnt be an issue, but it kept me guessing who and how much should I tip based on their service apart from the suggested percentage tip. The atmosphere was very chill. Overall, its not bad, but I, myself, wont go back most likely.

Awesome place. They were concerned, knowledgeable, and accessible with allergies. I had questions at the table and at the buffet and they all either knew or passed on the questions and answered thoughtfully. The buffet was very clean and didnt give me contamination concerns.

I just left this place to never come back again. The guy with long hair named Tako was extremely rude. I brought someone with me to experience the restaurant because I enjoyed the previous time. But then when we arrived, he was standing behind the bar with someone and didn’t say anything. We wait for about 5 minutes and no one came to guest us. So I asked him if there was anyone to sit us. He said very rudely “yes, it’s me, can you wait?” My guest was shocked, but since we were already there we decided to stay. It didn’t get any better from there. It seems like he was unhappy to be working there and didn’t hide his dissatisfaction to the customers. I would give zero star to them if I could! No customer service or respect to the customers at all!

My friend and I went here for her birthday and the manager, Des, served us that evening. Des was soooo helpful and informative about how to properly cook our food and etc. She was also so friendly to us and so personable. She made our dining experience feel very special and cared about.The food was amazing and totally worth the all-you-can-eat pricing! Wow, it was soooo good. Also, the atmosphere is very welcoming. I loved the self-serve bar which really shortened the time from being seated to eating. I also loved the lighting and the chairs were soooo confortable and nice! There is also the most adorable smiling tofu diving into a soup bowl painted on the wall in the hallway.

Went in for dinner last night. It was the all you can eat option and I must say I was impressed with the choices of meats, seafood, appetizers, veggies and the sauces. We were all satisfied and very full at the end of dinner. Their house made strawberry ice cream was perfect for the end. Would go back any time!

Discovered this place during the pandemic and its still going strong. Really great food, nice staff, and they added a buffet-style bar for your sides. Dont let the fact its AYCE fool you -- this is quality stuff! No cheap and chewy cuts of meat here. My wife and I go here every few weeks.

Nice people, great food! However...not worth the price.Its 42.99/person for all you can eat hot pot, which we were totally cool with paying. But the overall service wasnt super great; we had to ask for tongs, took a really long time to get our broth, etc. It might just be a matter of them being understaffed or maybe it was just weirdly busy for a Wednesday night--benefit of the doubt and everything--but we were expecting a nicer time for that much money.Its really awesome that they have a self service appetizers/vegetable bar, something that I wish more hot pot places would have--we were able to go up and get anything we wanted, bring it back to our table and add it in. But that also gave it a lot more casual of a vibe, and the appetizers like the gyoza left something to be desired.So Id say its a good place! If youre okay with overpaying a bit, haha.

Good meats, but subpar broths. They didn’t taste like quality hot pot and had no spices in them. The miso tasted like instant miso and their signature broth was milky… it was very weird. Won’t be back.

My husband and I are addicted to this great restaurant and excellent food. We eat at Aki Shabu in North Hollywood most weeks. “All you can eat” comes with a big variety of veggie’s & noodles, and rice, delicious hot & cold appetizers, raw fish, crab, & shrimp. Only beverages are not included. You can reorder the meat or order different meats and take as many appetizers and vegetables as you can eat. My eyes are usually bigger than my stomach - but be aware: there is an additional charge of $5.99 per plate left over. The dessert - strawberry ice cream - can not be reordered. “All you can eat” should implicate it too, but there are very strict in giving you just one portion of the refreshing ice cream.The service is great, the owners polite & helpful, he appetizers are perfect; it’s a clean restaurant, the big variety of food is always fresh & delicious, the atmosphere relaxed and fun. Sometimes a little bit noisy, depending on the guests.Just be aware of a waiting line in the evening if you are fewer than 4 people. Groups of 4 people & more can make a reservation on the phone.

You pay a high price for their food and are treated very badly. Me and my friend went to this place, and the man with long hair who served us was so rude, as if we weren’t welcome there. Definitely I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Yum! The quality of meet is really good and I love the spicy creamy broth - unique and delicious! Also, the owners (husband and wife) are very kind and family people. They also have a location in Koreatown thats open for dinner and they carry A5 wagyu beef! Ill definitely be back.P.S. The art on the wall was done by the owners daughter! What a lovely touch.P.P.S. Try their rice cracker ice cream!! Never had anything like it before. They make it in-house!

My friend and I have never tried Shabu Shabu before and we decided to try the first place we saw on yelp that was near by our hotel. We walked in and the lady server (who was the sweetest and cutest lady server ever!) welcomed us and sat us right away.We told her that we had never been and had no idea what to do. She told us which meats and broths were the best in her opinion and by recommendation of others (we did the spicy creamy and the sweet broth with the top 4 meats on the AYCE list) and then showed us to the vegetable and noodle area where we got to pick out other things to add to the broth. The udon noodles, bok choy, spinach and tofu were my favorite.
