Pretty solid guangdong street food place. Very unique pineapple bun pork chop sandwich; it’s really heavy and greasy but very yummy. The eggplant in fish sauce 鱼香茄子 is very very good as well. Milk tea is cheap but pretty mediocre, would not order again. The vibe is generally very good here, always bustling and family friendly. There is quite a long wait (23 people ahead of us when we arrived) but it goes by really fast and we were seated in 25 minutes.

Recommended by a couple of Cantonese friends, Alice’s kitchen is known for its authentic street food that remind people of taste of food stalls back home. Many unique dishes are new and are a fun experience to us: minced pork egg rice bowl, pork steak pineapple bun sandwich, rich and leaky milk cake. The only problem is the food is very rich and heavy.

Great place to have casual Hong Kong style breakfast...like crispy-skin tender chicken steak with optional spam and silky scramble eggs. Cappuccino is pretty good, too. Its esp nice to be able to enjoy the relaxing sunny morning at their tented outdoor area.

This restaurant makes me get into depression. I am highly disappointed… the drinks stuff, don’t even order. 😅 the food are just… I won’t say horrible but definitely not what I expected. I was expecting authentic real good Cantonese food!

This is the HK diner of my dreams. I went originally for the pineapple bun pork chop sandwich and ovaltine french toast, but the food was so delicious, I ended up going back two more times in the same weekend. The ovaltine french toast has a warm center that flows out when you cut into it and was amazing to have fresh! The pineapple bun sandwich was a bit messy but we really enjoyed the mixture of sweet and savory.The second time we went, we got classics like the baked pork chop rice with tomato sauce and some fun stuff like stir fried rice rolls. The baked rice was definitely the highlight for our group! It was salty, cheese, tangy, and very satisfying.The food selection and quality was more than I expected from this restaurant and I was impressed.One of the best parts is that they offer 2 free refills on all their drinks!! The parking lot is pretty small but there is tons of street parking in the area.This is probably my newest favorite spot! Will definitely be back to try more of their menu items.

I visited Alices Kitchen last week and while the food was above average. However, my overall experience was not entirely satisfying.Clay pot rice is good, Spinach Soup beyond our expectation! However, Beef Chow Ho Fun kind of disappointed us. If I were to return, I would be sure to try different menu items and give it another chance.

Delicious and authentic hong Kong style cafe! With a huge menu and great flavors. We had the pineapple bun with bbq pork, chow fun, curry fish balls, and steamed flour rolls. Go during tea time (3pm-5pm) for a free refill on Hong Kong tea. Ill definitely be coming back to try more items 😀

SO GOOD!! You can get fulfill your stomach for less than $15 here. I ordered the jumbo pineapple bun with chicken steak ($9), the ovaltine toast ($6), and the pan-fried fish filet, chicken steak, spicy sausage and steak($24.25) which comes with your choice of sauce and rice or pasta. The pineapple sandwich was SOO good and for ten dollars during this economy?? What a steal. It was so fresh. The ovaltine toast wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t get it again. The combo of meats were very good and I feel like it could be broken into 2 or 3 meals so definitely worth the price.Side note: Because of how the fresh the pineapple buns are, it can get a bit messy but they give you complimentary gloves.

Our top HK cafe style restaurant. Our friends drive 4 hours+ to come here. Every single dish we ordered was incredible yet reasonably priced. Aside from their famous pineapple buns, highly recommend the egg yolk shrimp. The pea shoots were some of the best Ive ever had. We will be paying a visit every time were in MP!

My boyfriend and I just ate at the other restaurant but we could still finished the French toast and half of the baked pork chop rice. The toast was delicious, the filling just poured out when you cut it. The milk tea was okay. I wish we had room to try the pineapple bun with butter because I saw almost every single table ordered that bun. I will come back here again.

Ok, Service is fast, Portion is big, and they’re quite good, the porridge is very tasty, love it. My daughter ordered Ovaltine French toast, it’s quite unique, and she likes it a lot, we both have Hong Kong style milk tea, noddle bowl and we enjoy it very much. Here is another Hong Kong style Café that I will be visiting when I am in LA.

I always enjoyed coming here. The food here is great and the staff is friendly. I really recommend the chicken with chili oil sauce. The sauce has just the right amount of spice and oil so I don’t feel like I’m drinking down grease.

