My experience here was very great. Showed up and the atmosphere is very mellow and relaxing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. When the food arrived I was taken aback by how good it was and the portions were way more than what I paid for which was great! Overall this place is a hidden gem and will definitely be coming back.

This restaurant is so yummy and the owners and workers so so humble and kind. A little boy drew them a picture and they put it on the wall 😭 it was our first time coming out and they gave us a complimentary snack as a thank you for supporting them. The atmosphere was very family oriented and I cant wait to make this a main food spot!

We a got the breakfast plate with katsu chicken and the BBQ pork (cha shu), and a large order of the macadamia nut pancakes (right now they are called monster pancakes for Halloween). Everything was done very well and was devoured quickly. Easy to recommend anything here.

Okay, Google, get it right! This place is DEFINITELY open for business, and the food is GREAT! I made the mistake of thinking they had regular portions, so I upped the size to large on the extremely tasty macadamia pancakes... ooopppsss! My photos says it all and the price is on point with the taste. If youre going for savory, tasty food, this is a value.

Aloha all! Gotta say the loco moco here was hella good and that gravy was lit and delicious. Dont be fooled by its presentation. In addition their Macademia pancakes were good and they offered fresh coconut water. Swing by if youre near and check them out.

I personally think the coffee was a little strong, but I drink it black.. so Im sure adding Creamer its perfect for most. But price cameout to $26 for a shared breakfast with my husband and I, and we still couldnt finish it! Lol sooo goood

I got a recommendation for this outer worldly pancakes here, so - honestly - theyre homemade pancakes tasted like cake with their custom homemade custard dashed with macadamian nuts on top. I like the food better than the pancakes, in all honesty, the Loco mock plate was just bustering with flavor and their spam sushi rolls hit the spot also,

I’ve been wanting to try them for the longest time! Their hours are a bit shorter than others so when i was in the area, I took my chance of going in. The macadamia pancakes are the best! Sadly I didn’t take a photo of the cream but I’d come back for the pancakes 100%. loco moco was pretty good too! Their portions are decent. Their food comes out pretty quick. Yes, you’d have to wear a mask when you enter! Lots of cars going in and out so you won’t have to worry about parking.

2 entree breakfast plate / loco moco (Hawaiian meatloaf soaked in brown gravy), kalua pork, 2 fried eggs, rice - 5 🌟!Whoever decided to make meatloaf, smother it in brown gravy, then add eggs and rice and call it a breakfast dish needs to stand up and take a bow. What a f-ing excellent breakfast combo.Ive enjoyed Hawaiian BBQ for many years but have never tried loco moco before. I finally had my chance at Aloha Food Factory.The place was busy the entire time I was there and is clearly beloved by the neighborhood. I completely get it. The food is amazing.Im a big guy, so I also had the kalua pork. Honestly, kalua pork is one of my top 3 pulled pork meats ever in any cuisine. It is just so tasty when done well, and this one was awesome.The eggs, rice, and gravy made for a very satisfying and savory meal. I used to work in Alhambra. Im kinda bummed I never went here. There were more items on the menu I was eager to try so Ill have to find time to return soon.

Their most popular dish is the macadamia nut pancake but they have plenty of other favorites as well. Portion sizes were huge and it was well worth the price. Loco moco was a little salty but it works so well with the kalua pork. The pork itself was delicious and juicy. Then for the dessert itself was exquisite. Last ly, the pancakes were fluffy, custard was sweet, and the macadamia nuts added a great crunch.

At my old job, I did catering and we would put a Loco Moco for special breakfast but this places taste waaaaaaaaay better. The way the cook the eggs be so huge!! The beef is a good portion. Everything was great. My girlfriend got the beef Teriyaki as well and we loved it so much flavor. Been passing this restaurant for a year and now I just had to get something from there. It’s really worth the price and everyone was nice.

Stopped by here last weekend because I saw that they sold shaved ice! I ordered it to go, came in a nice big container. Great portion!The shaved ice totally hit the spot. That day was a crazy hot day in Feb. I got ordered “the works” which came with condensed milk, red bean, vanilla ice cream on top of the shaved ice with one flavor. It was sooo good! Japanese style. I also ordered a shaved ice for my son. He got lime & mango flavors.Will definitely be coming back to try their food.

