Authentic Hawaiian poke bowls in El Segundo!Friendly staff and delicious food. Definitely worth the trip if youre craving a more traditional Hawaiian style bowl. They feature various ahi options and the choice for salmon and shrimp as well. One bowl is about $16-17 but its super fresh, delicious, and worth every penny!

I really like their Signature Ahi Burger! The ahi patty is moist and thick. It came with cheese, pea sprouts and red onion. The Hawaiian & Ponzu Salmon Poke is delicious too, but the size is a little small.

Delicious Hawaiian style poke restaurant. The poke bowls are tasty and the staff is friendly. The space is clean and tidy. The fish looks and tastes super fresh. I am excited about heading back sometime for some of their daily deals or fish sandwiches. We got the poke bowl with salmon and spicy tuna.

I thought this place was amazing. I have only been there once, but I want to go back and try literally everything on their menu. I had the ahi burger with kimchi and a side of their homemade chips and smoked ahi dip. This place feels like a local joint where you get high quality food at reasonable prices. I dont care that the parking is terrible, and that it took a little while to get my food. It was amazing, and I would absolutely go back again and again.

This restaurant experience was excellent. The food is divine. FRESH FRESH FRESH is the rule at Alii.We sampled virtually everything on the menu and everything was an experience akin to wonderment. Flavor, depth of character and service that made us feel well taken care of. I love a restaurant that is willing to walk you through a new experience.A side note; washrooms are very clean, well appointed and accessible.Please eat here, you will send me a birthday card based on my recommendation.

This place is a little slice of Hawai’i. 🥹 They have the best Kalua pork ever and the freshest and tastiest poké outside of Hawai’i! I love that they use brown rice. My dad loved the huli huli chicken plate I brought home. And my sister loved the garlic fried chicken plate. Both chicken plates are really flavorful. Staff is friendly and Guy is super nice and welcoming. Janette is the sweetest. Picture is of my two choice poké bowl with spicy tuna and Hawaiian poké and an order of Kalua pork tacos. Soo good!! I went here with six coworkers on a Friday at noon. Everyone enjoyed their food and the atmosphere outside. The host/cashier was friendly. I had the teriyaki salmon burger and liked it.My one critique is that they served everything in plastic, even for dine-in. This is not what I expected from a seemingly hip, progressive, beach community restaurant. They should use ceramic or paper plates and bowls.

I had a good meal here, and enjoyed the outdoor terrace. Fish was fresh and delicious. Staff were friendly and gave helpful info on various menu items.One suggestion I would offer to management is to explore alternatives to the plastic containers food used to serve the orders. Best poke bowl I’ve had in a long time! The spicy ahi and the ponzu salmon were a good mix together and the “ocean salad” on top finished it up nicely. Had a piece of the ahi katsu from the daily promo menu (30% off) and that was also fried very nicely and the ahi was superb. Great seating area outside and convenient parking on the premise - maybe five spots but looks like there was a lot of street parking around. Overall really good and would definitely go back again!

A bit overhyped from what I was hoping for. The poke bowls are very simple with your choice of one or two choices of seafood (fish, shrimp) over a bed of rice and additional add-ons of ocean salad (seaweed salad), edamame or avocado for an up-charge of $1.50. So pretty limited in terms of toppings. However, its nice to know that their fish is never frozen and is from Hawaii so at least there in quality in that.I would consider this a good lunch option since the poke bowls are pretty light. Secondly, towards the end of the day they are more limited with whats available.Theres a patio out front and some indoor seating. Service is friendly though. I wouldnt go out of my way to eat here, but if you want good quality fish and nothing too crazy then this place is for you.

Wonderfully fresh ahi tuna poke expertly prepared. Best Ive had outside of Hawaii. Fish nuggets were great for sharing. They use sushi rice with a blend of white and brown rice seasoned with rice vinegar; very tasty with the fish. Staff were helpful in explaining the origin of their fish and offering poke and fish dip samples. Im looking forward to visiting again.

We go searching for decent poke and find this place cause of the reviews. We get there and the employee doesnt explain that they include almost nothing besides fish and rice in the bowl. Nothing, because theyre out.To the owner or manager: primary ingredients like seaweed salad at a Poke place should probably be a top priority.We order anyways because the fish looked good and thought, surely they wont just sell us fish and rice in a bowl.We get two small bowls of just fish and rice.30 bucks later were wondering what the heck we were thinking.We were very disappointed. Jus Poke or any of the Poke chain restaurants will serve you better, more flavorful Poke and probably bother to actually have the basic stuff.

