I received a flyer in the mail and wanted some barbecue. I didnt check the reviews before ordering. Pulled pork sandwich was dry and the bread microwaved. The chicken was hard to eat maybe reheated, corn bland coleslaw was the only thing that taste good. Macaroni and cheese just ok. I would love to help this restaurant.

Worst cold food I ever had. They just reheated the trip tip and the ribs.😩Mac&cheese reheat and the potato salad not fresh!! I got mad that I paid for overheated food . 28.99. Not worth it . I will not recommend it at all.. I just try it for the first and last time. Won’t go back again!! 😤I couldn’t head back for a refund but I was late for work . So the food made it to the trash.

Trash all over out side of restaurant. Dirty and cluttered inside. Food was served on Styrofoam and plastic utensils. Workers eating and doing paperwork in middle of tables. Instead of music they had the volume up on a TV show but TV was off. The baby back ribs were so hard and over cooked. They seemed to have been cooked the day before and reheated in microwave.

This is a good barbecue joint. 3.5 stars, solidly good. The grilled chicken is filling and the sauce is tangy and mildly sweet. The decor is a little immature with all the Budweiser flags, but sports fans will like the TVs showing sports game and highlight shows. The food is up relatively quick, in about 15 minutes. It is fairly empty inside, but the outdoor seating is nice to enjoy the weather.

Nice big kitchen and the smell of the wood burning stove makes me hungry! Prices are good here and the staff is very friendly. They are adding outdoor seatings also. Food may take a bit longer to prepare but you cant have quality food at microwave speeds.

Food isn’t bad but ITS EXPENSIVE with SMALL PORTIONS $44 just for me and when I got home, I was so disappointed to see how little food they gave me you get about 3 tablespoons of mashed potatoes as a “side” then the baked beans come in a Styrofoam to go container like ones you would see gravy in and they only fill it up halfway like OK I understand that Ms is probably expensive but I have never been to a barbecue place where they don’t give you a generous size for sides . I seriously cannot believe I just spent $44 and I’m still not even full and I’m a small woman.

I was surprised to see this place empty, considering how packed the shopping center was. However, the slow service, the ketchup and hot sauce bottles that have crusted on old food and whose contents look brown, and the burnt rubbery chicken explained it. The counter staff struggled with clear communication. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the mac and cheese, though not very cheesey, had an interesting smokey flavor and was tasty.

I want to support a small business, but this is just not good.Small portions for the cost (Im not a big portion person, but the price was way too high for what we got)We had take out, but I saw the dining room and I was glad I wasnt eating there....why? There is an office in the dining room...not a separate office, mind you...one of the dining room tables in the dining room with stacks of papers, a printer and a computer. This place has become our favorite spot. My 5 year old lives for this place… tri-tip, beans, corn bread! Great price for good quality meats.The place is clean, the owner is kind and very generous, and the food is amazing! BBQ sauce is great and goes well with anything we get.I thought it would be a one and done restaurant, we find ourselves there 2-3times per week over the past month. My son and daughter want it every night.Happy customers!!!

Had dinner last night at their new location on Platt & Vanowen (used to be a Chinese Restaurant) - The food was fantastic! I had the Tri-Tip & Chicken plate (2 pieces of chicken), Roasted Potatoes, and Cornbread. Everything was very tasty. I had been to their Northridge location a couple of times, but thoroughly enjoy this location more. Their smoker for the meats is right outside the front door to get into the restaurant - which means that BBQ smell follows you in and follows you out. Will definitely come back!

Real BBQ is better quality than this. The chicken is still red. The owner of the place rudely says What do you want instead of How may I help you? But was very polite to his Caucasian customer before me. Even worse, the food is too overpriced to be that rude in the first place. At least make some good food before you talk down on your customers.Chick Fil A is across the parking lot selling COOKED chicken with better service and pricing, better yet they dont treat us by the color of our skin!Melanin beware!

First time I ordered online here. I have ordered for pickup before.After I placed my order I received a call saying they were out. So I changed my order to something I didnt really want. The replacement pork ribs were okay. The coleslaw was warm since it was in the same container as the ribs, so okay, I get it.When the delivery guy showed, they forgot the onion rings. He said they would be right back. 35 minutes later, they arrived, after I had moved on with things to do.Salmon was a little dry.Why does the website force you to pick Rare, Medium Rare or Well done on salmon? Or even ribs? You are not asked or forced to choose when ordering in person.The people seem nice. But overall, not the best ordering experience.

I ordered from here before and the food was okay. The pulled pork was pretty good. However, it wasn’t until recently that I walked in to see none of the cooks wearing masks. Come on, we’re on year what, three of this pandemic? Who knows what else they let slide while preparing customers meals. 🤢 That level of carelessness makes me regret ever trying this place. It’s not worth the health risk.

We went here with my brother and sister-in-law. They got their food and ours took so long they were almost finished with their lunch. When they finally called our number they apologized over the loud speaker which I thought was rude. Be aware of the menu - I wanted a pulled pork sandwich and I got a hamburger with pulled pork on top. Apparently I ordered from the wrong section. I didnt even eat it it looked so bad. I tried my husbands meal and the meat was dry and not much flavor. I had to pour bbq sauce all over it.

