On the recommendation of a friend I decided to check out ALDI. I had never been to an ALDI grocery store before and now I am kicking myself for not trying it sooner. Pretty much everything here is less expensive than other grocery stores. The store is clean and bright and the quality of the products is high.Ill be shopping here regularly from now on.A fun thing about ALDI is the coin operated shopping carts. If you want to use a cart be sure to bring a quarter to unlock your cart from the others at the front of the store. After bagging your own groceries and taking them to your car, return your cart and get your quarter back by reattaching it to the other carts.Happy discount shopping everyone!

I always shop at whole foods since I live close to one. Ive never been to an Aldo but had to meet with a real estate client near this one so I figured...why no check it out! Its incredibly clean, They have a bigger selection than Trader Joes and the customer service is phenomenal. Theyre very organized, they have a great selection of everything, and their prices shocked me, they keep prices low because most of the items in the store is their own brand.

There summer sales are HOT right now! Splash pads for the kids. Toys and kitchen gadgets are priced well. I love the produce here, just needs an increase in variety. My only wish is that they had beef ribs.

Aldi stores in the US look just like they do in Germany; same logo, same size parking lot. Even the shopping carts manage to look just like the ones in Germany! Nothing in the stores suggests that Aldi is a German company. But it is! Their worldwide headquarter is located in my hometown, Mülheim Ruhr.

Quality of products is excellent, but one must acclimate to the layout of their store, and it took me a few times shopping there.Their selection of produce, cheese, meat, eggs, snacks, nuts, fruit is excellent. as is their canned goods - many types of beans, and soup. Pricing of eggs & milk is better than anywhere else; and generally speaking, I have not found anywhere else that compares to their pricing. LOTS OF CHOICES HERE!!

I like Aldi though the items I wanted were out of stock. They have a good collection of German chocolate. Today I decided to buy Aldi versions of popular brands I often buy. The Aldi versions were just as tasty but were almost half the cost.The current supply chain problems have also affected Aldi. Much of the frozen vegetables were gone. There was very limited amount of dark chocolate. Prices for beef items are much more expensive.

Its always a delightful experience at Aldi. Theyre very helpful and friendly! The quality of their merchandise is unparalleled, and they live up to their twice as nice guarantee. The general manager at this location (Mike) is a tool (at best), but almost all of the employees are delightful people.

I had gone for eggs. Im only a single person and there were no half dozen offered. The dozen eggs were all out, but more than $7.65 anyway! Something like eggs were in a pour-box. Maybe next time, but meantime I had no eggs! Vallarta was exact same. Im just not sure about box eggs!

Over the past year, ALDI has become my favorite western grocery store to shop at.Im always excited to see their weekly ads and sneak peeks for ALDI finds for the following week. Always something budget friendly and unique !I got to say that this is my favorite ALDI location thus far. Everything is usually well stocked, big, clean store, plenty of parking in this plaza, and the times that I have gone (weekdays in the morning or at night), there were little to no lines. This location also has a wider freezer selection I feel like and I was able to find things here that I was not able to find at the La Puente location (seasonal yogurt drink flavors etc).Yeah, sometimes the produce and fruit are kinda not great, but you just gotta sift through whats there (I mean if youre used to 1v1-ing people at an Asian market, this should be nothing).Customer service here is A+. Always helpful when I cannot find something in the ad, when eggs were smashed in the front rack, they kindly replaced the rack with new eggs, and we were able to easily return items here!What I love the most about ALDI are their limited/seasonal items. SO many different kinds of hummus, cheeses, snacks, drinks, etc. Always something interesting in the ALDI finds section as well. AND because its so affordable, I dont feel guilty trying all the new stuff! If its good, I come back for more, if its not my thing, its alright!Also very random, but I like how well stocked they are with their informational brochures at the front of the store. Theyre pretty sturdy and great as table mats...lol.

Never too busy, good selection of frozen foods, lunch meats/cheese and prepared meats, fresh fruit and veggies, tons of chips/snacks both healthy and name brand junkfood, off brand canned selections at better proces... this is THE place to go to stock up on emergency party food.Plus that one aisle of random well-priced household stuff you never knew you needed...depending on the season it could be pet beds, footstools and outdoor pillows, tool kits, kids clothes, pool toys, back to school knicknacks.

