Such a cute little most authentic Italian restaurant! Had the best time by my self! Had the carbonara which I finished!!! Thats rare ! The aperol spritz was a delight the service was amazing I would be very happy to go back ! This place is a Must!

Only thing good about this place was the food, All the tables except ours got asked if the food was good, if they needed anything or wanted dessert. The room is over crowded, you sit way too close to people. The bus boy had absolutely no manners at all, said thank you to him several times and he just walked away. I had to ask the person who wasn’t our waitress or bus boy for another iced tea. Will never eat here again. The food was good, but not worth the return.

The food was Amazing!! It was like I was in Italy again. 😭😭😭 Simona, the owner, couldnt have been more lovely. The lasagna was one of the best I have ever had. My Son enjoyed the Pasta Amatriciana. (The smoked guanciale was authentic and yummy! i.e. it wasnt American bacon.) The Prosecco was excellent and the tiramisu was divine. Go!! Have dinner at Amoré Mio! Youll fall in love. 😍😍😍

Cute spot tucked in the back between shops. My wife and I enjoyed the food and talking with the owner. The portions were enormous when paying for the extra charge. The owner paired some nice wine with our meals. Although the outside dining over the creek is nice, it can sometimes be overpowered by the highway noise. Overall pleasant!

This is a very cute authentic Italian restaurant that I highly recommend for a date night. Food is made with love and service was friendly and offered good recommendations. The wine is very reasonably priced as well as everything else. Decided to buy gift certificate for some friends up in that area also. It is hidden a bit off main street through a long court yard, very pretty.

Wonderful food:) great service. We started with the bruschetta but ate most of it before I remembered to take a pic. The house Italian wine the owner recommended was delicious. I had the cheese ravioli and she did half beef ravioli as well. My son had the ravioli special. It’s the best ravioli I’ve ever had. They also brought two little biscotti with two tiny glasses of port at the end of the meal. Very nice touch:) Wonderful place. I highly recommend.

It took a while to get our food but it was worth it. The Gnocchi was very good and the triple fried chicken. It is expensive, but definitely a good date night restaurant. They did ask if we had reservations but when looking for where to eat it did not recommend making one, so maybe make one?

Little rather dingy hole in the wall with overpriced food, attitude waitress and higher prices. Our of three meals, o e was out of this world (pistachio shrimp pasta), one was ok (pasta del mer) and one was so bland it almost seemed the chef did it in purpose (some rigatoni with ricotta cheese and basically nothing else). The bread is perfection. For some reason the server did not like one of our party and gave her attitude (it was really weird). The pistachio dish is worth the price. The other one was definitely something we should have sent back and risked upsetting the cook. The back room is loud and had to have a conversation. Prob better on the patio. Cool lil hole in the wall.

As always, dining at Amore Mio Bistro deserves 5 stars! The owner and servers are friendly and accommodating. The food is amazing. I wanted a vegetarian entree, and the owner stressed that since they make all their own food there, they can do anything. Therefore, I requested gnocchi with asparagus and mushrooms in a delicious white sauce. Fantastic! My husband had the Salmon and Shrimp with Grand Marnier sauce, which he loved.The restaurant is tucked away on Main Street at the end of Creekside Plaza. In addition to indoor seating, there is limited outdoor seating overlooking Hangtown Creek.

Incredible place. If you havent been, you need to go. food is wonderful, extremely hospitable. The only reason I dont rate service at a 5 is that the servers, while friendly and attentive, are a bit young and not very confident. I hope theyll receive the coaching they need to be assertive and direct with their customers.

This little Italian place is tucked into the back corner of main street and you would absolutely miss it if you didnt know it was there. That only adds more to its charm. Filled with Italian art and decorations it really feels like a little Italian home.The chef speaks with every guest and makes it feel like you are part of the family. I could not get enough of her accent and the feel of this place! But thats not why youre here.You come to a place like this for the food and let me tell you, its by far the most delicious, authentic, scratch made Italian food Ive ever been able to find! The perfect place for a date or family meal I highly suggest you check it out!

