Completely vegetarian place. They have the best Dosa’s. Sambhar was the best i have ever had in bay area. Coconut chutney and Ginger Chutney was very tasty. Idlis were soft and fresh. Onion uthapamm could be a little thin. Their sweets were very authentic too. Must try if you are around.

A very cute cozy spot for authentic South Indian food lovers. Dosas, pooris, idlis, vada, upma, chutneys, sambar, thali items, lassi etc are all very yummy! I will update my review and hoping to add one more star after trying their roti pachhadi options. Serving style is almost to-go friendly.Menu is very competitively priced.

The food was good. My fav was onion rava masala dosa. It had a nice potato filing and onion and pepper in it. Vadas were freshly made and tasted good. Overall good ambiance, good customer service, good outdoor seating. My husband enjoyed the onion Dosa. Kids loved the chole bhatura and poori.

Visited this restaurant on 07/30 during the 50% off promo. Even though the place was busy, we were seated within 20 minutes. We ordered Rava Dosa, Rava Onion Masala Dosa, Pesarattu Upma, Vada, Mysore Bonda, and filter coffee. The Mysore Bonda was outstanding, and the chutneys, sambar, and coffee were all really good. This South Indian restaurant provided excellent service. We will definitely visit again.

I LOVE South Indian food so when I noticed Amruth Vilas, I had to try it. We decided to go there on my wife’s bday - a high stakes test! And boy we were blown away!!! We ordered the Mysore Masala dosa, idli and vada combo and lemon rice. Everything was on point and the chutneys were the best anywhere in the Bay Area. They serve a peanut chutney, a spicy and tangy tomato chutney and a yummy mango based chutney. Each of them had amazing complex flavors and they elevated the dosa and idlis to another level.Apart from the food, the service was super fast (we got our food within 10 mins of ordering it) and the staff is really kind and caring. Our kiddo found the lemon rice spicy and they got a chocolate dosa for her on their on initiative.This is going be our goto place for South Indian food and a great time from now on.Highly recommend 👍🏼

Went to Amrutha Vilas on the day of its opening by chance. The place was chaotic. Seating was limited because they were serving 50% off on the bill.But, thats where the chaos ends. The food was great! All their dosas, bondas and wadas were awesome! Each chutney was well made too. I would get their stuffed Mirchi Wada again! It has a different peanut based stuffing which tasted beautiful. Their Mango lassi is awesome too! Plan to go here once more this week.

The food was freshly prepared and served hot!Tried their regular idly, ghee karam idly, Bombay jini and andhra bandi dosas and Bisbellabath served with papad, which were all delicious.Was worth the long drive for the South Indian food.

We were a group of eight, and the restaurant had spacious indoor and outdoor seating suitable for larger parties. The food was excellent - we ordered almost all varieties - idli, vada, poori, pongal, and dosas, all with an authentic Indian taste. The chutneys and sambar were also delicious. I recommend this restaurant to Indian food enthusiasts and those new to Indian cuisine.

Hands down🙌 One of the best South Indian restaurants in the Bay Area!The Ghee karam idly melted in the mouth.. the softest idlies : had to order two additional plates 😋😋.The assortment of chutneys curated from a South Indian household was a great combination with the dosas and wada.It was my first time trying Andhra Bandi dosa & Bombay jini dosa and can’t wait to go back to eat again.Very friendly staff, quick service. Loved the outdoor seating!Overall, a very satisfying dine in experience in terms of food and service

Ordered veg pulao, Mysore bonda, Dahi vada, Andhra bandi dosa.Food is tasty and fresh. Allam chutney is good.They say it take 20-30 min for the order to be served but they are quick and staff is friendly.