This place offers a very good taste from Hawaii, have some very signature plates that represent the food from the islands. Also they have shave iced and one of the most fabulous pancakes Ive ever eaten, even in several restaurants in Maui, HI. I lived there and this restaurant help me with my Hawaiians cravings.

Got takeout on a Wednesday.We ordered the island plate with BBQ pork and katsu chicken. The BBQ pork was cooked well but on the sweeter side of our preference. The chicken katsu and the stir fried veges were amazing. We also had the macadamia pancakes which many people have sworn by but werent our favourite (could be a function of not having had them fresh though).Would definitely dine in and retry the macadamia pancakes next time.

So, I hadn’t been here in three years because I’d moved out of state. The food is phenomenal but the service is lacking. This place is not fine dining or even known for its ambience but the food served is always delicious. My father enjoys this place so we brought his lady love to experience it and I wish it had gone better.So, you now order at the counter and retrieve utensils and condiments from a shelf by the counter - weird. For a small place with a few tables and booths one would think this wouldn’t be like a cafeteria but here we are. It’s a good thing the cashier isn’t a waitress because she didn’t get the number of orders right. I asked for three Loco Mocos w scrambled eggs and she only got two. I asked for a large order of the macadamia nut pancakes to share and so when they didn’t bring the third order of Loco Moco i got up to ask when that would be served. The cashier was surprised that I hadn’t asked for the third when I had ordered them individually. We paid the nearly fifty dollar check, including 15% tip. Again, the food is delicious but ensure you repeat your order and check your receipt because the cashier won’t take responsibility and then offers to finally charge you for the item she missed - as my father and his lady are halfway done with their breakfast.We were patient and waited for the third order to come out. Why would someone sit there as the other two people are dining, the pancakes are untouched and napkin and utensils sit there waiting for the open spot in front of them for a plate of food? The cashier looked around like she was going to find the verbalized order under the screen and behind the counter - confused.Service has gone down, dramatically. We used to be greeted warmly and fussed over like you were at home.Aloha has lost that welcoming and warm feeling.

Wow! Great food and the portions are big! Makes me wish I was back in Hawaii. The loco Moco was good and the macadamia nut pancakes were amazing.When you walk in, you grab a menu, pick your table, then order at the register. They will bring out the food to you. We haven’t been here since we moved out of LA County back in 2020. They have seating outside now. We dined inside. They also added more seating inside. The question that my wife and I had is where are Betty and Ernie? We are use to having one of them taking our order. You now have to place your order at the cashier. They take your food out to you. The food tasted the same. I ordered the breakfast plate with the sausage and over easy eggs. We also ordered macadamia nuts french toast. I think they use thicker bread now. Theres an area where you can get utensils, ketchup, soy sauce, plates, napkins, and to-go containers. They also have bins where you can put your dirty plates and recycle cans. Aloha Food Factory is a hawaiian family owned mom and pops restaurant located at the corner of Westminister ave and Valley Blvd. They offer authentic hawaiian breakfast, lunch, and supper. Prices are affordable ($10 minimum credit card). Ample of food choices on the menu. I went here on a Sunday morning, I ordered the Spam (spam, 3 eggs, rice) breakfast and it taste good; serving was just the right amount. Interior design and decor is quaint and simple with Hawaiian family infused vibe. Space is very limited and cramped. They have 10 dining tables. Service is moderately slow. Aloha staff was friendly and somewhat attentive. But I believe there is much needed improvement. Free parking lot is of midsize. Overall, its a decent restaurant/diner.

