Amarin Thai Cuisine in San Jose

We were unimpressed when we last visited many years ago, and they didnt redeem themselves during this visit.What kind of Thai place doesnt have fresh Thai peppers? They only had Sriracha in tiny plastic containers.Service was painfully slow: 45+ minutes to get our entree... When only 2 other tables were occupied. And then we were presented with the credit card machine even before seeing the bill.Should I return many years from now to give them another chance? Hmm... Naah, so many others to choose from.

The rule of thumb for restaurants is always that if its empty at lunch or dinner, dont go there. Well I should have took that advice. I ordered the Pumpkin Curry with a side of coconut rice. The pumpkin was not cooked, in fact it was way undercooked. There were almost no other vegetables but what was there of them was also undercooked although not as severely. The sauce was okay so I thought well at least I have sauce and rice. But the coconut rice -in a tiny container thats normally packed full- was barely 3/4 full. Furthermore the rice was somehow shredded like steel cut oats, so that was very disappointing as well. Overall my experience here is one star. The atmosphere looks nice enough but it was empty and I took my food to go. The people working there were nice enough but the one girl had on a typical covid mask, which only 1% of the world is still wearing, and did not speak up to make up for having fabric covering her mouth so I kept having to ask her to repeat herself. I definitely think its way overpriced for not only the portion that I received but the preparation of the food. Never order to-go from a place youre nut familiar with.

A normal Thai restaurant, with dishes you would recognize. The seating is a bit cramped, but acceptable.Try the super green curry, noodles with tofu, and the coconut soup for appetizer. We also had a young coconut, it was chilled and yummy.The service is a bit slow, you might have to get their attention.

I cant say enough good words about the food. The quality and the taste are impeccable! Some servers arent as accommodating as others but overall service is quite good. I could eat here everyday!!

The service was fast and the price is good for a quick lunch spot.The food isnt that great though. Got the vegetarian pad Thai for lunch(12.99+tax,tip). It was a pretty good value, but the seasoning on the pad Thai was strange. It was really sweet and not that sour or salty.They did have some unique sounding Thai dishes like sukho thai soup: Khao soi chicken; or yum Khao tod on their specials board that maybe worth a try.

Solid Thai food. service was a bit slow, but that is unusual. Ive been several times before and usually its faster.

Waitress did not take down our order. She just tried to memorize everything so she brought us shrimp 🦐 for all the dishes. We wanted seafood in the 🥗 salad.

The place is in a plaza. The restaurant itself doesnt have much Thai restaurant. Prices are about the same as other Thai restaurant. For me I thought the food wasnt good nor bad hut the BBQ chicken I got was hard and felt it was left out a long time ago before serving.

Delicious food, clean and a nice cultural experience if Thai food! Restaurant is very clean and in order, staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and fast.Timing is perfect, very fast!
