We ordered country fried steak great flavor with potatoes 🥔 with onions And scrambled eggs.Full order of biscuit and gravy was very flavorful and delicious with chunks of sausage !! The steak sandwich was thick cut ands tender and the fries were CRISPY!! Everything here was great and flavorful.. highly recommend our bill a little over 44$.. when adding our 2 coffees and soda

Oh my, Alice’s. The service can be a bit questionable and confusing at times but they get your food right and on time, even when packed(which is the usual). The food there was very good, the tuna sandwich I ordered was cold and crispy and not too sweet or salty. Their famously good french toast was fluffy and sweet but not overly filling. Finally their biscuits and gravy, a main stay of the American breakfast and did not disappoint here at all. This is in fact one of the few places I like eating biscuits and gravy at. Great place overall and it a little out of the way and in the middle of no where, but is worth the visit.

When I say I cant wait to go back to eat here... everything was amazing! The ladies were all wonderful and catering. Such a great environment. And the food? Lets just say I finished it all and was mad I was done! Lol it brought back memories of the mornings at my grandparents house having breakfast. They even make the pancakes into a lil character for the little ones! Thoroughly impressed! Will certainly be coming back!

First time visiting this place in all the year’s I’ve lived in this town! Alice’s is a breakfast and lunch diner with your typical fare. Food is really good and portions are generous. Service is also great. It’s tucked away on a side street near a freeway, but you can’t see it if you don’t know it’s there. I’ll be back!UPDATE: I’ve been back here four or five times since my first visit. The staff is great, and the food is consistently good. Adding pics as I wind my way through their breakfast menu. ❤️

The vibe was very laid back. Its a cool spot to get good food. The location is a bit hidden, that caught me by surprise. The servers were super nice and attentive. I tried the chicken and waffles. It was a great choice for a first visit. The waffle was incredible, and I would definitely order again.

Love this diner-like restaurant, very charming and laid back, great service and the food is excellent! Coffee is great too! Prices are reasonable. Limited seating available and gets busy during peak breakfast times. Kids menu available. Try the ABC omelet and pancakes. Restrooms inside available and parking is next to restaurant.

Food was incredible, the home fries with onions and bellpeppers the very best Ive had yet, biscuit and gravy was good, biscuits a little dry and ends kinda hard. They also serve turkey sausages which is a sight for sore eyes, thats very hard to come across in restaurants and the pricing was VERY affodable, even for their steak and eggs breakfast (menu with pricing posted in pictures). Not sure if theyre regulars are used to seeing black people or if maybe it was my eyelashes but upon entering it not only got quiet but we also got a lot of stares. The customer service was opposite. They were extremely helpful, always making sure we were fine, friendly and got anything we needed extra. All in all 10 out of 10 and we will be back.

Its a diner and probably looks like it did 50 years ago. But anyone who loves The Diner sort of place would be horrified if updated. The bathroom was kinda clean and could use some maintenance. The service was swift and especially attentive. All our food was fresh and hot including the fries! I had a club with potato salad. It was all wonderful! We will comeback.

8.19.21 @ 1130am - Dined in for 2. Parking lot was packed, but found a spot rather quickly considering. The restaurant is small inside, but was seated promptly. Servers/ waitresses were great. The prices are reasonable, and the menu is pretty typical American food. We ordered (1)black coffee, French toast combo with bacon and scrambled eggs; and chef salad with ranch dressing. The food was not good. The salad had tons of dry turkey meat. Finally, the salad had cheap sliced yellow cheese that you find in the grocery store wrapped in plastic and ready for sandwiches. The French toast was soggy. Ill definitely pass on eating here again.

This is the place you go if you want decent diner food, have a few minutes to spare (its small and always busy, so wait time is expected at times), and appreciate servers constantly working. If you understand respect for busy servers who are trying hard and patience, it will help you and them. The place has quick turnaround on customers. Just be polite, and they will respect you in return.My visit, I had to wait 10 mins, but I immediately noticed how the servers ran things and knew it wasnt going to be long at all. Had 3 people come in after me right before I got seated, but the main reason I waited was that I requested a booth, and there was none. Their party got seated due to an available table assigned to partys of 3 or more. No big deal. Server almost the second I sat down and asked me for a drink order, and I was caught off guard. No worries, I got my drink and meal order done 2 mins later. It was a breeze to order even with extras. Even places like dennys and IHOP never can nail that as smoothly to order.I had 3 eggs, home fries with green peppers and onions (just a little too much green peppers, next time I will ask for less), sausages, bacon, and toast. With a coke. The food was nearly flawless for diner food and fast and hot.There were mistakes, but nothing outside of minor. Everything was smooth.I will be coming back when I get time for it.