This is probably the highest quality poke you’ll get outside of Hawaii and I’m glad it’s here in LA so I can get it. They have a fairly extensive menu that I always want to try but I can’t get myself to stray from the poke. I’ve tried most of the flavors and they’re all great.

Hands down the best Hawaiian poke you can find outside of Hawaii. The seaweed salad was an add-on since you normally dont get it with poke. Soy ginger ahi is the dark poke on the top of the bowl and spicy ahi poke is on the bottom. Both excellent, though you may find the soy ginger a little salty.

At the time of my visit they were empty and people started to come in as I left. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered a poke bowl with the flavors of ponzo salmon and sweet and spicy ahí. I also added a seaweed salad and an ahí taco. Tuesdays tacos are $2. The taco was good but the poke was the best Ive had in a long time. This isnt the kind of spot that you pick toppings. Its more traditional Hawaiian, just fish and a few ingredients. Im from the SFV and Id drive back just to eat it again. Also theres a good amount of seating and parking in the rear.

This is one of the best poke bowls Ive had here in the South Bay. Its simple, already mixed into 5 types of poke, you choose which ones you want and only 3 add ons available. It reminds me of when I got poke in Hawaii. Havent had any of the other items yet but looking forward to reviewing more from this place.

Great poké place that does a proper, traditional Hawaiian rendition. They said the ahi tuna comes in fresh from Hawaii. Got the onion limu ahi which was simply marinated and very flavorful, not too salty. “Ocean” salad (seaweed) was perfectly seasoned. Seems like a nicely run family spot, with a young girl running the cashier, serving food, and the owner quickly checking on my meal two bites in.

Of course I havent been to Hawaii, but they serve the most delicious and stunning Hawaiian food.The taste of the fish sandwich was just super, they combined the fish and the sandwich, when they brought it I thought it wouldnt be tasty, but when I took one bite, my opinion definitely changed for the better.The salmon was cooked just right and didnt lose its flavor. The garlic salmon i had was overcooked. The pork bowl was ok, nothing extraordinary. Ive had the poke there, which is great, but very expensive. If your going to try the place out, go for poke!! No atmosphere, the inside is almost empty. Outdoor patio is nice, but small. Few drink options. Staff had never been very friendly or welcoming. Service is so-so, barely there. They dont come out to check on you. Im not sure Id eat there again.

Honestly mediocre, also I ordered over the phone and told my specific order over 4 times. Then when I get there I verify it, and ask is everything there. As I’m driving home I check the food, of course a main dish is missing. Drive all the way back and tell them, they don’t even offer me anything small for waiting another 20 minutes and driving back. I’m not trying to get free stuff but I asked multiple times if everything was there. The poke was extremely basic and tasted all the same. The chicken was very good though, and tuna was good. Nothing special, I may try it again and see if anything changes.

Best Poke on this side of the pacific. Yes I know Vegas has good poke because of all the local transplants but Alii is better than everything Ive had in Vegas. This may be due to my affinity to Taniokas in Waipahu. I lived in Waipahu and that was my home break for poke so whenever I find anything close to that- Im all for it.They do it right here. The mix the fish and have it sitting in a refrigerator case. None of that we make it when you order it all custom garbage. Im so ok with this place I can let the offer to add avocado slide and even the way they pronounce it as pokee.

Have been here 3 times. Have specials every day. The Monday special are the fish burgers which are 30% off. Their tuna teriyaki burger is excellent and not cloyingly sweet as many are. They make their own potatoe chips which pairs very well with their smoked fish dip. Excellent Kim che burger too, not too hot. The good: a very nice patio to sit and watch the sun go down and a very friendly owner and staff. Not alot of inside seating and no ice or cups or staws for drinks. Parking is behind the restaurant and requires a walk up a pretty steep grade to the front door.

I had the poke bowl and compared to other poke places like poke bar you can feel and taste the better quality fish. The bowl came with rice and 2 choices of fish. I had spicy tuna and a salmon with good sauce on it. It was made quickly and tasted great. There isnt any other poke place in the neighborhood section of El Segundo despite there being a decent amount of sushi places. If you want poke or a sushi burger this place is a good option

We wanted to love it, especially being recommended by friends of ours who grew up in Hawaii, but it was just average. We agree with many reviews that the poke is of the more authentic variety; and while it was tasty, it wasnt amazing. The fish and ingredients were fresh, yet the smaller portions didnt merit the higher prices. They goofed our order, adding stuff we didnt request to one order, and forgetting to include stuff on another. There was a buy 2 alcoholic beverages and get a free Ahi popcorn tuna special, but after our food was brought out they informed us there wasnt any Ahi popcorn and gave us potato chips and dip instead- we would have appreciated them updating the chalk board menu so we would have known ahead of time. The Pinot Noir we ordered wasnt cheap cost-wise (not super expensive either), but it tasted cheap- overly sweet with a blah taste. Theres so much good wine out there, why serve stuff like that? There was ample time for the staff to come outside and chit-chat with friends, yet the tables were dirty and not wiped down between guests- actually not wiped down at all. We may give it another go, but we wont order alcohol and go in with more measured expectations.