Always a huge fan of Aldi for a multitude of reasons. The store is easy to navigate, the selection isnt overwhelming, the prices are always right, and everyone seems to understand whats going on when you visit. The cashiers here are as efficient as ever, the carts require the quarter so no ones leaving em in the lot, and theres a counter to bag your groceries on instead of all the places that just have you bagging your own stuff at the end of the belt, causing a jam while folks wait for you to get out of the way. This parking lot is plenty large and never difficult to get in or out of. We visit monthly.

The Aldi concept is a little weird by American standards. That being said, this market stocks most of everything you could want from a major grocer. Although you may not recognize many of the brands the food and product quality is very good and the prices are very competitive. The staff is very limited, usually just a couple of cashiers, and you have to bag your own groceries.

My experience today at 6:06 PM was unacceptably. There was only ONE cashier!!! There was a very long line at checkout and growing...I asked the cashier if someone could be called to help and the response was no....I looked at the two items I had in my hands and and said it was not worth waiting in a long line behind people with baskets full of groceries...and for anyone who are of the opinion that I needed to have patience, and everywhere is short staffed, are welcome to go wait in line during peak shopping time, but I will choose a different Aldi to shop at....

Im always happy with my shopping experience at this store. Its a bit of a drive for me, but worth it with how much I save. I get all of my basic grocery items here, but I save fresh meats for my trips to Ralphs, and pull ups/diapers for my pickups from Target. Oh!... And I always stock up on the $2 wine!

The place is a small/med size place with a good amount of selection to choose from. They do not have a big selection of produce or meat/chicken. But for all the ambient stuff is good veriety. When time to checkout, theyll ring it up, but you got to bag it yourself. Oh the best part of Aldi is their price is incredible and their meat/poultry is real good.

I like Aldi over all their products are of a very decent quality and a very reasonably priced quality they certainly have during this. Of inflation we are all dealing with globally have increased on several of their items some of them of actually dropped in price though and some of them have remained the same and this particular Aldi is located in Altadena and I think it is one of their newest stores and its large very well stuffed and actually has no empty shelves and they are completely different from shelf to shelf on what products they are selling and the best products to to see occasionally at Aldis are always at the Altadena Aldi so I recommend this store very highly. Clean store, amazing prices, a good selection of organic and gluten free items with very reasonable prices. You have to have a quarter for the shopping cards but if you don’t the store employees will allow you to borrow one. Overall a really good store I just wish they had more selections of merchandise.

Its hard to go to any other grocery store with the level of FAST checkout and CHEAP prices. The lack of options ensures your shopping is not overwhelming. Its a Trader Joes with none of the crowds for a quarter of the price. You will be hard pressed to find anyplace more affordable than ALDI. Highly recommend.

Prices are lower than their competitors. Variety of products are available. Bring your shopping bags and 25 cents to get a shopping cart. Plenty of parking. Safe location. Good for smart shoppers. Convenient location. Store is clean. Staff was helpful to me. Items are always in stock. The store even have flowers for special occasions!!!! Store is adjacent to main road artery. There is small shopping areas, restaurants and even a post office is near by the location. Safe for locals and tourists. I definitely recommend the store if you like to save on your groceries.

The merchandise is great, but the store has not evolved with the demands of the pandemic. I left very disappointed. Carts are not being sanitized like other stores. Precautions are not being taken to maintain a clean check out experience either. I normally take my own reusable bags to gather my groceries, but while shopping at Aldi, it really is irrelevant. Since Aldi has a no bagging policy for their employees, every customer must use a cart at check out, sanitized or not. The cashier looked for the nearest cart to throw my items in, and he literally threw my items. I found him incredibly rude. Until check out, I had really enjoyed my experience. Id rather go to a market with better customer service and higher sensitivity to the consumers needs.

Aldi is great. Avoid the rip off dollar store next to it. They are part of a debit card scam! Seems to be run by some Armenian people who just rip people off all the time. Youll find extra charges from the dollar store frequently and if you dispute it they say you were there even when you werent in the town. 100% fraud dollar king store!