My rating is mostly on the taste of the food and a hint on the serviceThe food:The macadamia pancakes were amazing! We also tried the macadamia French Toast but it wasnt as fluffy still really good though. The breakfast plate was huge it came with a choice of meat, rice, and 3 eggs. We also tried the Kalua pork, cha shu, spam musubi, chicken Katsu, Portuguese sausage. The spam musubi wasnt that great, but all the rest were good. The chicken Katsu was a little bit more crunchy that most places and the sauce was jelly like but still really good. The Kalua pork was super moist and tender super flavorful without the porkiness. The Cha Shu was a little dry but still good flavor. The sausage was not the best but not the worst so it was alrightThe service:The service was a little slow. The lady was really nice but assertive. She seemed to be the only one in the front of the house and it was full. But the girl who helped her out when the place was full gave quite the attitude when we asked for water. She didnt bring it the first time around (we asked for 3 waters she only brought 2...given her hands were completely full) so we waited a while about 8 minutes before we asked again mind you this is a really small restaurant and everyone else was already serviced or their drink order was being taken. Her initial response was the coffee was being made before she even fully heard what we were asking her about. Her eyes said it all when she glared at us with the really?!? annoyed face. She really didnt seem like she wanted to be there and it showed in her service.The size of the place:We were a party of 8 which is probably the largest party that can fit in this little restaurant that doesnt get in the way of their other customers. All other tables were of 2 to 4. There were about 4 booths that could fit about 4 people each then about 3 tables for 4 and 2 for 2.. its an extremely small resraurant. It does have outdoor seating but Im not sure they take orders outside unless they seat you out there.Handicap friendly?Not really... maybe not at all if wheelchair bound. Its really tight spaces. Youd fit but may get in the way of other customers and the waitress. This guy couldnt use his walker once he got inside and they are about the same width as a wheelchair.Restrooms?Yes but outside of the restaurant and you need a key (which is understandable)Parking?Yes! More spots than tables at the restaurant it seems. Which is nice if you want to meet up with a friend there and bring 2 cars.Takeout?Yes!Overall great food! Great drink options! Service could improve, but when I go somewhere its not for their service.Fun little Hawaiian themed restaurant

Aloha Food Factory is a mom and pop restaurant. Parking can be found at the back of the building. The homey type feel of restaurant with a couple of booths and tables to sit at.I came with friends on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was pretty packed, we waited about 10-15 before being seated. We all shared the macadamia nut pancakes and macadamia nut french toast and both were amazing! I love the cream on top, its not overly sweet and goes great with both! I ordered the katsu chicken and the katsu was SO CRISPY(one of the crispiest katsu chicken Ive ever had)! I love how crunchy it is and the chicken was still very tender. They gave a lot of large katsu pieces and definitely do not skimp out on it. It came with a side of potato mac salad, rice, and veggies. The mac potato salad is so creamy and yummy that we took 2 lbs togo. SO YUMMY cant wait to come back for more Hawaiian food! :)

So I will start by saying I have had a lot of Hawaiian food. On the mainland and on the island many many time. This was so bad I felt upset. I order kalua pork. It was drenched in soy sauce. It was soon salty I couldnt had to stop. Plus the chicken katsu batter was so bad. It was hard as a rock. Plus just incase you didnt have enough soy sauce they give you more to put on you katsu. No katsu sause. Kalua pork also smell strongly of liquid smoke. If you know what good Hawaiian food is suppose to taste like dont come here.

Ive been here before but never left a review. Its a nice little mom and pop shop with few tables and good food. At times it can be packed here. They have a sign up sheet in front but they dont really pay attention to it. If you sign up and leave and some one comes while your gone, they are going to get the next table that opens up. That happened a few times the last time we were here. Came here for breakfast and it did not disappoint.Wife got the small order of macadamia nut french toast. Their macadamia nut french toast or pancakes are both awesome. The spread on them is not too sweet with pellets of macadamia nuts all over it. The only downside is that the spread is cold so it makes your food cold. Makes it feel like more of a dessert than breakfast.I got the Hawaiian breakfast combo of loco moco and kalua pork. Its fantastic. You get a nice sized burger patty and eggs cooked to order. The gravy is nice and the kalua pork is not overly salty. All served over rice. It really hit the spot.Also ordered a side of hash browns. They come nice and crispy. Not soggy at all so that was great too.