Yum. Sooo yum!They put butter on all the bread so I took it off to avoid a heart attack and an unnecessary spike in my cholesterol (there is already sugar or syrup for the bread so it’s not needed).My friend took me here to try legit Hong Kong breakfast. It did not disappoint!My favorite was the pineapple bun. It was perfectly crispy and tasty and I love it plain (no custard inside)!!My second favorite was the thick french toast with peanut butter inside (and syrup on the side). Mmm a combination I would have never thought of but it was so tasty!!I also like how they combine coffee and milk tea! But the egg they brought out was very unappetizing and not how I like eggs cooked.Service is stinky in the sense where my friend raised her hand and it still took awhile for someone to come by. But! The waiter spoke canto and English so I could easily talk to him.Sitting outside was nice….until flies started landing on my food -___- but it depends if you are willing to wait for inside seating. I was not and I suffered for it.Oh and parking is pretty awful. The lot is super small. I ended up parking in the neighborhood area and walked a block but I guess it was good since I ate so much!Overall, it was really delicious and I can’t wait to bring people here to have a great experience like I did! A great alternative if you miss Hong Kong style fast food restaurant. Went for a late Saturday brunch and managed to get a parking spot right next to the restaurant. Most staff can speak Cantonese and are friendly. The curry fish ball was not as half good as authentic Hong Kong street food:( but the ovaltine French toast(漏奶华is good and not so sweet. Grilled chicken pineapple bun was also good. The iced lemon tea was supposed to be the signature item for Hong Kong style fast food, but the tea was not good and it tasted flavourless. I will probably visit again but really hope some items could be improved.

My new favorite hong Kong style breakfast restaurant in Los Angeles. Everything we ate here was incredible, including the pinapple bun egg sandwich, which had a piece of seared chicken that I wish I knew how to cook. The Ovaltine toast was wild and had so much delicious milky topping, and the breakfast soup was very tasty. The prices here are incredibly affordable. Worth the drive and worth the wait!

This is one of the few Chinese restaurants in the area that has outdoor seating. It is the main reason why we chose to eat here today. Ordered stir fry udon with beef in black pepper sauce, wonton noodles and curry fish ball. Beef was tender and the whole dish was flavorful. The curry fish balls were ok - sauce was delicious but texture of fish balls was soft. I assume their curry dishes would be good but I won’t order their fish balls again.

Was recommended to try this spot but to beware of service and wait time. We didn’t have to wait too long for a table, service, or food. Service wasn’t rude as I’d been warned either. They were super busy, and all of the employees were hustlin’.The menu is pretty large. We got a variety of things, and everything was delicious. Hope to make it back to try more things next time I’m in the area.They have indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of to-go orders too.

I dont think you can find a more authentic taste and atmosphere than at Alices Kitchen. Details that set the atmosphere include between the plastic chairs and tables, the bright orange plastic plates and bowls, and the outdoor parking lot seating next to the HK taxi. The food quality is top notch as well, highlights being the pineapple buns and curry fish balls. Parking always seems limited so expect to park on the street. Only downside is that the breakfast combos are not as generous as other HK Cafes, so adding sides will cost you, so this is not exactly a value meal kinda place.

I go here for the hk style breakfast. Go early or the wait could get long. Sandwiches are amazing. Milk tea is very close to what you get in HK!Updated: they have some new sandwiches. Tried the satay pineapple bun sandwich. It isnt as good as the spicy sausage sandwich. I also would recommend ordering the HK customized noodles (Curry is good). I like their porridge too.

Got a wonton noodle to go. The staff was very helpful. Prices were not bad. The wonton noodle was ok although it’s below Hong Kong standard, which is rather high. Wished I could see chunks of shrimp in the wontons. It’s a decent place compared to similar restaurants in the area.

Nice, authentic Hong Kong style cafe. The menu had a good selection of a la carte items (noodles, congee, sandwiches) and dishes served with rice. We got the salt and pepper pork chops, walnut shrimp and basil clams. Standard portion sizes for lunch. Walnut shrimp was particularly tasty. The shrimp was nice and crispy, with just the right amount of mayo. Minced pork over rice was also tasty ( watch out for the chili peppers).Also, the selection of drinks was good. And the staff did an excellent job of keeping them topping them off.