Every time I go here, I’m never disappointed. I don’t do poke, myself, but my family loved the poke they had. I’ve had several fish sandwiches here and have never bee disappointed. (Thats what happened to me because Aliis poke is so good.)*Quality fish that is unrivaled in Southern California (to my knowledge). Ive been to countless poke joints up and down the coast, and Alii is far superior to all of them.Their attention to detail is 100. Ono food! But phone didnt work for phone order. Overcooked salmon when specifically told them to lightly cook it, twice now. Poke was super salty the only time I had some....I enjoy the ahi katsu burger alot and get this everytime. I like to support small Hawaiian food places.....but Ive been getting disappointed a couple of times as mentioned above so I dont come as often as before..

Unfortunately disappointing. I don’t know if it was that we showed up 40 minutes before closing or that we ordered the “wrong” dishes, but it just was not good. The ahi I got with my fish plate was the most poorly prepared, overcooked fish I’ve had at a restaurant.

Ever since poke became a thing on the mainland, I have been disappointed time and again by restaurants serving salads with a tiny scoop of mushy unseasoned fish on top and calling it poke. (Get out of here with your teriyaki sauce and crispy onions, what are you thinking mainlanders?) Authentic poke consists of fresh and firm cubes of the best quality fish, thoughtfully seasoned with traditional ingredients to complement the delicate flavor of the fish.Alii Fish is legit. Its like you just strolled into Foodland off Hekili to grab a deli container of spicy ahi. So, if you are homesick, be careful, because you will spend all of your money here. The fish is ridiculously fresh, menu items are well-prepared, and every employee I have interacted with has been very pleasant.Another really satisfying and authentic dish is the loco moco. I adore the kalua pig loco moco, but I have one tiny request. The best part of loco moco is busting your egg yolk - but each time I have ordered it, my egg has been scrambled instead of over-easy. Dont get me wrong, I will continue to order it anyway because it is that good, but if you give me my egg yolk, I will order twice as often.

What can I say? Having spent some time in Oahu I have been needing an official fix. They did it for me. With that, some of the best spicy tuna I’ve ever had. Definitely will be going back tomorrow. If you’re in LA.. make it a point to stop at this foodie hidden jewel!

Tuna is firm and fresh... getting high quality poke outside of Hawaii is hard to come by. This place delivers. Bonus for weighing the fish... however the scale did not show the weights to the customer...clear transparency is recommended to build trust.

Just to put it out there-Went to lunch with my Fiancé. He ordered fish and chips which were really tough and dry. And I ordered the poke bowl. Heads up, this is the only poke place where if you ask for greens instead of rice they will “upgrade” you to a poke salad for $3 extra. Either way wasn’t so special in my honest opinion.

When I crave seafood, this place is at the top of the list! They have such flavorful poké, although only a few options, and they fish and chips isnt too greasy like most places. Also you must try the chips and dip they have. The dip is a special fish blend which sounds weird but its delicious!

Ive been hearing great things about Alii and was SO glad I finally got to try it. I never had the fortune to visit Hawaii (but Im going this September!!) so I really had no idea what to expect.Im more used to the assembly line type of poke spots. At Alii, you order at the front and they bring out your poke to your table. I got the ponzu salmon and sweet and spicy ahi -- both very good. The fish is pre-marinated and very fresh. Ive had fresh poke before but the marinades really made it for me.Im kind of sad that Alii is in downtown El Segundo. This is convenient for me to come during my lunch break, but I really want to bring my family here and they live on the other side of town. Anyway, highly recommended if youre in the area!TIP: if you check in on yelp, you get a free ahi dip with chips!

I am unqualified to say this poke is the best since i have eaten little of it in the past, but that is about to change. this is incredible! i saw they left their boxes that the fish come in near the dumpster in the parking lot, and Ahi is from Hawaii, so that got me pumped. i had the Onion Ahi on the sweet/spicy ahi with seaweed. it was perfection. I live in OC and I lament we do not have something of this quality down there.