To be fair I just came back from Hawaii. So, I really like the Macadamia Nut Pancake and the garlic shrimp in Hawaii and I wanted to try if the pancake and the garlic shrimp here were as good. I would say that it would exceed my expectation because it came close to the one that I tried in Hawaii. The other dishes were also decent. But really came here for the Macadamia Nut Pancake and the garlic Shrimp. It would be great if the garlic shrimp be made spicy like I had it in Hawaii because it didnt taste spicy at all. Overall, would recommend this place

Must have run out of fried rice... Dont try and pull a quick one over a family from Hawaii, though. Rice was mostly white rice and undercooked (browned as gravy mixed in because I was looking for the other ingredients... found peas and carrots; nothing else!) So obvious that your cooks feel they can get away with cheating your guests. Beef patty was dry and, obviously, pre-cooked. Easily 1/2-inch patty cooked in about 5-6 minutes (about the time it took us to get our order)🤔

Not sure what the B in window is for. I liked everything. Its cozy. Self seating and walk up order. Had cha shu at Rutts on Venice Blvd. I like Alohas better because chopped pieces for better way to mix in your rice. Got the macadamia nut pancakes. Those are good as is no butter or syrup needed.

I love this place! My sister and I first went here a couple years ago and the service and food were so great that now we cant stop going. The place is fairly small, but even on a busy weekend, Ive never waited more than 15 minutes to be seated. The owner-this super sweet lady- always comes and talks to us and gives us her suggestions on whats good. I always get the Hawaiian breakfast with rice, eggs, and cha shu! And we always get the small order of Macadamia Nut Pancakes. The sauce on those is the best thing ever, you cant go wrong with them! And the people are so nice and they always split the order in half between my sister and I. The service is so fast and they always make us feel at home. Also side note- they have very good coffee. I dont know what kind they use but its delicious and flavorful. I will keep coming back!

Got the Kalbi. Plate had several bones with no meat and the pieces with meat had tons of fat. The vegetables were overcooked. I left the bbq pork because it had a bad smell and it honestly tasted like they cut up jerkey and marinaded it with teriyaki. I got the masubis. I could tell the spam was cooked extra not sure if it was going bad or by the dryness it was old. Not sure how this place has such a high rating. Seems like one of the worst places I have eaten. I have never left food at a table and left. Mind blown at the rating and my experience.

I ordered and loved their Macadamia Nut Pancakes (short stack). Two pancakes with their “secret sauce,” (the consistency of whipped cream but less sweet and with some yummy flavor I couldn’t identify), topped with macadamia nuts. The result was delicious and two pancakes were plenty (when I had suggested I might order the three stack instead the waitress / cashier politely told me that was too much.) She was right.The Hawaiian menu is packed with a variety of comfort food that singles, couples and families all will like, at an affordable price.The atmosphere was simple and the cashier and chef were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very small & homey. We got in at 11am on a Sunday with surprisingly no wait (though we did have to share tables). The groups after us had to wait. Theres just one sweet grandma lady who does most of the waitressing, so service can be slow. Our pancakes were great! The cream was airy and you could clearly taste the macadamia nuts. I couldnt finish mine since Im not a big sweets person. We also got a loco moco, which tasted pretty average. I think the hamburger meat was a bit dry. Overall, a very good deal for the quantity of food you receive.

I love this place, it is Hawaiian comfort food. I order the Aloha Plate almost everytime, but my wife and kids love the macadamia pancakes. I would say the macadamia pancakes are their most popular dish. Most customer are returning customer, the owner Betty is so nice, very easy going. Best macadamia nut pancakes ever! The custard that goes on top of the pancakes is one of the most memorable things from my trip to Los Angeles. When we ordered, it came with a huge tub of the custard and i honestly could’ve eaten the custard on its own but it pairs perfectly with the soft pancakes and the crunchy macadamia nuts! Colorful table cloths protected by plastic. And chairs that probably date back to the 80s. Its definitely homey.Service was straightforward, which I appreciate. I’m a regular at this place, I used to come every other weekend but now I’ve managed to control my impulse and only go once a month. Great family business. The older lady that is always here is very friendly. While most people will recommend the breakfast fare, I really like the Loco moco. The burgers are juicy and the gravy is perfect, taste of onion and not too salty. Its a little pricey compared to the random other hawaiian joints, but the Loco moco is worth it

One of the best Hawaiian restaurants in the area, they are famous for their macadamia nut cream covered pancakes. They also have a very interesting and very good Hawaiian style Char shu pork which is not quite the same as what you would find most other places but is excellent. You can actually also get unusual combination dishes like a Kalua pork burrito.