Went here the other night. Snagged these gorgeous gnocchi with Bolognese sauce. So good. Portion size was a little small but either way. We hit up the stuffed zucchini flowers and bruschetta too. All was great and on point. I would def recommend those place. If you want desert. They will bring you a platter to see the options. The tiramisu is great. Worth it for sure.

Started off with the Calamari which was extremely fresh and a marinara that had a good kick to it. Then we loved on to the lasagna and ravioli, which was excellent! The merlot and Zinfandel were tasteful and paired exquisitely with the food. Finished it off with a slice of tres leches cake, which was absolutely delightful!!!

Dining here was truly a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff is friendly and amazing, the food was amazing, the dessert was very amazing! In the beginning they offered complimentary bread and a cheese plate, both were delicious. I think they have the best bread Ive ever eaten in my life. After our meal and dessert, we were offered a bite of biscotti and a sample of candy wine to end our meal. This is truly the best restaurant in Placerville and I will be coming back. 10/10 would recommend.

Nice, tucked-away place for eating outside (if you have the option). It is next to a creek and I have seen reviews complaining about the smell, but we did not have this problem... maybe it depends on the day? The sauces are well made and they have some homemade egg noodle pastas, which melt in your mouth. I dont think all of the pasta is homemade however, which would have been nice. Either way, inviting atmosphere, friendly people, good Italian food. I would recommend. I had seen on the website that it was under new management, so I cannot say if I experienced any changes in quality because of that.

First restaurant I’ve been to that allows you to order a larger size entree for a reasonable price. You can further customize to add chicken or shrimp for a good price.Overall nice experience, the owner came out to welcome us and take order, answered questions, even told us some of her story when we asked. If weather allows, sit outside and enjoy the sounds of the creek below as you dine!Food came out quicker than expected and was quite tasty. Reasonable bill.

I went to dinner for the 2nd time here this past weekend. Even better than the 1st time! My dinner companion got something the 1st time called The Kings Bite. It was so scrumptious that only having a little bite off of his plate that 1st time, Ive been craving it constantly! Obviously, thats what I had for dinner this time. We also ordered a bottle of wine this time. A local wine, the chardonnay from Boeger. Yummy. OH! I almost forgot! We started out our meal with a special season time soup. It had a bit of a bite to it, which I loved! It had a tomato base. Whereas, the Kings Bite had a cream sauce. The portions were enormous!!! Which is fantastic for me, because the next day, I had lunch & dinner! Simona, the chef & owner, is so nice, & fun to talk with. In my honest & humble opinion, this is the BEST RESTAURANT in all of El Dorado County! It is my goal to go to dinner here once a month. I would also like to take my children & their spouses out for dinner here. Im positive that they will LOVE it. I again made reservations this time. Though it truly seems that even if you dont have reservations, they will definitely get you in & seated promptly. Already, I cant wait until next month!!! See you soon Simona & Marcos (her very sweet & efficient son). They definitely make you feel at home & comfortable, while at the same time making you feel that you are in a very top shelf restaurant where you belong. The owner was a lovely lady who explained everything I asked her to a T. She was very friendly, patient and very attentive to her customers. The food was amazing best mushroom I have ever had in my life. We didnt have reservations and still they made room for me and my family. My family and I sat and had dinner here tonight. The food was really good and we wondered why we hadnt eaten here sooner! The smoke outside was horrible but tucked away and right next to the little creek the air quality was significantly better AND it was shady and cool which was great considering how hot is has been. Our service was great! The reason Im leaving a 4 star and not a 5 is only because we were seated near their shared dumpster area and kept getting huge wafts of garbage smell. Otherwise it was great. We will definitely eat here again!

I very seldom visit any restaurant, let alone higher end establishments such as this, however, I am never disappointed whenever I come here. The food is absolutely superb, pastas cooked to the point of perfection, and flavors on point. Likewise, the staff is excellent and friendly, albeit, seemingly overextended at times, though clearly having the customers best interest at heart and willing to go the extra few miles.The small, mildly noisy and cozy atmosphere here is much to my liking, and is a nice change from many wide-open restaurants that tend to be excessively noisy. A little more attention to lighting, I think, would really help out.During the rare moments I get the urge to eat out, Amore Mio lies very high up on the list.