This is THE SPOT for your HK Style Breakfast & Lunch fix!!!I went today on a Weekday when it was raining so there wasnt too bad of a wait. Im not well connected in this area anymore so, I have to wait like everyone else now, lol.We got seated fairly quickly and because it was the weekday, there were still some available seating.Forget about it on the Weekends!!!People were STILL seating outside in their tents while it was pouring rain!!! I guess they like that cold wind ambiance?? 😆I went with their Signature HK Style Noodles.There like 6 sections of 4 or more options of how you can have your noodles.It was pretty amazing to say the least.My Date got the same noodles as I did and we shared some HK Style Toast which has some condensed milk filling and powdered chocolate topping.It should be comforting for most all cultures if youre weary about trying something unfamiliar.When in doubt, always go with Chicken, lol.Service could have been a little more attentive though, they still do a good job with how busy they get. TIP WELL STILL, they work hard for it with no complaints or sour face while doing Their Job.Restaurant was very clean with a cool lighted mirror and funny tiles in both English and Chinese about bathroom hygiene fundamentals 😂Their Kitchen looked spotless and polished👌Parking Lot is always FULL so, Park on the Side Streets and MAKE SURE to READ the Street Parking Signs.If I remember correctly, youre good except for One Day Street Sweeping. Ive always seen a long line of people at this place, so I wanted to try it out myself.Went for lunch and had the beef curry stew with rice which was recommended by the waitress.The taste was okay but there was virtually no beef in the dish. Just a few chunks of fat and potatoes.Definitely not worth spending almost $20 for this small lunch plate without meat.Told the waitress about it but it seemed that she really didnt care too much.

As much as I enjoy dining at Hong Kong style cafes/restaurants, Alices Kitchen is mediocre at best. The service here is extremely slow and during certain times, its non-existent. While waiting in line, I asked the host why there was empty tables outside in the patio that arent filled. His response was rude and condescending, something I didnt expect from a restaurant that just opened. The food is okay here and given the fact the owners here were the original owners for Delicious Food Corner, I seriously prefer DFC than this spot. Workers are nicer and the food tastes better in my opinion. I had high expectations since they were the original DFC owners but they didnt meet my high expectations. DFCs location in San Gabriel honestly is better than this place and closer to me.When you finally sit down, getting a servers attention is nearly impossible. After flagging down someone, he informs me that hes new and he cant take orders and he has to find someone else. Its the same thing for refills on your drink, it takes awhile until someone can refill it for you. While dining, Ive seen other patrons getting up from their tables and pouring their own iced water that they got from the kitchen bar...yes its that kind of service. I hope this place hires more workers to keep up with the pace of customers because its ridiculously busy.

The restaurant reminds me of Hong Kong. Even the orange plates gives off the vibes. I mostly came here to try the Ovaltine French toast. It was basically French toast with Ovaltine powered on top and with evaporated milk mixed with condensed milk filling. Btw, it is not as sweet you think it would be. I think I would have been happier if I have gotten the peanut butter French toast. The porridge was good (not pictured- was too hungry). Overall, I would come back to try other dishes.

Popular Hong Kong style cafe. Love coming here to get their breakfast congee set. It comes with drink and choice of side. I usually get takeout by ordering from one of the websites the restaurant is affiliated. Order is usually ready on time. Parking can be challenging during busy times but you can find parking around the neighborhood.

Service is good and place resemble Hong Kong local outdoor dining. However the food is subpar - the congee is not hot and the rice is broken but not cooked long enough. The fried dough is not fried enough and not hot. The white sauce chicken baked rice has a trace of butter taste for unknown reason. Nonetheless, the pineapple bun with butter and Peanut butter French toast are both good quality. I suspect the cook is more familiar with traditional Hong Kong style dishes instead of the fusion dishes, and I do see more people other those instead, so I may give it another try with traditional dishes and see.

Last time I went I got the filet mignon cubes. They put way too much salt when making the sauce. Probably the worse filet mignon cubes Ive ever had. You may not see them smile, but the staffs are very nice and very efficient. One of the waitress saw my kid shivering while seating outside and offered us to change to another table with heat. That shows you how much they care about their customers. Their Hong Kong style food is by far the best that we have had in California.

This is one of my favorite places for Hong Kong-style breakfast. This rating is for breakfast only. I have been here for lunch and dinner but both times were mediocre.But the breakfast! This is one of the few places in LA where you can find pretty much ALL of the classics. The lines can get long but dont be deterred. With all the additional outside seating under the big tents post-COVID, the line moves very fast.But if you get the chance to sit inside (or at least go inside to use the restroom lol) check out the decor - the kitchen/bar area and the miniatures near the entrance are nostalgic and very fun.Oh and all the postcards out front? They are fan clubs promoting Hong Kong singers (mostly Mirror)... scan the QR code and check them out! :D

Been here twice now, once for lunch and the other for brunch. If you’re really craving HK style diner food, this place is a pretty great option that won’t break the bank. I prefer the breakfast/brunch option that offers set meals that usually come with a noodle dish (your choice of noodles), eggs, and a pineapple bun (or you can opt for toast). Definitely get a milk tea while you’re there. But beware, they usually have set times for that menu, so arrive earlier. Guaranteed you leaving with a very full happy belly. Plus service is usually very fast and efficient.