We have been to Aloha Food Factory for a few times already and I just never had time to write my review. This is a family owned restaurant since 1994. Very friendly and chill environment. I suggest to come early on the weekend at least an hour before they open. They do get busy quick so if you come late you may have to wait for 30-40 minutes before you get seated. They serve Hawaiian inspired food. They make your food fresh to order, so it does take a little while before it gets to you.Good for breakfast, lunch or brunch.I like going here for breakfast though. My favorite is the Macadamia pancakes smothered with their special sauce. You can order it small (2 stacks) or large (3 stacks). The Portuguese sausage and eggs are one of my faves too. I also recommend their loco moco. You cant go to a Hawaiian restaurant without trying some loco moco.They also have plenty of sides that you can order from or some additional items. Like spam masubi.No matter what kind of food you order I guarantee youd like it. Its one of those places that makes you feel right at home.

This is my #1 go to breakfast spot in Alhambra. I know thats kind of weird to say since they offer so much more than breakfast like snow cones and alcohol, but its just so homey that you feel like youre going to Grandmas house for breakfast. Betty is such a sweet lady and the familiar staff faces of her grandkids, nieces, nephews and so many more make it so comforting.All plates can be shared. Me and my partner always get the small stack of macadamia nut pancakes, 2 combo plate (2 kinds of meat with rice and egg) and a cup of Hawaiian coffee and milk on the side. The sweetness of the macadamia nut cream with the saltiness of meats (usually we get sausage and kahlua pork) make a great balance. The price isnt bad either. Just make sure if youre coming on a weekend, be ready for a wait. ESPECIALLY Sunday mornings.

Heard this place was amazing and had great service and we got seated right away which was nice. But my brother and I sat at the table for 30 minutes and no one even acknowledged us. No drink order was taken and I even asked one of the servers if we could place an order and she nodded and walked away but even after that no one even looked in our direction. We sat and watched two other groups waiting outside for tables come in, get seated, and order before us. Ended up just leaving after 40 minutes

As someone who was born and raised in Hawai`i, this mom and pop style place has some delicious authentic-tasting Hawai`ian food! We had someone in our party who has dietary restrictions but our hostess was very accommodating and found something for them to eat! The entire staff was so friendly and we hope to visit again!

Came here for brunch to try their famous macadamia nut pancakes. Its a small mom and pop shop with around 10 tables.Their pancakes are so fluffy!! I thought the sauce on top was going to be a coconut sauce, similar to the one I had in Hawaii. However, it was a custard sauce that reminded me of a custard donut. Either way, it was very yummy!! My bf got the two meat breakfast plate. You get to choose 2 different meats, and its served with rice and eggs. He ordered the kalua pig and cha shu. Wow, the meat was soo good!! The pig was sweet and I highly recommend it.Ill definitely be back!!

I hadnt been able to find anyplace that had bacon fried rice since Shakas in Monterey Park became an unreliable place. That is until I found Aloha Food Factory. They have an excellent bacon fried rice. They have a variety of types of fried rice, with Portuguese sausage, spam, kahlua pork, shrimp, chicken, etc. Very good portion size, and they do NOT skimp on the bacon. Unfortunately, their hours make it almost impossible fro me to go during a work day, but theres always weekends. Im looking forward to trying other dishes as well. Their loco moco, katsu, and kahlua pork all looked excellent.

Gigantic portions and very tasty plates. I got the katsu. for $9 I got 2 gigantic cutlets and rice and Mac salad. my son got the loco moco and that was 2 gigantic patties and 3 eggs. we also got the shave ice. very good way to end the meal. the staff is very nice. parking is easy

Small case serving common Hawaiian diner and drive in food. Buttery, fluffy pancakes topped with Alohas special whipped syrup with Mac nuts are very tasty. The chicken katsu is very crispy and the prob is large. The dipping sauce is ok, but not as good as traditional Japanese tonkastsu sauce.The Kahlua pork is well crafted, smoky and tender and not too fatty.