While at first I was totally unfamiliar with Aldi, its become my go to store. I love the fact that you need a quarter to get a shopping cart because this eliminates the ugly cart abandonment problem in the lot and surrounding neighborhoods. Not to mention car dings from runaway carts, which was a big problem at the former store occupying this site due to it being on an 8% grade. While Aldi does not have shelf after shelf of extremely similar competing products like other stores--I actually find this very helpful--I dont want to have to look through 30 types of cereal to find the one I want, what they have is excellent in taste and value, it often being their own store brand. Found some peanut butter and chocolate cookies at $1.38 a package, and they taste totally awesome, and would easily cost $3.00 or more anywhere else. Wine selection, while small, has a good range of prices, and the store brand, Winking Owl is an excellent value at $2.39 a bottle, and very suitable for everyday consumption. Likewise with the produce department not having a huge selection, but they have what you need and always have something great on special (like blueberries 2 for $3.00). Three is a large baked goods section, and the 12-grain bread at $1.69 a loaf would cost far more at Whole Foods or Sprouts, and tastes GREAT, toasted or not. I feel the meat department is the weakest department --its Costco style--where one must buy large packages to experience a cost savings, and since its just myself and my husband, its a hassle to buy a large package and have to divvy it up for the freezer. I buy my meat somewhere else, but thats about it. Dairy is one of the best values in the store, and I like the cage free eggs at at least $1.00 a dozen less than anywhere else. Dont mind bagging my own stuff, and the staff is always friendly and helpful here.

Its a quiet store, and from the looks of it, treat their workers well. Everything is relaxed compared to other stores. As a consumer, the system is a bit different, which can be surreal when one first go in, but you get used to it quickly. The items are affordable/cheaper than most stores, especially compared to Ralphs which used to be right next to it like an awkward neighbor.

Basic food and supply store; easy parking. You need a quarter to detach a cart. No name brands but their own brand can be tasty. They are a subsidiary of a European (German?) grocery company so youll find a lot of international foods. The prices are lower but you have to bag your own groceries.

I always find what Im looking for here. An entire shopping list for half the price. Some of the brands are not exactly popular brands, but they work out just the same, (if not better) for the price. The employees are helpful, the store is tidy, and my only issue with this location are the long lines. Make sure you bring a quarter (coin) to borrow a cart. Yes, you need to have one on hand.

They charge for shopping carts and when you have kids with you, looking for a single quarter is a hassle and none of the employees cared to off me a cart to put my infant!!!! Own brands (like cousin Trader Joes, often from the same vendors) so narrow selections, good quality; a very few familiar brands, unexpected features (deposit a quarter to release a cart, so NO cart-herders) may upset some shoppers. After all the overwhelming US stores with their confusing huge selections and deli counters and frozen convenience food aisles and coupons etc., this store is a breath of fresh air for an European expat who just wants to cook his own stuff. This is definitely German style, down to the deposit-unlocked carts (no carts standing in parking spaces ready for you to crash into). Bring your quarter, or get one from the cashier. The German style Brats are pretty much real German style. The only thing I could criticize is the produce, theres better options concerning taste & freshness.

One of the worst Aldis for customer service. Cashiers are very unfriendly, they must be stressed. Dont they stock shelves at night? Maybe they need to hire more people. Shelves are empty of items, on a Wed. At 11 am???If you ever ask someone if you can finds them. They dont know wth. What happen to the few good workers they had in the beginning. One African American cashier is the ONLY friendly, helpful person I ever saw there. Havent seen him in the last few months. Corporate needs to get something going here.Its horrible.

This is the first time I had been to an Aldi store. I was a little dismayed that you had to pay for a shopping cart and there were no baskets. I saw someone putting items in a recycle bag but I had forgotten mine. So, needless to say, my shopping was cut by 3/4 due to lack of something to put things in. However, the prices and selection were pretty amazing. The store was clean, organized and stocked. When I checked out, bags were not offered to me even for 10 cents. The checker was pleasant. I would definitely return for the prices.

Aldi is an excellent value, with small brand items and some brand items of Their Own. You will be able to find all of your Staples here. There are some minor idiosyncrasies but you should know before you go. The baskets require a deposit of a quarter to use. There is There is there is a large metal basket in the store folding cardboard boxes were you to use to box up your groceries instead of bagging them. The store is great and definitely worth checking out.

When I lived in the area, and the local Ralphs was closed, had to travel a few miles to go grocery shopping. Thus, I was so looking forward to having an Aldis, for the new jobs it brought, as well. So was the community. Sorry to say, we were very disappointed over the long haul. The store was clean and bright, the personnel warm. Also, having food, sundries, outdoor and housewares items, plus items for your auto, all under one roof seemed a great idea for one-step shopping, but the store wasnt big enough to have enough selection of everyday items. We are so blessed for the products that are produced here. As Aldis meats (chicken, beef, pork ) looked good in the packaging, but majority of time, no matter what grade, cooked up tough. Plain bottled water selection was very limited, as their focus was on flavored and carbonated waters. Also, the choice of produce was very limited. Their store brands were packaged to resemble well-known American brands, but werent of similar quality. Aldis tried, but missed the mark.