Fall order of baby back ribs two sides that were teeny tiny and wrong sides were given tiny piece of cornbread. And that was just the food oh and dry ribs no extra sauce was delivered after requesting extra sauce shall I go on. And let me just mention when I did call the guy who answered couldn’t even find our order restaurant need some help. Unfortunately, this restaurant reminds me of something that was on restaurant impossible. The food taste microwaved. My tri tip was over cooked and very dry, the macaroni was favor-less, and the corn bread was burnt! I found this restaurant in an effort to support a black owned business. But, it is not a black owned business. I was the only black person in the entire establishment. We called back and asked if it was a black owned and the the gentlemen said my partner is black. I will eat anywhere as long as the food is good. But, it was the worst BBQ I ever tasted.

The manager always remembers us. Is very likeable and helpful. I have special diet restrictions and he willing went over all the ingredients in several dishes for me. We love the hamburgers and the chicken trip plate. Always excellent food and service.

I witnessed the manager harassing a DoorDasher, the guy was just trying to get the order and the manager was screaming like a child and making a scene. The manager seemed super confused and wouldnt give the Dasher the orders but the guy was being super nice and just trying to do his job. You could tell the manager was just a bully.I looked at previous 1 star reviews and you can see the owners responded to an issue where the restaurant was clearly behind on an order and claimed 1 cook working.. which happens! But the owner responds blaming it on the driver? That makes no sense, time equals money, and its apparent this place has a grudge against the people who are probably the only reason theyre still in business. With everything closed during the pandemic we should be supporting drivers. Without delivery your doors would be closed.Im disgusted and will not come back. Ordered a Tri-Tip plate with Mac and Roasted Potatoes. Overall alright, problems I had were with the Tri-Tip which was definitely well-done, personally I prefer my meat medium-rare, but the real problems were with the corn bread and the roosted potatoes. The potatoes had so much seasoning on it that it was almost inedible, and I like seasoning on my potatoes. The corn bread was also very dry and brown almost the whole way through, had to throw it away after a couple bits. The mac and cheese was the bright spot of the meal.

We Love this local place. Its our go to when we want to have a delicious, low key, BBQ meal on the spur of the moment. Great food, smoked meats in house....not just all BBQ sauce, prepared well, very casual atmosphere. (think sports bar with big screens). The menus has a wide selection....except for veggie entrees: burgers, BBQ chicken, Tri-Tip steak, Ribs, Salmon, all with 2 sides: steamed veggies, garlic toast, garlic mashed potatoes, fries, etc. I usually get the veggies....which are NOT from frozen...they are freshly steamed & a little on the crispy side....not soggy mush. The garlic mashed potatoes and garlic toast are also very good. For beverages theres a big selection:beer & wine,bottled sodas, as well as fountain drinks, & now offering soft serve ice cream. One negative I do need to mention: getting your food is slow....sometimes very slow, but you can call in an order ahead...that seems to help. All this at a VERY reasonable price. Never had a bad meal here.

My bank account was tied up but I had money in my Venmo account there card runner has Apple Pay google pay and all those easy payment methods but it couldn’t scan my Venmo code but owner was nice enough to let me pay him to his Venmo instead which was awesome because I wasn’t sure how or were else I could use venmo to order my daughter and I dinner last night! Saying poor service is a compliment..Specially from a Manager Ross. Who kept putting me on hold constantly. Insisting I should contact Postmates... Restaurant staff verbally acknowledged one hour and forty minutes earlier after when order was originally placed that we would receive an update(claiming running out of meats!) Three hours later Manager Ross claims no such order and refused to explain why his staff had lied to us around. Why not simply inform original order was not receive instead of making us wait 4 hours for a non existent order on Fathers days. Manager kept placing all who called on hold to avoid subject with lame excuse of contacting postmates and not acknowledging wrongdoing from Restaurant staff and erroneous information provided.

Im sure they have decent barbecue at this location however I did not experience it while I was there. Horrible service. The server was too busy on her phone to bother assisting me when I entered. Once she did, she seemed pleasant, but my mood was already soured. I asked some questions about the meats, and her knowledge was abysmal at best. Once the food came, it was cold, and not cooked properly. I inquired about it, and she called the cook over, but he couldnt speak English, so nothing was done about it. The portions were small, there was no discernable flavor to the meat (not seasoned at all) I was forced to douse it in the BBQ sauce at the table.3/10 would not recommend

We both ordered the Beef ribs and I know it was late (around 7:30pm) so I am guessing they didnt have enough quality ribs to make two plates. What they did was serve us one plate with fine meaty ribs, and then the second plate was obviously the left over ribs of the day covered in sauce to hide how non-meaty, dried out, and awful they had become. NOT COOL. With the two plates side-by-side, it was that much more obvious. It was like a before and after demonstration!! I was with a business client so decided not to publicly complain about it. They could have been honest with us and just offered the pork ribs or perhaps chicken instead of serving us such an awful plate of old ribs. I want my money back!!!

The same location as the old Outdoor Grill, the new all American BBQ has almost everything of what outdoor grille had except for french roll bread, here you get a hoagie :/. Ordered a full rack of ribs, BBQ beans, and mashed potatoes. The full rack of ribs werent enough for two people, that must have been a 20 pound pig. The ribs were pretty much inedible without barbecue sauce, but their barbecue sauce wasnt very good. The BBQ beans were actually wonderful, but the mashed potatoes were average with lumps of potatoes left in them.

The trip tip and pork ribs were faboulius and we couldn’t stop eating the fries. The portions are so big, my husband and I were able to split a combo plate and I still ended up taking food home.

Tri-tip sandwich and fries are the way to go. If you were a fan of the old Outdoor Grill you will find the Tri-tip and fries are the same as they were before. The sauce seems to be the same or similar so that is nice as well. Burgers are not as good and the mac and cheese is so so.