This has one of my favorite noodle soup: Saimin wonton noodle soup. If you like saimin noodle soup or wonton noodle soup try it. If you like spicy, try it with couple drop of Sriracha per each spoonful instead of mixing Sriracha into the soup. Their marinated kalua pork is like nothing else.

I am so sad to have to give this restaurant a one star review. We drove by it and I saw macadamia nut pancakes on their sign and told my boyfriend I knew where were going for breakfast! They were not that crowded when we got there and the atmosphere was quaint with Hawain keepsakes around the room and different surf inspired tablecloths I was immediately enchanted. I am a huge fan of mom and pop restaurants! We waited at the door for a bit even though it didnt seem busy and then I finally caught the eye of a girl who asked me if we wanted to go. I said no we came for breakfast. She then got a young man who seated us, menus were on the table....that would be the last time anyone talked to us for literally 20 minutes. Another couple came in after and they were seated quickly and then he moved a family of six to another table. I took the time to read the menu (Ill admit I stared greedily at other diners coffee) the menu had lots of things I hadnt tried before and I was mapping out in my mind how many visits we would need to make for me to try to order all the things that tempted me. A man came out, my feeling is that he was the owner., and took the order of the people that came in after us and got them drinks. Then another couple came in and the young boy sat them. I waved him down and begged him to at least get our drink order. Apparently he couldnt, only the older guy....so three employees, only one taking orders and doing drinks.he sent the guy out who apologized took our order and then went to the big table and took theirs before getting our drinks. Fair enough they were there even before us and it was a sad hungry comedy watching their table and ours keep making gestures at the waitstaff trying to order ( they were busy....um...chatting????)Another table of two came in. They got our drinks and the family table drinks and coffee made me a little happier, the boyfriend not so much. The. The food started to arrive! I got my French toast and then the family got their food...no site of my boyfriends order of stir friend veggies. I had almost finished mine and the two tables that came in after we ordered had their food... No one would make eye contact . Finally we got the man to come over...if you lost track, three tables that came in after us got their food,and two of them finished before they checked on us!!! The man said, what did you order? And then called to the kitchen for them to STARTt making it. My boyfriend said never mind were leaving. No apology, no, .let me comp your bill...nothing and the door was packed. I added up from the menu what we owed and left if on the table. This was THE WORST SERVICE I have ever experienced..,,EVER! I dont even have tips for people to help except dont go or maybe take out? We eat out every meal and try new places all the time and let me just reiterate THE WORST...underline WORST service ever...oh and my food was cold..how does that happen???

So happy I finally made it here. Ive heard about this place for the longest time and been wanting to try. It seems like I only remember is Mondays or after 7pm. I dont know why - maybe Im still on Hawaiian Time. hahaha I digress.Side note - I was very hungry since I missed breakfast waking up at 9am to go to an appointment on the westside. So why didnt I eat? I was holding out for the Aloha Cafe since I *finally* remembered it on this Friday afternoon. I made it in here around 1pm (see) STARVING!!!I got seated wherever there wasnt a patron - I chose a booth and the menus are on the table. Yeah, so its slightly older looking and yeah, the place can use a solid scrubbing in certain ares but Im ok - especially when I saw that their bathroom was spot on clean!So my eyes were hungrier than my stomach. I did mention I was starving, right? I ordered a small order (2 pancakes) of macadamia nut pancakes AND the hawaiian breakfast I chose Loco moco with three sunny side up eggs. Im not sure what some people were saying about the gravy being bland. It was a great mix of salty and meaty goodness. Also, the hamburger patty was soooo flavorful. DELISH!!!!! I sop up my drool as Im typing this fyi. Also, the macadamia nut pancake had this AMAZING sauce on top - vanilla-y, nutty, creamy, decadent, sweet. Amazing. And the pancakes had a great texture - fluffy, nomnomnom nom... everything I ask for in Breakfast - savory then sweet.So good! So so good! My tummy is so happy.Oh - all this plus a $3 tip, was $18. I had leftovers to feed me for dinner. oh nom nom nom! They serve beer and some drinks here.