Small store with very specific products. No-name brands that come close to the brand name products as far as quality and taste. Bag your own groceries. You can find incredible deals sometimes like 89 cents for chicken leg quarters (5lb. bag) or 10 cents a pound for zuccini. Or even 25 cents for a big pack of strawberries.

I love shopping at Aldi. Now... I first heard of them when I was living in the midwest. The first time I shopped there I was disappointed at the lack of name brand products, but the prices made me come back. Over time, Ive learned which products I really like and can only get there, which products I dont care for, and that I should always shop Aldi before shopping elsewhere in order to save big on my grocery budget. The store is clean, aisles wide, and the cashiers very friendly and polite. Parking is free and the lot is well lit. The .25 for a shopping cart was odd until I found out you get your quarter back when you return the cart. Smart. I dont have to move carts someone left in the parking lot out of the way to park my car - like I do at every other grocery store.The one disappointment I have is that much of the produce is packaged in amounts larger than I need to buy. Thats it. Otherwise...I love shopping at Aldi. :)

I have shopped at Aldi while living in four states over the years. It is the best grocery store for your staple items and occasional incredible finds! There are amazing health foods hidden throughout the store at mind boggling prices. If you do not like an item... thats fine... return it for their double back guarantee! Literally! You get a replacement product and your money! I drive 30minutes from Hollywood and fill up my cart for less than half what I would spend elsewhere! I can buy groceries for my family and not have to step foot in some nasty place like food for less... 🤢😝P.S. their household items are good quality as well. I buy their scissors when they have them. $4 for 4 pair of top quality scissors of different sizes! They make a great little gift for no reason for people in my life. I have bought a garden swing, cool humidifier, electric floor sweeper and many other things that have been worth WAY more than I paid. The one thing that wasnt quality was a silicone bread pan. I took it back after it split in half in my dishwasher. They replaced have me my money and called a different location to hold the product for me as a replacement. I told them it was fine and I was glad to have my money back.Aldi regulars across the country are like a community of its own, and will give you a quarter for the cart, or help you find the best boxes to use if you forgot your bags.The cashiers in other states have been a lot nicer, but I imagine that since the stores here are new the employees have not gotten used to how things work. The cashiers in most of the aldi locations I have shopped at were the most positive and uplifting people... and all of that while being the fastest in the business!

Aldis and Trader Joes are owned by the same foreign company.That said they are worlds apart in quality, freshness, selection and customer service.Aldis fails in these categories.Fruits and vegetable selection limited and on the shelf way too long.When I purchased some bread and asked why is it ice cold, I was told by a cashier they buy their bread frozen and thaw it out so itll last longer! Really? They are environmentally friendly which is why they don’t give bags at all and they require you to put in 25 cents to receive a cart so incentively you return your cart to get back 25 cents you put in to receive the cart in the first place. They had gluten free cornbread mix that was excellent and they stopped carrying it. There was an slip n slide type of product in the ad but when I went to purchase they cancelled the shipment so no store received it from what I was told. They had gluten free ravioli my son and I both loved, went back and it was gone. No where in site or returning. Went today to find gf bread because they had it before and it wasnt there either. Since they have taken our Ralphs and neighborhood Walmart and super king or Baja dont offer many gluten free items, they should stock up on these things because our community is fairly trying to live a healthier lifestyle with the gf options. I think its a disservice to not have more options or things that come and go so often. However, I do enjoy the household items, plants, etc that not all other stores in our community carry. Aldi is its own unique experience. Kind of ugly, kind of weird, but sprinkled with amazing deals on a wide variety of goods. Love their bacon, which is already a bargain at $4 a pound, but imagine the day it is only $1 a pound... Or when blueberries are $0.89 a pint when the same brand is $3 at Vons. Many similar items to Trader Joes, some comparable and some not. Almost all the food is some version of their house brand. Easy to lose an hour there. It has become one of my regular shopping stops.

There is No entrance on Lake - you need to know that to start with. The entrance is at the back where the parking is. They have some organic produce, but you have to look for it.