We came here a few months ago and I remember having an average experience, but after this second visit, we will not return. We got a table right away. I dont think they have a designated host, it seems like a waitress walking by assigns a seat. We ordered our drinks and eventually our food. Our waitress seemed tired and impatient. Shed ask us a question and take off before we finished answering; therefore, getting parts of our orders wrong. A different waitress brought us our food, and she too seemed on edge. The restaurant was hot. My family was sweating half way through breakfast. We later found out the A/C was down. The food was subpar: coffee was watered down, kids apple juice was warm, sliced American cheese instead of cheddar, the biscuits and gravy tasted canned and microwaved, the homestyle potatoes seemed like leftover baked potatoes, the pancakes tasted like Eggo... then there was a hair in my husbands food. We were done. This was the cheapest quality food, even my 5 yr old wouldnt eat it and we paid just as much as any other restaurant.

1st time trying Alices Restaurant. It was a Holiday (Presidents Day) and it was crowded. However, the wait wasnt too long. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs, with country potatoes and Toast. To drink i had coffee. The food was delicious and they were always coming around to see if I needed a refill on coffee. Coffee was good, too. Marlo was our server, excellent service, too! Ill definitely be back again!

Yes its could use a face lift but honestly as long as the place stays clean, bug free, and friendly, Im here for it.This place is always packed, and you can always expect to see every person from all walks of life in this place. Ive been coming here for a few months now and it has quickly become my favorite breakfast spot in San Bernardino and the surrounding area. Its actually become a weekly ritual for my partner and I. The food is absolutely delicious. Its no frills American dinner food at its best. They are consistent in quality and I dont think Ive ever got a bad plate of food here. The service here is phenomenal too. They really make you feel.at home and everyone is sweet as can be. They almost always have the same servers every time Ive gone so you really get to know people over multiple visits. They really make you feel like part of the family.

Good place to come in and get some breakfast or lunch. Dont come too late because the close at 2:00.Theres usually a line during peak times so you should show up early and be prepared to wait. Once inside the staff is extremely friendly and eager to serve. Sometimes they get to busy and are somewhat overwhelmed. The food is good and serving sizes are good but it is a bit pricey, but then again what isnt these days. Overall pretty good, Id go back and try something different next time.

I came here on a Tuesday and the place was full, yet we were able to be seated minutes after entering the restaurant. The cooks were throwing food out of the kitchen, and not only were they fast but it was delicious. My husband was a regular and would rave about the food. We enjoy eating out and tip very well. This place was a big miss for me. They forgot to put in our ticket waited for over 40 minutes before we spoke up bc we figured they were busy. Once we brought it to their attention they told us our food would be right out but proceeded to serve a big party before us not to mention they had arrived 20-30 minutes after us. Great food at reasonable prices. I had real army style SOS (dont ask) made with ground beef, not chipped beef or ground pork, over great country biscuits and poached eggs. Coffee was good too. Down home spot. hit the spot! Breakfast hit the spot! Could possibly use some cleaning and updating. Two egg breakfast was enough to split and they did the honors for us which was great. They also accommodated us being in a rush and wanting to leave early.There was a wait on a Sunday morning, but not bad.There’s plenty of parking, and the restaurant itself is kind of tucked back behind houses. If you’ve never been there before, Google Maps directions are correct although it’s easier to turn on the bigger street before/after depending on which way you’re coming. The way Google does it you feel like you’re driving up the driveway of the pink house.

Clean up your act!!To the owner: We enjoy your food and service. However your attention to cleanliness needs to improve drastically. Twice we have been served with dirty cups or dishes. The first one had a steamed roach on the side of the cup and the second was lipstick on coffee mug. What really took it over the edge was that mouse crawling in and out of the booth while we tried to eat a meal. Needless to say the people in the booth left and so did we. I would like to return someday but ONLY if you clean up the place. I know many of us enjoy and would love to have this place here for a long time but not at the expense of risking our health.Great food and service! It can get busy so come hungry & be patient. The staff is great at keeping up with the customer demands but with any business there are hiccups here and there. The food is great compared to similar breakfast food chains it comes on top. Foods is pretty good but their staff seemed overwhelmed today. I got an order to go and when I got home they forgot my wifes order. which is fine, people make mistakes, but I was charged full price for the meal and had to end up going somewhere else to get my wife something. We were not very impressed with the quality of the food for the price; I ordered BBQ beef and the beef was in large pieces that were tough and there was not enough sauce! It was good. Monte Cristo was superb, wife had the steak and egg, the potatoes were a stand out side dish, eggs cooked well, and steak wasnt half bad either. All the service was excellent, super friendly and nice. Quick and attentive. My only gripe was the unwashed and old lettuce used in my salad. Also the salad was not pleasant to look at, giant chunk of tomato is never a good sign especially when handed some saltine crackers as croutons. Aside from the abysmal salad everything else was really good. It is located in an alley and a little hidden cul-de-sac.

Great food, it has a homemade feeling. Very inexpensive and all the staff is friendly. Ive come to this place since I found out about it and come back everytime I can.