It is absurd that there was only one waiter serving customers during lunch hours at 1:30. I raised my hand for 5 minutes and no one came. I had to shout at the waiter check please when he happened to be at the other corner. I paid by credit card. And then another waiter showed up with a hand held device asking me to input the tips amount - the minimum preset amount was 18% of the after-tax total. I think this way of asking for tips make me uncomfortable. I certainly dont think they deserve 18% of the after-tax amount.By the way I am a native Cantonese speaker. I dont think they are nice to Cantonese speakers only, as some of the reviews here suggested.

I think its my best HongKong food choice in LA. Im so craving HK street food, and most of them can be found here!! It tastes so authentic and tasty. The food is quite good but the customer service is really bad. We have been here a handful of times this year. We ordered and spoke Cantonese and yet felt like we were treated as second class citizens every time. The waitress was not friendly and extremely impatient even when we went early and it wasnt that busy. Such a shame, the food is quite decent but the dining experience here is really quite unpleasant.

We love asian food my husband and I decided to stop at this place because seem to be good so we got in, a waiter took us to our seat and leave a menu charts but he never bother to come back and find out what we would like to order, we were there for around 30 minutes what a waste of time. Everything we had for HK cafe breakfast was fresh and delicious, with high quality ingredients. We had fish congee, vermicelli soup with fish, and their famous pineapple buns. Prompt service. We tried Alices Kitchen today and it was fantastic! Im disabled and they were accessable ♿. Staff was very friendly and the lunch menu was so tasty. The Green beans #158 was so tasty my husband ate most of it and he doesnt like veggies. Shrimp and egg was succulent and it had crispy noodles. Beef chow mien was tender and juicy. Cant wait to go back for their breakfast and dinner times. We found our new spot!

Hong Kong style dishes, resonally priced and theyre excellent.Some of my favorites include: curry beef stew, pork patty with rice in clay pot, fish stomach soup, preserved egg and pork porridge, beef and bean sprout chow fun, filet mignon cubes with chinese greens and stirred fried chinese green beans.I go there every couple of days when Im home in LA.My family orders out 3-4x a week.Cant wait to go back on my next visit.Good food and good service.

For all the hype the food was close to disgusting. Lots of rice, undercooked, massively over-salted meats (even without soy) and not a vegetable in sight!Also, no tea was served. This is a lovely place. No waiting lines on a Sunday morning. we got seated and our order taken almost immediately. Came here for tea time snanks and Hong Kong style tea with milk because I was in the area and found the rating for the HKMT was high. Gave it a try. After trying it, I would say it wasnt as good as the rating says. The most I could give is two stars for the HKMT. The tea itself was not strong enough and the tea leaves they used wasnt the right combination. When they came out, it wasnt hot enough. And it was so tiny... However, they do give you refills but I didnt ask for it. No point having an additional cup of it wasnt good. It was much better with the previous owner

One of previous owner from delicious corner open this restaurant, and It has been improved in food quality in my opinion. I am very enjoyed with a couple of new items such as Jumbo Pineapple Bun with Pastrami and Sampen Congee because it is very delicious, and other Cantonese Cafe which doesnt have this ideas in a food menu yet. Although food quality is good as same as Delicious Food Corner (or better), parking and services which is disadvantage in my opinion. It is because parking doesnt have enough parking in a peek time, and I do believe services need a little bit improved because of lack of excited to work.Overall, I recommend Jumbo Pineapple Bun, Sampen Congee, Pork Liver & Kidney, and Lemongrass Pork chops & Chicken Steak because it is tasty and big portion as well.

Food was decent, however, I noticed a small sign on the window inside that says Liberate Hong Kong, This is our revolution, a clear sign that the restaurant is supporting the rioters in HK. In light of the level of violence that is taking place in HK right now, innocent bystanders are getting beaten, killed by violent protesters, I cant condone that. Wanted to give this place a try and support during these hard times. Called in to order on 10/5/20 Monday night at 8PM. She said food would be readyin about 25 minutes. Got there at ~8:40PM and she says itll be ready in 25 minutes. Why? Because they didnt even start making the food yet. (So calling in ahead of time was useless). Which is fine, mistakes happen.BUT, she chose NOT to explain why I had to wait so she didnt have to apologize. Making a mistake is one thing, but not owning up to it to customers is another thing. They should really learn customer service and to apologize for their mistakes. Just because you ignored the mistake, doesnt mean it disappeared. Its about the principle.How you just gonna disregard the fact that I have to wait 25 mins when the food was supposed to be ready 15 mins ago? Props to her for being able to act like nothing happened/nothing was wrong. (Keep in mind, they had no other customers waiting, so they legitimately forgot about my order).