The food is the best Italian food in El Dorado County. The restaurant is a hidden gem in Pville with a relaxing dining experience. Indoor and out door seating. The food is served hot and the sauces are delicious. Definitely order the meatballs. They have a nice choice of wine and beer. Bread and dip is provided upon sitting. The appetizers are amazing. We had the zucchini blossom. Each bite was like a party in my mouth. Also try the desserts...great selection of Italian desserts. The service we received was very professional and we felt well cared for. Excellent food and service. Cannot wait to go back again and again and again.

We are afamily of 4 from out of state we are here and every single thing we had was a hit! Our littles ate every bite, the staff was amazing and so quick to help clean up a spill. When we woke up the next day our oldest requested that I give them a 5 ⭐review. And then requested we eat here tonight... Here we are again, staff was ready for us with crayons and cups with lids 🤪. As locals of Placerville who frequent local restaurants and shops we were very excited to hear a new restaurant had opened, but very disappointed with our experience there. We saw our waiter twice. Once to order and once when he brought our bottle of wine. Otherwise all of our courses were brought out by bus girls. Who by the way were very pleasant. Our waiter never inquired if we were enjoying our dinner. We also observed two women walking around introducing themselves as owners to surrounding tables. Throughout our whole dining experience they never came over to our table to acknowledge us. We then observed every table receiving a free appetizer the owner or server would just bring it out, out of the blue saying it was on the house in thanks for there patronage and in return that they only ask for a nominal donation to the fire victims. It was a nice gesture and I would have donated. The point is that it was never brought out to us like everyone else. Apparently they did not appreciate our patronage. I ordered the crab fettuccine. Could not find one piece of crab in the sauce. Seemed like the sauce was only flavored with some kind of fish juice to give you the impression there was crab in it. We were looking forward to dessert. While we were dining we saw the owner walking around to the tables describing an assortment of desserts to guests on a tray. We waited a while after our dinner plates were pulled for someone to come to our table to offer us dessert and no one came around. So we asked the bus girl to see the dessert tray and she said we ran out of dessert. You would think the owner would have, maybe at this time, come to our table, introduced herself and let us know they were out. Since she was the one going around from table to table describing the desserts. Still never saw our waiter again. Even though he was there. Oh wait, I was wrong, we did see him again when he brought our check. Then when we put our card out to pay all of the sudden the owner came out of the wood works and swooped up our payment card real quick. Our bill was over 100 dollars for two people with average plate costing 15 dollars in this restaurant. We ordered appetizers, wine, higher priced entrees. We were completely ignored. I would think that being a new establishment the owner should acknowledge all guests that walk in the door. Locals are important to Placerville businesses . We are all not tourists that frequent shops and restaurants here. We are the ones that support you when the tourists go. It was just so strange for us that this is a small intimate restaurant and we spent more than most people there and we were totally ignored. It was almost a slap in the face how friendly the staff and owner were with everyone else and our presence didnt matter. We will give this restaurant one more try cause we truly do want to support local . Hopefully it will be a better experience and it will be another go to restaurant for us with friends and family that come to visit us in this beautiful town we live in!

We just went there for our 39th anniversary.we ordered dinner and it took a half hour to get the salad.Then waiting longer they aked us if we were ready for some dessert. What? Ohhh my God, this place has some of the best Italian food I have ever had, the service is perfect, the owner comes out and checks on everyone, had the best cheesecake ever and it wasnt just a regular cheesecake, it was a pistachio cheesecake.. Yea pistachio cheesecake!!!!

Very rude owners, asked 3 times to speak to them and were always too busy, dont think they can handle the restaurant when it is busy...weve been living here for 38years and seen so many restaurants go out of business, we wanted to tell them about a pasta that was under cooked, they did cook it some more but we want them to make it but they just got really rude and threatened to call the cops because we were trying to talk to them, it would have been very simple but I think they were overwhelmed because they were busy..dont think they realize whatll happen when its not tourist season and they need the locals to keep them afloat...the food was very bland, weve been to Italy many times and also ate at superb Italian restaurants, werre from San Francisco so we know good Italian food..again we were trying to help but they just lost it... We would never go back there and intend to let all of our friends know how they treated us, maybe theyll learn from their mistake
