Fantastic sushi! Our first time here, so we just had rolls, but the food rolling out to other tables looked amazing too. Very fresh, very tender. Zero tough spots or fibers. Colorful and beautiful presentation too. Service was friendly but very busy, so be prepared to wait for any followup attention. Cozy local vibe, too, loved it!

The food amazing somtimes you have to wait for perfection. Service the boys are truly busy. We got our drinks and they never came back. Only down fall.

Sushi was delicious. It was on par with pricey restaurants, but closer to a budget price. Great value, tasty rolls, and overall good vibes in the restaurant. Only complaint is when we called to make an order for pickup, they declined due to being understaffed. Didnt make sense to me, but hey, Ive never run a restaurant before.

Ive been here a few times and its been a mixed experience. The most recent was a pick up order for my kids birthday party and the food was just awful. We ordered mostly California rolls which are so simple you would think its hard to get wrong but they were practically inedible. The avocado was so brown it was unrecognizable and ruined the flavor. The texture of the rice was not good either. It really felt like we were given the previous days discards and Im just grateful nobody got sick before we threw away the rest.

We enjoy sitting at the sushi bar and talking with the sushi artists. Sushi is always good, and they will make whatever you like. Our go-to sushi place in Placerville.

Ordered soup and two rolls. After waiting 40 plus minutes the waiter apologized because their tablets went down but we watched table after table receiving orders despite a lot being seated after we placed our order. 6 Togo orders made there way out and approximately 7 tables came and left, it would have been more genuine to have said they lost our ticket or neglected to enter it. Very frustrating will not be back as the dining area is very small and noise bounces off the walls and service was trash. Multiple reviews regarding timing issues, I regret giving them the benefit of the doubt. By the time we were ready to purchase the soup and leave the fried rolls came out they werent even cooked more than what a pancake would have after an hour and twenty minutes wait.

I’ve lived in the area for 10 years. This used to be my favorite restaurant. Not anymore. The quality of food has gone downhill and the wait time has tripled. The best thing we had on Saturday was the miso soup. 🙄 I think I’ll try Shila’s the next time I’m craving sushi.Last thing….the music is terrible and way to loud. What is happening!?!

I was hesitant about going after reading some of the reviews but Im glad I went! excellent food and service. Im not a sushi fan but the others in my party wanted to go there . they have a lot of cooked dishes that are great. Their rice is fantastic as well. I had a tempora citrus chicken that was to die for. I highly recommend this place. prices good as well

Should have went to Shila’s. Waited 40 mins -during a not very busy time- for mediocre sushi. Service is bad. The staff aren’t busy with tables, they’re busy with themselves and couldn’t care less about you. The best roll we had was the Rooster. The kid chicken meal was a joke; a bed of rice with mostly tempura chicken and the thinnest slice of orange and pineapple as fruit. What kid eats plain white rice? Definitely not worth the money so won’t bereturning. It’s a bummer my husband and I came here for our anniversary.
